Negative experience: Extremely long wait! Once they switched over to Abra everything changed. You will wait 45 mins plus too be seen! Sometimes even an hour. I had an appointment for 10:30, two hours passed and I still wasn’t seen.

Fantastic experience: This is such an organized office, everyone from the front desk to the back office are compassionate, patient and knowledgeable. Fatima, Fran and Eduarda helped me today at the front desk and they truly went above and beyond to make sure I wasn’t in pain standing up for too long. The facility has everything you could need from a dental office, the orthodontist upstairs, child friendly providers and specialists to help you. I checked in at 10:45am and in less than three hours got my cleaning, four cavities filled and started the insurance authorization process for a root canal. If you’re looking for a place with efficient care who accepts tons of insurances? Come here, you won’t regret it.

Negative experience: Very unprofessional staff. I had gotten my crown done a few days before. My crown broke by just eating soup a few days later, i whent to the clinic and doctor said the person who did it in the clinic did it wrong and that the work wasnt done the right way and thats she was in vacation. And that now they have to charge me fully to get a new one done. Instead of fixing their mistake they wanted to charge me fully for something that wasnt my fault. They wanted to charge my insurance for a scan knowing they wherent going to give me a solution to fix their mistake. Spoke to the manager was rude and very unprofessional, told me that there was nothing they could do about the mistake they made and that i should of called if there was something wrong with my implant, acting like i was a doctor or something, and that i should find another clinic.

I swear, the man gets a glint in his eye the moment he hears “something popped off.” He didn’t just retie my braces he gave them a full spa day and motivational speech. I walked out of that chair like my teeth just got promoted.

Negative experience: lack of respect for people who come tired from work and hungry. disappointed . the last time I went with my 5 year old son. I wanted to get an x-ray. They left me waiting until closing time to tell me that they could not continue the care for my 5-year-old son. They did the x-ray reluctantly. all the employees leaving and eating ice cream while they told us to wait.

Negative experience: I visited Abra dental today on Orange street in Newark. I’ve been coming to Abra dental for approximately 5 years. All 4 of my children are patients here. The hospitality now versus 5 years ago is so much different. There front desk people are extremely rude and arrogant. There a plus size girl with glasses at the front desk that was very rude and insensitive towards me. This type of behavior is truly unacceptable. I never been publicly humiliated in this way. The side conversations and lack of professionalism was appalling to me. However, I’m glad this is only a snippet of the staff at Abra. And I hope that management will address hostile treatment of patients .

Fantastic experience: This is the best Dentist place I ever been the people that worked. There are great people person never had a problem with this place. I give this place a thumbs up.

Negative experience: This place is ridiculously unprofessional. A waste of time my appointment was 11:30 AM it took 2 Hours to my son to get seen by the Dentist.

Negative experience: I've been going to this place for years and I used to be happy with it. However over time it has severely degraded in care quality and has had the worst record keeping and communication in ANY health care office I have attended in 35+ years. Critical records and or authorizations shared between it and my PCP or hospitals have been arbitrarily retained or lost and only brought additional troubles for me, wasting both time and money. They have repeatedly refused to contact my PCP directly and have me serve as an unnecessary middleman at a cost to myself. They have willfully misinterpreted orders from them with no intention to clarify or go over details with anyone involved in my care. They have failed to reach out to me with critical information almost every time I need to visit; if I don't bring it up then it would be a wasted visit and/or work day in which I am forced to reschedule. Worst of all this is mostly on an administrative and practice level, all issues of which they have passed the blame onto their frontline reception rather than admitting any fault or correcting.

Negative experience: Terrible! 2 hour waits and they take terrible xrays not showing what they need to see and catch the damage way too late, not to take accountability on bad xray techs. I would NEVER recommend ANYBODY go there.

Positive experience: Today, I visited this office on Somme Street after a long time. The waiting room wasn't as crowded as it usually is on a Saturday, but the wait was still pretty long. However, I do love bringing my children here because they are really good with children. The dental hygienist Anayka and the receptionist at the desk Mia-Sarah were very helpful in getting me squared away with records and escorting me between two levels to ensure seamless service. Usually, when my children come here, if they have a cavity, they are able to fill it the same day without causing trauma. My kids don't stress when they have to visit the dentist. This is why I drive an hour to continue seeing them.
