Fantastic experience: I love taking my toddler to Rodeo. It's fun and easy. Although the appointment itself can go very fast the Dr and assistant are very transparent about my toddler's 3 MR! Negative experience: I had an extremely negative experience at this location that has had me scared to take my little ones back. My 3yr old and 4yr old had cavities on both sides of their back teeth and needed to be moderately sedated for the procedure. We went over the cost for my 4yr old som first since he was the one experiencing tooth pain. They told me I would have to pay out of pocket for the sedation medication over $300, and part of the dental work that was not covered by my insurance for a total of over $500 for them to do it all at once (both sides needing crowns). I was overwhelmed and financially burdened that I was not able to do the procedure right away even though my son was having tooth pain on one side. When I finally managed to get the money together and went in for the procedure, they medicated him and I waited in a room with him for the medication to kick in as I was told. The medication kicked in and my son had to lay on my lap because he was so drowsy. They took so long to come back for us all the while my son was sedated with me holding his head to prevent him from bumping it. They came back and took us to start the procedure and the dentist ended up doing only half the work. One side of the mouth. I was then informed that I would have to come back for the rest at a later time and he would have to be sedated again. They told me I would have to pay over $300 for the sedation AGAIN! Plus any other out of pocket costs. Due to the lack of efficiency, I ended up stuck paying double. Mind you, I have yet to do the other side of his mouth or any work on my daughter. I can’t afford to pay out of pocket for such a great expense and they refused to assist in some way with the financial situation. The dentist told me they don’t deal with the money or financial part of it. But I do feel it is important for them to mindful so that they don’t make it more difficult for those having to pay of pocket without the means to do so. My 3yr old has yet to get anything done and my 4 yr old still has only 1 side of his mouth needing care. I’m afraid to go back. I wish they would’ve been more mindful and efficient, or made some type of effort to assist with my financial hardship. Better planning of care. It is not right for me to have to pay for the sedation twice because they took so long to prepare for and take my son in while he was already sedated.

Negative experience: People will waste your time here! I called to set up an appointment and I provided all my information my insurance member ID and the insurance that I use. I filled out all my online preregistration forms. I show up to my appointment on time and just so they can let me know that I have to pay for everything upfront and insurance will reimburse me half ?!! Why was I not notified about this while preregistration!? Who has $500- $600 just laying around! Don’t waste your time here or make sure what is covered before you waste your time here!

Negative experience: At my daughter’s check up/ cleaning I informed the Dr one of her crowns was moving. She took a slight look stated “it’s fine it’s not moving” of course I’m trusting the Drs words SHES A DR. During that following week my daughter began to complain it was really bothering her I called to schedule an appointment again with a different Dr this time and of course the crown was moving. The Dr stated for that she would need to see the specialist that placed the crowns I understood of course and they scheduled her for Friday ! (They did not have any weekend appointments for weeks out) when I asked for the time they stated they would call me a day or two before with the time. Which is hard because I work but given my daughter was not comfortable of course I’ll figure out a way. Upon arrival for appointment at three they stated the specialist was done for the day but my daughter can see the same Dr she last saw.. FOR WHAT IF SHE TOLD ME LAST APPOINTMENT SHE COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. They stated they could schedule mid April or Saturday in Alamo. I LIVE IN MISSION. In my opinion if they weren’t over booked and took time with patients this could’ve been taken care of a lot sooner.

Negative experience: I wasted almost $3,000 worth of money for my braces here. I was paying them myself out of pocket, l'm a student and I told them to let me know of my treatment plan because my parents aren't paying for it. I'm 18 and they would ask my parent to come or only tell them what my treatment plan was , which is so ridiculous like I'm the patient. I don't not recommend coming here to anyone..l had let them know about me leaving for college and all of sudden they wanted to remove the teeth l've been waiting for 3 months to be removed. It kept always being pushed back.. then they left me with one bracket missing, which is so odd because I told them to not remove a bracket. It's been almost 3 years since l've gotten treatment there with no progress at all. I highly recommend not coming here at all.. go somewhere else where they'll actually help you

Negative experience: Where do I start.. planned to get braces on our daughter, we had to get fillings done first. The fillings were cutting our daughters tongue, took her back in the next day and they billed our insurance to fix the mistake they caused. That was January. February 6, we went in to have premolars pulled for the braces. Was told by manager that she talked to the orthodontist and he said to pull them, Dr Borah injects our daughter with the novocaine, then comes back and says the orthodontist does not want the teeth pulled until after the braces go on. Where is the communication in this establishment? Did the manager lie? Oh and two of the teeth they filled were the premolars which they plan on pulling, you can bet they charged for that too. We will never go back to Rodeo and that sucks because we really like the orthodontist!!
