Negative experience: So i couldn't even attend to my appointment i had set with them because the appointment setters/ receptionist over the phone couldn't confirm my insurance from 10am-7pm smh, My appointment was on 07/04, so i called them multiple times on 07/03 to see if they confirmed my insurance because the insurance company was closed for July 4rth, they kept telling they would have it confirmed by the end of the day because they are busy at the time, well long story short that day i received a voicemail at 6:50Pm Saying the same thing that they haven't verified with my insurance but will before i get there, which is impossible because my appointment was set for 07/04 at 10:00am, which is right when they are open! and once again my insurance was closed on July 4rth which i told them several times so if the receptionist area is incompetent, i would not feel comfortable with sitting in the chair regarding my teeth absolutely not which is absolutely ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Edit 6/25/25: I had an appointment with Dr. Koo. She was so kind and thorough with my cleaning. She also took the time to give advice and explain things. I highly recommend Dr. Koo. Thank you so much! Edit 6/23/25: received a call from the practice manager who offered to do another cleaning with a different dentist. Will update review after this second appointment! Nice staff but I went in for a full cleaning - literally nothing was done except some polishing.... no scaling, flossing etc. The actual dentist was there maybe 5 minutes. what's the worst part of this is that I have to find a dentist that will do an actual cleaning but now I'll have to pay out of pocket since insurance will only cover one cleaning a year... it's definitely a scam. Reporting to my insurance. just go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Great service! I love Midtown Family Dentistry! I went back for my 6 month check up on Tuesday and everyone was very pleasant and professional. The dentist was genuinely happy to see me and inquired about how I've been which made me feel valued. I love coming here even though I have always feared going to the dentist. Midtown Family Dentistry always makes me question why I even entertain such an irrational fear, because I always leave happy and satisfied. During my last visit, I had a cleaning and I love the way my teeth feel and look! Finally I've found my permanent dentist office for life! Thanks for taking good care of your clients. Because of your professionalism and honesty, I will continue to refer and return to the best dentist office I've ever had. I had a tooth canal today and it went well. I have braces now and I love the service I receive here! *Update I have had braces for 8 months now and it has been a great experience! I love my smile, my orthodontist is a professional who knows what he is doing. I feel so good knowing that I can trust Midtown Family Dentistry with my smile. I am so happy that I went through with it because I'm only half way through and my smile has already improved drastically! Thank you all!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience with this clinic. Everyone is so kind and professional. The place is clean, and there are plenty of staff members, so there’s hardly any waiting time. Appointments are quick — you're in and out in no time. I went last week with my three daughters for a check-up, and we were back home within an hour. It’s been a long time since I received such professional and courteous service. After my daughters were seen, they offered me a free cleaning and check-up. Honestly, I didn’t expect such a high level of service since I wasn’t paying for the cleaning — I assumed it would be something basic. But they really took their time and did a thorough job. I highly recommend this place!

Negative experience: I don’t really quite have words for the experience I had. Still feel a bit disillusioned. It was like a nascar pit stop teeth cleaning after being left alone a lot and waiting and them seeming to be more interested in having you sign paperwork and paying than actually taking care of your teeth. I feel like it was too fast of a teeth cleaning and lacked attention to detail. And I don’t feel the exam was thorough either. I have an aunt who just died in the last 6 months from tongue cancer. And every dentist I have been to has screened for that and examined your entire mouth and not just your teeth. My appt was at 9am. I didn’t get called back until 930. And I left at 11am after having a 5 min teeth cleaning. The person doing the X-rays never confirmed anything about pregnancy or offered any of kind of lead protection. A deep cleaning was done that they wanted to numb my mouth for. It took about 50mins to get my mouth numbed. The numbing gel was put on my gums that sat for a long time waiting for the dentist to do the injections and my mouth was filling up with saliva and I didn’t want to swallow because it had lidocaine mixed in but there was no one in the room to help me or offer suction so I had to get up from the chair positioned up high and spit in the trash can. And after that just swallow. And the teeth cleaning was all of 5-10 mins and felt very rushed. Both the dentist and the hygienist over me and it was very overstimulating. Not explaining what they were doing. And the next thing I know I taste a mint taste and they are like you are done. I’ve just never experienced a dental visit like this one. I’ve never been left alone in the chair for long amounts of time or had cleaning experience that rushed and like they are juggle too many patients at once.

Negative experience: Worse experience I’ve had with a dentist office EVERY SINGLE TIME I come it’s something. I’ve experienced doctors pulling a tooth while talking to their assistant and laughing over my mouth and I felt every part of my tooth being pulled like my Jaw was being broken. I’ve experienced a root canal while feeling every part of it because my doctor was too busy talking to acknowledge me putting my hand up as I was told to do whenever I feel pain and it wasn’t the medicine wearing off, I felt it from the beginning. I’ve experienced rude receptionist about being 5 minutes late although I live a hour away and I’ve made that clear to the staff countless of times even when I make the appointment. I’ve had problems with the orthodontist not paying attention to my X-rays of my mouth and notes. he would try to charge me for “broken” brackets that were never on my molars to begin with. I was almost charged for a dental assistant breaking my bracket after she put the same wire on (she didn’t tell the doctor that she broke it) so I stopped going all together because I’ve had many problems with them. I tried giving them another chance because they BRIBED me with money off my braces and a free x-ray if I took my review down but they’re constantly causing issues for me at every appointment. I was told to pay $200 to start my orthodontist appointments again . Come to find out that wasn’t true I had to restart my payments . I also I drove a hour drive to my 6 month appointment and they told me I have to pay out of pocket because of my insurance (didn’t tell me that my insurance wasn’t available anymore like they usually do and didn’t tell me a price when scheduling) so I drove a hour for no reason. After this a manager proceeded to call me about my review that I made trying to bribe me if I deleted my review. I kindly declined after she went back and forth with me . After a while I got my insurance updated and scheduled a cleaning which was October of 2024 . I made it to my appointment on time and sat in the lobby for a HOUR , everyone that came after me was called to the back before I was . After waiting for a hour I was called back and waited even longer I had been there for 2 hours and a half in total . I then saw the orthodontist where he stated I needed to restart my braces and start the whole process over which I was fine with he told me I needed my tooth extracted before . I declined to get my tooth being pulled at the time because I had work later that day. I also needed a fill on a cavity after my insurances help it would’ve came out to be $75 out of pocket. (I was cornered at this appointment by the ortho and manager about my review online) Fast forward to today the reason I will never go back to this dentist office . I came in for my 6 months cleaning and to get my tooth extracted and my cavity filled . The cleaning was done very fast (lazy cleaning and half done) the tooth paste was rubbed on my teeth and my mouth was rinsed and that was it. The doctor then proceeded to tell me my cavity grew a little more and asked if I feel pain or have any sensitivity. I then replied that I don’t (I’ve had a root canal done before and I’ve also had a tooth extracted due to nerve damage so I know how it feels if it’s hit my nerve) she then tells me we can try a fill but I may need a root canal and told me that she’ll let me know. After spending 20 minutes talking in the front two women came in she said the other lady was shadowing her (I’m known in this office for leaving my bad review and not taking it down) they proceeded to tell me that I can’t get a fill and it has to be a root canal I told them I’ve had a terrible experience with getting a root canal done here and that I felt everything so they recommended me elsewhere . I proceeded to mention that she said we could try a fill and it was thrown out the window. I didn’t agree with the out of pocket price and I don’t trust their judgment so I declined. I was told that they’ll take my braces off for free. After declining their other services they came back and told me it’ll be $500

Fantastic experience: Switched to midtown family dentistry after having a bad experience with my child's old dentist. Firstly the staff is helpful, responsive, and friendly. Our appointment was at eleven and we were out by eleven thirty nine. They are very kind and gentle with my son. Kindly explaining steps they were taking each time. Afterwards they gifted us a cane's certificate for a free kids meal along with chuck e. Cheese tokens. We will definitely be coming here from now on. As a mother I highly recommend taking your children here. Thank you for the great experience! Update: 6 months later and my son is still a fan of midtown family dental. He still feels at ease and comfortable here. I continue to recommend it.

Negative experience: After taking my daughter to this office I decided to send my husband for an exam due to a molar bothering him. After being quoted for multiple root canals and fillings we went to seek a second opinion. Multiple dentists saw him after visiting midtown dentistry and they all agreed that he didn’t need half of what he was quoted at midtown, he didn’t even need a tooth canal... GET A SECOND OPINION!

The reviews are fake they ask you to give them a good review and they’ll put you in a raffle for $100. They also pressure you to get treatments done the same day.
