Positive experience: Dr and nurses staff was super friendly and great with my toddler. But the receptionist was rude and not friendly at all.

Negative experience: EVERY SINGLE TIME. Every single time either myself or someone in my family goes here we get an extra additional charge. We have great insurance but they up-code everything. My 3 year old at the time got a little fussy, they charged insurance for an uncooperative child which was denied and we ended up getting a bill for $35. Something like this happened the last 4 times we've gone and never had this problem before.

Fantastic experience: My daughter had a horrible experience at another dentist and I never thought I’d get her to see a dentist again. My son is non-verbal autistic and isn’t always comfortable with the dentist. Growing smiles staff and dentists made my babies feel safe, secure and at ease. I switched myself there as well. I’m so thankful I found them!

Positive experience: This was our first visit. Reception was pleasant and we were seen within minutes of our appointment time. The dental hygienist and dentist were also pleasant. However, she began cleaning his teeth without explaining what she was about to do. She was very patient with him and responded to any pain or discomfort he felt. We prefer to know the plan for the current visit and any future visits needed before work begins. I will be sure to ask more questions and will know more after our next visit. They need to get the elevator fixed. We both walk with a cane which took a lot of time going up and down their many steps! If we had come with his walker or chair, we would not have been able to keep the appointment.

Negative experience: This is the second time I have had an appointment and they had the wrong information in my account. 1st time the Dentist asked if I still had my heart condition. I told him I never had anything wrong with my heart. He realized they put another patients info in my records. The 2nd visit they were going to work on my bottom right side until I told them it was the top right side. Not going back there again.

Negative experience: I never liked growing smiles and this my second time changing locations we started out in Mount Laural now Voorhees the elevator is broken I had ACL knee surgery I had to go up all those steps granted I know things happen but it’s still broke 6 months later & they rush apt dentidt comes in see the child no X-rays no cleanings don’t answer concern questions. I’m in the process of trying to change dentist apt for my 5 year old child

Positive experience: Office was cute, but elevator was broken- hard to carry two children up two flights of steps simultaneously. Doctor was sweet, but spoke rapid-fire and the appointment felt rushed. Wasn’t even given a complimentary toothbrush which children look forward to. Check-in and check-out front desk staff could really use work on their professionalism and friendliness. Working where you work is a choice- if you don’t like your job, don’t subject others to your negativity, especially in an office for children.

Negative experience: I live 30 mins away, which means an hour commute to get here and home. Came in a little late (about 10 mins) for an appointment I scheduled nearly a year ago. Tried getting an earlier appointment because I am pregnant and they couldn't schedule me in until 8 months pregnant. Didn't realize how bad school traffic would be, and already having tons of trouble breathing, had to climb a ton of stairs to just make it into the office (due to elevator out of service) with my four year old following me closely behind. They said they could not take me in or accommodate me until october now. Did not find availability aside from this to get even one pregnancy check up. Very disappointed. Bring my son here and never had any complaints until today.

Negative experience: I've changed my review from great to not do great. Things have gone down drastically. The customer service is okay but the entrance is horrible and the elevator is still broken. The worst part is my son was not numbed well at all for a cavity and I feel the multiple needles without any numbing was torturous for my child especially. He once LOVED to go to the dentist but now he is afraid.

Positive experience: Waited 20 minutes for a 5 min visit. I was hoping it would be more kid friendly and exciting as a pediatric dentist, especially for a first visit but it was nothing special.

Negative experience: The great thing about this place is appointments are pretty easy to make which I love however I have a special needs son who can not voice his pain and discomfort. We bring him to the dentist just to rule it out and a receptionist has basically made us feel as if we are wasting their time. It made me feel uncomfortable bringing my child here.

Fantastic experience: The BEST dentist office I have ever been to in my life! First off they were absolutely amazing with my 2 1/2 year old princess! On top of that they were incredibly helpful for myself. Starting from when you walk in the door with the women at the front desk, to the gentleman who did my x-rays, to the woman who did my cleaning and to Dr. Mike who did the work on me, everyone here is amazing! I would highly recommend bringing your kids and children as well as yourself to this Office. Thank you for taking care of my little girl as well as myself.

Positive experience: I was 15 mins late to my app today and due to that they didn’t do my cleaning. But I have to say that I was late due to last minute different directions they had to inform patients which was very confusing to get to The office , the main entrance wasn’t operating I guess and they texted patients a last minute directions . I was upset because they ignored that fact when they decided to cancel my cleaning , I just got X-rays and the evaluation, the receptionist was very nice and professional about it and she listened to me

The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that my children and I are comfortable and each experience is memorable. The staff is friendly and the female Dentist is extraordinary in her delivery, preciseness and care toward me. The Pediatric Dentist is beyond awesome with children. My son Jordan has behavioral issues and gets very excited and anxious when we have to see the dentist but with Growing Smiles it was so easy for us. I am so happy I switched. Service matters and personalized patients care matters. I have had a front tooth that was out of alignment with the other visible teeth and for over 30 years I have tried on numerous occasions to get this corrected and today 1/16/2020 this is behind me because the Dentist worked assiduously to get this tooth just right. I am forever grateful for this team. Thanks everyone. You are making a world of difference in your approach in your industry. #ServiceMatter #EmotionallyConnected Last Visit Personally I did not like my last visit. The employees at the front desk and check out areas were very friendly and helpful as well as professional. It took me over a year to get a cleaning appointment! Something is wrong with that. The employee who helped to take the images was exceptional awesome and professional as well. I was not comfortable with my hygienist. I mentioned I had sensitivity issues and we had agreed to cleaning and asking for breaks whenever she hit the sensitive areas and I could tell she was taking my concerns personal and even though she tried there was something very unsympathetic with her energy. It was almost to the point where she mentioned my concerns were not unique to and everyone makes the same mistakes and is going through the same issues. Wow I feel like that response lacks empathy and care. She tried to be gentle but I was very uncomfortable with her in my mouth and I was happy when she was done. I would never recommend her neither would want her wait on me again. The dentist came in and without any introduction he went straight into my mouth while have a conversation with the hygienist about a patient that was late and made the day sucks. When I asked for his name he mentioned he had waited on me in 2019 and I knew who he was. His recommendation was, you needed a night guard, it was said in a very casual and hasty manner. I asked was there any other solutions for a permanent fix and he mentioned to the hygienist to refer me to Dental Solutions along with a few other options. I smiled because if this is the new way of doing business, Growing Smiles will not be around for long. This is appalling and I know when work becomes mundane as humans we can forget about the real meaning of showing up as professionals and serving each client with dignity and compassion each and every time. I don’t think that these are bad employees but I do think the compassion and joy that comes with the everydayness of the job has gone dim. Some training and coaching around being enthusiastic and reminders of what dentists do for the team and their clients as they are literally changing lives and making a difference when they show up professional, polite and caring. My hope is to see a lasting change in this area. Thanks for helping and for referring me outside to seek further help for my sensitivity issues. My children love this office and the pediatrician dentist is completely amazing. I appreciate all the help. 4/21/2025 Overall a very pleasant visit. The front of house, the entire staff and our dentist were in great spirits which made the visit pleasant. Thanks for serving with such grace and care

Fantastic experience: My first appointment was the next day after I called. The people who u call to schedule are always helpful and friendly. The process to get my new teeth was quick and efficient as well!!

Fantastic experience: I brought my 2 year old here today for her first ever visit with the dentist. Initially, I was nervous about how it would go but as soon as we got there, my daughter was very excited to meet her dentist! They had Nick Jr. on the tv in the room which just added to her excitement. The dental assistant asked if I had any concerns for my child and relayed them to the dentist. As soon as the dentist arrived, she greeted both of us and was very sweet to my daughter. She immediately addressed my concerns and was very informative which was nice! She performed a very brief exam and promptly cleaned my daughter’s teeth. For the first time ever, my daughter had fun getting her teeth cleaned! The dentist made it look easy! She applied a fluoride treatment to finish. She gave my daughter a little care kit to take home that had a baby tooth brush, toothpaste, and floss. My daughter was over the moon about those! When checking out to schedule her next visit, the ladies at the desk gave her a token to get a prize. Overall, she felt very comfortable and didn’t want to leave. I’d say it can’t get any better than that! The appointment itself lasted 5 minutes if that. We were in and out of the office within like 15 minutes. Super relieved and looking forward to her next appointment!! ✨

Negative experience: This was my dentist for the past 5yrs and recently out of no where they told me I wasn’t allowed to come back to the office bc I missed 4 appointments in 1 year. I have small children and live an hour away, emergencies/ weather situations happen. I’ve called several times to speak to a manager and they never returned my call. I’ve spent a lot of money on work done for it to only keep getting infected and yet they won’t return my call. I’ve never been treated like this ever before by any dentist or doctor. There is something very wrong with this office that it should be looked into. Who denies a patient care??? To respond below with in an unprofessional manner says it all about this office. Yes, everyone has children and emergencies, as my Autistic child who has been a patient at your office for over 5 years, you stating my “conduct” is a heartless, disgusting comment. You are stating my “conduct” when I always called to cancel my appointments. You have a Manager named Jackie that never returns calls. Does she respond to the NJ State Board of Dentistry? Or is the owner to busy trying to respond to complaints filed against this office?

Negative experience: Would not let me in the back room while they put my son down for anesthesia and to work on his teeth. I explained to the doctor that he had separation anxiety and that I would feel more comfortable being there to hold his hand while he went under the anesthesia. With the most compassionate empathetic look in his face he said my doctors are great. I later found out. I had every right to be in that room if I knew my rights. I later left a one star review for them to refuse to take my son back when he had a cap fall off. I called everywhere trying to get him seen, but no doctor would take him. It was explained to me that this was a medical emergency, then discarding my son as a patient with no proper notice especially during a medical emergency was actually very illegal. You’re a child’s dentist office and you want to be petty over a Google review when you constantly send nothing but emails and text messages harassing us to fill out your reviews. So I filled it out for you. You did not like the one star, which was deserved. And wanted to be petty and cause a mother more stress while her son’s cap had to be placed back on within 5 days. Do not use this office!!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my daughter here for just about 3 years. We saw Dr Root and Dr Patel, both were very nice and efficient. My daughter is autistic and non verbal, she’s gets overwhelmed easily so they make it comfortable for her and keep the exam going. Want to add this is year number 6 and we have seen Dr Carrol for the past few, she is super kind and great with Kasie. She is very patient and thorough even when my girl is yelling or not happy. I really appreciate the kindness Kasie is shown from the exam room to the check in/ checkout desk. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carol was great. It will be my daughter’s first time on a laughing gas for the procedures needed to be done and she thoroughly explained the protocol to set them up for the most success such as early in the morning and with an empty stomach. Very informative and answered all my questions.

Fantastic experience: Both dentists helping my girls and the hygienist who did my younger one were SO nice and patient with them. Especially with my oldest who has alot of anxiety! She explained everything before she did it, to help calm her down. First time she didn't cry at an apt! I always like how they are good with my kids, we have been coming since they were babies! Positive experience: I love my dentist!! He’s wonderful. When I call, no one ever answers. I leave a voicemail, no one returns my call. Frustrating! The X-ray tech seemed lost. I felt she wasn’t confident in what she was doing.

Positive experience: Been going here for a couple years now. Office is nicely decorated especially for kids. It has a nice warm welcoming environment. Staff are nice and professional. The downfall is you will wait months for an appointment. I had my appointment cancel because my insurance was not updated, when I had clearly send them all my information ahead of time and had the proof, still had to reschedule. My cleaning this time was a little off felt like it was rushed, did not floss all my teeth and was a little harsh with the instruments. Dentist came took a 30second look into my mouth and said all good, I had to ask him if I had any cavities because I had some sensitivity to a tooth and he said nope. Maybe braces or Veneers would help with it because of the way my tooth was. My visit this time was okay. However they are great with kids. Adults not so much

Negative experience: I’m glad you asked! Been visiting for at least 6-7 years, every 6 months, myself and my child. Yesterday was ABSOLUTELY terrible! Had a “dry cleaning” a sharp metal device was used to scrape between each teeth, then fluoride was added, I was given a cup with water and told to swish & spit. That was my Cleaning 0/10. Then, I waited almost 40 mins to see the Dr! I got up to leave that’s when someone went to call the doctor. Those 2 stars are for the interactions, everyone was nice, including the female who did my “dry cleaning” but the experience was terrible! No flossing, no water, not the quality of service I’ve grown accustomed to over the years. My teeth DID NOT feel cleaned after. My son did have a better experience, his service was a bit more thorough & water was involved during his cleaning.

Negative experience: Waste of time... When I brought my son to his appointment they told me that I had an $86 balance due. They did not tell me that when I checked out last time, when I called to make his new appointment, or in any sort of mail or email. They refused to see my son until I could pay this balance, even though they could not tell me what it was for. Glad I called out of work and took my son out of school for no reason. Highly recommend going literally anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I've been terrified of dentists for a long time. Constantly having doctors hurt me by being too rough or having terrible work done... or just being treated like I'm money in their pocket. But EVERYONE in this dentistry was SO sweet to me, allowed me to take a break when I was getting anxious, and also so gentle. I have never had a cleaning that was done properly and painless until this dentistry. I would recommend this place over and over. This is the type of dentist I would want my own child to go to and that says a lot.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dentist ! We moved from another dentist (horrible experience at Kool Koala) and found growing smiles. I am so blessed we did ! My son has major anxiety after his experience at our previous dentist and growing smiles is super patience with him and very understanding.

Negative experience: I been going to this dentist for yrs. & as the yrs ago they are declining in bedside manners and don't do what they are supposed to. Covering up mistakes that they've made in your mouth and no mention. Very disappointed. My appointment was Wednesday. I left and seen another dentist the same day. Went in for an emergency visit and they sent me home telling me my mouth was swollen and an infection was too follow. Never prescribed medication. Don't choose them.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency and even though I wasn't seen there in a little while, they squeezed me in the day I called. I'm so thankful. Dr. Jay was incredibly professional and kind. He took the time to thoroughly answer all my questions and I was able to have my next appointment scheduled to remedy the situation fully within a few weeks. This location will be my dentist going forward. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I cannot give Growning Smiles enough praise! I have been bringing my daughter here since she was 3 (she’s 8 now!!) and wouldn’t even think about going somewhere else! Staff is beyond nice and patient! The office ladies were so helpful getting our new insurance updated and made a stressful situation way less stressful! They are so great and amazing with kids!! I’ve also transition myself to here and I’m so excited for my first appointment! Even with the mall closure, still wouldn’t go anywhere else! Negative experience: We showed up 10 minutes early and were told that we have to reschedule because the paperwork was not done. Meanwhile, their website was not working so there was no way to do it ahead of time. We drove 45 minutes one way and were EARLY just to be kicked out for taking too long with paperwork. And the front desk lady was very rude about it. I have never seen anything like this. Never coming back here again.

Positive experience: Growing Smiles is great and the staff are very nice and friendly. I am writing this review on behalf of my mom, Kim Nguyen. She got a crown done here and it would not stay, but she kept having to pay for it. It cost around $150 out of pocket. She has been back about 10 times now just for the one crown that won’t stay. Yesterday she went to get her crown done at Growing Smiles again and today the crown fell off. Tomorrow she will have to go back.

Fantastic experience: I was very happy that I changed my Granddaughters Dentist. Everyone at the office was wonderful. They put all her fears to rest and mine also. Would recommend the Growing Smiles of Voorhees office to anyone that needed a Denist.

Fantastic experience: So happy with Growing Smiles. Every visit has been pleasant and every staff member is always so kind and sweet! We went for a procedure, the dental assistant was so comforting to my daughter and kind. The dentist was amazing and made the entire process stress free.

Negative experience: Had my appointment canceled 2 times. I made my appointment in September and they only had a late December appointment available. Then they called and canceled it and gave me a January appointment which they also canceled. When trying to reschedule they put me on hold and never came back and then I was disconnected. What a waste of time waiting for these unprofessional people.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. It's a kid and family oriented office, but you as the adult can be confident in being treated in a mature professional manner. I was pleased with my treatment and experience. I had deep root and scaling performed. Each step was explained. The procedure was pain free. The dentist and hygienist were familiar with my dental history which made me feel secure and confident my care would be good. I will be returning again.

Negative experience: Just a trap for money—Doctor spent two minutes for the annual visit-- came, rubbed fluoride on my child's teeth without telling me why I needed that, and then sent me a bill to pay. When I called, I had been told that I should have said to them that we don't need it. Only if I have been asked or at least given a chance before she put it inside—just a waste of time, money, and effort!!

Negative experience: Do not waste your time….horrible customer service, availability and flexibility. There’s no consideration for there lack of accommodation..such as, I recently had an accident with limits how fast I can walk, you have to climb a high load of steps to enter thru the back of building, with no close parking as the lot is shared with residents who live across from site, along with shared businesses. My appointment was at 9:00am and I called prior to appointment informing them I would be 10 mins late which there is a 15 mi grace period. Also keep in mind this area is heavy for traffic and car accidents. I arrived at sign I desk at 9:19am and was told I could not be seen because I was late… there is no flexibility for there clients with disabilities, children and there current situation. Negative experience: I brought my 17 year old in, and had my 2 and 4 year old with me who was sleeping in the car. I politely asked if I could sign my 17 year old in and sit with my two younger ones in the car because of the construction and long walk into the office with sleeping babies and I’ll come in if need be when needed. Nope, doctors discretion, I had to bring both sleeping children in carrying them for that long walk, up the steps, through the construction. They have zero regards for family safety and sleeping children. Worst part about it, they didn’t need me for anything, didn’t get any information from me, nothing in the beginning or end. Literally nothing. Whatever doctor made that decision gets two thumbs down.

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient here for some time, and I have to say the dental team is fantastic that’s honestly the only reason I’ve continued to go. However, the experience with the front office is disappointing. The check-in staff are disorganized. I even tried reaching out to the office manager to address my concerns, but received no response, not even after sending a follow-up email. It seems the office manager is rarely available, as her team often says she’s “not there.” The front desk has repeatedly cancelled or rescheduled appointments without notifying me, which shows a lack of respect for patients’ time and commitments. I really hope this office can hire front desk representatives who are organized, attentive, and considerate. Patients make an effort to show up on time, often going through a lot just to make it there, and they deserve the same respect in return.

Negative experience: Seemed amazing for my daughter but then when I was supposed to have my appointment today I was cancelled last minute (just a cleaning). I understand even doctors get sick but then just because I couldn’t do 9am on Wednesday because I couldn’t find childcare I have to wait until FEBRUARY?! How is that fair?! I’m super disappointed and will be finding another dentist for my family and I.
