Negative experience: Complete scam. They sent me retainers that didn't fit and then tried to charge me 1000 dollars for a redo when it was their fault. They told me they were going to give me a 100 dollar discount and then when they sent the cost it was 300 dollars more than the original price before this discount.

Negative experience: The company itself and personnel are trustworthy, professional and understanding, the process itself needs vast improvement. If they would just get a 3-D equipment lab like the one office I used when dealing with SmileDirect in my area this process would have been so much faster and efficient. I could have had my impressions done quickly and correctly the first time. Because the trial and error trying to get a proper set of impressions doing it yourself took 3 mths of my time due to phone calls, lack of prompt communication to get to this phase of this long journey. Now I wait for the retainers to be made and mailed to me before this ordeal is completed.

From the beginning, their customer service was incompetent, unresponsive, and misleading. They made promises they never fulfilled, delayed everything, and offered zero transparency. Their entire system seems built to trap customers with upfront payments and then deliver poor-quality service with no accountability. Communication is abysmal. Once they have your money, they stop caring. Any issues raised are either ignored or brushed off with generic replies. AlignerCo feels more like a scam than a legitimate dental service. They are not what they claim to be—completely unreliable, dishonest, and untrustworthy. Save yourself the time, money, and mental stress. DO NOT trust AlignerCo.

Negative experience: This is A SCAM I NEVER RECEIVED TREATMENT! Paid my money and they kept saying we're waiting on the impressions. Then a few days later, they tell me I have to go to where I dropped the impressions off and ask them what they did with them. Then they say will send you out other impression kit then a few days later they contact me again. What size did you need again? Then the next day they contact me again what was your address again? They didn't have any problem getting my address when they took my credit card because they had to have it in order to put my charge through. They promised me $100 refund if I went ahead and went through with the treatment, they would send out the impressions and give me $100 refund. I never received $100 refund or the impression kit. Now they want to give me a $200 refund and send me the impressions right now. This company is the biggest hoax ever. Don't give them any of your money. THEY RIP PEOPLE OFF! If they succeed call your bank and file a dispute!

Negative experience: I’m extremely disappointed with AlignerCo’s refusal to supply me with my 5th aligner, which was accidentally thrown out. Despite being mid-treatment and having already completed several steps in the alignment process, the company insists that I restart the entire plan from scratch—at my own expense. This is unacceptable, especially considering that my teeth have already shifted and all of my dental records and smile projections are on file. I simply need a replacement aligner to move forward, not a full restart. I’ve tried contacting customer service multiple times and even spoke with a manager directly to resolve this urgent matter, but I’ve received no real help or accountability. This delay is affecting my dental health and progress, and I feel completely disregarded as a customer. AlignerCo’s lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to assist with such a basic and reasonable request shows poor service and disregard for customer care. I would not recommend this company to anyone serious about their dental health. Poor customer service ⛔ No accountability Wasted investment

Negative experience: Alignerco is an excellent way to achieve your perfect smile at an affordable price and from the comfort of your home. The process of making your molds is incredibly easy, thanks to the assistance of a professional during a video call. BUT…keep in mind that the price does include retainers, that you’ll need to get for an additional $500. You will need your retainers at the end of the process to keep your teeth in place.

Negative experience: AlignerCo has been the most frustrating and unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with. I’ve requested a refund multiple times over weeks, and despite having everything in writing, I’m still being ignored or redirected endlessly. After expressing clear dissatisfaction with my treatment and informing them that I’ve already begun treatment elsewhere, I made it crystal clear that I wanted a refund — not revisions, not discounts. Instead of honoring that, their “Resolution Specialist” repeatedly tried to offer me $150 off to stay, which I refused. I’ve now sent several emails and had to chase them down just to get basic acknowledgment. I also reached out via live chat, where an agent named Ele admitted she couldn’t issue a refund and wouldn't even connect me to someone who could. When I asked for a manager or someone in charge, she refused and kept repeating that I’d “get an email soon.” That never happened. I asked for a refund right now, and all I got was stalling and copy-paste replies. Here’s what I was told in live chat: “I am not the relevant person to issue you the refund.” “You will get an email soon.” “We don’t direct customers to our manager.” “Call our general number.” Even when I asked clearly: “Not email — REFUND NOW” — they ignored me. I told them this was unacceptable and that I would pursue legal action. Still, no refund. This is textbook bait-and-switch behavior. They will waste your time, avoid accountability, and hope you give up. But I won’t. I’ve kept every single message and email and will be filing complaints with the FTC, BBB, and Attorney General, and pursuing legal action. I am warning everyone — this company operates in bad faith. Just like BYTE was sued, AlignerCo will be too. Don’t fall for the low prices — you’ll pay for it with your time, sanity, and possibly your health. DO NOT USE ALIGNERCO.

Fantastic experience: I knew I wanted an affordable option for straightening my teeth and Alignerco had good reviews and aligned with my needs financially and process. So far the experience has been good, but I think there should be some clarity given to potential customers. 1) I received an email stating I needed to download an app and login, I didn't receive my login until I had my video call even though it said to do that in advance of the call. 2) The availability for calls is limited unless you want to have it a month or two from now. It wasn't a huge deal for me, so I am still happy. Lastly, the video call was simple. Aaron was a great help in completing my impressions. Was hoping he would sing or something during the 4 minutes of holding the mold for the impressions in my mouth, but that is okay that he didn't.

Negative experience: DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I cancelled my order back in April less than 24 hours after placing it and they still sent me an impressions kit. I emailed several times to get a refund and James Myles kept emailing me back and forth offering me deals and discounts even though I kept saying no. I disputed it to my credit card company because I was scared of not receiving my $845 back. They told me to drop the dispute and they would refund me but at this point I didn’t trust them. Then my credit card company closed the case and charged me the $845 because they said they sent me an impressions kit (wort $59.99 not $845) that AlignerCO didn’t get back. I retuned that package without a label and wrote Return to Sender but UPS must’ve lost it. That’s fine, I will take accountability for that. I have re-opened the case and showed them all the emails from James Myles. I emailed him yesterday to let him know I reopened the case because them wanting to keep $845 when I cancelled in less than 24 hours is a robbery specially when I never went through with any treatments. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Stay away. Go to a real orthodontist! Yes it’s more expensive but they let you give payments and it is actually legit, unlike this company.

When I reached out for help, all they told me was to restart the treatment from the beginning. There was no real resolution or personalized care, just generic advice over Zoom. The fact that everything is done virtually makes it incredibly easy for serious mistakes to happen — and that’s exactly what happened to me. My teeth are now worse than before I started. This treatment might work for some people, but if you run into any issues, don’t expect proper support or accountability. Honestly, you’re better off going to a real orthodontist in person. These virtual aligners can absolutely ruin your teeth if something goes wrong, and no one will take real responsibility for it.

Though virutal, Alan was able to instruct me on making my own impression plates, commented on how I was perfoming each step, and also evaluated the results of my work. Negative experience: The initial set up for creating molds was an issue. Every time I submitted photos I was informed that they were not good enough. Eventually had to buy several mold kits to re-redo. I finally just mailed them in and they were accepted. Moving forward, less than halfway through the process, the retainers no longer fit. After submitting several pictures and videos of the improper aligners I was told I would need to pay $995 to start the process over. My advice is find a local aligner company that you can see in person.

I work in community mental health so am orthodontist is too rich for my bank account. I compared clear aligner providers and Alignerco fit the bill. I was worried until I found tiktok reviews which helped me to feel at ease with my decision. My video session with Alan Shaw was exceptionally supportive and he remained patient even though the webcam on my work PC continued to turn itself off, necessitating continual restarts of my video. His explanations were thorough and clear and he was kind and respectful throughout the session. The impression trays made me wish for a bigger mouth. I was thankful I had lip balm on hand to aid in the stretching of my mouth around the trays. Positive experience: Update: So they're not so great after all. It's almost the end of May and they are just now getting my aligners made. They held on to my impressions for a whole month before letting me know they received them. Then I get an email after I approved all of the aligners and outcomes saying the first set I get will be to make sure they fit because my impressions were compromised. That would've been nice to know after being told I did them correctly. It'll be over 3 months of waiting once I finally get my first set. Luckily my teeth aren't bad, so I'm not in dire need of them, but I'll update again once I get them if I need to. AlignerCo has been a great company so far. The payment options were great. I had some trouble doing my first impression on my own, but Harry did a great job guiding me through each step once we did the Zoom call. I had to wait a month for the Zoom call, because they were completely booked up, but other than that the process has been smooth.

Working with my SMILE Specialist, Alan Shaw, I received the assistance I needed to ensure I did not need to purchase an additional impression kit or delay my progression toward receiving my aligners. In addition, Alan reviewed what I had ordered to ensure I purchased what I had intended and he answered my questions providing clarification and additional information.
