Negative experience: Today I went to this place with an appointment at 10:00 am and I arrived at 10:01 am. I showed up and it was 11:25 am and they still hadn't seen me. I had to stop working to go and waste my time... I really don't recommend it. No lo recomiendo perdí una hora y media solo en espera y llegaban cliente y lo atendieron de una vez …. Si pudiera darle un 0 lo aria !!!

Fantastic experience: I visited the Kearny Abra Dental recently, and I left feeling really satisfied. I had three appointment that day. First was for regular cleaning and checkup, second was for filling replacement, and the third appointment was for orthodontic work. The receptionist was nice and very coherent in guiding me on what I needed to do with “paper work”. The dental hygienist was nice and did a thorough job with cleaning my teeth. She even used manual dental scraper at the end for touch ups. I was, however, just a little disappointed when I didn’t get my teeth polished, but I can live. I went to get my fillings done by Dr. Saba Pilehvar, and I’ve never been happier with any dental work I’ve had in the past. I’ve had problems with my fillings for over 10 years and no dentist had addressed nor been confident in working to replace them. She did it with such confidence. Her and her dental assistant, Xiomara, were so methodical and professional with the whole procedure. It went so smoothly, and I appreciate that Dr. Saba took the time to ask me if I felt comfortable with the new fillings. I used to feel a sharp sensation whenever I drink or eat something cold, but now, I don’t get that. I want to emphasize the professionalism those two displayed that day. It may have been another day for them, but that diligent work really did change my everyday concern with those fillings. I didn’t catch the name of the receptionist upstairs for the orthodontic area, but she was amazing. All questions I had were answered, and she was very informative. When it came to put my braces on, and I’m sorry that I forgot to get the names of the two dentists, they were great, too! It went so well. Looking forward to seeing how they’ll straighten out my teeth. It’s a long review, but their professionalism deserves some recognition. RECOMMEND 10/10.

Negative experience: My appointment was at 10 am. I arrived on time and waited 1 and half later and still not seen. Two hours later still not seen, no explanation, no apologies and everyone that came after me that didn’t look like me was getting seen. Not a black friendly establishment and makes no sense why I was getting seen two hours later. Go where your business is appreciated and welcomed not where they expect you to fit in. Terrible experience. My first time there, saw a guy that was going thru the same issue and now I know how he felt that day.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming here for a while and the staff is always so kind to me. They are adapting to modern day technology to make things quick and efficient while still remaining helpful to patients during the check in process. The dentist are very professional and always make sure they know what they are doing. I come here for all my needs and they make time for me even on busy days which I am thankful for. The front desk staff are always working hard and today loreliz greeted me with a smile even when it got chaotic. She was helping a lot of people on the tablets and was still able to remain calm and polite with everyone. She was knowledgeable and gave me the correct information for everything. This is what true customer service looks like especially when it gets hard on a crazy Saturday morning. I will keep coming back here and I highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I went to Abra Dental on Thursday and had a great experience. I called a few days prior because I was having some pain. I was recommended a dental cleaning. The staff was amazing, from the girls Lynda, Loreliz, and Lillian at reception to the dentists. Everyone was friendly and made me feel comfortable. I have had bad experiences at other places, so I was very anxious. Lucky, everyone helped me feel at ease. I booked my next appointment for this Friday. Thank you for taking such great care of me on my last visit. Abra Dental also provides affordable pricing. I called other offices in the Hudson County area, and I was quoted triple the price for a standard cleaning.

Fantastic experience: I honestly love Abra Dental! The receptionists are always so kind and welcoming. Big shout-out to Ernesto! I was having some insurance issues when I was checking in, and he was so kind and patient while walking me through everything. He explained it all clearly and made what could’ve been a stressful situation super easy. Really appreciated his kindness and positive attitude on this rainy day. The rest of my visit was just as smooth — X-rays, check-up, and cleaning all went great. Great experience overall!

Negative experience: One hour in the waiting area, 30 minutes plus waiting after anesthesia, and still waiting for the dentist, I may have to get another anesthesia shot and wait a little bit longer, I got here at 9:55 am and now is 11:34 am and still waiting

Fantastic experience: I have to say this is the best experience I had with a dentist, very patient, explain to me everything from A to Z, I was there with my 7 month old baby and they were really patient and playful with her while I was being treated to gladys, Nicole, the hygienist and the doctor, you are awesome. This is how you supposed to feel with your health care providers.. I would give them 1000 stars if possible.

She is a wonderful dentist, honest and sincere and has always been so patient with not just me, but my entire family. My hubby and kids all go there. They have a wonderful team. Negative experience: Front receptionist leaves a lot to be desired for the last two visits, they do not acknowledge you and have you stand there for a couple of minutes and then ask you to check in on the kiosk. How about placing a sign above the kiosk for checking in to avoid talking to the receptionist. Female orthodontist was rude as well. Didn’t acknowledge the parent (greeting) just jumped straight into my child’s mouth. But acknowledged the next patient. Customer service is key in any industry when dealing with people. Do better!

Negative experience: If you’re planning to visit Abra Dental in Kearny, be prepared to wait — and wait a lot. Their priority seems to be ensuring they get insurance clearance before attending to patients. I’ve never experienced this kind of process elsewhere in the United States. Instead of valuing patients’ time, they make you sit until the insurance is fully cleared.

Fantastic experience: This review is solely for Keta who does cleanings and Nicole who does X-rays on the first floor. In an environment where you feel as though you are apart of quantity and not quality they made time to make me feel like a person. Nicole and I bonded about this being our second time having braces she helped me with knowledge about cleaning them and she just took the time to be relatable. Keta made me feel like it was my mother doing my cleaning and her and I look like we are the same age. She greeted me with such warmth. She treated me with such love, and she helped me with a problem that I had been having. She was the most gentle person that I have ever had clean my teeth from the smile on her face to the love and her voice I felt like I was an amazing hands. I am in the healthcare and the customer service business as well. Today was my day off and they exuded energy and vibes that I try to give to my patients as well. Thank you guys for making my day.

Negative experience: Had an appointment scheduled on a Monday. They called me Saturday to confirm my appointment and I missed their call. I called them back, and they didn't answer my call, so I left a message confirming my appointment. So I go in on Monday for my appointment and they said they canceled it because I didn't confirm. I guess they don't listen to their messages? Also, what place in this day and age doesn't also send you a text or email to confirm your appointment? However, I wasn't too upset this time because it was my fault that I didn't pick up their initial call. On Monday, they tell me to come in the next day, Tuesday, at 11am for my appointment. Tuesday morning they call me and say they need to cancel my appointment. I tell them that I really need to get this done this week, since I go back to college next week and I'm only home for spring break. They say okay, we can squeeze you in at 11:30. So I go there at 11:30, wait there for around 30 minutes, and then all of a sudden they say sorry, we can't fulfill your appointment. So why did you waste my time and tell me to come in at 11:30? I took 2 day off of work for this 1 appointment, Monday and Tuesday, and I couldn't even get what I needed done. Now I'm going to have to go through the insurance approval process all over again. It's a shame because their dentists and hygienists are really good. The front desk people were nice, just seem to be lacking communication/organization. Hopefully they can fix this soon.

Starting at the front desk. Thank you Caroline and the front desk staff for making sure my insurance covered my treatment plan and checking me in.To Dr. Jenn who made me feel comfortable and explained the treatment plan to me step by step, amazing job. To the X-Ray technician Jessica who made me feel comfortable when taking my X-rays. To the hygienist Esme ,who did my cleaning thank you for making sure that each of my tooth were cleaned well and explaining to me the importance of flossing and brushing.
