Fantastic experience: I’ve had a total of about four visits at Sky Dental, and let me tell you, this the best dental experience I’ve ever had! The office it’s beautiful, and the staff is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. They make sure to go through everything from explaining the procedures to making sure that you are not hit with any surprise fees. Fantastic experience: I found Sky Dental after experiencing a broken tooth from an old filling failing. Sky Dental got me in for an emergency appointment very fast and did the filling on the spot. Following that, I went in for a full cleaning and check up, and I was impressed with how thoroughly they examined me and how well they explained everything to me. While past dentists had done a good job of this for me, I feel that Sky took it to a whole new level. Everything I needed was addressed quickly with not even five minutes waiting time on either visit, the staff were not just with me but there for me every step of the way, even though I have no issues with dentists or oral care trauma. They were relentlessly kind, caring, and positive, and it's a breath of fresh air walking in to see them every time. This is how all of healthcare should be. I couldn't be happier with something most people dread.

Fantastic experience: As always, great service. My one gripe, however, is that for those customers that have been going to you for years and have spent thousands of dollars on dental work, you would be more understanding and lenient if they were to show up late and forego the late charge.

Negative experience: A deeply disappointing experience – beware before booking here I am extremely disappointed with the unprofessional and downright hostile customer service I received at this dental office. I booked my appointment six months in advance (which they suggested when I had my last appointment there), and they followed up recently to confirm on email. I chose to ignore it as on the email it was clearly mentioned that I had to respond to the email to confirm the appointment. I also had a conflict and wouldn’t be able to make the appointment. Today, I received a call from their office. When I picked up, they claimed that by merely answering the phone, my appointment was now reconfirmed — and to cancel it would incur a $100 fee. This arbitrary and rigid policy is not only baffling but completely devoid of any empathy or understanding. Here’s the worst part — I will have to miss my daughter’s first day of preschool in order to make it to the appointment so I don’t incur the $100 cancellation fee. A once-in-a-lifetime milestone I’ve looked forward to for years, all because of a dental office that values bureaucracy over basic human decency. It would have been better if I never picked up that phone call from them because then they would have cancelled it automatically. If you’re considering becoming a patient here, my advice is simple: Think twice. Or better yet, don’t. There are many practices in town that treat their patients like people, not walking revenue streams. I will be taking my business — and my family’s — elsewhere.

Every staff member is so warm and welcoming - you get the sense that everyone truly enjoys working there and wants to make sure you are well taken care of. I appreciate all of the comfort options offered, such as watching Netflix during your cleaning, so my visit is as enjoyable as possible. I also love that they offer to clean my retainers for free during my visit! I truly have no complaints!

Every single person was personable and kind. Antonella, Chris, and Dr. Puzio were the amazing dental team for me today and they delivered excellent patient care. Every person took their time with me - I never felt rushed, and they attended to my questions with patience, all while offering fantastic vibes and thorough work. I also got to watch Matilda while my teeth were being cleaned :) When I asked about a particular procedure, the team gave an honest assessment about it being unnecessary, putting patient care first and saving me money! I even got my retainers cleaned for free. After it was all finished, my teeth (and gums!!) looked and felt great, and so did I. I don’t write reviews often but had to for this place. I genuinely had fun at the dentist and look forward to coming back in 6 months!

Fantastic experience: From the moment I walked into the sun-filled offices of Sky Dental on a very chilly November morning, I knew that this was someplace special for a dental office: The office is beautiful and looks out onto the historic Trinity Church. But it is the people who work here, each and every one of them, that make it really special; The front desk staff are so welcoming, a make an effort to really make you feel at home. I had a full visit --- a dental cleaning with Colleen, who is the best dental hygienist I have ever seen in my 64 years. Colleen has got the NYU creds, the incredible skill, the knowledge of the latest technologies, but that is not what makes her extraordinary --- it is her empathy. I have extremely sensitive gums, from a history of periodontal disease and three "deep cleanings." She got out some tartar that was a bit like concrete, and I held my breath and let her do it. She is that good. My gums have never felt this clean. Her assistant, Krupal, was also a pro, and so very kind. On the first visit, there is a complete round of x-rays and scanning, with technology that made me realize my former dentist has been living a 1950's practice. Everyone at Sky works as a team, and Colleen offered the dentist, Dr. Puzio, her opinion that I should have a cleaning three times a year. (I have heard this before and will do it now.) Dr. Puzio went over what the x-rays and scans revealed and -- long story short -- I am scheduled for a root canal in early January. That I could come out of the Sky Dental office with a smile on my face after hearing that news is some kinda miracle. (The very chic goodie travel bag in pink, which happens to be my color, did not hurt. :)) A lot of thought and care has gone into every detail, to my mind, to change what a visit to the dentist can be. And the place is entirely reasonable on costs. This is not a good thing; it's a great thing. A PS: My overall opinion of Sky Dental has changed— the initial assessment showed the need for a root canal. Their total cost, with crown, was going to be $7,500 for just one tooth. The initial assessment and cleaning was reasonable. But it make sense— something has got to be keeping their tony offices, little water bottles, and cute little travel kits afloat. Long story short, I am now on Medicaid, which, SURPRISE!!!— the chic staff at Sky does not take. But I write to sing the praises of Shay, the person at the front desk who treated me with extraordinary kindness, and got me my doctor referral. She is a listener, and I was badly in need. She is a joy, and will be wherever she lands. That is what happens with the kind people.

Fantastic experience: Clean facility, super professional staff. They use a lot of advanced tech in the office and are up to date with the latest as well as bewt dental treatments. They were able to catch a few dental issues I had and resolve them pretty quickly. The building and office are also very nice. I am glad to find a new dentist office that cares about the long term health of their patient's teeth.

Fantastic experience: I have so much anxiety about going to the dentist and haven’t been for some time. But Alas I had to face my fears and get to a dentist. I searched and searched to find a place that would understand my fear, a place where I would feel comfortable and the staff would be patient and gentle. I found that place in Sky Dental!!! I was so nervous, but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming front desk staff. One kind person that checked me in was very encouraging when I mentioned my anxiety, they assured me that I would be well taken care of. It definitely relaxed me a little and the beautiful waiting helped, although I didn’t sit more than 5 minutes before I was called in. The dental assistant was very kind, she explained everything that would take place during the visit and assured me I was in good hands, and I truly appreciated that. Danny the Hygienist and Dr. Puzio were both wonderful – they made feel comfortable and well taken care of. I’m so glad I found Sky Dental; I can’t believe I’m actually looking forward to my next dental visit!! Wonderful, Kind Professional Staff in a beautiful space that takes the fear out of going to the dentist!! Love It!!

Fantastic experience: Just wanted to say, Dr. Puzio is literally the only dentist I would ever let touch my teeth. As someone who is also in healthcare, I fully understand that not all healthcare providers are created equal and she is above and beyond an exceptional clinician. She is smart, personable, sharp, is detail-oriented, and has excellent hand skills- all of which I want in my dentist. My fillings look and feel great, and I forget I even needed them in the first place. Dr. Puzio is the BEST, you won’t regret becoming her patient!

Negative experience: TLDR: Unethical and money hungry practice, they recommended aggressive and unnecessary procedures (as someone who’s never had any dental issues). I got a second opinion and when I kindly refused their proposed treatment plan for 13 fillings (which was outrageous), they called me to tell me I couldn’t come back as a patient because I refused their treatment plan. I would’ve still come here for the cleanings I just don’t trust their doctors. I have never ever had any dental issues, but I went to them for a cleaning/check up and they took x rays, Dr Puzio didn’t spend more than 10 seconds looking at my teeth (didn’t even poke them to see if they were sticky or anything) and just based on the x ray she recommended 13 fillings “ASAP” (costing about $8,000 which would’ve been partly covered by my insurance) I got a second opinion from my dentist in FL, and she told me she wouldn’t do 13 fillings not even if they put a gun to her head. She showed me these were only incipient cavities, not anywhere near the enamel, and they had not changed size in 20 years (based on my old x rays). As long as we kept monitoring that they didn’t grow that would be ok. I came back to sky dental a few months later for a cleaning (Christina had done a great job with the cleaning so I wanted to come back for that), saw Dr Newman (I’d asked for a different doctor this time) and when he asked about the fillings I told him about the second opinion, he seemed to think it made sense given my history and old x rays I told him about. Next day I get a call from their office telling me that unless I follow their proposed treatment plan of 13 fillings, then I can’t come back anymore. Not even for a cleaning. Clearly, this was all a money making ploy to overcharge insurance and patients and prescribe unnecessary treatments that are not needed.

Warm welcome, great energy for an early friday morning, nice amenities, good explanations of what was going to happen and what I should look out for! Who knew I would look forward to my next dental cleaning in 6 months? Thank you for the professionalism and care! I am back again for my 6 month cleaning. I love the staff, I made improvements on flossing and they gave me guidance on night guards needs for grinding teeth at night. I’ve been coming here for years, and have seen several dentists & hygienists — all of them have been communicative and thorough. I even had to contact them recently for an emergency appointment, and they got me right in and addressed the issue. I’ve never had a bad experience here — only positive things to say!

Fantastic experience: Yesterday was my first visit, and I couldn't recommend it more. The dentist even let me know she is willing to contact my previous provider who gave me trouble when I requested transferring my Invisalign case. I had dental-anxiety because I put off going and knew there would be a couple issues, but everyone was genuinely kind and motivated me by letting me know everything is fixable. It is visible that they care about patient comfort and confidence, professionalism, and efficiency. I come back on Tuesday (lol) and am feeling at ease about returning. Side note: it also feels great to support a woman-owned practice, as this is still more rare than you would think.

Fantastic experience: I've had a really great experience here. I had not been to the dentist in many years and had tons of anxiety about going. Finally I convinced myself to go and I ended up seeing Dr. Puzio. She is extremely friendly and professional. I was expecting to be guilted for not having gone for so long but she didn't guilt me at all. She fixed all of my issues and addressed any concerns I had. I am now even going to her for invisalign and she has made the process very easy. I am no longer very anxious to go in. The rest of the staff is also very nice. The office is extremely clean and high tech. Wait times are very low.

I came from another office where they said to watch & wait, but Dr. Puzio suggested we do the filling and the cavity turned out to be much bigger than the X-rays showed. So glad I went to her. Positive experience: The care is good, but they seem to add extras that aren’t necessary, and my dental plan doesn’t cover the extras. Cleanings are always more expensive than what my plan covers. With procedures like fillings, they explained the possible cost and asked me to sign a document on an iPad while I sat in the chair about to have the work done. I didn’t find out the final bill until a few weeks later, after my insurance reviewed the paperwork.

Negative experience: Editing my review after a few negative experiences here: Initially chose this practice due to the convenience of the location and the good reviews. My first impressions were that the desk staff was kind and communicative, and that the hygienists/dentists were capable. However, after a multiple bad experiences (first one with a rough dental hygienist during a cleaning, and subsequently a bad filling that resulted in multiple jagged ridges around my teeth and an uneven bite), I am hesitant to recommend this practice to others. Giving two stars as the front desk staff is well organized and transparent. Overall, I do think that their reviews are inflated (possibly by their gift of a free item when you leave a review).

Fantastic experience: It was my first time at Sky Dental but it won’t be my last. Everyone in the office is welcoming and friendly. I love that I did not have to wait too long to be called and begin my appointment. I love how the dental hygienist and the dentist explained what they found after looking at my teeth and recommended me on next steps (but did not pressure me to do anything I did not want to do). I also love how non-judgmental they were when I informed them on how long it has been since I have seen a dentist. All around, an amazing experience!!

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend! - During the booking process, the receptionist clearly explained insurance and what their protocol is regarding payment. I went into the appointment with a clear idea of associated costs and upon checkout, the costs were accurate to what I had been told. - Every one who met with me introduced themselves and walked me through what they were going to do before they did it. - Upon checkout, I had to book a followup service and before booking it, the receptionist showed me what the cost of the service would be, what insurance would cover, and what I would be responsible for, and then she asked if I was comfortable with that and wanted to go ahead with booking. All of these things sound basic, but their team is very intentional about communication and after having had shady dentists in the past, it is incredibly appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first appointment at Sky Dental for a long overdue cleaning and exam. I hate going to the dentist and was feeling anxious about being judged for how bad I had let my dental health get, which kept leading to me putting off going to the dentist for so long. Sky Dental is on the other side of Manhattan from me, but I made my appointment here because the reviews online made it seem like this was a practice that would help to ease my anxiety. I am so, so glad I scheduled my appointment here. The front desk staff were all very friendly and Dr. Puzio and Ines were both so kind and put me right at ease. Dr. Puzio made sure that I was as comfortable as can be throughout my cleaning and did a fantastic job- my mouth truly feels like new! I loved how Dr. Puzio took the time to explain what she was doing at each step and why and then walked me through a treatment plan for moving forward. Never once did I feel judged. I needed a filling and they were able to get me in first thing the next day which was great as well! I don't think I'll ever love going to the dentist, but I definitely feel a lot less anxious about coming back!

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Sky Dental by a coworker and I loved my first experience. I had a friendly greeting, water bottle, and my appointment time was honored. They took x-rays and a digital scan of my teeth as part of the routine cleaning (no additional cost). They were very attentive, warned me of any potential concerns down the road, and thorough. They will clean your retainers for you if you bring them in. They also send you off with a goodie bag (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, toothbrush cover). Will be back in 6 months!

Fantastic experience: I had a regular cleaning appointment with Dr. NEYSHA PATEL and the experience was really good. First they had a X-ray done and checked the health of all my teeth and gums thoroughly and recommended certain procedures to maintain my dental health and hygiene up-to the mark. The cleaning process was also very smooth and quick. The end results were satisfying. I would recommended Sky Dental for all your dental issues.

Negative experience: They only have one store, and I recommend choosing a more professional option on the Upper Side. 1. The issues with this store are apparent from its scale. 2. Additionally, their $100 fee for lateness or no-shows feels forced and questionable, such as charging for being 15 minutes late. I remember my first visit took 30 minutes just for an X-ray, yet they can’t wait even 15 minutes. Otherwise, they threaten to damage your credit record. I paid $375 for a cleaning there, whereas I only need $150 on the Upper East Side. On top of that, their proposed treatment plan totaled $2,800. 3. Besides the price, The cleaning - the services was nothing special. I strongly recommend blocking these non-chain stores, as they lack other sources of income.

Negative experience: I am giving them 2 stars rather than just 1 because I have had good experiences in the past, however, my last couple visits have not been good. My partner and I started going here because of their commitment to billing transparency. This was true…until it wasn’t. On my last visit I was clearly quoted one amount and the later slapped with a bill for more. When I asked about it, they had the audacity to shift the blame to me, stating that they base their quotes on limited information from the insurance company…but it’s the policy I chose, so I should have known they were incorrect. What I now know is that they cannot be trusted to provide accurate quotes. Beyond that, my last visit was also uncomfortable and awkward. Had this been my first visit, I never would have returned (and will not be returning). I’m sad to see this place go downhill and I hope they are able to make improvements.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my first visit to Sky Dental for a cleaning and checkup, and it was a great experience. Dr. Newman Ross was incredibly kind and calming, which made a big difference since I was quite nervous. The cleaning itself was much less painful than I had expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The clinic is spotless and has a very modern feel. The stunning view of Trinity Church definitely adds to the overall calming atmosphere. Fantastic experience: I have been looking for a good dentist for my two kids and after several bad experiences with other dental offices, I finally did an extensive search and found Sky Dental. Needing some work done myself, I decided to check it out first, and boy was I amazingly surprised. From the first moment that I called them, they were professional, courteous and polite. Upon showing up for my appointment, they were kind and efficient. I was greeted quickly, waited shortly in the waiting room and quickly taken into the dentist exam room. But I knew from the first moment I entered their office, this was a very well run office and everything was moving like clockwork, which is a far cry from the other dental offices that I had visited. The dentist saw me shortly after the assistant took some X-rays, and he was very kind, patient and thorough in explaining all my options and I really appreciated that. We figured out the best course of action for me and scheduled the follow up visits quickly and efficiently at the front desk. My children will come in a few weeks for their first cleaning and checkups, and I couldn't be more excited for them. Such a great experience so far, and I know it will be the same for them. My only regret is not having found this place sooner!!

Fantastic experience: After researching several dental clinics in the area I decided to go with Sky Dental because their website reflected an attention to detail of a high quality service provider. And that is what I experienced in my first visit which was a general cleaning. The appointment was on time, thorough, and efficient. I also appreciated that the hygienist applied Vaseline on my lips during the cleaning to mitigate against chapped lips in winter.

The team here is really first class - especially Dr. Newman who has been my dentist this entire time.
