Fantastic experience: Vaun very professionals The whole staff is great I love this place since 11 years ago

Fantastic experience: We had never found a dental office with such kind people. The dental assistant who took care of my daughter is the best we’ve ever had anywhere. Paulette — although the whole staff is amazing — she’s something else. She is incredibly sweet, professional and explained everything about my daughter’s dental health, what causes it, and how to treat it. She guided us in so many ways that it really made us say “wow.” In other places, they just do what they have to do, take your money, and send you on your way — but not Paulette. The doctor was also very sweet. My daughter left very happy, and I was even happier. But heads up: we want Paulette every time! LOL. Everything clean, nice and very organize.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carvalho and his assistant, Kailey, were not only compassionate and patient with our special needs daughter it is clear they are both competent, experts in their fields. Our daughter needs to trust the provider and Dr. Carvalho took the time needed to build that trust. My husband, my 4 children and I trust Normandy Lake Dentistry with all our dental needs. If you are in the Starke, Jacksonville, or surrounding areas, I highly recommend that you also trust Normandy Lake Dentistry!

Fantastic experience: Normandy Dentistry has been a great place to get dental care. Staff is very friendly and professional! Vadym provided excellent care and professionalism both times I had a cleaning appointment. Exam rooms are set up as travel destinations which provides a relaxing environment for patients. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: If you go to a medical doctor and he finds a problem he may take you to a hospital. They all take care of you and your medical problem. Later you receive a bill, mabe large but you are allowed to pay on it. Your relation ship with your doctor stays good while you pay the bill along with your insurance. If you go to a dentist they won't even handle your dental problem even if an emergency unless you pay in advance extremely high bills , which they suggest you get financing. Your dental infection can develop into severe health problem. That's my experience twice with Normondy dentistry. They only care about your money now, not your health!!

Fantastic experience: 10/10 recommend this dental practice! It is so clean, the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, and the dentist that I seen was so kind. I have bad dental anxiety and they did everything they could to make it a positive experience!

Negative experience: They have overcharged me ahead of my appointment and when I get my insurance statement I have to wait to get my money back. The fragrance they use in the office is so overpowering and toxic . I get a migraine headache sitting in that smell in the Lobby. They are putting their workers at risk of health issues with those toxic chemicals and scents they use .

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental clinic here in Jax! I’ve been to different dental clinic but this is the best, that’s why I am writing this review. Staff are very friendly and explain to me very well the procedures and charges. Vadyn is my dental hygienist. He is exceptional. Anita my treatment coordinator did her job very well and I am happy. This will be my dental clinic going forward

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist in years bc of just anxiety. I was having problems with my teeth so I made myself go and the team hear made me feel so welcome and comfy! Took all my stress out from the time I stepped in the office until they walked me out the front door. I really appreciate your team here. I wish I could name drop the team that I seen but my memory isn’t too great. Thank you everyone there!

Update 5/12/2025 Chipped my tooth 5/2 after passing out and face planting on concrete. Dr. Nicholas Wallace and the entire staff are true professionals. They fixed my tooth without causing me any pain. Love them all. May 23, 2025 Returned for cleaning. Vadyn did an excellent job.❤️☮️

Negative experience: Not a very honest place. I signed up for a "savings plan" which was supposed to be for only 3 months. I was never told I had to call and cancel the plan after 3 months. Why even offer this plan and tell clients this if you're going to continue to charge them well after the 3 months? I just called to cancel and they refused to give me a refund for months worth of payments deducted from my account and I haven't even been seen since November. Not good business at all. Be more upfront and honest with your clients and retrain your staff on being 100% honest so you don't have these issues moving forward. It's really unfair.

Fantastic experience: I got my wisdom tooth extracted today and I was so scared. So they were patient with me and very nice about my unmanaged oral hygiene.

Fantastic experience: My experience at Normandy Lake Dentistry was positive. The location is welcoming and has a relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and polite. My Dr. and her assistant Michaella made sure I was informed and comfortable each step. Dr. Diaz is simply amazing. Today I also learned that Normandy Dentistry has self pay options for seniors, adults and children that are less expensive than the option I would have if I had to buy cobra coverage for my uncovered children. How amazing is that? and what a dedication to the community! If you are in the Jacksonville, Middleburg, Stark or Lake Butler area. I choose Normandy Lake for mine and my families Oral care and Dental Higene needs. You will surely leave with a smile

Fantastic experience: I had anxiety about coming to the dentist but they made my experience a pleasant one even with getting an extraction(2 teeth). The doctor and the assistant were very attentive and patient with me throughout the entire process. This made me have a better outlook when going to the dentist. Dr Chen and his Kayleigh were great!

Negative experience: awful! I've called 3 times now for my refund for my x-rays that the dentist said he was not charging me for, and still nothing. This was back in January. The dentist gave me maybe 1 minute of his time. He was not interested in helping me. My crowns are over 30 years old, and need to be replaced. I'm sure he knows that the insurance only covers so much, so why bother helping me. I left in tears.

Fantastic experience: First and foremost, the entire staff is there to take care of you with you, the patient, being their utmost concern. As a patient, over 15 + years, nothing has changed, with the exception of staff members. Rest assured, your dental care is always in good hands. Thanks to Shawna and the entire staff.

Negative experience: This place doesn’t even care if you have a dental emergency or anything if you have a balance due to their negligence of not verifying whether your insurance was still covered or not. Which is how I ended up with a balance in the first place because they chose not to check if I was still in network despite my insurance saying I was when I checked MULTIPLE times. I wouldn’t recommend this place due to those two factors alone.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere as much as a dental office can be :) Always friendly, flexible hours(late Tuesdays and Thursdays), and the doctors actually listen to their patients when coming up with a treatment plan. They are the only dental office that doesn't make my skin crawl or my anxiety take over...I will be their patient as long as they are here! Vadyn is the man, very personable and extremely pleasant.

Fantastic experience: I came in for my first exam after YEARS of not seeing a dentist. Thankfully, I only needed some fillings but let me tell you I was nervous about that numbing shot. Dr. Nguyen and Ciara made the process literally PAINLESS. I was in and out of the office in under an hour. I couldn’t have any complaints. I’m telling you, this is the best dentist I’ve been to ever. PS. The bourbon pecan coffee in the lobby was the best!

Negative experience: Horrible communications and customer service! First appointment I made I showed up and they said they had me down for the wrong procedure and had to reschedule. Second time I showed up they did my x-rays and recommended a deep cleaning and schedule that appointment. I called to tell them that I could not afford the thousand dollar deep cleaning and could I come in for just a regular cleaning and cavity They agreed we made that appointment. I show up from my appointment and nothing was changed from the deep cleaning to the regular cleaning even though I had called one hour before and confirmed. I’m at my appointment and they refuse to service me because I was not getting the deep cleaning trying to speak to a manager And she pretty much said go find another dentist.

Fantastic experience: Wow. Vadym was great! He’s funny. Don’t think I’ve ever laughed at the dentist before. I am normally so uncomfortable as I really just do not like the dentist. But Vadym was informative and talked me through the entire process of my cleaning. I’m impressed with the staff at this office as whole, coming from another dentist that I didn’t care for much. The way the financial coordinator Anita came by and explained my insurance and payments she was awesome as well! It’s unfortunate that I wasted my insurance covered X-ray visit at another office, I knew that might cause me an issue. but Anita really took her time and broke down all of the out of pocket costs for me she even offered to print me an itemized receipt so I could see everything. And the other black girl with the short hair who made my other appointments I hate I didn’t get her name she was awesome as well I don’t think I’ve met such nice people since I moved to Jacksonville actually. Thanks a lot !!

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist has always been an anxious moment for me. This is the first time in years that I felt very relaxed, the staff was incredible. The assistant even gave me a hug when I got there making me feel at ease. I can say that they put the patients first and they are all about what is most important.
