Fantastic experience: So, Let me start by saying that Dr. Tawfik is probably the best extraction dentist I have EVER seen. I had 3 molars removed, 2 that had to be broken to be removed, and barely felt any pain. He isbthe go to dental surgeon in the Triangle area. And, today, I had a deep cleaning done in office. It was masterful. No pain, no issues, no problems. I usually HATE the dental office, but everyone at this location is so helpful, outgoing and definitely kniw their stuff. If I could give them 10 or 15 stars, I would.

Fantastic experience: I was very apprehensive to go to this location for my procedure, not knowing the staff or the area. Arrived and greeted with a warm smile. All of the staff were professional and friendly. I felt welcomed. Dr. Jorgeson (not sure spelling). Very friendly, engaging and patient. My nerves were everywhere . She explained each step and even complimented me holding it together. Hands down Riccobene Associates Family Dentristry is the best in my . Thank you all for making this experience less stressful.

Negative experience: I had a scheduled appointment today, which was canceled even though I showed up. I was told it was because I didn't confirm 24 hours ahead of time. I believe that if I have an appointment, I'm coming unless I tell you otherwise. It doesn't make sense that I have to call you back just to say I'm still showing up. My job keeps me busy, and I don't have time to check voicemails and call people back for confirmations. Plus, your voicemail didn't even say my appointment would be canceled if I didn't call. I've been a client here for two years, and I've often felt like just another number. This cancellation is the final straw. I find this whole situation unacceptable, and it shows a lack of care for your clients. I will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going here since 2021 and have had nothing but great experiences. Dr. Chen, Dr. Prince, and the rest of the staff are so kind. I had to get a root canal with Dr. Chen and she explained everything thoroughly. Her and her assistant kept checking on me throughout the procedure to make sure I was ok. Dr. Prince did my fillings and crown. She also continued to check if I was doing ok and let me know what to expect as she was going. Highly recommend this office!

Negative experience: Urgent warning: All dental patients wanting sedation: verify that the dental office has a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) present in the treatment room for any dental procedure requiring sedation. A dental patient died from over-sedation at Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in Garner NC in 2021. And do not undergo sedation unless absolutely necessary! Negative experience: Bad experience today. Got there they called back the wrong person should have been me Nicole she brought back another Nicole. Got in the chair and a dental assistant polished my teeth , then the hygienist came in and did the tartar scraping . Then the dentist came in the middle of that to check my teeth. I felt extremely rushed. The normal process I’m used to is hygienist scraping tartar off then polish then doctor coming in.

Negative experience: After the last 2 visits, I'll be finding a new dentist, I've been here for years. Maybe they are getting too big, you never see the same people. It takes months to get a cleaning appointment, but only days for a filling. One incident that was most disturbing was being told my son's wisdom teeth needed pulled. I didn't opt for the consultation so I could talk to his orthodontist first. Turns out it was his molars. His wisdom teeth are barely there he was 13 at the time. Maybe good for other people, but today, with another incident and records not being accurate, that was enough for me to start looking for a new dentist. After trying to talk to administration about the issue, there was really no concern that it wasn't noted that the dentist filled a different tooth then was told at the cleaning because according to her it wouldn't make a difference with my insurance. However, we will never know since no one even knows what tooth they actually filled. Maybe it wouldn't, but it's the point a medical practice should have notes on all that's happened, and that doesn't sit right with me. To be clear, this in no way reflects the orthodontist or pediatric dentists downstairs. The orthodontist has done amazing work on my son's teeth. My kids were also seen at the pediatric dentist and never any problems.

Fantastic experience: My cleaning appointment today went so well. Beth does an awesome job making you feel comfortable and lets you know everything she is going to do ahead of time. She is very friendly, efficient and before you know it your cleaning is over. I highly recommend Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry in Garner for all your dental needs. She is so calming during exams and other more intense procedures like fillings and crown work. All the folks I come in contact at the Riccobene HWY 42 office are so professional and friendly. Its ALMOST. I Said almost fun to go for my appointment

Fantastic experience: Dental hygienist, Taylor, was awesome! My son have autism, and she was able to keep him calm and happy throughout his appointment. She was very kind and compassionate and appears to be a true expert at what she does. I highly recommend Taylor for any kids, especially those with special needs.

Fantastic experience: I always have a good experience at the Garner Riccobene office. The check-in is always quick and the staff is friendly and efficient. The dentists and hygienists are thorough and don’t try to “upsell” you on unnecessary work. Including X-rays, I was in and out in 30 minutes for my last six month checkup. Checking out is just as quick and efficient. Five star service.

Fantastic experience: This is a dentist office worth a full 5 star review. The office is full of professionals. I had to have a root canal. All of my previous experiences had me pretty anxious (and I am not prone to anxiety). The experience was not at all as bad as I thought. I was successfully numbed on the first attempt. I was made to feel comfortable each step of the way. I am appreciative of the care and personal attention given during my appointment.

Negative experience: TLDR; if you care about the longevity of your teeth do not come here! Okay, so basically, this place is a money grab type and not really focused on keeping your teeth healthy long-term. They were all about drilling and filling to make the profits. I went there back in 2021, and the hygienist was way too aggressive with the flossing, which was just annoying. Then the dentist found one cavity and three "problem areas" and wanted to drill everything right away. Luckily, I decided to get a second opinion. Turns out, they were way overdoing it. The new dentist I found was much more detailed and focused and introduces me to something called SDF, which stopped the cavity from getting worse without any drilling. Three years later, my teeth are still fine. So, yeah, definitely glad I didn't let the first place drill away!

Positive experience: I've been going to Riccobene Associates Family Dentistry for almost two (2) years. I have referred several friends and family to the practice. My first visit was outstanding!! My dental hygienist recognized I was cold and sked if I'd like a heated blanket. I thought this was customer service on another level. For the most part customer service has been great. However, today's visit put me a little on edge/alert. I only get dental cleanings (preventive care) every 6 months which is covered at 100%. Today I was asked to pay for the services - cleaning/x-rays. I believe I would have been made to pay for the services-cleaning/x-rays had I not gotten my provider on the phone to provide additional insight that panoramic and PAs x-rays are covered at 100%.

Fantastic experience: Had a good consultation with Dr. Jorgenson today (2/5/24). Then was able to take advantage of a cancellation to have my semi-annual cleaning. Very happy with the professionalism and courtesy of this visit.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was in a lot of pain and needed a difficult extraction performed. Riccobene was in network and able to see her within an hour of my call. She had her consult & surgery the same day and sailed through every minute of it. She loved the experience! Dr. Jorgensen & her assistant did an excellent job. They had pleasant, thorough, and professional bedside manner. They were highly attentive, informative, and caring. My daughter loved the office’s amenities, too (TV, blanket, lavender-scented hot towel).

Negative experience: This place is a cluster. I went in for a basic cleaning as a new patient and their systems failed causing me to lose the X-ray they took. They called me the next day and asked me to come back I agreed assuming it would be a 5 minute interaction.. made the appt and showed up on time only to wait 45 minutes in their waiting room for them to fix their mistakes. On top of that I've got the sneaking suspicion they charge far more than average as the quote for one cap was over 600 doll hairs. Not a recommend

Fantastic experience: Riccobene is my favorite dentist to visit routinely! Though there are many offices, I have frequented the Garner location for years. The staff is somehow always consistently kind, patient, helpful and it is kept clean. I have x-rays performed once a year, i've had a filling done here, and sealant when I was younger. Today, I had my simple routine cleaning done with Anita and Tina. It was an above average experience consisting of women who were empathetic of my needs. I also recall they made pleasant small talk I enjoyed, like when Anita noted that she would find pleasure in going to the farmer's market. Always a five star experience for me

Fantastic experience: Riccobene has helped me get over a decades-long phobia of the dentist. I started going to this location a few years ago, and everyone there is so patient. They are also so diligent in being sure my dental care is appropriate for other health challenges I've been facing. I can't say enough about them.

Negative experience: My second and last experience at this location was quite terrible. Hygienist rushed my cleaning and finished within 25 mins in a 45 min appointment slot. She managed to cut my gums twice with the cleaning implements causing bleeding for 30 mins. I have never had such bleeding with prior hygienists and my last cleaning was six mos ago at this location so I know this was due to her rushing and incompetence. The remainder of my appointment was spent waiting for the dentist. When I brought the bleeding to the dentists attention she dismissed it by telling me to stop applying pressure to the cut. As if that is going to help! This is not a professional way to address a hygienists mistake. You run your practice like a factory farm. Patients are treated like cattle with a one size fits all protocol: xrays every year no matter the health of the teeth. Xrays are not needed annually per the ADA guidance and even less often for patients with healthy teeth. This is a money grab. If you push back on their “policy” you can expect to get retaliatory treatment by a hygienist who cuts your gums.

Negative experience: DONT GO TO RICCOBENE!!!! I arrived for my appointment and was informed my dental plan was canceled without any notice. I have previous emails and text messages from riccobene and nothing about this being canceled. I used a credit card for payment and the lady insulted me saying it won't process if there wasn't enough on the card as if she isn't aware how they work. I have over 3k limit left and even tho I have the card and never received notice they wanted me to reinroll and pay another sign up fee, which is $50 more than it was 1 year ago by the way. I've gone to this dentist for over 10 years and I've had problems with them messing up fillings canceling appointments and now this. 3 strikes you're out.

Fantastic experience: I had to have an old crown replaced and I am very happy with the outcome of the new crown visits.

Negative experience: I scheduled my first appointment with this dental clinic expecting to get a cleaning, but instead, all I received were x-rays and scaling. I was charged $50 during the appointment, which I agreed to pay under the assumption that it was the total amount owed. However, a month later, I was surprised to receive a bill for over $85. I have tried reaching their billing department and left four messages, but I have yet to receive a call back. This lack of communication and transparency about charges is frustrating and unprofessional. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experience, and I hope they improve their billing practices and customer service.

Fantastic experience: My most recent appointment was the best experience ever. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a genuine smile and upbeat attitude from Stacy. The dental assistant, Sierra, was friendly, upbeat, always smiling, so helpful and caring. The dentist, Dr. Prince, was the best. I'll ask for her anytime she is available. Because of this experience I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Negative experience: AVOID the Garner office like the plague!! The customer service is totally disgusting. The condescending nature and tone of the Office Manager is down right uncalled for.

Negative experience: My child could not have had a worse experience with Victoria. Her bedside manner was terrible. The dentist’s bedside manner wasn’t much better. As a dental hygienist myself, I expected more from a dental office specifically for children. As a parent, I would not refer any children to this office (Garner, NC).

Negative experience: Chose this location because it was in network and was suppose to have my cleaning here for the first time today — customer service was awful in my experience. Checked in at 8:50am for a 9am appt with many others coming in after me. As names are being called to go back, all others that came in after me were seen, all to the point I was the only one left in the reception room until 9:15am. At this point I go up and ask, receptionist says ‘oh they will be with you soon, it’ll be a few mins’. We are called to make an appt but when you cannot be respectful of my time and now I have to reschedule for another appt because of your inconvenience AND without an apology for the wait — this is unacceptable!! For this, I WILL NOT STEP FOOT in this facility again as customer service is very big to me!

Negative experience: Staff is mostly from a staffing company and not actually full time employees, including the people cleaning teeth. So you rarely see the same person twice. Very unorganized and price is a bit high if you're out of pocket compared to other local options. When we moved dentists they came up with every reason they could to not send our history to our new provider. We filled out the transfer apps twice and after numerous complaints about things like "illegible numbers" on digital documents, we gave up and moved on without our history being transferred. Wouldn't recommend, there are definitely better options around the area.

Negative experience: Happy to leave this review... I've been to this dentistry a couple of times... and my last two experiences with them, have not been great! Had an appointment at the Knightdale location a few weeks ago, and was turned off by the customer service with two ladies at the front desk. The energy that was surrounding them was so bad that I ultimately canceled my appointment. I called the Garner location today as I see they're open on Saturday's which works great for my work schedule, to make another appointment for an extraction of a tooth that has been causing me pain, and the operator/scheduler refused stating "A referral was needed for the extraction". The Knightdale location didn't deny my appointment for an extraction, so what makes the Garner location different? If someone is in pain, why would you turn them away? I've had two extractions from them before with no referral for it. Only referrals for root canals, and they continue to extract the teeth that were bothering me. The care overall in North Carolina is so poor (with medical and dental), that they make other states (I'm not originally from here) look like gold! It's extremely concering, and disappointing! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Of anyone could suggest a better dental office, please do!

Fantastic experience: Thus was my first visit. From start to finish they treated me great. The front desk was helpful and kind. The hygienist, Michelle and her assistant Brooke were both knowledgeable, efficient and kind. The dentist who checked me, Dr. Pate, was thorough and detailed in my check-up. My total experience was awesome. In my opinion, I was lucky to get Brooke and Michelle- I requested them for my next 6 month check-up. If you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend Riccobbean Dental, Michelle, Brooke and Dr Pate!

Negative experience: I will never come back to Riccobene Dental in Garner. I have been taking care of my terminally ill mother by myself in Texas who collapsed with a brain tumor and has to go into hospice. I confirmed my appointment via their text before getting on a plane to come back to North Carolina to take care of some issues here at home and then fly back. I take off from work this morning to go to the dentist and when I walk in the snarky little girls behind the counter inform me they’ve canceled my appointment. They said, even though I confirmed a day in advance via their text that I did not call them to confirm also. I still don’t understand why they admit I confirmed but still cancelled my appointment I made 6 months ago because I didn’t call. I explained I most likely was in the air flying so a SECOND confirmation wouldn’t have been possible. I hate this dentist office and their snarky front desk employees. It’s all about the mighty dollar and no compassion whatsoever for people that are going through things. I burst into tears and am so embarrassed and humiliated at their treatment. My biggest beef with this is I confirmed and they admit I confirmed. So if they can text me for a confirmation, where was MY courtesy text or email that they cancelled me??? It goes BOTH ways doesn’t it? I know I’m emotional right now but it’s bologna that they cancelled my appointment even with a confirmation and didn’t give me the courtesy of a heads up. I will never be back.

Fantastic experience: Riccobene had been there for me and my family for over 13 years. Today, I had an emergency and they were open, they took me right in, fixed the problem and put me back in play. I highly recommend Riccobene as your dental needs. They are efficient, reliable, friendly and personable.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing experience at this place- and that is saying a lot being that experience was a root canal. I was referred here due to a need for a root canal and local places not having an opening for over a month. From the very first time I called, I was met with extremely helpful people. They took the time to explain why it would be worth the wait to be able to use my insurance and recommended a pain management plan for the time I did have to wait. The endodontist I saw was fantastic. She was kind and personable and her assistant was one of the kindest people I have met. She was so patient and gentle with every step. She constantly made sure I was comfortable and tried every trick in the books to help with preserving my crown that was “temporarily placed” . Highly recommend this office!!

Fantastic experience: I have severe TMJ and my Hygienist is the most gentle and skilled in her job. She does an amazing job with my limitation of opening my mouth. She takes breaks and even supplies me with warm compresses. The Dentist is amazing and caring. She is at a high demand because she does not rush you. She listen, explains, and does what is necessary to maintain a healthy mouth.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental emergency over the weekend and first thing Monday morning contacted them, they had me in the office within the next few hours. The procedure was extremely quick and painless. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone!!!!

Fantastic experience: Many dentists so appointments are convenient to you. Large waiting area and plenty of free parking. Nice staff there. My Hygienist (Kelly) was very good, and will rebook with her again. She always asks how you are doing, especially if you make a face. I really like it there.

Fantastic experience: They were Great. We walked in on a Saturday morning with severe toothache and they got my son in within 15 min. The two ladies at the front desk (Joye was one) were so nice and helpful. They could tell he was in so much pain and i was worried. They were wonderful. Loved our visit there and this office will be our go to place from now on. Thank yall again.

Negative experience: They are wonderful until they are not. A doctor has an emergency and needs to leave that is ok. A patient has a dental emergency your sitting in your appointment until the doctor is free. If you unfortunately get held up at work and call to tell them your not going to make an appointment on time- well that’s unacceptable because you did not call 24hours in advance- well I didn’t know 24hrs in advance- well there you go they charge you $150 that’s ok? Think not especially when you’re going to be looking at over $8,000 + In future dental work. Say bye bye!

Negative experience: Coming here for years and the people are super friendly, however, I just had a horrible experience and wanted to warn others that attend this office. I received a bill even though it was supposed to just be a normal cleaning. No big deal, I called my insurance and they notified me that I was getting charged for a fluoride treatment. I did not receive a fluoride treatment, so I called the office thinking it was going to be easy to resolve and instead they insisted I had the treatment because it was written in the notes. It felt horrible to not only have a charge for a service that I definitely did not request nor receive, but also to not be believed by these ladies. I tried to get it resolved over the phone, they were not going to waive it. I ended up going up there and finally they waved it for me, but still did not believe me. Very disappointing experience, so my advice to their patients is to please request everything that is in your notes the day you go in so you do not face additional charges.

Fantastic experience: It is quite a pleasure experience getting root canal and crown done with Dr. Uhlir and Jennifer! They are really kind and professional. They elaborate details about insurance, operating procedures and post treatments in advance, and answer my questions patiently. I feel peaceful and comfortable here, not afraid of seeing the dentist as I was a child.

Fantastic experience: I came to them after biting something hard and breaking a back molar and they were amazing. Amy got me an appointment right away and Dr. Uhlir and Tiffany did an amazing job in fixing it without me feeling any pain or discomfort!! I recommend anyone in need of a dentist and dental work to come to this office and they will take very good care of you.

Fantastic experience: I had my very first visit this week! This is honestly a hidden gem. I have never walked in and out of a dentist office without feeling defeated financially until this week. The staff were very welcoming and definitely made sure you were comfortable. I have a broken tooth and the dental hygienist went over every option with no sales pressure. Fantastic experience: Big thanks to Dr. Chen and Erica for making a dreaded root canal quick and easy! My appointment was at 8:00 and I was in the chair by 8:05! I didn’t feel a thing!! I then saw Dr. Uhlir and Tiffany and they are an awesome team! I’m so happy that I chose to go there!!

Afterwards, I was greeted by Tiffany a technologist. Tiffany was also pleasant, well informed, concise, helpful and thorough. She provided a very clear explanation of the charges, insurance coverage and limitations associated with my recommended treatment plan. Next I was attended to by Dr. Chen. She was cheerful, proficient, full of information and provided me with all the information I needed to navigate the decision making process and proceed with my treatment. In summary, the whole interaction was pleasant from the minute I walked in the reception area until I was finished and on my way out. I am very appreciative of the high quality of services they all provided. My compliments and thanks to all three of these professionals.

Fantastic experience: I had a really good experience at the Garner office. Michelle the dental hygenist and Tiffany were very sweet and made me feel very comfortable during my visit. Dr. Yuler was very nice too. Overall I had a good visit and would recommend them to others. The office was real clean too. Thank you staff for making me feel comfortable.
