Katie, the dental hygienist assisting me, provided exceptional service. She took the time to understand my needs and helped ease my anxiety about dental treatment. Katie works alongside a team of caring professionals who are clearly dedicated to creating a positive patient experience—even during check-out! Shout-out to Dr. Kuhns too!

Negative experience: Whoever the pregnant nurse there is she’s extremely rude and not compassionate. I was very please with my first visit was willing to pay for treatment entirely upfront , “in cash” so to speak . Due to the fact that I’m 22 and don’t have health insurance at the moment. There was no issue with me paying but I just was asking to see a breakdown of the cost and what I was going to be paying for and she just kept saying if you don’t put the 800$ down today you will not receive medication or treatment. She also said at one point they don’t do payment plans because people never pay. Even though over the phone someone already had told me they do. I even asked to speak with someone else …. I don’t know if she was just having a bad day or what but I’ll certainly be spending my money somewhere else and wouldn’t recommend coming here . Which is unfortunate because the doctor seemed very nice when I had first visited. I genuinely felt embarrassed seeking treatment which is not how someone should feel in a doctors office.

Fantastic experience: Wow! Let me tell you - this place is amazing! From the moment you walk in - the staff goes above and beyond to be welcoming, professional and helpful! The offices are big and clean - and they offer all sorts of services (pediatrics, ortho, etc.). It’s a practice for the whole family (wife and kids go here too). I couldn’t recommend this practice enough - especially Dr. Whitman - absolutely the best!

Negative experience: Was just turned away from my daughter's appointment because I did not respond to their SPAM. I have been a patient here since they opened in the previous building, and have never had this issue. They had the wrong phone number on file, so the text did not go through. Was told by the office manager, "That's your fault. It's not our job to update your phone number." In years and years of being a patient we have not missed a scheduled appointment or been late on a payment. Our phone number hasn't changed. I'm not sure if the ownership has changed, or if there is a new office manager. Either way we are getting a new family dentist.

Negative experience: At first I like this place for my kid but they waited the date before my kids surgery (when i took off work and everything) to cancel it and I'll have to wait over a month and half. Maybe don't wait till the day before to tell someone there appointment is canceled. Definitely finding a new pediatric dentist.

Katie was super nice and helped me feel easy and unintimidated :) I hope to get her again in my 6 month followup, and Dr. Martinez was amazing! He felt super easy to talk to and down to earth. I’ve been really anxious about my teeth and my wisdom teeth, and he really helped me feel very at ease with the way he spoke to me about my concerns. I 100% see why people recommend this place. Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom teeth removed here, and my wife got a cleaning. What a great experience all around. I set up an appointment and they quickly gave me a consultation. We booked my extraction about a month from the consultation. I started feeling more pain and I called again a few days later to ask if we could figure something out to push my appointment up. They were so helpful in moving things around to help me. They even called me back to ensure my appointment was set correctly because they knew I was hurting. I'm 2 weeks post op and they clearly did a great job. I am so satisfied with their procedures and service I've told everyone i know. Thank you Village Dental!

Negative experience: *Update* The visit that led to the review below happened several months after having crown work done. I was not notified at this appointment or the appointment previous to this that I had a balance due for the crown work that was done. Today, 5 years later, I was served by the Hamilton County Sherriff for the debt. The paperwork Village Dental at Saxony submitted stated they mailed and emailed me about the balance. I never received any notice from this office. I reached out to the attorney for the collection company, and they said the client did not submit copies of those communications to them either. I loved this office when I started going there, but a number of the clinical and administrative staff changed and the change is obvious. As a healthcare professional, I do not recommend this office to anyone based solely off the performance of their front office staff and lack of knowledge of junior clinical staff. I normally have incredible service and incredible care here. This visit I am hoping is a one off. My last deep cleaning was canceled even though I showed up because I didn’t respond to the text they sent me even though someone called and I told them I would be there. The office manager said they had no record of that phone call. Do to my job as a nurse and the restrictions in place because of COVID this past Monday was the first appointment I was able to make. I didn’t specify I needed a deep cleaning when I scheduled the appointment and that’s my fault. When I got to my appointment I was told I needed a deep cleaning but that there wasn’t time for it during this appointment. I didn’t receive any cleaning at all while I was there. The hygienist said I needed to update my bite wing xrays and that it will be completely covered by insurance. Today I received a bill for $37 because it was not in fact covered by insurance. At least I got new heads for my Sonic Care toothbrush while I was there. I’m a little panicked about my Tuesday appointment because it is with one of my normal dentist partners to put 3 crowns in that got put on hold because of the pandemic.

Fantastic experience: Clean and beautiful facility, super friendly staff, kind and knowledgeable dentist. Took their time, explained everything well, answered all my questions.

Negative experience: Very disappointing ;been going here for years then they proceeded to put me on a call in daily for hygienist basis, I have a family of 5, I believe I have had to adjust schedules and times a few times, but to cancel my schedule and change my cleanings and my dentist 4 times in 4 years after my original dentist left and not communicate this to me is very unprofessional. Then to have me call in daily to get in on a cleaning list is very subpar for being a long term patient and when I called in and talk to a leader she proceeded to rattle dates, I have never experienced the robotic unapologetic attitude they are doing here, they lost there personal touch with quality and now focused on numbers over personal experience and to argue with me on the phone and tell me the owners made this decision like they are a group of hierarchical dictatorship is terrible. I will be taking my 7 year relationship elsewhere, unless they can rectify this damaged experience. I used to see Dr Kramer, we are ex Navy service leaders when he left it went down hill with my experience, every time I would try to get my cleaning it was so complicated, very unprofessional and divisive Sarah and argumentative as a leader and the team is very resistant.

Fantastic experience: I was pretty nervous to start treatment with ortho. I’ve had bad experiences in the past with the dental field so I was sweating. As soon as the ortho team called me back I knew this was a safe environment to express that I felt nervous and anxious. Everyone I spoke with was so sweet and understanding of my feelings. Dr. Parrish and Dr. Krull are so caring and accommodating. Highly recommend for anyone looking into braces :)

Positive experience: The place is very impressive. This is by far the best dentist place I ever went to in my entire life. The most awesome part is that every each room have ceiling TV where you can feel ease to watch HGTV while they are doing your teeth. A bit downside abt this is waiting. Came in super early but they called other patients first who came in late. And, I’m myself deaf and they couldn’t get an interpreter on the very short notice which is understandable.

Negative experience: I’ve been coming here for years, back when they had their office next to jack donuts. Everyone was great from front dest to hygienist to doctors including the billing staff. I now have to wait 6 months just to be seen and I never see a dentist for no more than 2 minutes, it’s always the staff. This last visit with my hygienist was the worst, she had a rude tone in her voice when I questioned what the difference in a regular routine cleaning vs a periodontal routine cleaning. She hesitated and stumbled her words a bit before saying “well, no difference in what I did to you today” but she billed me for a periodontal cleaning. “ “ I also had a bridge done that (Dr. Martinez) told me I needed since I had it for 13 years and it was due to get it replaced, mind you I never had any issues with it. That bridge is so sensitive to water now and I regret ever getting it replaced. My first bridge was done at another dentist not village dental. This place got way too big to even care about their customers. My family & I will NOT be coming back.

Negative experience: Bad experience today. In for cleaning and exam that usually takes 20-30 minutes. After cleaning, I was told the dentist would be in shortly for the exam. After sitting there for close to 30 minutes, as I was getting ready to leave, the dentist showed up. Very disappointing.

Fantastic experience: The best dentist and office to work with ever..I've been in their care for 3 years after Dr. Talbott interjected into some bad work performed by another dentist caused and infection that could have been life threatening. He put together a treatment plan they we are working on. Got my 85 year old mother in on an emergency basis to evaluate and turned out she needed an emergency root canal. I'm writing this review as we sit here waiting for her sedation meds to kick in. Best best best

Fantastic experience: My dentist of 20 years retired a couple years ago and I've had difficulty finding one since who matches his and his office's level of service and professionalism...until now. I had my first appointment at Village Dental and Dr. Stumpf and Ashton were both outstanding... They went well above and beyond what I expected in this first "exam appointment", spent quite a bit of time with me, and even addressed a minor issue I had been dealing with, immediately on the spot without any notice or planning. Both were true professionals and made me feel very welcome as a new patient. Needless to say, I believe I've finally found my new dentist...! I highly recommend Village Dental, specifically Dr. Stumpf and Ashton. True pros at what they do.

Fantastic experience: The best dental office. Let me start with they have a wonderful and friendly staff, from when you come in to when you leave. They have some many doctors that they can always work you in. The best they can take care of children and adults. So the whole family can go to one place.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Carol and Natalie were fantastic with my very hesitant and stubborn 4 year old. When they realized the appointment for a cleaning was going to be very stressful for my child, they pivoted and turned it into a happy visit. Now my 4 year old had a positive experience with the dentist and isn’t fearful to go back. Other pediatric dentists just pushed through after a few tries, but Dr. Carol and Natalie recognized that my daughter needed a positive experience first. I wish I would’ve find this office years ago!

Negative experience: Not a good place to go if you or your loved one has a disability. The staff is not trained and based on our experience they don't appear to accommodate or respect those with disabilities. Based on a truly horrible experience when my child was discriminated against, we won't be back and would never recommend this practice.

Negative experience: I'm disappointed with my recent experience at Village Dental at Saxony. I arrived for my scheduled 6-month check-up appointment, only to find out that I couldn't be seen by a dentist due to my assigned dentist taking their lunch break and other dentists being unavailable. I question the purpose of scheduling appointments if patients can't be seen as planned. This wasted my time and caused inconvenience.

Negative experience: We have been coming here for years and recently the tone of the clinic has gone from being very collaborative to one of decision making that is not consistent with the stated goals of the clinic, including surprise billing. As both Tricare and Village customers it should be easy to find the exact billing amount, we just received a bill for an additional $250 plus dollars for a procedure that we paid our share of at the time of visit. Under Indiana law, the practice is required to provide an accurate estimate and not surprise billing after the fact. When we tried to call to discuss we were told "That's just an estimate, sometimes it's more." This should be a few dollars at most not hundreds, this fits the description of surprise billing described under Indiana State law. If this doesn't get satisfactorily resolved I will be contacting the Indiana Attorney General and Dental board to seek further guidance and report this matter.

Fantastic experience: I walked in, they knew my name. Waited 5 minutes then sat in the chair. Always great job with cleaning. (Lauren x2) Dentist came in (no wait) for check up. Insurance automatically billed. Walked out. Perfect.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency from an old front bonding which was falling apart amd happened just before leaving on a trip to the UK. I have to say that the team at Village Dental at Saxony were amazing. From the front desk (Trisha) who was very professional and understanding, and the dental assistant (Jen) and Dr. Martinez who fixed me up, the experience was fantastic. They took care of me, and I was no longer worried about my teeth during my travels. Incredible job all around! I strongly recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Visiting the dentist ranks in the number 1 spot of places I would least like to be but I wanted to find a new place that would understand my anxieties, along with addressing a tender tooth asap. With that being said, I researched dentists in the area and clearly saw this was the highest rated so I decided to try them out. Dr. Talbott was super easy to talk to. He took time to talk to me before examining my teeth. He was kind, gentle, thorough and gave me options on next steps. I left the office ready to make my next appointment and happy very happy with my experience. Give him and his sweet assistant a try if you find the dentist at the top of your list!

The dental assistant Jenn was patient and thoughtful to some of my unique physical limitations/disabilities. She explained everything that was going to happen and was very pleasant to be around. It was my first time going to this dentist and I felt completely at ease. Costs were explained so that I wasn't surprised as to what to see from my insurance or billing.
