Negative experience: They overbooked twice. No concern for patient’s time. Move along if you value your time.
Negative experience: I had one of the worst dental experiences of my life at NU Dentistry. When I first went in about three years ago, I was just looking to fix a bridge that had fallen out. The office was beautiful, clean, and the front staff was friendly at first — I thought I was in good hands. I explained up front that I was a cash-paying patient with no dental insurance, and asked them to give me the best possible rate. Instead, I was pushed into a high-cost treatment plan that I didn’t fully understand. After being sedated with laughing gas, a sales rep came in and rushed me through signing paperwork. I was overwhelmed, half-sedated, and pressured to apply for CareCredit on the spot. I was told everything would be covered and affordable, but the procedure ended up costing over $15,000 — for what I later realized were likely veneers. I never planned or consented to that level of treatment knowingly. After the procedure, I returned a couple weeks later to have the permanent work placed. It looked okay at first, but within just two weeks, part of it became loose. The original dentist, Dr. K, was on vacation in Hawaii after just having a baby, so another dentist from the same office had to fix it. Less than three years later, it’s loose again. When I recently went back for help, the entire staff had changed — not a single familiar face. The front desk staff was cold and dismissive. Despite being a patient in their system, they insisted on re-collecting all my information and credit card again. The new doctor examined me, charged me an examination fee, and then quoted me $26,000 to redo everything. He offered no acknowledgment of the prior work, took no responsibility, and instead blamed me, claiming I must be a teeth grinder — something I’ve never been diagnosed with or told in my life. I left the office in tears, feeling taken advantage of, dismissed, and insulted. I already struggle with dental anxiety, and this experience made it ten times worse. NU Dentistry gave me the impression that they care more about upselling procedures and making money than actually helping patients. I’ve never had such a bad experience with a dental office. I would never recommend NU Dentistry to anyone. ——— Since I am unable to respond directly to the business owner, I will address their response here, or rather, the lack of one. It is convenient that when the conversation is public, you present yourself as respectful, yet during our internal discussion at your office two weeks ago, your response was filled with deflection and gaslighting. I do not know if this is an attempt at a money grab or simply an effort to obscure negligence, but what I want more than anything is to have the issue genuinely resolved. What you are presenting as a solution is anything but. It is just another transaction on your books.
We sincerely apologize for the experience you've described and understand your frustration. It’s our priority to ensure all our patients feel well-informed and cared for, and it’s clear that we fell short in your case. Negative experience: Had concerns brought up on my filling procedures after a crack tooth and decided to give a second review with the owner to address my concerns. The whole time he disregarded my statements , notes avoided certain details told , try to upsell instead of getting the best advised, made the pain worse than it and asked if I could read along with him on the notes…. I looked at other reviews and noticed similar experiences and now it makes sense.

Let me start with the front staff Alessandra and Nani at the front were so sweet and fun to be around. Dr Samir was so knowledgable and made the wholw treatment easy. Fantastic experience: I received exemplary service at Nu Dentistry! The staff at the front desk and dental assistants are incredibly nice and come to check up on you while you wait in the room. I had three cavities I didn’t know about and Dr. Samir fixed them up quickly and painlessly. I also received a cleaning by the dental hygienist, Steven, whose conversation made me feel very comfortable :)

Negative experience: Dealing with the supposed office manager of this branch, Noni horrible experience, very monotone, as if she doesn’t care about patients, disregarding my request trying to dominate the conversation rather than help!!! a client and a patient who is looking to get work done there I do not recommend having her as a manager of this location in anyway representing this company she comes off so arrogant. As if those people should be grateful to be coming to see the office. As I was speaking to her, she muted the voice on the phone pretending like she wasn’t there till I said wow you’re just gonna mute me like that. I simply asked to set up dentistry work the same day as the exam where I had to repeat myself literally 10 times instead of just saying yeah no problem. Let me check on that. I don’t recommend going here and giving business and dealing with people like that. That’s why I’m giving this review.

The customer service and overall vibe of the employees really make you feel welcomed. They also talked me through everything they were doing and made sure I went home with the best payment plan. Fantastic experience: Nu Dentistry is top tier yet still very reasonably priced. From the design of the office, accommodating and extremely patient front office staff. They are extremely knowledgeable and engaging even prior to my meeting Dr. Lawand who answered every one of my questions in detail without making me feel rushed. Even my treatment plan specialist was extremely patient and accommodating while addressing my many concerns with how to proceed going forward. All in all 10/10, highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Shoutout to Nani and Steven, The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. The hygienist took the time to explain the procedure and answered all my questions, which really helped ease my nerves. The cleaning itself was thorough yet gentle, and the hygienist frequently checked to make sure I was comfortable. I also appreciated how clean and well-maintained the office was—it really added to the positive experience.
