Negative experience: Lack of transparency and poor administrative handling I had a very disappointing experience with Miami Bay Oral Health. During my orthodontic treatment, I was told I owed $400 for the retainers. I made two payments toward that amount, and later I was suddenly informed that I owed significantly more — with no clear explanation. I repeatedly requested a written breakdown to understand why the balance increased and what the insurance covered. I was never provided with that information. Instead, I received a confusing receipt and was told I “didn’t know how to read it properly,” and that I would only get answers if I came into the office. I found that response condescending and unprofessional. Additionally, some procedures were labeled as “No Bill Ins” — meaning they were not billed to the insurance — and I was never informed of this or asked for consent to pay out of pocket. Patients deserve clear, respectful, and transparent communication. That was not my experience here. I do not recommend this office if you’re expecting honest billing and responsible administrative support. If you choose this provider, get everything in writing from the beginning.
Negative experience: I am not complaining about the orthodontia, this complaint is strictly regarding the front desk customer service. At no time, can I call this establishment, and get an answer. They keep telling me to text for communication, it takes them hours to respond. Then the last thing I was told was to call and text through WhatsApp. Still no answer to either text or call. I’m sick of this. I have been patronizing this place for years and have been dealing with this for way too long. Its’s to the point where I would like to pull the braces off my son just so I don’t have to go back. I don’t live close to this place. Plus they have gotten rid of the free parking for their clients… you now have to pay for parking or risk getting towed. And they will not be responsible for paying any of the tow fees. I have had enough!

Negative experience: Don’t go here the doctor is rude they are very money hungry I missed a few appointments because I had to catch up on bills they set me an appointment I got there they made me pay a 100 did an X-ray the doctor came and said she can take them off for me but she can’t tighten them because I missed appointments she is very rude don’t go here and also they are very money hungry ! They don’t want to use your insurance because they want cash told me it’s was. 400 dollars to remove my braces

Negative experience: I never thought I’d be sharing this, but after four years of emotional trauma, I’m finally ready to talk about my experience. In late 2021, I was excited to have my braces removed. However, during the removal, my upper right lateral incisor broke off and remained attached to the brace. I remember being in the room confused asking what happened while the dental staff refused to answer my question. Despite regular X-rays and check-ups, they failed to detect any issues beforehand. The clinic denied responsibility and merely glued the broken piece back without informing me of potential nerve damage and the implications of that. So, it was truly shocking to hear from my current dentist that I had an infection in my tooth that needed to be treated right away. The reason I couldn’t feel the infection was because the nerve was dead and required a root canal—an expensive procedure. Beyond the financial strain, the emotional toll has been immense. For years, I’ve avoided social situations, fearing my tooth might break again. This experience has deeply affected my confidence and trust in dental professionals. I hope sharing my story can help people reconsider treatment at this clinic and to be cautious and ensure you’re fully informed about all procedures

Negative experience: Worst place ever and I cant wait till my treatment is finished. They try to get more money out of you. When I first got my braces they told me that the cleaning was optional, I come back almost a year later and now it’s “mandatory” and the lady at the front lied and said I was getting the cleaning every 3 months. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Negative experience: The worst dental company. Stay away from this place, every time I come the prices are different. Staff is not very friendly. I had a problem with a Venezuelan manager who was pregnant and just because I asked her something she spoke to me very badly and only because she felt bad. Not the best way to talk to a costumer.

Negative experience: Terrible service, they never answer the phone. You write to him on social networks and they don't answer either. I ordered my x-rays and they charged me an extra $25 to give them to me. 2 days have passed and they still haven't given them to me. There is no way to communicate with them. Negative experience: If I could give negative stars, I would. This place is an absolute disaster. First, the calls go through a call center that will say anything to get you to book, but once you’re there, expect long waits and chaos. I was assured over the phone that they would accept my insurance for orthodontics—they don’t. I also booked for a cleaning, only to be told in person that it wasn’t possible. Instead, they pushed me to start braces without any genuine concern for my dental health. The finance manager acted as if I was wasting her time, telling me she had ‘paying customers’ waiting in the lobby. I took time off work only to be dismissed and informed they would only take cash, despite what I’d been told over the phone. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. They’re unprofessional, disrespectful, and frankly discriminatory.

Negative experience: Really cannot wait until my family’s service is over here! For starters, they start with telling you it’ll be a $90 adjustment fee and then out the blue say it’s $120 instead without any notice or consent and when I inquired the front staff about this (who is impolite, by the way) they act like this was something that has been going on since the beginning. Not only that, but the doctor was condescending to one of my family members when asked a simple question about when the procedure is over. Will not be recommending to anyone further! You can tell their service is going down by the looks of their place.

Today, I asked how much longer I have until my procedure is over and the doctor that answered my question was patronizing and wasn’t direct rather picking on the fact that I haven’t been able to come in that frequently. Fantastic experience: I came in with a broken crown and not having been to the dentist in a while due to past poor experiences with other dentists. The women in reception were kind and receptive (go figure) and very helpful. Wait times were great. The dentists, hygienists, and technicians were all very friendly and professional. The office is bilingual Spanish and English speaking (maybe more, but I only speak English so I was happy). I’m so relieved to have found a dental office I feel like I can trust with my care. ♾️

If someone is paying for a service, they should be able to ask questions about their progress and treatment plan. I’m not sure if she is hormonal because of her pregnancy, racist or just a bad person, but every paying customer should be treated with respect. And I was only able to receive a partial refund for services not rendered.

Negative experience: This place is absolutely horrible. For one they are not professional at all. The employees there and the manager is absolutely rude. For two, i started off paying $90 for my adjustment they trap you with the low price then it raised to $120 ONLY FOR ADJUSTMENT NOT INCLUDING CLEANING. And they dont even do the adjustments right because i been going for months and see no changes in my teeth. They keep raising the prices that too. Negative experience: Save your money and go to a legit orthodontist. This place will try to rip you off in any way they can. Sloppy job and you don’t even get to see the actual orthodontist. Everything is done by a Dental Hygiene/ Dental Assistant. Such a waste of time and money! I came in to put my bottom on and was told I had to have it clean beforehand even thought I just had it clean a month ago to put the top on. They said it’s “mandatory”. The wire already came lose 2 days later. I addressed the issue today to them to just be told “ok”. I asked to see the orthodontist today when I come in and was told “she’s not here” then she only came into the room with an attitude after I had said I want to take them off. They only want your money with no intention of fixing your teeth. I had mine taken off after a few months without even a slight change! I also had to pay $500 fee for them to take it off. This place is a scam!

Positive experience: This place really went down hill I used to come for my braces with the old staff and doctors was amazing I went in this week for a filling to find out it’s a whole new staff and doctor at a new location. The new staff is a little rude they don’t explain what they doing and the new doctor never said who she was like introducing herself with a name they was speaking Spanish to each other I came in because my teeth got chip they said the filling came out which I did not know until I went in the office where they talk about payments then they informed me I had 2 cavities that needed to be filled …I was like the doctor or whoever did not say that when I was in the chair but showing me a chat with it ..the payment lady was saying she just do payments and what the doctor told her I had 2 I was confused like why the doctor did not say that while I was in the room with them they seem unhappy and seem to not care.

Negative experience: You get what you paid for and remember they’re not orthodontist! I also make the same mistake didn’t read and I didn’t know anything I have bone loss which they never told me about it and they just decided to get me into the treatment which it didn’t work at the end .luckily I didn’t lose any tooth They are nice people but don’t have the right knowledge for being a real dentist 3 years of treatment for no reason . Now Iam going to a periodontist to get treat it for the bone loss and after a couple of months I’ll be ready to get some new braces to a real orthodontist MR zambrano. I’ll spent more money this time but it will be worth it at the end . So Guys don’t make the same mistake I did read carefully get some knowledge before to take any decision. Remember they’re your teeth not theirs at the end no one cares but you. also there is not way they have all those stars . I believe they got all those ratings by giving out free adjustments to whom ever put a positive review on their website

Negative experience: I've been coming here for years and it's only because of their prices . Their prices are affordable but they certainly lack professionalism and lied about my teeth condition. I don't recommend this orthodontist office to no one . I had to pay for the removal and my treatment was over . When I went in to pick up my retainers the dentist didn't come to the room and tell me no instructions on the retainers or anything .

I debated wether to call or text, I went ahead and texted them, I was speechless with the amount of professionalism and customer service they have, was able to book a consultation appointment with 24 hrs. When I arrived at the practice, I was amazed on how effectively and efficient their check-in is. The staff is top notch knowledgeable and work as a team, family oriented. The Orthodontist is the most down to earth loving professional I have ever met in South Florida, and the saying of open door policy when it comes to Office Manager…Wow she puts the cherry on top of the icing, she is loving, respectful, and her best quality is she listens and places close attention to the patients and families needs. The front desk are very welcoming and answered all of questions and concerns. This review is not paid advertisement, my daughters are real patients of Miami Bay Oral Health, and I a a proud parent to say, not only have their smile changed, but their confidence and bucal health. Negative experience: WARNING WARNING this is a dental office not orthodontist office. They don't make this clear at all until they've already started work on your teeth. Don't make the same mistake that I did. There's no way that all these five star reviews are legitimate. Make sure you thoroughly check any papers they give you to sign. Negative experience: This place is the worst dentist office. These people only cares about money. Go somewhere where people actually care because they don’t. You have an appointment and you could be waiting Almost two hours before seeing someone. I believe the people there is also people that are practicing on your teeth. I will never recommend this place . Mind you I’ve been with them for 6years and now I had to start over with a new dentist and orthodontist so don’t waste your time

Negative experience: This establishment charges you for appointments you have never booked ever since the company relocated to the new building. Hidden fees are popping up. This is ridiculous. You can not charge someone who hasn't booked an appointment. If the company has new policies, let us know. The fact that we can not contact this company but they can contact us is ridiculous!!!
Hello, we hope you are well! We charge a $25 deposit for your appointment to be secured. The patient has 24 hours before the time of the appointment to reschedule or cancel the appointment without penalty. If the patient fails to cancel or reschedule prior to the 24 hours, the deposit is forfeited. Our cancellation policy is clearly outlined in the patient registration forms filled out at the first visit as well as included in the email sent when you book your appointment. This policy was implemented to help the office run efficiently and on time. We are very clear about our fees and every patient signs a financial form with all of the offices pricing and fee information. As for being unable to contact us, we respond to every email, Instagram, and Facebook message we receive. Patients can contact us any of these ways and one of our representatives will be in touch. Negative experience: Fake reviews, posting almost every day saying similar things and by random accounts with just this one review. 1. They do not speak/understand English well 2. They made me fill out forms there when I was in a rush to get to work -- they should have sent these before my appointment 3. I spent time filling out the survey there with a hundred questions, and the dentist did not even look at my problems I described there --- what was the purpose of that? 4. They unethically AGAINST FLORIDA RULES OF DENTISTRY charge $25 to obtain x-rays. This is too much -- they should charge only the cost of sending it. Instead they try to make money. And the Groupon I purchased said x-rays included, VERY misleading and unclear. Poor customer service, low quality dentistry.

Negative experience: Miami oral bay is not a dentist/ orthodontist that i would recommend. They change their prices often without notifying you. Everything other month there’s a new set of staff and Doctor. I’m only giving them a 2 rating because short dude was very cool and cleaned my teeth hood!

Negative experience: Place is horrible. Waited an hour to be seen by the dentist then to have her not listen to my concerns at all, interrupt me, and try to correct me and get defensive when I told her I wasn’t comfortable with how she was treating my teeth. To top it off said I didn’t need a procedure done to a tooth that had been causing me major issues, which leads me to believe she just didn’t feel competent enough to do the procedure so I wouldn’t have gotten it done there. Had someone else on the staff (didn’t introduce herself) then berate me and interrupt me throughout explaining my experience. Not one person apologized for the wait or possible misunderstandings. This office does not understand customer service at all and that even as a doctor you have to be attuned to your clients’ (the people paying your bills) needs.

Negative experience: This place just wants your money, it may seem like they trying to help you but they hit you with hidden fees like a late fee if you haven’t gone in 3months not taking any consideration of peoples lives and they always making you pay a X-ray fee . Management was not helpful at all, unfortunately I wasn’t able to pay $160 in one visit so I asked if I could pay something the following month and the manager said no just giving me no option but to cancel my appointment and my trip to the clinic. Not everyone id financially stable and isn’t able to make such a big payment in one visit so it was very disappointing to see they just want your money and not see you with a smile

Negative experience: I was getting my monthly tightening done for my braces and unfortunately I was not able to go to the dentist for 3 month due to the fact that I had covid and was hospitalized. I asked the orthodontist if they would like to see my results for my sickness and they refused. Went on by telling me that I should have called the office letting them know my situation. I would have love to call the dentist office but they never had a phone number to call, the only way to get in contact with this place is through social media. Also, they changed theirs prices drastically without even letting me know until I arrived at the office. Very unprofessional.

Negative experience: Not being able to give a price range for a simple filling on the phone has been a simple waste of time. They tell you that a doctor visit will be $130 but can't give you a price range for a filling. It's very simple; what is the cheapest filling possible and whats the most expensive filling in your range of services? Only looked to come to this dentist because they're open on a Sunday and my usual dentist isn't. Then when you get there, if you ask around, they know to tell you that it'll start at $300. See It's a switch bate thing. You go there and see the doc even if its for a second - you have to pay $130. Now he can tell you that your filling will end up in you spending total of $500, who knows? Got a tiny little filling that fell off the edge of a front tooth. Any professional should have ranges for simple treatments, this is not some complicated gum surgery! Being a professional doesn't only mean being good at what you do. It means being a decent business owner and be able to be upfront with no stupid games played to make a little more money.
Negative experience: At first I thought this place was so good specially because of their pricing, I had always needed braces but it was always very expensive. At first they would have you wait from room to room, I would be there for 3-4 hours just waiting outside then they would call you inside to wait in ANOTHER room and so on, it was hard for me because Im a mom and I work full time so I dont have the time to ve sitting there for hours because they refused to work by appointments. They dont advise you of price changes, you can go one month and pay $50 and then the next month they are charging you $250 for a visit. I was ALWAY seen by a different "doctor" and never encountered anyone nice or good customer service skills at all, everyone was rude and overall is just a place with a bunch of kids that dont know what theyre doing. It became such a hassle for me because their previous location didnt even have parking that after 5 years of treatment and no progress I paid to grt them removed, ih and their retainers are like $600 in total. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
We are very sorry for your bad experience, we certainly attend by appointment, to avoid the patient waiting a long time. We have stipulated fee which the patient signs and agrees with in advance. We have affordable prices, and this new office we have parking. However we do not get your identification in our system as our patient.
