Fantastic experience: Our daughter began visiting Smileworks when she was five years old, and now, ten years later, we’re still just as happy with the care she receives. From the very beginning, the pediatric dentists have been exceptional — they know exactly how to make kids feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. The office has a modern, cheerful, and kid-friendly atmosphere that helps ease dental anxiety, which has made a big difference for our family. A few years ago, our daughter needed a frenectomy (a procedure on the upper lip), and Dr. Long and his team were amazing throughout the entire process. She tends to get very anxious before dental visits, but Smileworks is one of the few practices in the area that offers nitrous oxide with a scented mask — a small but meaningful touch that really helps her relax. Over the years, she's also been treated by Dr. Fernandez, who is excellent with kids and especially skilled in cosmetic dental work, and Dr. Farahat, who handled an emergency situation with professionalism and care. We truly can’t say enough good things about any of the dentists — each one has gone above and beyond. The dental hygienists, especially Jessica, have been fantastic — kind, gentle, and thorough at every visit. The scheduling team has also been very accommodating anytime we've had unexpected dental issues, making sure our daughter could be seen promptly, even if her regular dentist wasn’t available. Now that she’s older, she’s receiving orthodontic care through Smileworks as well. Very patient and understanding with kids, the staff is wonderful and they explain everything to me and my kids, so they understand everything happening too. They have tvs for the kids to watch while getting their teeth cleaned, and games in the waiting area, my kids love that. I called to get an appt for my boy and not only was the automated services good, but they followed up to ensure I had accuracy while scheduling. After telling them about the problem and its urgency, they made a way for us to come in same day. Not going to lie, we didn’t have insurance but they had a pretty cool coverage plan to last an entire year which is less than what I expected. The Dentists and the ENTIRE STAFF was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommended and we WILL be back.

Fantastic experience: Smileworks orthodontist has been an absolute joy to work with! I drive from Jacksonville , Florida to Tallahassee so that my autistic daughter can get her braces worked on. We first came to Smile works bc of Dr. Fernandez at the dentistry office. She just has the patience and ability to work with my autistic children. Dr. Fernandez is the ONLY reason I choose smileworks for my children. I give HER 5 stars. The entire orthodontist department gets 5 stars as well. The staff is incredibly patient and do everything they can to make my daughters experience comfortable and work with me to keep my daughter feeling safe in their hands and build a trusting relationship. ASD is difficult to navigate when things are “scary” for them, but smileworks orthodontist, Dr. Rodriguez and staff make the process a learning experience. My daughter is so happy to have her braces off! Her smile looks amazing! Thank you Dr. Fernandez for your recommendation to the orthodontist department and for the care of dentistry you provide. Fantastic experience: We visited yesterday for the first time. We had an amazing experience from check in to check out. Everyone was so friendly and made my child, my husband, and myself feel very welcomed. They take the time to make sure your child is comfortable and do an awesome job explaining things so they won’t be scared. They gave my child a balloon after the appointment was done. It flew away while outside and she got so sad. The Dr. himself came out and brought her a new one and told my husband he doesn’t like seeing kids upset. That right there speaks volumes! So much positive yesterday after a rough start at another office. We are proud to say SmileWorks is our child’s dentist! Thank you so much to all the staff for a great first visit.

Fantastic experience: This was my children’s first appointment. I let my children tell me if it’s a good fit for them and both my kids loved it here. The staff were very friendly. I didn’t have any trouble with check in, I deeply appreciated being allowed to come back with my kids, and a small detail that my kids enjoyed is that they were able to choose what movie or show they watched while getting service. Both of my kids dentists explained everything to me as well as their hygienists. I was very relaxed while my children received their service. Again this was our very first appointment so right now hoping nothing changes. Update: 2 weeks later and we had to go to the orthodontic building. Checking in was easy and they had already received our paperwork from the Peds side which I loved. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff were super friendly. My son was relaxed and staff was gentle with his teeth and mouth. The dr explained everything so I could understand and I wasn’t lost. Finance department explained everything as far as payments. I mean so far I just love it here.

Negative experience: I was called on my phone to tell me my son’s appointment was canceled at 7:30 for a 7:40 appointment. Then, they tell me I can still can take my son to the appointment and they will accommodate However, his cleaning is going to be cut short. And as my son was getting his teeth clean. I heard the other cleaning tech tell the family sitting next to us that they had a lot of cancels appointments that morning and they had additional time to do an extra treatment to the child next to us. And as we left the dentist recommended some tabs for his brushing (which he did not get). Final they charge me a fee and they do not tell me or give me a receipt. So Looking for new a dentist..better customer service

Fantastic experience: Excellent practice!!! I have been very impressed with everyone at Smileworks. Whether by phone or in person, everyone is kind and helpful from the moment you book your appointment to the time you check out. Although the initial consultation is free, it was very thorough, and Dr. Rodriguez explained his plan of care and answered all our questions. My son was very anxious when we came back to have his braces placed, but Sophie took the time to explain the whole process while she was working on him, making sure he was ok before moving on to the next step. This was very important to me since my son is on the spectrum and can get very anxious with dental work. Not only did she make him feel comfortable, he left smiling! The whole staff goes above and beyond to make sure patients have a positive experience. HIGHLY recommended!!!
