Fantastic experience: I took my child here for a dental visit, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we walked in, the environment was welcoming, colorful, and truly fun, my little one was actually excited to be at the dentist, which says a lot! The staff was absolutely amazing, so kind, patient, and genuinely great with kids. They explained everything in a way that was easy to understand and made my child feel safe and confident the whole time. You can really tell they care deeply about the families they serve. We had such a great time that my child asked when we could go back again! That’s a first for us when it comes to anything dental-related. Everything was so smooth and positive, it’s a rare thing to walk away from a dentist appointment with smiles all around, but that’s exactly what happened. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a dental office that blends professionalism with warmth and heart.

Negative experience: It feels odd to see so many good reviews when my experience was meh at best (they do text you to leave a review after every appointment). The super hero set up is fun but there is a lack of communication in the office. I’ve been to two appointments now with all four of my kids, I’ve called to give feedback to the office (because I’d rather let them fix it than write about it) but after speaking with the front desk staff they assured me the dentist would reach out, no one ever called back. The office paperwork has this whole clause about expectations of the guardians communicating openly and the staff committing to do the same…. But that doesn’t happen. My youngest daughter didn’t even get her teeth brushed at our last visit (she didn’t fight it, they never tried), I asked the dentist if she should get fluoride on her teeth and they said yes and then didn’t do it. Point is, even with speaking up about our dental experience nothing happened but I’m sure they billed our dental insurance for her visit…. We’re moving on to other offices. I hope they improve in their communication though. It’s not my first rodeo so I understand what dental care my children need, and this office doesn’t seem prepared to give it.

Fantastic experience: We love Dr Ken Handy! He is extremely personable and my daughter instantly liked him and chose him as her dentist. We moved and will dive 40 min to continue under his care. We have always liked Burg Children's Dentistry, and have felt comfortable with them from day one. We have been to several Burg Children's offices depending on where we lived, and we're comfortable with all of them. We have landed with the cottonwood heights location because Dr.Handy is here. We highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Totally cool staff! They were great and understanding. My daughter has really bad anxiety at the dentist and the hygienist was so cool. She talked her through everything she was gonna do before she did it and made her feel very comfortable and my daughter did very good. She had a decent time. We are excited this is our first time and we will be going back. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Sydney was great with my daughter. My daughter has a very small mouth and has always had a hard time getting xrays. Sydney was very patient and sweet and was able to get the first full set of xrays done on my daughter.

Positive experience: They’re great at figuring out insurance and the dentist is fun and helpful! They have a fun prize dispenser too. We haven’t had great experiences with the hygienists. They don’t talk at all to my little kids, explain what they’re doing, or make it less scary. It could’ve just been the same lady twice. and they have a $35 fee if you aren’t able to give notice to cancel the appointment. Which is just hard with small kids and random illnesses. I get why they do it but I know some places don’t.

Fantastic experience: We LOVE Burg Dentistry. They got us scheduled quickly(next day) for some concerns with my 16 month olds teeth. They were very patient with my wiggy one year old, and brought him cute little toys when he cried to cheer him up(that he got to keep! lol) While we were speaking with the office manager, the awesome front desk ladies played with our son, because you know, 1 year olds are go go go! I know it’s a pediatric dentist, but they go above and beyond to be child friendly. We will definitely be back for all future visits. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old son had a visit with Dr. Handy & Izzy today for an extraction and crowns. He is autistic and can become very anxious in new situations. There was absolutely no issues today! They put him at ease from the beginning and the whole experience was absolutely fantastic!

Fantastic experience: They always help my children feel at ease. I love the way the take care of us. Always a pleasure. They are kind and patient with my 6 children. We have been to so many dentists and they have been the best! It’s been years since we’ve been going to Berg in Cottonwood Heights. They’re great. They’re patient and aware of how children most successfully can finish a dentist appointment. I have taken 7 of my children there. We have been going for about 7 years. They all have been treated there and do so well. Even with their differing personalities somehow the people at Berg know to put them all at ease and get their teeth cleaned; Fillings done or what ever the procedure is that day Sierra is the best. Always helpful in calming my kids down. Unfortunately my kiddos have bad luck in the teeth department but Sierra went above and beyond today to help calm their nerves and to get their treatments done in a positive way.

My son has anxiety, especially with dental work. Burg was able to accommodate his needs to lessen his anxiousness. I'm grateful and will most definitely be taking my son back!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Knudson and his team is the best of the best. They are so kind, fun, and accommodating. We have been going here for years and all of my children love them. I’m sad my 18 has to start going to an adult dentist. We recently had a dental emergency the day we were leaving on a trip. They got my son in right away and fixed him all up. It was an amazing experience and we were so glad not to miss out trip. Thank you a million times over to the entire team. ❤️

Fantastic experience: I am in tears. I just arrived home after my twin 6 yr old boys w/level 3 autism and developmental delay first dentist appt. I was so worried how this would go as they have a lot of stress in new environments and have many behavioral quirks that come with their diagnosis. They were treated with so much dignity and respect. The patience and care that was taken to ensure they were comfortable and happy throughout the cost was amazing. They even got little prizes for that made the experience even more fun for them. An experience like this means so much to a mom who's children's are not always afforded such grace and kindness. I felt the need to share this experience for any other parent of children with autism to know they have some where to go.

Fantastic experience: Great experience. Had to take my 3yr old in for a scary fall that pushed back one of his front teeth. We got in the same day and had great care! Thankfully he’s okay. Then we went back for his cleaning and X-rays and he enjoyed it. They did great with keeping him engaged as he is 3, so he’s got a hard time sitting still. The appointment went quick and he left in a good mood both times. Excited to have found a new dentist for him!

Fantastic experience: Took my 2 year old here for his first dental check up and was very impressed. They went above and beyond to make sure that he had a positive experience, which was very important because he is terrible about letting people see his teeth, let alone brush them. We were put at ease right away and everyone was extremely friendly. They even gave him his first cape, which he wears around the house! I HIGHLY recommend!! Update: he is almost 4 now and he is not the most cooperative, but they are very patient and do their best to put my son at ease. Everyone is not just friendly, but genuinely care and it shows. Still highly recommend everyone at this practice!

Fantastic experience: Burg Children’s Dentistry is one of the few places my daughter looks forward to going to her appointments. The vibe in the office is relaxing and we always leave without any unanswered questions and with all the information we need to discuss at home before making a decision.

Fantastic experience: Been going to burg children's dentistry for a long time. The vine street is our main location and they do an amazing job. This week we went to the cottonwood location for work to be done due to had to get done as soon as possible (leaving town) and they were very professional and interactive with my son I would recommend both places!!

Fantastic experience: My 15 month old fell hard and chipped his front teeth on a granite coffee table- we were able to get a last minute appointment at this location to get him checked out and staff here could not have been kinder or more understanding. We are in town from Philadelphia and not existing patients of this practice but were taken care of and the out of pocket cost was incredibly reasonable. Dr Handy was thorough and kind to our already traumatized little one and reassuring but honest about our next steps.

Fantastic experience: The staff, nurses and dentists at Burg Childrens Dentistry & Orthodontics - Cottonwood Heights location - they are awesome, patient, understanding and kind. They genuinely care for my kids - always smiling, having cute conversations with them and most importantly, they take their time with each kid. The wait time is never long and the appointment goes by pretty fast. With consistent appointments, I can positively say that none of the kids have problems or cavities with their teeth. Also, my kids genuinely get excited to see the dentist! The fact that all four kids have no fears coming to this dentist speaks volumes.

Fantastic experience: My 2 year old had never been to the dentist. For the last couple weeks, I've been talking about the dentist and what they'll do at her appointment. She was so excited to finally go, and they were so good with her! The dental assistant showed her how the cleaning tool worked and how it felt on your fingers before putting it on her teeth. When her exam and cleaning was done she asked if she could do it again! They're amazing.

Negative experience: I feel bad for giving a low score because I think our hygienist was new but there was little to no interaction with the kids which is very disappointing considering they are at the dentist. Feedback to her would be to make the kids feel comfortable and have conversations with them.

Positive experience: My son struggles with the dentist but Lia did an amazing job making him feel comfortable. She was patient and allowed him to take breaks when he needed. She did a phenomenal job and helped make the visit much easier.

Fantastic experience: We just relocated and you know how hard it might be to find a great dentist office for the kiddos. When we called this place gave the best customer service which brought me to the. Then we we arrived they were also great. Lisa is very informative and great with the kids at Burg Children Dentistry. She answered every question with the best kind of customer service. Dr. Handy is also great with the kids and easy to communicate giving his patients the best treatment plans and customer service. We are happy that we found them and appreciate all their help and great service. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Amazing. Couldn't understand what all the hype was about Dentist vs Children's Dentistry. But after bringing my daughter here I now understand. They went the extra mile to help our daughter fill secure and comfortable. Dr Handy and Lisa and her bonded with her immediately .

Fantastic experience: My kids love it here, we have gone to the Cottonwood Heights location for years now. They love the staff, the Tvs in the ceiling, the tokens they get for the prize machine at the end. It is about as good as a trip to the dentist can get! They are great about getting you in quick if your kids are in pain, and also about explaining what's going on for your visit, not only to me the parent, but to my child, the patient. I have had my kids need to be go to the surgical center for anesthesia and they are equally great. Go here! They are awesome.

Fantastic experience: Our little one has been going to Burg's for several years and it's always been a great experience. The staff is great with kids and do a great job of communicating with kids and parents. Today, Sierra did an excellent job showing my daughter what she was seeing and explaining what she needed to do to take care of her teeth in a positive, encouraging, and age-appropriate way.

Fantastic experience: They were like a nascar pit crew We got in and done in under 30 minutes and the good doctor was engaging and charming with my son. Leah did an excellent job assisting and is well deserving of a raise Doc!

There are no tears and we've been going here for years. I'll never regret my choice to take my friends recommendation to go to them!!

Negative experience: The dental hygienists, and the receptionist were very friendly, and welcoming. The practice looked child friendly. My sons loved the capes. Unfortunately, I have no idea who the dentist was. It would have been nice if he could have introduced himself. Maybe I am spoiled from our experience with our former pediatric dentist, who was welcoming, friendly, and kept the parent informed. My twelve year old son noticed the dentist cut his interaction short, too.

Fantastic experience: Literally the best place ever!! My youngest would not get her pics done and one lady literally suprised with a toy and she gladly took the pictures. Let them clean her teeth. Fantastic experience: Burg dentistry continues to provide positive experiences for my children. Lia was the dental assistant who worked with my kids. She was so patient and took her time with them to help calm their nerves surrounding the dental equipment. The office is perfect for kids with the superhero theme they have. They are so organized and understand children. They tailor the experience to fit kids needs. We will definitely continue coming here.

Positive experience: We had a really unfortunate incident with Burg Dentistry. We got the reminder call about my child’s appointment, I will try to attach a screenshot of the voicemail stating that our appointment was at 3:30. I then received a call on the day of the appointment stating that we were late. I called back confused because it was 3:11 when I received that call. They told me that the appointment was for 3:00, I explained that the voicemail I received said 3:30. I told them my husband had to leave work early for this appointment and asked if my son could still go. They would have been there at 3:20. They said that we would need to reschedule and basically seemed like they didn’t believe me. I feel frustrated that they weren’t even the least bit apologetic. They could have at least offered to check if someone would be willing to stay late, or even just said sorry… Update: we talked with their staff and rescheduled. Everyone was extremely sweet and fun with my child. We will be going back! Misunderstandings happen, and we are just happy we got this all figured out. They even gave us a later appointment and scheduled it quickly!

Fantastic experience: Staff is great with the kids. Lia and Kate were so positive and kind. Fun friendly environment. After my daughter got her cavities filled she said she wanted to do it again. That says it all.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience here! Both of my boys were a nervous about it, and Lia was so great and explained everything to them and helped them feel comfortable. They also loved the masks and capes they got so they could be superheroes! The dentist was very kind and good with the boys. Great office!

Negative experience: Incredibly disappointing experience with them this morning. I called to cancel my toddler’s appointment because she woke up sick. I was told I’d be charged a $35 cancellation fee even though she was sick and I could walk upstairs today after her pediatrician saw her with proof of visit. Out of curiosity, I told the receptionist we’d just come in today to which she told me we couldn’t. Then after she told me we couldn’t come in I was still charged the $35. They clearly don’t want sick kids in the office yet are punishing the responsible parents keeping their kids out of their office. Unfortunately my child doesn’t give me 24 hour heads up when she’s going to get sick.

Fantastic experience: Always fast and easy. Both my kids have speech delay and you know just how to talk to them You help them understand what is going on! They both love going to get pictures of their teeth done! Thank you for making things not stressful, and fun!

Fantastic experience: We live kinda far, but it is worth the drive. My kids love this place. If I don't take them every 6 months, they ask when we are going back. Today the kids got some cavities filled and our assistant, Leah, was so amazing and gentle with my nervous son.

Fantastic experience: Burg Pediatric Dentistry is amazing. The Dentists have done great work, handling some major dental issues with my kids. The entire staff is friendly and always sure that my kids are comfortable. The facility is clean and of course kid friendly. They have been very clear with me on what my insurance will cover and what portion I will be responsible for, which happened to be about a third of the cost compared to the dental office where we got a first opinion.

Fantastic experience: Amazing !! Their interaction with my kids is spot on. They make them feel comfortable during something that could be so scary. Suri was sooo great with my daughter and explaining things on her level.

Fantastic experience: Burg Children's Dentistry's service was fantastic! Lia made us feel very comfortable, and eased my daughter's anxiousness. The dentist took the time to explain certain things to us. I would say the only critique I have is that when I offered my insurance card to the front desk, they said the back would take it. And when nobody asked for it in the back, I offered it again and our assistant was surprised the front desk didn't take it. So there seems to be a slight miscommunication inside the offce. Other than that, it was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be returning!

Fantastic experience: Every time we have gone my kids have had a good experience. Staff is great. My kids actually look forward to going to the dentist! Highly recommend. Lia and Suri were particularly great.
