Fantastic experience: My son used to love the dentist , untill he had a treatment. Getting him to come was hard. Today we had a routine cleaning and he was very nervous and scared that it was going to hurt. After meeting Casey, she made him very comfortable and gave him the confidence to get it done! She was super sweet and silly! She made his expierence fun again for him. He's already excited to come back again. Thank you Casey!

Fantastic experience: I bring both my kids to The Super Dentist and everyone here is super friendly, great with kids (as they should, being a pediatric dentist office) they are knowledgeable and always try their best to be accommodating.

Negative experience: Would NOT recommend this dentist. I brought all 4 of my kids here for the first time. My children go to the dentist every 6 months. Is it possible they could get a cavity absolutely. Although the previous dentist we went to before moving here had no previous concerns. Got here and we were told 3 of 4 of my kids had cavities. They also recommended all 4 of my kids need sealants /to reseal every tooth. Never have I heard of putting them on 3 and 4 year olds. We went for a second option and have been told there are no civilities at all and they don’t need sealants. We definitely won’t be going back.

Fantastic experience: Love the super dentist . It’s always so clean and fun. The staff are all amazing and very helpful .

Positive experience: We’ve visited this dental office three times now. During the first two visits, I noticed the space felt a bit cluttered and some small details were overlooked, but I didn’t think too much of it at the time. However, during our most recent visit, we had a longer wait in the waiting room. To help pass the time, I gave my kids some activities. One of them accidentally got a stamp on the chair, so I used a baby wipe to clean it — and the wipe came up black. I continued wiping the seat and was surprised by how much dirt came off with each layer. Looking around more closely, I noticed that the tablet stations and picture frames on the walls also had visible layers of dust and grime. This raised concerns for me, especially considering it’s a healthcare environment where cleanliness should be a top priority. Once we were called back, the hygienist greeted us wearing a mask, which understandably felt intimidating to my 3-year-old. She seemed visibly stressed, and my child picked up on that energy. She repeatedly referred to my son as “my friend,” which he politely corrected several times by saying, “You’re not my friend.” While some of the staff are kind and seem to genuinely enjoy their work, others appear unhappy or disengaged. For a pediatric dental office, cleanliness, child-friendly communication, and a warm environment are crucial. The state of the waiting room made me wonder whether the same standards are being applied to the dental tools and equipment. I believe some of the staff could also benefit from additional training on how to interact effectively with children of different ages.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Amir Shayesteh and Melissa are an AMAZING solid team. While the whole clinic is friendly and efficient, these two communicate well to provide care above and beyond.

Negative experience: Worst dentist office ever! Do not go there. We had a referral because my two kids needed a few fillings and our regular dentist thought they'd do better with the calming gas provided. We showed up for our appointment to do the fillings, and we're told they couldn't do fillings without X-rays and a consult. Even though we had just done both at our regular dentist and had all the paperwork to show what work needed to be done. So we had to redo these things AND pay for them again AND was told they wouldn't have time to do the fillings, even though that's specifically the type of appointment I made. Time and money wasted. It gets worse... The work they wanted to do on my 8year old was insane! They wanted to take a few cavities and instead of fillings, they turned it into thousands of dollars of more extensive work. There was no way I was going to put her through several major root canals and multi-side fillings on baby teeth. They were completely overestimating the work needed. She only needed a few normal fillings according to our regular dentist. So, it was bad on several levels. The opposite of a "conservative pediatric dentist." They also made me think that she desperately needed sealants painted on other molar teeth to prevent future cavities, basically used scare tactics to make me think it was needed immediately. Later I learned none of this was needed and I spent a lot of money out of pocket because insurance wouldn't cover it. I could go on and on, but seriously, we had an appointment and yet spent hours there, and never received the fillings which was the entire point of the appointment. They charge obscene amounts on unnecessary treatments, didn't do the needed work, wanted to do extensive work that was uncalled for.... I refused to return, when we returned to our regular dentist she was shocked that they made us go through additional xrays, consults, recommended massive work done.... I completely regret giving them our time and money. I'm thankful I didn't let them do the unnecessary procedures. It felt like a scam. Don't go, you'll regret it! The only good thing about this place was the waiting room is very fun for kids.

Negative experience: My experience here was awful. I would give a zero star, but I had to give it one to write a review. My son had work done on his teeth for years at this dentist. Never had a problem until October 2024. He was in for regular checkups as request by Super Dentist. We had some work done that cost (after insurance) 469 dollars. I payed my bill via credit card. Now months later, they harass me with overdue notices, stating I did not pay my debt. I have sent them numerous photocopied billing receipts from my credit card proving I payed my bill. The letters continue to pour in. N Keri is the transaction. This is Super Dentist! They are one and the same. I hope they don’t take advantage of any of you planning to use them. Nothing worse than to pay a bill and then be told you didn’t. I wouldn’t recommend Super Dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: We had such a positive experience. From the moment we arrived, everyone was kind, professional, and incredibly thorough. What really stood out to me was how much time the orthodontist took to explain everything clearly and patiently he didn’t rush us and made sure we understood all of our options. I also really appreciated his honesty and the care he showed in starting the process to help my daughter. It’s clear he truly cares about his patients and wants what’s best for them. We left feeling informed, supported, and confident in moving forward with treatment.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly and overall a good experience

Positive experience: Giving three stars because the first appointment with my older son went smoothly. I scheduled a new patient visit for my younger son and had to reschedule so informed the staff and confirmed cancellation. Received repetitive emails from staff informing me to confirm the appointment I had already cancelled! I rescheduled the appointment for the following Saturday and day of the appointment I get a call to confirm my insurance as I’m minutes from heading into the office. I provided the staff with the information in which they told me his insurance was not active. Two weeks later called and made an appointment and requested the assistant to verify the insurance prior in which she confirmed it was active. Fast forward to day of appointment, June 4, scheduled for 5PM but after 30 minutes of waiting, I head to the front desk and inform them of the wait. She goes to the back for a moment and then states she can seat us now, in which we wait another 7 minutes for a dental assistant to assist us. Overall, this company has potential and a great, friendly staff BUT they need to work on the scheduling conflicts. It appears the communication is lacking between the company and the online booking system which causes issues with overbooking! It is now 5:52 and we are still waiting for a consultation before we can proceed with the anticipated cleaning. Please fix this issue!

Negative experience: I’m at a loss for words. Our initial appointment was for a cleaning and a cavity checkup. They informed me that they’re splitting my daughter’s appointments into three visits to make them more manageable for her, considering she’s only two. We returned a week later for the first set of cavities. We waited over an hour, which was understandable since they send out texts or emails about long wait times. They also advise against eating two hours beforehand. Upon returning to the room, we were informed that we had to wait another 45 minutes. Once my daughter was settled in the chair and the dentist began working on her, I noticed that they had increased the nitrous oxide and hadn’t numbed her mouth with the local aesthetic. I assumed nothing of it since her appointments were now spread out over three visits. I also assumed that since the area they were working on was not particularly sensitive, she didn’t need local anesthesia. To my surprise, they ended up performing all three appointments in one setting, without my knowledge! My daughter was in excruciating pain, crying, and even threw up and peed herself. Despite her discomfort, they didn’t remove everything from her mouth when she vomited. They cleaned her up as best they could and continued working on her. My two-year-old daughter was NOT completely numb and felt everything. She had nightmares for a whole week after the incident. It broke my heart, and I will never recommend or return to this dental practice. On a separate note, after her appointment, we went to check out. I noticed that they were trying to charge me for local anesthesia, which they hadn’t used, and they even informed me that they didn’t use it after her appointment.

Fantastic experience: We recommend Melissa! She is super calm friendly, great attitude towards kids! My daughter Isabella likes her so much! We got excited when Melissa called us for our turn. Yey! Thank you friend!!!

Negative experience: We had a 5:00 PM appointment and didn’t get called in until 5:45, and even then, we had to wait longer for the dental assistant. The staff was friendly, but the scheduling definitely needs improvement. I understand short delays happen, and I wouldn’t mind waiting 10–15 minutes, but a 45-minute wait is excessive. I hope the office can work on better time management moving forward.

Negative experience: My four year old was getting a couple cavities filled and received the numbing medication through the gums. She handled it really well despite it being uncomfortable. However, when they asked her if she could still feel it, she said yes. They basically said she wasn’t sure what she was feeling and she probably couldn’t feel it. She kept telling them she could feel it and was crying in excruciating pain. They said they couldn’t stop or do anything about it. She had been to dentists before and never had an experience like this. She had to get 2 cavities filled while screaming crying and in pain. Her and I are both completely traumatized tbh. We will NEVER go back here again. Also, my son got work done there and afterwards had had terrible breathe since. Like rotten eggs. I tried bringing up my concerns about it and the dentist didn’t care at all or look into it. She basically said I shouldn’t be concerned because he is a kid and it’s normal. I do not like feeling like my concerns or my children’s concerns are taken seriously.

Fantastic experience: Very fast, very informative got you in got you out but told you what was going on what was gonna happen and they got their job done then we were out of there within a reasonable time very friendly atmosphere and that’s good to have

Fantastic experience: Great service and environment. The staff does a great job of assuaging the fear and making the kids feel safe and comfortable! It can be a little busy, but after seeing the service first hand, that totally makes sense.

Negative experience: I had an appointment at 8am got here at 7:45 and it’s about to be 9 without being sing yet. 3rd time here and every time it’s the same. If my appointment it’s at 8 I should be out by 9 this place it’s ridiculous

Fantastic experience: The staff were friendly and they had a very kid friendly environment. Face painting and temporary tattoos for the kids in the lobby. The assistant and doctor were efficient and kind.

Positive experience: This office has zero consideration for your time and doesn’t know how to maintain a schedule. We are consistently waiting 1hour + past appointment times. What’s the point of appointments if you can’t even remotely stay on schedule. Maybe stop scheduling so many people at one time so you can remain on time. Treatments are always fine and everyone is nice enough but there is zero awareness or care of patients schedules

Negative experience: I previously lived in San Diego and went to the caramel valley location and I was happy there. We just moved back and are closest to the Oceanside location. This place has turned into a money grab. It’s all upsell and adding on things without explaining or checking first. They want to add every dollar possible to their services no matter the care needed or best interest of the patient. If you choose this dentist, pay very close attention to your quotes and every single thing they are trying to charge you for before you let them treat your children.

Fantastic experience: Doctor Amir Shayesteh is an amazing ortho dentist who helps my son with his teeth and takes his time to explain how my son should do everything. He is very kind along with all the other staff at super dentist Oceanside

Negative experience: The only reason they are getting one star is because I can’t give them 0 stars. EVERY SINGLE appointment my child has had they are running behind 45mins to an hour. They don’t send a txt or a phone call to let me know ahead of time. It’s extremely inconvenient and a waste of our time. Will no longer be coming here.

Negative experience: I took my one-year-old son here to get his teeth checked. Due to him teething bad they only spent about 8 minutes checking him. Trying to get an X-ray of his mouth but couldn't cause he was scareds barely tried and “ said o well I tried “. Didn't have a toothbrush for a cleaning just to charge my insurance 600$ to say they did a full X-ray and gave me supplies. Wouldn't recommend this place or just keep a closer eye on what they do/charge.

Fantastic experience: Overall pretty good very friendly staff and they're fast and efficient and they do things effectively while making fun they also give out drawing ans they even did face paint today fantastic service

Fantastic experience: Took my kid for the first time to a dentist appointment and I couldn’t be happier about my choice to bring my kid here. Exceptionally kind and caring staff especially the young lady melo-d, she made my child feel really safe and secure and my kid had a lot of fun with her :) face paint was his favorite part out of the various fun activities they had!!! Definitely coming back

Negative experience: This place is a scam. They told me my son needed 4 crowns. When I disagreed silently, I went to another dentist. I did not tell the new dentist any of this. When the new dentist diagnosed my son, there was no mention of any crowns needed. This place takes advantage of people for insurance and puts unnecessary risks and procedures for young children. Think twice before you choose this place.

Fantastic experience: Love the Super Dentist. All the staff is so nice. Melody is great and very helpful. Never had a bad experience and my kids love it here. Love that they are able to collect points that allow kids to get gifts

Fantastic experience: Construction had the little one concern but he felt more at ease once they told him he was only getting X-rays and teeth cleaning

Negative experience: Where do I start? First visit there and the line to check in was out the door. Which is insane for a dentist office. We finally get in and the waiting area while decorated nicely and set up for kids, was so tiny and crowded. It was hot and stuffy in there. No place to sit. A bunch of kids running around playing with the toys. Barely any place to even stand and wait. They clearly overbook people for money because we weren't seen until an hour and some after our appointment time. And it was very rushed and pointless. They did a weak attempt to clean my son's teeth and a quick glance at them and said he was fine. Didn't even give us a chance to ask questions really. Such a waste of time and money. My son also got sick from here. We're sure it's from playing with the toys as they weren't clean and I doubt being sanitized with how packed it was. We knew we would never return to this dentist office so didn't make another appointment. But I keep getting harassed with texts and emails reminding me of his upcoming appointment that I never made. I even unsubscribed. Yet I still get them. My spam is filled with their emails. I'd steer clear of this place.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at the Super Dentist! Melody, the super dentist fairy for this location was delightful! We had a lovely conversation and she made my day with her sweet compliments. I know if I loved her, your little ones will too.

Fantastic experience: Cassandra at The Super Dentist Oceanside is the best. She made my son feel comfortable from the moment he walked in the room. She also answered all my questions and eased my mind. Dr. Alice was great too. She talked to my son the entire time making him feel brave for the entire procedure.

Fantastic experience: They are always friendly and helpful. My kids love it here and they are gentle.. Melo-D was so great with my baby and my 11 year old. My girls loved the face paint and stickers. She kept my baby smiling.

Positive experience: Dealing with the scheduling team is a nightmare. We were scheduled for 2:30 on our first visit for treatment and after getting an infinite number of reminders on the day of I get a text saying two o'clock. So I call the office and the receptionist there acts like I'm suppose to know they only schedule treatments on the hour mark (keep in mind I have emails to prove my treatment appointment was scheduled for 2:30). Today we walked in for our scheduled treatment appointment (scheduled 2 weeks ago) and our appointment apparently never made. They offered to see us but there would be a wait. I woke up both of my kids to make the "appointment " on time, the fact that our time isn't valued annoyed me. I told them I would reschedule but we are honestly going to look for a different office. My husband has to completely change his work schedule for this and the whole guessing game on when you're appointment is and when you will be seen is not something I'm a fan of. The actual dentists are great but they need to look at their first tier staff and make some changes.

Fantastic experience: Melissa in Ortho was amazing with my son. She was patient and walking him through the process of putting on his braces. We need more people like Melissa!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my kids here for about 5 years. I’ve never had the urge to right a review until now! We visited yesterday and it was our best experience yet. My kids are still raving about their dental assistant Jorge! He really connected with my kids and made it a really pleasant experience for them (and me)! My oldest son has always had a big fear of the dentist and for the FIRST time yesterday, he let his guard down because of how comfortable he was with Jorge. Overall 10/10 experience. Special shout out to the Tooth Kerri as well for giving my kids some cool little prizes! :)

Fantastic experience: Staff was cordial and really patient. Dealing with kids can be tricky but they really know how to make them comfortable. Waiting room is set up for kids with games and entertainment system. My son is always excited to go.

All of the staff are friendly, professional, and good at what they do. 10/10 experience! - - - - - - - - Even with Covid and managing tons of kids every day, the Super Dentists always have it together. Nancy in Oceanside did my son's cleaning recently and he has never been so comfortable at the dentist. Excited to start orthodontia there as well!

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but the best experience at this dentist. All the assistants and dentist are great and do really well with my daughter. They are friendly and go above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable! Cassie, the assistant we had was soooo sweet and made our visit so enjoyable.

Negative experience: If you care about your kids, do not come here. We came for the teeth cleaning and the exam. They told us my kid needs 8 crowns because her cavities are too big. They did an X-ray and it was so blurry, I could barely see anything. Did not explain any procedure. When I asked questions they looked at me like I was a trash. So, we went into a different clinic and it turned out my kid doesn't need any crown and only has 3 cavities. Comparing those two clinics I can tell that a super dentist is very unsanitary, all tools just sitting on the counter who knows maybe they have been used on previous patients because usually I see when dentists open a sealed package with tools. Their staff looks very unprofessional starting with the receptionists who can't find your appointment for 10 min. Our new doctor told us that my kid's tooth looks like she hasn't done a cleaning for several months.

Fantastic experience: super awesome staff. they sanitize everything. great for kids. tvs on ceilings and they're extremely nice and helpful. especially appreciate the way they treat me going as an adult (always wanted to come as a kid). awesome play waiting room. coloring. tvs. puzzles and learning games and fun ones. they make sure everyone is okay and comfortable. superheroes. really excited to go every time and I am happy to have them as my new dentist place. The Super Dentists have their own movie. it's pretty cool. It is okay for adult kids to go too.

Fantastic experience: Very excellent customer services. From Armando today placing in my sons spacer & made my son feel at ease as he always tends to get nervous. Love how Armando explained everything to him! The whole team is amazing here.

Fantastic experience: I have taken my two kids to the Super Dentist for routine dental care and orthodontics for almost two years. Every visit has been great and I am always very happy with the excellent care and service we receive. Today my second kid got braces and we had an awesome experience. Dr. Amir, and his team made my daughter feel very comfortable and helped ease her nerves. While we were waiting I asked if they could see my other child who was scheduled for an orthodontist checkup just a few days later. Frank was so kind and gracious and said he could make room for her to be seen right away. He made her feel comfortable and special as well. It was a huge help that they fit in both of my kids together. Dr. Amir, Dr. Laura and the entire team at the Oceanside office are always so friendly and caring. My family is extremely happy with our decision to bring our kids to the Super Dentist!

Fantastic experience: Loved that all (3) kids are seen at the same time, the staff is amazing, super nice, great with kids. I loved that they explained what was going on with all my children. Loved the themed rooms and the televisions on the wall and the ceiling for the kiddos!!

Fantastic experience: The place was very nice and cleaned. Rafael was a pro at communicating with my kids and reassured them that everything was going to be fine. The staff was also very friendly. Highly recommend this dental facility to all.

Positive experience: The wait is insane, the waiting rooms are packed with nowhere to sit, and even though it's supposed to be for kids, they never have any of their tvs turned on or their game stations working. We had to wait 40 minutes for our appointment after checking in and being told it would be on time (we checked before we came in because my son has special needs and cannot sit for long). Luckily for us, as I tried to leave they called us back. The 3 stars is only for the dental assistant who was great with my kiddos. The front desk was severely lacking in information of any kind. They don't even give out a bag with toothpaste or anything. They just send you home with a cheap toothbrush. I've heard amazing things about Peak Pediatrics and will be taking my kids there instead.

Fantastic experience: Overall a great place for kids. All the staff are friendly and sensitive to the littles. They spend extra time explaining things to my little girl so she feels secure and comfortable. I appreciate the attentiveness of the staff in ensuring everyone is aware of what is going on and explaining procedures throughout so there are no questions or confusion. My daughter looks forward to her visits.

Negative experience: Super bad experience. I recently moved to Vista, CA. I selected this office due to their good reviews. First of all, I was not greeted with a smile at the front desk, but thats ok. The dental assistant that was working with my son was not very nice either. I did not appreciate my son getting wet when she was brushing his teeth, I had to fix his paper bib, etc. I did not feel welcomed and the dentist maybe spent 3 minutes looking at my son's teeth. The only person that seems to enjoy her job was the super woman that entertains the children. Needless to say I wont be coming back to this dental office, I will keep taking my son to his usual dentist in Chula Vista.

Fantastic experience: This place is incredible! My very anxious babes calmed down within 5 minutes when they got to play the electronic battle ship game in the waiting room - that resembles a theme park! The decorations are incredible, free coffee and tea and water! The ENTIRE staff has been wonderful to work with setting up the appointments, the paperwork and insurance. Seriously the most positive dentist experience I’ve ever had, and my kids!!!

Fantastic experience: First visit here with my five year old daughter. The waiting room is full of stuff for kids and my daughter enjoyed reading the books. Once we got back to the treatment room, the dental assistant was very friendly, efficient, and put my daughter at ease. Very positive experience, we will be back.

Positive experience: The kids love visits here! Possibly entirely due to the TVs. But our visits are super smooth. Over many years and 3 kids, we've had some minor inconveniences with appointments being rescheduled and reminder messages being inaccurate, but they mostly get it right!

Fantastic experience: We have been going to the Super Dentists for over a year now. The first time I went Raphael put my then 4 and 2 year old at ease and made sure they knew what step was next. This time I brought my now 3 year old and 1year old, we had Raphael again my daughter remembered him and again he made the process so simple and stress-free. My 1 year old had his first dental appointment and he did so well.

Fantastic experience: My 6 year old is calmed by the multiple view TV's with her personal selection of cartoons. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to the little ones anxieties.
