Negative experience: Let me just start here. It was a late night. I had an Emergency Dental with my son who had impacted wisdom teeth and needed to get it out, and it was infected this place when we called did say that they did take our insurance which now looking back, I wish that I would have looked online myself and looked at every single detail because what happened next is the only reason I would not recommend this place to anybody without You yourself doing the insurance verification first call first to your insurance and make sure you are in network I’m not saying this place was great. The service is great. The girls are great. The Dentist was great. OK I’m not saying anything bad on that part. The only thing bad I’m saying about this place that we went. If you don’t check yourself, you’re gonna be up the creek without a paddle and it’s gonna be months and months of a battle back-and-forth between you and your Dentist Insurance, and of course Jayda’s wonderful and try to help me as well but my insurance and then just kept telling me that it was their fault because they did not see that I’m not covered at work so in a way it’s my fault because I didn’t check myself, but I just don’t want this to happen to anybody else so 10 out of 10 service 10 out of 10 everybody in there but make sure you do your homework go online with your insurance put in their name and ask the doctor‘s name and make sure you are covered because if not, you’re gonna be paying 2200 out your pocket that night and only get 300 and something back like we did, I would love to give you guys more stars, but I can’t just for the fact that I didn’t get my money back like I was supposed to like you guys promise so sorry for that.

Fantastic experience: This place literally amazing!! My husband experiencing severe tooth pain they got us in quickly and catered to all his needs! He has bad anxiety with dentist and they were able to make him comfortable through it all and put him on iv sedation and got him treated with teeth extractions and now no more pain! Also everyone there is so sweet, caring, wonderful! Jada, Alice, Dr.Nye and Bob are the best and glad we got the experience we got cause of them!!

Fantastic experience: I wasn’t doing well during my sisters procedure and was about to pass out the workers gave me water and a wet rag for my forehead and I immediately felt better. The doctor was amazing and all the support was absolutely amazing I will be back for cleaning and whatever I need! Alice was absolutely perfect and very sweet :)

Negative experience: today i visit dental emergency of salt lake city the staff members were very helpful and friendly the vibes were great specially the front desk lady named Saylor who help me a lot with payment plan and other information i needed the doctor was also nice and friendly, i really liked them i'll definitely come back for my other treatment for sure here

Positive experience: Saylor was great but the prices here are crazy. Furthermore they are not at all transparent about pricing before you are $165 down for xrays and a consult, and xrays and a consult took an hour. (40min waiting, 20min procedures)

Negative experience: I got very ripped off at this place because they took my dental insurance card and let me to believe that I would get the lowest contracted rate but then proceeded to mark up my bill substantially for both a crown and a root canal. They say I signed a form that was very confusing and made me sign it when I was in my highest amount of pain. And they said that just because I presented my insurance card, it does not mean that I would get a in-network contracted rate. When I complained, they told me to pound sand and would not lower the price to a more reasonable rate. I hope you don't need any work on your heart, because this place does not have one

Negative experience: I contacted this emergency dental for an emergency on a Saturday. Appointment was at one, but Dentist didn’t arrive on the property till 2 o’clock. I guess my time is of no value to the Dentist!! I made it very clear to the staff that I had been to my dentist And I was there for an extraction. I was shocked. I’m sitting in the chair while they’re dragging out this hour my pain level is through the roof as well as my anxiety. The Dentist finally arrives just to look at my x-rays and tell me all the extra dental work I need and that he can do some of it at this time. I told him no twice and that I just wanted the extraction. I was very clear before I even got to the appointment. He finally said he would put a plan together and be right back. A plan for what! Then the gal with the nose jewelry comes back in to tell me we’re doing surgery and we need to do a bone graft. She’s talking to me like I’m stupid and keeps telling me that we have to do the bone graft or I will have a hole in my sinuses. I’m not stupid young lady. I know how this all works. They were very persistent on wanting to do the bone graft at this point do they really think I’m gonna let them touch me. all they seem to care about is their bottom dollar. I get it. You’re running a business, but don’t offer Emergency extractions if you are not going to listen to your customers, shame on you.

While we understand that any wait during an emergency situation can feel long, our records show you were brought back fairly quickly and were in the chair for about 20 minutes. During that time, we began discussing your treatment options, including a bone graft recommendation based on your specific needs. However, the conversation ended before we had the chance to fully explain the reasoning behind the recommendation or review pricing with you.
We never want any patient to feel rushed or unheard, and we’re sorry we didn’t get the opportunity to address your concerns before you left. If you’d like to continue the conversation or have any follow-up questions, we’d be happy to speak with you directly.

Negative experience: I would completely skip this place. They sound nice over the phone, but when you show up they don't even have the decency to unlock the locked door and let you in their office. I had an appointment at 3 pm today. They are supposedly open until 9pm. Well, when I got there there was not even one car in their parking lot. Not even one. No sign that says that they take emergency appointments at all. I thought I must be in the wrong place, I was maybe 15 min late. Not sure. I was so sure that I was at the wrong place because both of their doors were locked up tight. Looked like no one was inside. No one was outside. NO SIGN saying they were for emergency dental care. I called a few places found out that yes in fact I was at the correct place. Really weird, because there were no cars. Where do the dentists even park?? I finally called and got this woman who said she would send someone out to open the door. She did not send anyone out. I called about 8 min later. Saying that no one has come out. She said sorry, I will ask again. Well, she obviously did not. I waited close to 20 min in my hot car. Saw that no one was approaching the locked door. There was a sign that said staff and no patients allowed thru this door. That was pretty confusing. No one came to the door after over 30 min. I guess they thought it was funny or something to just leave me out in 95 degree weather in the heat and completely ignore me. They charge you a minimum of $165 right off the top. Which is probably reasonable considering they are there on a Saturday. But if they won't unlock their door and actually let you in. What good is that?? So don't waste you time. Unless you know know someone there that won't keep you locked outside on a very, very hot Saturday. I will never waste my time going back. Perhaps they only really accept known patients? They shouldn't advertise that they are open till 9 pm on a Saturday and then leave you locked outside in the heat. Makes absolutely no sense to me at all. I would skip this one and go someplace else if you are having a painful dental issue and want to actually be seen by anyone. Why lock both doors if you are open???Can anyone answer that?? Really odd and bad business. I can think of no good explanation as to why they would intentionally keep me locked out in the heat. Maybe someone there could explain to me why?? I am seeing not so great reviews about them on Yelp as well. Go ahead and skip this place, they are not interested in your business. They only got 2 stars on a yelp review, that I just looked at. Really rude. I need to remember to read reviews of places before I drive out and waste both my gas and my time.
Fantastic experience: Had a great experience here! Jada was super friendly and nice — she talked with us the whole time and made everything feel easy and relaxed. Alice was really comforting during the procedure and made sure my mom felt okay the whole time. Both of them were so sweet and made the experience way better than I expected. Thank you! I interacted mostly with Jada and Nate, who very super friendly and accommodating, but all the staff were great. The facility was super clean and nice and we were not there long at all. Negative experience: Was flat out scammed here.They clearly told me my appointment was for a simple cleaning but when I arrived they started doing something entirely different. They never said what they were doing nor the price until afterwards. They then proceeded to charge me over $1600 for something that should've been covered under what was agreed upon.

Negative experience: Had a filling done on my front tooth about three weeks ago. It already fell off called to see if they could fix it and the dentist would not. He told me it’s because the filling is not supposed to be permanent. I understand that but it still should last longer than three weeks. They wanted to recharge me another $400 to fill the tooth that is ridiculous. And it goes to show that they don’t wanna help their patients so just want everyone know if any of your stuff falls out you will be recharged just like I would’ve been but I chose to go somewhere else since they wouldn’t help me

Fantastic experience: Office was amazing, extremely helpful front desk. I have a lot of dental anxiety and have a lot of bad dental experiences, but the dentist, Dr Nye, was great and patient and very good techniques for dealing with anxious patients, not a lot of dentists do. The whole staff was great to work with.

Fantastic experience: I was in a rough spot with an exposed nerve. They were incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Probably the most personable medical group I’ve ever encountered. The work was really fast and professional. During the process there was a lot of attention to detail. More than I’ve experienced at other places. Excluding the nuances of the situation I entered the office with, this was probably the best dental experience I’ve had.

Fantastic experience: Got my husband in right away on a Saturday night. Unfortunately he needed extraction and bridge. Jada and Nate were amazing and helping my husband feel as at ease as possible and took the time to explain the procedure options in detail, answer all our questions without making us feel like a burden, and worked out a payment plan with CareCredit. The procedure was much faster than we expected! The only things I think could be improved is offering more detail on the phone during the initial call clarifying the insurance stipulations when asked so we were more prepared when we got there.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to the dentist in years and had a lot of teeth that were broken, I felt so much shame about this that it literally froze me in place and I couldn't bring myself to deal with it for years! As soon as I walked into Emergency Dental I felt better. Jada instantly knew what I was feeling and helped calm my fears so quickly. She was with me every step of the way and so kind and caring throughout. If you have something scary to deal with, or if you've ever had a bad experience at the dentist, this is the place to go. Everyone you meet here will treat you with kindness and make you feel so taken care of, while also making you laugh. Nate and Saylor are so good at making you feel comfortable and welcome, it's a place you'll look forward to just because of the people who work there. Saylor has made every aspect of working with Emergency Dental so amazing and I just adore her so much. Dr. Bateman is the absolute best dentist I have ever been to, he is so quick and so efficient it's an experience that doesn't feel as scary as it might otherwise because you know you're safe and in good hands right from the start. They will also help you with the process of securing financing if that's something you need. I really couldn't recommend Emergency Dental more, they changed the way I feel about going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Walked in on a Sunday with a toothache. They got me in without an appt for a needed root canal. Everyone was so nice, understanding. Got me fixed up and on my way. I had no pain after the numbing wore off. Dr Nye did an excellent job

Fantastic experience: Best dental experience I’ve ever had. I had an issue from when I had my wisdom teeth removed back in 2011 they fixed it right up with a laser treatment when all the other dentists told me to just brush my teeth and deal with the pain. They also just extracted my tooth and I’m no longer in pain. They are quick, great and work with you to get you the relief you need. Best dentist I’ve found since I moved to Utah

Fantastic experience: Shanti and Dr.Nye helped me put a new crown on one of my front left teeth. It was mostly gone but they were able to keep the upper part of the tooth intact. Pain management was exceptional with some minor discomfort, but they gave me more pain meds as needed. The doctor did a wonderful job on my tooth and hopes to correct it a little more on our next visit. Thank you for saving my tooth.

Fantastic experience: No one likes an emergency root canal, so when we found out my fiancé had to do TWO emergency root canals you already we were not happy. However, this place made the experience 10000x more bearable. Saylor and Jada were who we worked with and they were so cute, so fun, and helped us feel more laid back about the whole thing. 10/10 would recommend.
