Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient for over 30 years. The care is excellent, the staff is always professional and friendly, at this point , they feel like family. Always greeted by name as I walk in. I started bringing my daughters as children and at 34 and 37 year old this is their dentist as well. They don’t take my insurance but as they say “ you get what you pay for”. I get excellent care and it’s worth every penny!!!

Fantastic experience: Did a same day walk in for an emergency and preferred dental was so helpful and solved my problem quickly. Staff are friendly and the dentists are very professional. It’s easy to see that they have a good operation running here. They also share plenty of information you’d need to take care of your teeth. I still came with only very little hesitation because of my loyalty to my family dentist of 35 + years . After being warmly greeted by Rim & and as a result of being totally attended to by Carmen attentively , thoroughly diagnosed by Dr. Tucker and more importantly fully explained to in depth all entailed then expressing my experience to Romeo with a follow-up sit down by Stacey Persaud . I have enthusiastically agreed to return 7/3/25 to follow all of Dr.Tucker’s recommendations for a program with my teeth . All previously mentioned were consummate professionals in their respective roles . What a great team !!!! I highly recommend this practice to everyone . Thank you Preferred Dental Care Team !

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist. All of staff is so friendly and sweet. Even the doctors are so caring. I brought my mom her for dentures while she was receiving Chemo and I explained to them about her anxiety of being outside and they were so sweet to her and understanding. Fantastic experience: I LOVE PREFERRED DENTAL CARE I came in today and they were able to verify my insurance the same day. They were so patient with me when I was trying to get the information needed. Thank you so much to Stacey, Rim, and Jelissa for your help. Keith was an excellent hygienist. He was very very good, very gentle and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire thing.

Negative experience: I had an extremely terrible experience with Preferred Dental. I scheduled a routine cleaning appointment and was never informed over the phone that an X-ray would be mandatory before receiving the cleaning. Had I been told that in advance, I would have declined the appointment altogether. When I arrived—after working a full night shift, exhausted but committed to keeping my appointment—I was told I must take an X-ray before the cleaning. I explained that I do not wish to take the X-ray and was willing to sign a declination form, but the staff still refused to proceed without the X-ray. I was literally being forced to do an X-ray. This is a clear disregard for patient autonomy and informed consent. Not only was this a complete waste of my time, but the lack of transparency and flexibility is unacceptable. I left without being seen and with nothing accomplished, despite making the effort to show up after a long night of work. This practice is obviously designed to bill insurance rather than prioritize patient care. I strongly do not recommend Preferred Dental and will not be returning.
Fantastic experience: Everything was great. Great service, definitely. The office is very clean. Everyone was very nice. They decorate the office very very nicely. The doctor and dental assistant explained everything, really took time to do so. I really appreciate how welcoming everyone was. They make such an effort to make sure that you are comfortable. Will definitely be returning.

Negative experience: DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE AN ANXIOUS PATIENT!!! The experience I had here was traumatizing and unprofessional. I’m terrified of dentists and chose this office because it seemed to cater to anxious patients and had astounding reviews. I was explicitly told by two dentists that nitrous oxide / laughing gas would be available for my molar extraction - a key reason I chose this practice since that is a necessity for me as an anxious patient. However, on the day of the procedure, I was suddenly told it couldn’t be used due to “physical constraints posed by the nasal cannula,” a vague explanation that left me confused and completely unprepared. Moments after the traumatizing procedure, gauze still in my mouth, the dental assistant asked if I could leave a 5 star review on Google. Now all the “astounding” reviews make sense. I reached out to them absolutely distraught and wanted the situation reconciled. Instead, I felt gaslit. They would not offer financial compensation in any way (the reason I had my procedure here in the first place was because they said I could have sedation), and instead, they defended their actions by saying they gave me headphones. Yes, you’re reading that correctly. Apparently, jazz music is a replacement for sedation at this practice. I understand that mistakes and miscommunication can happen, but refusing to offer any form of reimbursement or meaningful resolution for failing to deliver what was promised to a patient shows a complete disregard for accountability and patient trust.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Preferred Dental for over 25 years. The dental care my family and I have received over the years has been 5 stars! Today I met with Dr Hourizadeh and she's amazing. Kind, gentle and thorough. Keith was my hygienist and he was professional, kind and left my teeth feeling clean and fabulous. Staff is very helpful in reviewing future work, sending to insurance for authorization and working out the financial part so you don't feel overwhelmed. My orthodontist had such an abundance of knowledge and current relevant experience to make a well informed decision and plan for the future health of my smile. Fantastic experience: The best dental experience I've ever had. They are fast, friendly, clean, and through. I've recently been to several other dental practices in New York and they don't come close. They left me feeling they needed money and recommended things I actually didn't need. Not the case with Preferred Dental. They are also high tech and as a result, nothing is missed. No minor inconveniences or discomfort. I highly recommend them.
