Fantastic experience: As I was looking for a new dental office. I went to Avanta dental to get info and take a look at office. The office is very nice and clean. One particular receptionist ERICA was very welcoming and smiled the whole time I was asking questions. She was very nice and extremely helpful with all the questions I had. She gave me very helpful information with scheduling, office hours and said the doctors are extremely nice. I have referred several family members and friends to Avanta. Fantastic experience: Dr. Elperin is a skilled and considerate dentist who promotes an office environment of quality over quantity. All dental assistants are friendly and personable. One DA (Val) even offered me a blanket during an appointment. Office staff (Kaiya Financial coordinator) and office manager (Belen) are on point. They have really gone above and beyond on several occasions.Erica has been the friendly voice on the other end of the phone and the smiling face that greets me at the Yakima office on more than a few ocassions.

Fantastic experience: I went to Avanta back in 2019, went with another doc instead. I regret that decision. Today I went back to them and they pointed out several issues that I need to address. Doctor Igor was very thoughtful, thorough and pointed out to me with photos they took via their high technology Instruments of what I needed to address immediately and in the future so glad I went back to Avanta! Now I have a dental clinic I can trust! Very friendly staff and very nice to see fantastic customer service! God Bless these folks!

Negative experience: I advise anyone considering going here to read the reviews as alot of them are centered around billing issues. I too had issues with them on this subject. I went there and had extraction work done and told them upfront that I make ok money but due to taking care of so many kids I would need a payment plan..they said ok ..I paid in full and on time. Then later I needed even more work done, ok I told them on the phone I would need payment plan again and that I'd paid successfully before. I was told no problem come in in and I did..I noticed as soon as I walked in the finance girl demanded office payment immediately before I would be seen at all, they'd never done that before (at this point I'd like to mention that the financial girl there was always rude to me and would smirk at me in a over-embellished way) but anyways I get in the back and they said they needed fresh exrays first, and then after that here came the smirky finance girl and AFTER I was already told on phone that payment plan was ok .and after they suddenly demanded office payment upfront and took ex-rays , she said they no longer have a payment plan there..(a week later my neighbor went there, got extraction work done there and guess what, HE GOT A PAYMENT PLAN!).. so I was lied to on the phone, payed office visit and set up to hafto pay x-rays when they knew before I even arrived that I needed a payment plan..it was deceiving and a set up obviously. This clinic has had too many complaints about their billing practices for them all to be false or misguided.on the last visit our family just lost a child...and I iterated this to them, hence another reason I needed a payment plan, my credit score is over mid 700's..I pay my bills...had paid in full there in the past and they could have made a good deal of money from me, but no...they had to deceive. Also the smirky financial girl, when after they racked up a bill, told me there is no longer a payment plan there, she literally was twisting her face to smerk at me and was turning red in the face trying to hold back laughing at me... Even the feeling of literally being lied to and ripped off..her disrespectful demeanor is what bothers me the most, absolutely obvious disrespect to a patient in need and a elder of her generation.. even so, after I was respectful to her and left..on previous encounter with her I had to report her to the manager there but after it happened again I could tell the manager doesn't seem to care or it wouldn't have happened again but worse.. so I just cut my losses. And in the future I'll suffer in dental pain before I go back there again. I will say that Dr. Tina lady was decent to me... still can't figure out why a male dentist there needed to push some object in my upper gums at a very extreme amount of force (blacked both my eyes) I will say that previously he said something about perhaps implants in the future, so perhaps it was a preliminary step for that, if so then I guess you could say he gave me a solid.. but it would have been nice to know about it. Sorry so long.. but actually there's more but perhaps in a different post.

Positive experience: My most recent appointment was by far one of the best dental experiences I’ve had. Val the dental assistant helping me was wonderful I loved her personality and how she made me feel comfortable and not judged for being a hit or miss patient. I really felt like Dr Elperin and Val cared about me as a patient and wanted to hear any concerns I may have had been having.

Negative experience: The worst dental work I've ever had done. 3 hrs twice of pure torture. Last visit 2 hrs of pain and fumbling. Very nice people just not qualified. Now I have a crown that's to High makes it hard to eat. The new bridge I can't eat on that side at all still to painful. I noticed only one person in waiting room. Word must have got around.

Negative experience: If I could give a negative 10, I would. They bill you for things you never had done, tell you insurance will cover procedures that they dont and leave you with a huge balance. I went there for 2 years and they did nothing for my periodontal disease which made it worse. All they care about is hustling you in and out and getting the almighty dollar. Find a dentist that wants you to save your teeth!!!

Negative experience: 6/2025-updating this review as my experience with my small bridge has been horrible. On 6/13/25 I went in because the temporary bridge is cracked and partially unglued and I called and spoke with Shelly to come in today to get it reglued because my permanent bridge hasn’t came in yet and has almost been 2weeks waiting. I arrived for the appointment the appointment wasn’t saved and she goes back and asks the doctor if he can take a look at and the receptionist comes back and apologizes that Shelly didn’t didn’t save my appointment and that the Dr already called for his ride and it’s coming and to look at my tooth would take about an hour but won’t be able to see me today because he already called his ride and if I can come in Monday. And I said Monday I am booked at work so I can’t. I said so he can’t even look at and look at the broken temporary and reglue it today and she said no he already called his ride. Also I paid $1,824 for my part and my insurance covered most of it and I can’t get my temporary reglued on until my permanent one comes in and I really do hope it comes in next week. The process to even get this bridge work started also was extensive as the wrong form was turned into my insurance and I had to call their call center 4times.l to where it is in process. I had to call their insurance account manager to call into the intake department and an email for Avanta to send it in. And when I call their call center back they said they mailed it since there was no response via email. This past year has not been a good experience and I will be looking for a new dentist and not referring anyone else to Avanta. I am the patient who has to go with a broken temporary bridge partially unglued over the weekend because the doctor already called his ride. I am completely unhappy with the situation and the service I received today 6/13/25. 4/2024- updating this review as they switched to Avanta Dental a few years ago I have continued to come here for services. The staff is amazing and friendly and the Drs are great as well. Today I needed a teeth cleaning and a crown and Val did a great job on the teeth cleaning and assisting Dr. Tina. Will continue to come here. 2018-I had an emergency visit for my crown that had chipped. They got me in the as soon as they could. They staff was friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions. Moving back to the area I chose Sunrise Dental to be my dentist. Just had my first teeth cleaning today!

Negative experience: this is probably the worst dentist i have been to. while the front office staff are patient and professional, the dentist himself and the staff that work in the back are a different story. i have schedule an appointment with this dentist office on three separate occasions, my two front teeth have fillings on them and they tend to break every so often, i contacted them back in February 2025 and let them know i needed to schedule an appointment to get my tooth fixed as it has cracked at the bottom, the lady on the phone said no problem and schedule my appointment later in the week, i went to the appointment and the owner (male) stated it was my bite that was the issue and he recommended invisalign, he wanted to complete scans and said he would schedule the appointment. I said ok and asked for him to fix my tooth and he told me he didn’t have the time that day but i could come back tomorrow. i went back the following day, completed the scans, went over everything with him, and got pricing for the invisalign. once again, i asked him to fix my tooth, he then stated he didn’t have the time. i was fed up at that point and decided i wouldn’t worry about it as it was a small chip. about a month later my tooth breaks and the filling falls off, i contact the office and they were able to get me in same day, i left work once again to get it fixed, i get there and wasn’t seen on time (happens each and every time i have ever gone there) he sits me in the chair, looks at it and tells me it needs to be fixed and said he does not have time to fix it today. i got frustrated and complained that i made the appointment to get it fixed and that was the reason i came, the only reason it got fixed that day was because i complained that this happened again. fast forward to now, June 2025, the same tooth they fixed had cracked and chipped at the bottom again, i contacted their office letting them know it was broken and needed to get fixed, the person on the phone said they could get me in the next day. i left work again to go to the appointment, waited in the lobby after checking in on time 15 minutes pasted my appointment time, the dentist (male) comes in, says he remembers fixing it, remembers going over the invisalign treatment and that it was my bite causing the issue, i brought up to him the tooth that is constantly being fixed doesn’t touch any of my other teeth and he stated it was exactly that. again i told him it didn’t touch and eventually he checked my bite and noticed it didn’t touch and he wasn’t sure why it kept breaking. i told him previously i needed a more permanent solution and was told no the first appointment i went to, this time i told him that veneers was what i wanted and he stated it could still break if i didn’t do the invisalign treatment first. i told him i wasn’t going to do that and i wanted the veneers and he said he would get me the pricing and would schedule the appointment. i thanked him and asked him to fix my tooth. AGAIN he told me he did not have the time and had other patients waiting. i questioned him once again stating this is the third time they have done this. he stated he would speak with his front office staff again and to make sure they stop telling people he can get it done. once i went back out to the front they stated my bill was around $175 but they would take the xray and one other thing off since i didn’t get work done. i asked the front desk woman (very nice, professional person) why i was being charged for that if nothing got fixed and i called to make the appointment to get a fix and the dentist just reiterated the same proposed treatment as last time. she stated she wasn’t sure and she would to speak with the other dentist (his wife) and would speak to her about the veneers and we could get it scheduled. i let her know to not worry about the veneers as i would not be returning. the dentists wife waive the “ office visit “ fee (which was $100) and that she would fix my tooth for me personally today if her schedule allowed, it did not.

Fantastic experience: I went to Avanta due to a dental Emergency and was pleasantly surprised with the amazing experience and quality care I got from Dr Tina and her assistant Sharon! They handled the emergency with care, and such amazing professionalism. I was able to get in, get the work done and out within just a few hours. So grateful I found Avanta Dental!

Fantastic experience: May 22 2025. Dental Hygienist Michelle is in a league of her own with compassion skill and most of all ability to numb my mouth adequately so it’s nearly pleasant and out front Erica is a delight, always taking that extra step to make sure I’m receiving all my earned benefits and never rushing me, makes me feel I’m the only customer she’s attending to, very focused. February 2025 Wish to give another 5 star review, Michelle does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth, I'm sixty five, very sensitive gums, not great at wearing a night guard; Michelle and Dentist understand all that and look to the future, not the past. Brand new to Avanta, after long time solid provider, Nob Hill Family Dental, sort of floated away due to lack of a dentist, I was anxious. Dr. Tina and Luis made me feel right at home, yet clear what needed to be done to maintain my dental health, starting with two deep cleaning appointments. DH Alexa amazing; kind, smart, efficient yet took the time needed for a whole bunch of shots and topical to get it done. The front desk team is equally remarkable, providing excellent customer service.

Negative experience: I have had a total of 3 appointments here, and they have been unpleasant for several reasons. I saw the clinic had good reviews online about a year ago, and I needed a dentist and gave them a try. First of all, this clinic is very expensive, and their financial practices seem a bit predatory. Your dental work comes with an a well decorated clinic and attractive staff, but you will pay for that. Anyway, I got some cavities filled about a year ago, and it was the worst dental experience I had ever had. It was incredibly painful; the dentist was unable to get me fully numb on one side despite giving me several additional injections into my mouth. He continued with the work anyway even though it was incredible painful. And the work took about 3 or 4 hours. It was very expensive. I had never had this issue before at other clinics I had been to for cavities. Anyway, I was not going to go back to the clinic but yesterday a lady gave me a call and said it is time to get a cleaning. She said I had a credit on my account of $168 due to overpaying for my dental work a year ago. She said she would use that balance to pay for my cleaning if I were to schedule. I asked what my insurance would cover as I had not had a cleaning an over a year, and she let my know my insurance would cover 100% of the cleaning and the credit was not needed. I asked her to send a check for the credit in the mail and book a cleaning. Today, I went in for my appointment and the receptionist told me the credit would be used for the appointment. I let her know what I was told over the phone. She told me that after my insurance is billed, there will be remaining charge of $149. She attempted to assist with what I was told but the information I was given originally was incorrect, probably to get me to schedule the appointment and later find out my credit was used to pay for the balance after my insurance was billed. Anyway, I canceled my appointment, requested my credit be sent to me in the mail, and will not be going back. Sorry for the long story, but people should know my experience before going here for the first time.

Negative experience: Worst place to deal with I don’t care what they have I have a certain amount and told em countless times on how much my yearly for my insurance and they purposely went over even after I told them I should wait and the doctor said it’s ok itll roll over you need to get this done but guess what it doesn’t and now I’m having to pay a thousand out of pocket when the doctor told me it would roll into the following year not a happy customer also when I went in they keep adding charges when I had already paid for my services that day not once but three separate occasions this happened thank you so much for wasting my time and money you’ll get it one day

Negative experience: Worst dentist ever. Botched a simple implant. Couldn’t get my partial to ever fit right. I’ve spent thousands to get substandard care. Over charge for services, and straight lie about the cost and what is being paid for. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

Fantastic experience: I recently went to Avanta Dental for the first time with a great experience! The front receptionists are very nice and welcoming! I had a dental cleaning with Jannet the dental hygenist, she had done a great job! She was very patient and had a great attitude! I highly recommend this dental clinic and will be going back for any dental needs!

Negative experience: Ellensburg office reception staff are not easy to deal with. They don't seek to get answers. They seem uninformed about dental information and caring only about making money. We are going elsewhere.

Negative experience: Front desk receptionists have always been helpful and kind. The dental staff on the other hand, very unprofessional and rude. They love to gossip in front of their patients. Also, did terrible work on fillings and Invisalign treatment. I don’t understand how people keep coming back.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ferguson and my most recent guardian angel, Valentina are totally kind, patient and theral. They both spent time explaining things to me and were Very helpful as I was having pseudo seizures. I will be forever greatful that I found Advanta!

Negative experience: Worst dentist office ever. If your thinking of going please do yourself a favor and save yourself a hard time. I went back in November the service was awful. I apparently had multiple cavities so I got them filled we started with the ones on the right side. As I was getting them filled there was a student being trained which made them take so much longer. They never asked me if that was okay with me. According to them they told me I has 5 cavities still needing to be filled on the left side still. I wanted another Dentist to give me a second opinion and I come to find out I only have 1 cavity on the left side. I think they do this just to get more money out of it which is not cool at all. I advise you really look into this place before going I don't believe they know what they're doing. And when it comes to your Teeth I think its important for the person to have knowledge of what they are doing. Very unprofessional if you ask me.

Negative experience: Went in for a cleaning yesterday and Dr Tina cut up the inside of my mouth so bad that I was bleeding for 8 hours, had pieces of my gums fall off, and suffered a blood clot. My gums are black and it is hard for me to talk and eat. They won’t admit it but they caused harm and discomfort for me. After seeing a piece of my mouth fall out from being cut, I can’t recommend this place. S Vale was right.

Negative experience: I signed up for Invisalign with Avanta Dental and fully paid thousands of dollars for the treatment. Without any notice or courtesy reminder that I was close to being dropped, they removed me as a client simply because I hadn’t been in for an appointment. No calls, no emails—just dropped me without warning. This feels like theft, as I’ve already paid in full for a service I can no longer complete. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Avoid this place if you value your time and money.

Negative experience: Don't go here. They used to be great. Now I'm getting a bill from 2022 with nothing on it saying I owe them money from 2 years ago..... they have you check out before you leave so how is that possible plus 2 years.... come on... it's ridiculous...

Negative experience: Lol…how does this place have so many positive reviews? There is no way. I have never been to a dentist that didn’t do a cleaning. This place apparently doesn’t do cleanings for first time patients. What? I want a cleaning which they did after I complained. I would give the quality of the cleaning a zero - it was messy with water splashing over my face. You know how your teeth feel smooth and great after a cleaning? Well, that won’t happen here. The first visit is to X-ray teeth and try to sell Invisalign or whatever work you “need” done. Two of my front teeth have small chips which the dentist offered to fix same day. Sure, it was only $51 out of pocket. On my way home, the material used to fix the chips fell off. Wow…amazing work. I left a voicemail about the chip as this place never seems to answer the phone. I might as well mention my appointment was scheduled at 10am which they ask you to arrive 10min before. Well, they finally got to me about 10:20ish. The staff was very friendly, I must admit. Only positive thing I can mention. I just do not understand why this place sucked with so many great reviews. I cannot help but lol as I wrote this review because I had such an awful experience. Fantastic experience: Michelle is the most caring, professional and gentle hygienist I have ever had. She talks you through every procedure she performs. I would give her 10 stars if I could she well worth more then just 5. Won’t go anywhere else she’s the best.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency and they were able to get me right in and fix what I needed. Bianca and Dr Elperin were great! I highly recommend and have found my new dentist.

Negative experience: WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If I could upload pictures I would, but its a bit graphic. They cut and left the inside of my gum bruised, and by that i mean its purple black. There shots are so painful and when i say i have a high pain tolerance i do, this was way worse than labor. I've never had that happen at other locations. They didn't even clean my teeth, they used a tool that was painful and supposedly that was the cleaning. Not going back.

Fantastic experience: I had nothing short of a fantastic experience here, from the front desk to the exam room. The desk staff were kind and courteous and the dental assistant (Bianca) and the doctor (Reza) were both very kind, thorough, and engaged in ensuring that I get the care that is best for me. I have a lot of work that needs to be done and I have no qualms about returning for more appointments here.

Negative experience: We unfortunately ran into a front desk at this place that lacked kindness empathy and respect. Fortunately too many dentists in town to put ourselves through such an experience again so we will be switching dentists. PS: Dentist himself is good but we do care about not getting harassed at the front desk

Fantastic experience: I had an accident when I was 16, my front tooth got hit/cracked and ever since every dentist tried to save that tooth. Now being in my early 50’s, there was no more saving it. Sadly, it needed to come out. Dr Reza came in the room. Calming, reassuring and professional. I’m TERRIFIED of shots. Shots weren’t nearly as bad as I expected! Dr Reza worked on getting that tooth out for over an hour. I’m thinking to myself, I’m going to be in SO MUCH pain when the numbness wears off. To my surprise, I couldn’t feel an OUNCE of pain afterwards, the next day even! Dr Reza, you are TRULY amazing. You have a gift of wisdom, grace and kindness. Thank you for making this experience so easy and comfortable! Now….need to work on this missing front tooth! Thank goodness I can wear a mask Also, I want to thank the staff. So patient so kind and always there when you need them. Always a live person answering the phone. That makes a huge difference in patient care.

Fantastic experience: RDH Michelle was wonderful!!! Michelle gave me tips how to deal with my symptoms of dry mouth. She was very professional and knowledgeable. I wish all the Hygienists were as caring as her. Keep up the great work Michelle!!!

Fantastic experience: Bertha and Dr. Riza were amazing! I was able to get in the day after I chipped my front tooth. They repaired the chip in a few minutes and it looks better than it did before I chipped it!!! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: You guys made me feel comfortable dr Ferguson and Val are very polite professional and always make me feel comfortable I will definitely recommend this office and they do an amazing job from a simple crown to extractions it was just phenomenal.

Negative experience: I go back and forth with this office. Had some good experiences but the most annoying thing is how many times my appointments get rescheduled. Then to be told my dentist only does cleanings 1 day a week so I have to reschedule months out because I too have a job and have to work around my work schedule just for them to call me the week before my appointment to reschedule again. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have a super flexible schedule.

Fantastic experience: Val and Dr.E are absolutely amazing . They work so well together and make me feel right at home . If you are looking for above and beyond service , for a provider that doesn’t cut corners you should check in at Avanta Dental in Yakima . Highly recommended 100/10 .

Fantastic experience: Dr tawill & her assistant(s?) are AMAZING. They both try to ease any anxiety , and actually take the time to explain procedures and why they’re recommended without shaming , or ridiculing. The front desk, every time I have interacted with them, each employee has been nice , patient, and prompt. If you have anxiety , especially around medical professionals, I would definitely recommend avanta.

As a person that is fearful of going to the dentist resulting in some dental challenges, Advanta Dental and their team Val and Dr. E went above and beyond to make my very first visit comfortable and fearless! Fantastic experience: I absolutely despise going to the dentist, but the staff and dentist at Avanta made sure I was comfortable and had my cavities filled very quickly. Even grabbed me a Gatorade when my jaw cramped up and it worked! One of the best experiences I've had at a dentist office.
