Fantastic experience: I had the best experience at Bear Glasgow Dental. Dr. Weinstein made me feel extremely comfortable and explained the procedure as he went to calm my nerves. Everyone who sits up front and the dental assistants/hygienists are the kindest people!

Negative experience: This was my childhood dentist, so therefore I started bringing my kiddos here. It’s a shame because hygienists and dentist are all wonderful however front desk is so rude. I work full time and some appointments my mother has to bring them for me as she is caregiver when I’m at work. This has never been an issue before as they call me to confirm everything before my child goes back. More recently March/april At my daughters last cleaning they changed there policy and they needed a notarized paper confirming that I was okay with my mother bringing my children . No problem, we did that so it can be updated for any future visits moving forward . Which brings us to today we were about one of her teeth and here we are 3 months later and now everything that was just notarized is no longer valid due to system change and everything has to be updated again. No communication about this during confirmation text or call, so therefore when my mother brought her today she could not be seen. This is absolutely ridiculous. When I called to voice my frustrations the lady named Erica lied to me told me my mother denied filling out paper work when that’s not what happened at all. She had no problem updating medical info she had an issue with the notarized form no longer good after we just did it for them. This place has horrible costumer service and I am happy leaving this as we found a new office and we will not returning.

Fantastic experience: My son who is 15 and has autism has been coming to this dental clinic since he was six years old they are so awesome with him. They are so patient they are so caring they’re fast. They have access to everything and I really appreciate them and I love the doctors here and the nurses and I really appreciate them

Negative experience: It’s horrible. The appointment was at 12:30 and at 2 o’clock. We still have not been seen yet. And he was supposed to be in for a root canal and they changed their plans and they decide to clean his teeth this week and need to come back a A week later to do a root canal when everything was supposed to be done at once I did not know about all the other stuff that they have planned. It was just a root canal and a teeth cleaning. This is ridiculous.

Negative experience: Not a fan but I keep going because Delaware has so few providers. The dentist never introduced themself or looked at my x-rays. The x-rays are too frequent and an obvious insurance money grab. And the cleaning included double flossing but minimal scraping. I hope they get better because there really isn't another option.

Negative experience: Self centered office staff, no consideration for people that cater to their needs

Fantastic experience: We are new in town and my son with special needs had a bleeding infection in his mouth and of course it hurt! Everyone else had appointments weeks or at least days from now. Even though Bear-Glascow Dental was busy they saw him right away and helped us toward making hus dental problem better.

Fantastic experience: Have severe gum issues and teeth problems but am always greeted kindly. The staff is nice and problems you have are willing to be solved by the doctors and staff on board. They give you free baggies after every visits, it’s clean and once an appt is set up you never have to wait long! Very busy place so sometimes appts might be far apart but overall my teeth feel better every time I get work done. Offer braces and other services as well!

If ever I have an issue with my teeth or insurance the staff is more than willing to explain or provide me with any additional receipts. Every procedure, we have always received the best of care. The ladies at the front desk are friendly, the dental assistants put me at ease and the doctors are always helpful and professional. I’ve been going to BGD for about 20 years now and have never had a bad experience. Dr. DeCouto also plays great music and Brittany is the best.

Fantastic experience: Very nice staff easy to get appt.

Negative experience: Beware Negative 5 stars for billing! They contract out billing, which is almost always incorrect. They expect you to overpay and then have a check back to you - no way! Myself and my sons have been patients for years, but the billing malpractice has gotten downright out of control - no one even calls you back from their offshore billing office!!! If you love billing problems this is the place to be. On a positive note, the hygienist are and dentist are nice, polite, good with kids, but the billing inaccuracies my insurance even confirms became overwhelming too much.

Negative experience: I didn’t share this out of fear of retaliation as it happened on more than occasion and just felt inconsiderate but now I’ve switched dentists, thankfully. On one occasion I was cut on my chin by a tool being used during my appointment it was an obvious cut, broke skin, little blood but I wasn’t able to see myself until I got in the car. The person working on me didn’t acknowledge cutting me at all, I brushed it off as maybe she was nervous and just hoped I didn’t notice, my mouth was wide open and numb so I couldn’t say anything and I assumed by her reaction that she didn’t really cut me. On the second occasion, I was nicked with a drill while my mouth was numbed so I didn’t feel a thing, my problem is the entire group of staff left the room in the middle of my appointment and one person i’d never seen came in and questioned wether or not I bit my lips (It was clear my lips were dry and i was biting the skin as it was winter) and said he could tell by looking at them, no mention of the cut in my mouth. It felt like he was sent in there to do damage control and all he did was blame me. Again, was not able to see myself until I got in the car and didn’t think to check my phone camera because I figured he was talking about my lip skin. Maybe i’ll attach the chin picture if I can find it but here’s from the second incident. Just something to take into account before you go here, especially as a teen/young adult. It sucks because the dentist that helped me when my wisdom teeth were coming in was wonderful as were the receptionists

Negative experience: I have been a patient at this practice since moving to Delaware approximately 11 years ago. Dr. Cha is amazing; I cannot say the same about the front desk staff or the billing team!! I cannot remember a time when I contacted the office and received a call back timely. To date, I have left 4 messages for someone in the billing department. This practice certainly does higher from the bottom of the qualification barrel! For this reason, I will no longer be a patient at Bear- Glasgow Dental!!

Negative experience: My family has been patients for years. We have had the same insurance for several years. Recently, I took off work to bring my daughter in for a treatment. I was told that there was an outstanding bill. We have excellent insurance which generally covers most of our care. I've had clear correct treatment there in the past, with which I was very satisfied, and my children have been coming there since they were toddlers. We arrived for the appointment 1.5 hours early. I contacted our insurance provider to help resolve the matter. My daughter's father also called the provider since he’s the account holder. The provider agreed to wait by the phone to hear from Bear Glasgow Dental's office. She waited for about an hour. When I asked the receptionist to call the provider so that we could all resolve the matter, she refused, stating that she would be going to lunch soon. She cancelled the appointment, regardless of the fact that there was still about 40 minutes remaining before my daughter's appointment was supposed to start. I will now have to reschedule the appointment and take another day off work to get my daughter's treatment. Every time there is a new receptionist, she has trouble navigating the process of contacting our insurance provider. We are not sure why, since the provider's # is on the back of the card. To date, I have been passed around through voicemails and had this concern delayed several times.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to bear Glasgow dental. Everyone was wonderful and treated me with respect. Dr. Uberti examined my gums and teeth like I have never been examined before. She was so thorough and advised me I needed to have deeper cleaning of three teeth. Anna, the hygienist, explained everything to me and did an awesome job of scaling three of my bottom teeth. The dental assistant, Nasir was very polite and knowledgeable. He completed my x-rays and was simply wonderful to talk to. There is not enough room here to express my appreciation and gratitude for the care I received, and how I was treated by all the staff, including the reception staff. They took care of my insurance and explained everything to me Regarding my share of payment. my next appointment is in two weeks and I am looking forward to the visit. I highly recommend this team for your dental care.

Negative experience: After the whole billing nightmare we are still dealing with for my daughter’s dental work, I didn’t realize she had a cleaning appointment. I decided to bring her so I can then have a little time to get her to another practice. AFTER the cleaning was completed, the receptionist told me that our insurance has been depleted (which they should have known before the services were rendered - they were the ones that depleted it!) and that will be $350 out of pocket. I should’ve had my daughter’s cleaning wait. I told them that they are informing me of this now after the services are rendered??? I got treated with a dismissive attitude. Their incompetence and lack of self awareness are breathtaking. It is just one hit after another with them. It’s bad enough their “estimate” for my daughter’s dental work was off by $3300, they’ve exhausted our insurance, and put their hands out for more. They don’t communicate, they make huge mistakes and expect patients to pay for THEIR MISTAKES!! We will DEFINITELY be leaving the practice.

My daughter has had 1 root canal and is now getting another and needs sedation and they are very good ,very patience with patients. Negative experience: I have gone here for 5+ years and have always had a pleasant experience with the dental hygienists. The dentist has always been kind and done a fair job. My biggest issue has been with the front desk staff. It can be difficult to reach them or take some time for them to get back to me, which I understand is common with doctor offices these days. However, today I went to my cleaning appointment and at the end I told them that I wanted to cancel my dental membership. While I was standing there, one of the front desk girls says “I don’t think she likes us very much.” (in reference to me) and the other front desk girl chimed in “Yeah.. I was getting that vibe too.“ How incredibly rude and unprofessional to treat a long time client of yours because I wanted to discontinue the membership. I hadn’t planned on leaving them but because of this I will most certainly be looking into other dentist offices.
