Edit: I have stopped going to this office after a few visits. The positive interactions definitely changed after my initial visit (when they asked for the review during checkout). It seems like every appointment was a sales pitch. I want to focus more on my dental health and will be finding another doctor.

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely amazing experience. First of I had an infected tooth and nobody would see me for at least 3 weeks to get an appointment. Arverne Dental booked me in 5 minutes. Tanya, the receptionist took my information very professional and curtious. Then the manager Gene actually called me back 1 minute later to ask me how I was feeling and promised me to take care of my issue as soon as possible. He kept his promise. Agnes the DA who did my xrayes with ease made my experience so much better because she has an amazing personality, she was professional and she never left my side the entire procedure. I highly recommend Dr Khaitov. Simple, easy procedure. Arverne Dental is a state of the art dental office. I just found my new dentist. Thank you. I can now sleep after 3 days, with no sleep, no food and tonight I will sleep, pain free. Thank you so much to the entire stuff and I enjoyed the tvs on the ceiling.

Fantastic experience: If I could give them 10 stars I would. Let me begin saying it’s Sunday 5pm and I have a terrifying tooth ache that won’t go away with any painkiller. I called Arverne (never had heard of them) and no one picked up - as expected. After about 2 hours I get a call back from them, there were closed and offered to see me the next morning at 10am. I told them I had no idea how I was going to get through the night. They put me on hold and came back to tell me “OK the doctor can be there by 9:15pm, so in about an hour. Once I got there and waited in front of the closed gate, I saw them come in, they were 3 people. Once I went in, they had all changed into their scrubs and the clinic was completely up and running, all systems on. They took a full set of X-Rays, plus high definition photos of every tooth. Doctor Taft is a genius and while my sharp pain was on my bottom left she told me my problem tooth was on the upper left. She went on to treat that tooth (removed old filling, cleaned, medicated and refilled) and boom no more pain. I got out of there at 11:00PM!! will follow up with my root canal with them of course. They also took my insurance (Aetna). Thank you Arverne Dental!

Fantastic experience: When I came in I needed help and was in a lot of pain.Dr.taff very professional and non judge mental helped take good care of me, im way-better off then when I first started coming but after a short while I noted inconsistent with the billing it’s a mom a pop style dental place were the husband runs insurance and wife works as dentist wife amazing person(the wife )dr.taff but the husban Jean or what ever his name is money hungry I had to leave the dentist alone beacuse of that reason tryyed to charge 4500 for one root canal no crown no post screw nothing but just the procedure smh I paid that much for both root canals I needed else where and had more then 3000 left basically paying 370 and insurance paying other half 450 it was a lil under 850 smh moral of the storie if your black or different race stay away they will not serve you whole heartily ,their for their best interest no matter who they rip off so sad plz stay away from arverne dental save your self the time and hassle

Negative experience: I had to change my review. When I went over the amount of money, they wanted to charge me with insurance, I was shocked I was expected to get a loan to pay for the work I was told I needed. I never returned for another visit, and I never returned their phone call.

Negative experience: I am updating my review after a couple experiences with this practice. Seems to offer high quality care in regards to the options of dental work. I appreciated their root canal specialist who comes in specifically for Root Canals. However, I found that the assistant who gave novocane shots for my procedures was very unskilled in this. It was incredibly painful and left me traumatized. (Like crying A LOT, and i dont feel im much of a cryer.) Additionally, I was told I needed fillings in ALL of my molars (except maybe 1 or 2 which seemed excessive. (I got 2nd and 3rd opinions from 2 other practices who agreed with me about excessive work, not that I didn't need any but certainly not AS much) I also had to return to get a brand new crown taken off because it wasn't put on right the first time. (The same assistant doing novocane shots was just as painful this time around too when i got that replaced) On my initial visit I Was told I should get invisalign for crooked teeth (most dentists ask if I've had braces as my teeth are mostly straight) as well as a special retainer for sleeping due to TMJ. (I don't grind my teeth) they spent about 30 minutes trying to convince me I needed this thing which even after I told them I don't grind my teeth was told I do and I just don't know it. (Felt like gaslighting to me). Although there was more, without going into further details I will say I did not feel respected in any degree, and although they did their job it was very unpleasant. I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is because they did work with me to get some financial things straightened out and I appreciated their in house root canal specialist. He was fantastic and would recommend their CONNECTIONS to high quality care. This is just my experience here and felt it was worth sharing for those who do not handle the dentist visits well.
