She was professional & personable. Although I wasn't scheduled until June, they had a cancellation & called me.

Positive experience: This was my first visit with Singing River. Staff was very courteous. He didn’t waste time trying to figure out what problems I was having with my teeth had two feelings done today still having some sensitivity issues, but I’m gonna give it a couple of days I do like the professionalism how they handle me being a first time patient Very appreciative. Didn’t quite understand some of the charges maybe take a little bit more time and go over this information with the patient. They did do that. I just didn’t understand all the ends and out of what I had to pay.

Fantastic experience: I took my Mom to have her teeth cleaned today at Singing River Dental in Tuscumbia. She is in late stage Alzheimer’s and had not had her teeth cleaned in several years. From the ladies at the front desk to everyone we encountered what a wonderful group of true professionals. I fell in love with her hygienist Marsha. Marsha is the kindest and most compassionate person I think I have ever met. She was so wonderful with my Mom and a truly caring person. Susan is another sweetheart. Fantastic experience: Due to my history of buccal cancer found by an oral surgeon anything surrounding dentistry elicits expected anxiety. This office helped me to begin to heal from that trauma in such a huge way. Every single staff member that interacted with me was completely professional and down right kind... but not just with me. I overheard other interactions and I just cannot say enough positive things. The lady at the front desk sets the tone. She is amazingly kind, patient, and proficient. Working in the medical field I realize when you have to repeat the same thing several times a day like "sign at the bottom of this page" it frequently becomes methodical with many healthcare workers. But that is not the case with this lady. She spoke to each of their clients as if they were the only person she had to relay directions to. I also was grateful for the praise and worship music playing on the t.v. and in the dental pods/rooms. The dental hygienest and then the dentist were also amazing. Finally, to the lady scheduling my upcoming appointments, she was very friendly and very patient with me. This place is phenomenal!! I rarely give 5 full stars or when I do, I usually still mention some little thing to tweak because I honestly usually think there is typically room for improvement. I can say, however, there is not one thing I would change about this place except that oh how I wish I had found them sooner. Brenda G. Mann

Fantastic experience: I really have a phobia about going to a dentist. I think it probably goes back to a dentist scaring me to death as a child. I am happy to say that my experience at Singing River Dentistry has been the best! The past 2 months I’ve had my cleaning and deep cleaning and prepped for 8 temporary crowns and went back today to get my permanent crowns. Y’all, I didn’t even dread todays visit because the prior visits had been so pleasant and for the most part pain free. The staff was very nice and professional and I’m so appreciative for them making me feel comfortable during each process. Thanks to Dr. Jimmy Gardiner for his expertise in fitting my crowns. I appreciate you. (Sorry this is so long)!

Fantastic experience: I just had a visit today and seen Dr. Maples again. . I highly recommend Dr.Maples. He has a great personality and does wonderful work! I’ve used Dr. Gardner and his staff since he first opened years ago. I’ve had several root canals, crowns and other dental work and never had any troubles. I always recommend Dr. Gardner and his staff.

Fantastic experience: I went for my first dental visit with Dr. Gardiner today to fix a broken tooth. I am extremely pleased with the whole visit!! The entire staff was so friendly and professional. Dr. Gardiner was so great at getting me fixed up properly and on my way in no time. And they are a hi-tech facility with all of the latest equipment. I 1,000% recommend Dr. Gardiner’s practice at Singing River Dentistry in Tuscumbia. I live in Florence, but am willing to make the extra drive time to obtain such great service and plan to return there for any future dental needs!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic staff that excels in all areas. I have very sensitive teeth and they’ve made trips to the dentist a pleasant experience.

Negative experience: I THINK THEY OWE ME $188! First of all, I went here thinking I had an appointment with the Dentist who owns the practice. I was unaware of the expansion and had no idea I’d be seeing anyone else. Secondly, at the time they were very prominently advertising TMJ Diagnosis and Treatment on there website. This appeared to have been removed after sending them a written comment about the following, but at the time was, in fact, the first thing you saw when you pulled them up. The reason for my visit (as clearly stated on the intake form) was sharp pains in and around my ears, ringing in my ears, and the feeling my teeth were misaligned after being hit in the head with an 80 or so pound object and suffering a concussion. These are classic symptoms of TMJ problems. I’m first told I have to have a full set of x-rays, then led to an exam room where I had what was maybe a 3 minute exam by a dentist other than whom I had made an appointment to see. He said “yes, you have TMJ issues”and further states that he can both see it on the x-ray and feel it, too. Then, after I inform him of the accident (again, clearly described on the intake form) he leaves the room and sends someone else in to tell me… “We don’t deal with TMJ. You’ll have to be referred to someone in Birmingham.” As I said… I was clear about why I was there when I went in. Why was I not told upfront if they could not help me? And why did their website boldly state otherwise? And furthermore… when I obtained a copy of the record for that visit I discovered the dentist (who said he could both see and feel TMJ problems) did not list this as a diagnosis. Nor, was I actually referred to anyone, just simply given a name. Was this just because it was a work related accident that brought about the problem(s) I now needed treatment for? Btw… I received a text asking me to give a review and hesitated for quite some time out of respect for Jimmy. But today I discover they’re advertising TMJ diagnosis and treatment again. I was surprised and confirmed this through an online chat with their web coordinator. So… again… was I turned away just because it was a work related injury? If this were the case, all the information was on the intake form. Why wasn’t I told at the front counter rather than being escorted to the back and then told they couldn’t help me and charged $188 for nothing? I think maybe he should know, because I, for one, know of no other business that would not tell you if they could not provide the service, or treatment, you were looking for and then charge you for coming in.
