Fantastic experience: These folks are excellent! I went to a big box dental place before moving over to these folks last year and it was very different. The entire staff are sharp, courteous and extremely friendly. Plus, they have no turnover. It's the same people still working there. That speaks volumes of the owners and leadership team. I will definitely be staying and referring others.

They did everything in their power to make me feel safe, comfortable, and well CARED for while I was at their dental office. Dr. Salyda is a knowledgeable, competent, professional, compassionate dentist. I really appreciate all that they have done for my family's dental health. I highly recommend him as a fantastic dentist.

Fantastic experience: We were able to get right in, and I mean like two days after the initial call. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. They offer bottled water and a blanket if needed. Dr Schuyler was very thorough and listened to all our concerns. She took care of a filling issue right then ,even though it was a consultation for dentures. They don't mess around, and how refreshing that is!!!!!

Everyone makes you feel welcome & comfortable from the moment you walk in! Elwood truly cares about your overall wellbeing. They listen to you & work with you to determine the best plan of action. I can’t imagine trusting anyone else with my oral health now.

She's great with conversation and felt like I was just talking to a friend. Dr. Salayta is great. Very conservative with treatments and really works with you as a patient and isn't rushing for you to spend money on unnecessary treatments. A great office!

Fantastic experience: Brandy and Dr. Salayta are the best! I’ve been by myself previously and had a wonderful experience but this time my 3 year old had her appointment directly after mine. When I say it couldn’t have gone better for my daughter, I mean it! She laid on me the entire time I got my teeth cleaned and Brandy explained every single tool to her. My daughter still laid on me while she got her own teeth cleaned and I could tell she felt comfortable because of how everything had been explained to her. Thank you all again!

Fantastic experience: Everyone at the office was incredibly kind and welcoming. My dental hygienist, Lauren, took excellent care of me and made the whole experience feel comfortable and stress-free. They offer thoughtful touches like blankets, earbuds, and sunglasses to help you relax during your visit. The team was also very efficient—I was in and out in under an hour. Both Lauren and Dr. Mu Salayta took the time to ask if I had any concerns and made sure I felt at ease throughout. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Went into this tooth pull with the old west scenes in mind. The experience was anything but. Almost painless compared to what I was expecting. Dr. Renfro was extremely professional and comforting. Taryn made me feel calm and in safe hands.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough great things about this place. From the first point of contact I could tell the staff was going to be friendly at the very least. Which , if you’ve had to have much healthcare experience recently, that in and of itself can be a challenge to find. They got me in the very next day when I called with a broken tooth that was bothering me. Honestly, it was 4:50 pm when j called and I think had it been earlier in the day and I needed same day care they would have found a way. When I got to the office I noticed right away how comfortable and at ease I felt. It’s beautifully decorated, home like, rather than medical office feeling. Aside from that you could also tell that the staff worked well together and genuinely seemed happy to be there. All of the equipment they have is state of the art and fully up to speed with the latest technology. Something that to be completely honest I had mixed feelings about initially. I’ve been in so many Dentist offices where I’m being upsold on services much like a used car lot. Their high dollar equipment worried me that maybe I would run into that or possibly exuberant prices for services. Neither of which proved to be true. The treatment plan they brought me was 100% within the scope of what my insurance would cover. They listened to me about everything. My wants and my needs. One part of all of this that was (for me) a “big deal” is the fact that historically I have had TERRIBLE experiences with female doctors, dentists, whatever. TERRIBLE. Generally I will reschedule with someone else if a female provider comes in. As bizarre as this is going to come across, I didn’t even think about the fact the dentist that came in to treat me was a female. I mean yes of course I knew she was a woman but her demeanor, personality and over all vibe was so positive it didn’t matter to me one bit. I had a very close friend with me and he knows about my distain for female doctors and he said he was nervous when she sat down As to how I wound react. When I didn’t react negatively but in fact acted so positively, he was shocked! Dr. Sky had the kindest and disarming personality. Her presence makes you feel at ease. All of the staff does. It’s the first time EVER that a dentist appointment made me so relaxed. Not just relaxed but cared for. I left feeling so positive that I'm looking forward to going back to start full treatment. I can’t believe I’m looking forward to having multiple teeth extracted! I’ve already talked them up so much there are 3 other family members making appointments. Wonderful, wonderful place!!!

My visit today was comprehensive and comfortable throughout! They have all the latest technology for x-rays and scans - pretty amazing! Fantastic experience: I have severe dental anxiety and wait until I'm in pain to visit the dentist-I don't suggest doing this. They got me in quick! The first girl I saw ( I don't remember her name because I tend to disassociate when I'm under stress) picked up on how anxious I was. Rather than have a. root canal I opted to have it extracted right then and there. The dentist was extremely friendly, down to earth, and just didn't give off the vibe that I was a nuisance at all. The assistant (same girl) was great during the actual procedure. I don't know if she meant to do this, but she casually chatted with the dentist about his weekend plans and very mundane things while he was working on me, this was BRILLIANT because it kept me distracted and at ease. She wasn't being obvious about it. A lot of people in her position will ask if I'm ok and tell me to breathe. That's great for some but for me, I just want everything quick and to the point. Overall great experience with dental staff. The only not great experience was with the girls at the front desk. Can't explain it but they give off the vibe that they are going to talk about you the second you walk away. This wouldn't deter me from visiting in the future, because the people working on my mouth are fantastic!

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience at Elwood Avenue today! I usually have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist, but today was completely different. My hygienist was Lauren Garner, and she made me feel so comfortable from start to finish. She did an amazing job on my cleaning — everything felt so thorough yet gentle — and she also did a fantastic job with my Daxxify treatment (which I also get really nervous about). I have been going to a different dentist and was supposed to go in for some fillings, but after speaking to Dr Salayta today, he told me he didn’t think I needed fillings and that they will just watch the teeth closely, which I truly appreciated. Why fill decent teeth if they don’t necessarily need it at this point in time?? I really appreciated his approach to that. I left feeling so well taken care of and genuinely happy with the whole experience. If you’re someone who gets nervous about dental visits (or Botox), I highly recommend Elwood Dental — and definitely ask for Lauren! Although, all the staff I ran into were great too!

Fantastic experience: They do lip filler and botox now!!! I had another great experience with Rachel. WOW!! What a great place! I had an appointment for my cleaning with the new hygienist named Rachel. She was so nice and explained how careful they are being because of COVID-19. (they took my temperature before they would allow me to come in). I met the dentist for the first time and really liked him. Overall it was really a great experience and I highly recommend them.

Negative experience: Was scheduled back in for my routine cleaning. They claim they still take my dental insurance, but come to find out they wanted a $70 “copay” on a $90 cleaning service. Preventative care is ZERO COST with my insurance. As an established patient I feel disrespected. It would’ve been nice to know beforehand. Now I’m left looking for a new dentist when I’m already due for my cleaning.

Negative experience: Dr Schuyler left my teeth in worse condition than I went to her with. I trusted her with my teeth, but had to struggle to get my concerns addressed and finally had to leave to another practice to get the work she did fixed. I've never had fillings crumble the way they have after she did them, regardless of my tense jaw. I don't appreciate the excuses nor do I appreciate the way I've been brushed off.
