Positive experience: It was my daughter’s first time coming to this dentist. My daughter was supposed to get crowns done from my actual dentist, but the dentist was unable to do it so they referred My daughter to This pediatric Dentistry. everyone was professional , but Dr. Acosta, kind of gave me a rude vibe. I’m not sure if he realize it was rude What was said, but I said that I was going to return and just ask for another Dr. for my kids if possible. Anyways, he asked me what fillings did my child need it and I couldn’t remember exactly which tooth it was so I went to my email to look for the teeth that the dentist recommended she needed fillings for and I was trying to show him and he goes on to say “ I don’t need those We have our own pictures” , Mind you the receptionist asked me to bring it along with me and he asked me what fillings did she need so I’m just showing him the documentation that states what she needed. After that, he says that she doesn’t need to get any fillings done and to just follow up in a few months if it worsened and I said, I agree with you I was just bringing my Child because the other Dentist recommended me to bring her And it’s her first baby teeth so it shouldn’t be that crucial and he says … “ I know that it’s her first baby teeth. You don’t have to tell me that I’ve been working as a odontologist for years to know what baby tooth’s looks like.” I was only agreeing with him. I’m not sure why he made that comment. It was just a weird thing to say if someone is agreeing with you. At that point, it was just awkward silence and I just nodded my head up and down instead of responding to his cocky comment and after that I left it was just weird to me. I’m not sure if making another appointment with another doctor at this location is the right move to do or just find another Dentist because I don’t want any retaliation against me for making this review.

Fantastic experience: We were called back quickly, and the appointment went as expected. They were good with my special needs teenager. We've been to the Kirby location and the White Station location. We had good experiences at both.

Negative experience: Management is extremely unprofessional!!!! Do not reschedule or miss an appointment they will dismiss you and will not finish nor take out caps. That they put in you child mouth unless you pay out of pocket. I do not recommend you take your kids here!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dental provider for children. I wish they accepted adults. From to start to finish my kids appointments went so smoothly. They needed surgery and a few months went by which was fine bc other children needed help as well not just mine. After a short wait they got us right into surgery. Just wanna thank you guys!!! Dr. John Acosta!!!! Dr. Robin Hobbs!!!! What a team!!!!! Don’t ever break up. You guys are so awesome!!!!

Negative experience: My baby has two cavities and it is causing him so much pain. I just felt like if I scheduled my child an appointment to get his teeth fixed or whatever needs to be done, should have been done. They only brushed his teeth when I actually came to get his teeth fixed.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience here at this office. My daughter ended up needing treatment and they were able to do it the same day. Got us back quickly and didn’t have to wait. The dentist was very knowledgeable and did a great job! Will definitely return.

Negative experience: Told me they would not see my son due to negligence if he did not get the crowns put on his teeth and got an appointment at the white station location had us waiting getting my baby numb taking medicine inconvenience me of time had to be back at work glad I didn’t take a full day because I still didn’t get anything accomplished. All just to be told they weren’t going to do my son crowns but told me I must get them or they won’t see him for cleanings or anything.. the dad the owner Dr. Acosta had a smart mouth nasty attitude told me I can wait on Lebonheur to put my son to sleep and I’ll be waiting a long time 2026 my son is 4 years old he’ll be 6 his teeth will be new by then so that was a stupid smart remark and then told me or I could get the anesthesiologist to put him to sleep there but I would have to pay. That’s all it’s about money. I work as a dental receptionist and I would never or my coworkers would never treat anyone the way I got treated but I found a black owned dentist like the office I work for and the receptionist was very understanding very sweet. I wouldn’t refer a dog here. Learn how to treat people just cause you got some patients don’t mean get cocky because GOD will easily turn that around.

Fantastic experience: I honestly love that you don’t just sign in and wait for hours. Everyone is always friendly and respectful. They have 2 different waiting rooms and both are on with wonderful kids movies. Before the kids leave they give them a coin to receive a gift for coming.

Positive experience: Overall experience was great and painless for My grandson. Just wish the dentists would have told him more of what they were doing each step. Never having had a filling children need to know all that you’re doing to ease their anxiety.

Negative experience: This dentist started off ok but two things, first the doctor offended my daughter when she brought my grandson for his appointment tell her she needs to wear a different type shirt then when you try to confirm your appointment and 48 hours haven’t past they cancel your damn appointment and says they are sorry about this. Always something about these people

Negative experience: The dentist had my daughter’s gum swollen. They were rough. They stretched her mouth open too far. It was so bad. She was too aggressive to be a pediatric dentist. On another visit, the dentist had a nasty attitude when, he was questioned about a procedure. My daughter was so upset when the dentist responded with an attitude.

Fantastic experience: Professional top notch service. Staff is friendly and your child receives the best care even when we were referred outside of their office, the dentist that we were referred to was in excellent taste. I know my son will miss them because he's aging out of the pediatric stage. I really appreciate their services and will refer my grandchildren to their practice. Job well done guys.

Negative experience: Ohhhhh my idk were to begin but if I could I wouldn’t gave them a star at all I waited 4 months for a appointment not to mention my son needed to dental work done asap but what we do wait 4 months they sent me a email I confirmed the appointment just to get there an they cancelled my kids appointment like I’m grown if I can’t make it to the appointment I can call y’all took my kids off the schedule after I confirm appointment talking about a glitch girl bye then tryed to reschedule all the way in December I been taking my kids here for years but after today no more I take anywhere but PDG y’all very unprofessional… I can cancel my own appointment I made … I had my own families an friends coming here no more we all find us a new dentist

Negative experience: I went in today for my first day as a new patient for my son and I am beyond disappointed. It was a young lady there and she had her son and needed to make a personal call they told her the meds would take a hour to kick in she literally stepped out side for one minute before the young lady ran outside and told the young lady they couldn't service her AFTER THEY GAVE HER SON MEDS although she literally told them she would only be a couple mins. The young lady came in and told her to just reschedule and the lady at the desk said "I have to verify" if I can do that. They were laughing and bickering when she walked out. Very unprofessional and will not recommend a chicken to this facility

Negative experience: NEVERRRR book with them. My kids have been going here over two years NEVERR had an issue until today. Got checked in they gave my son some meds that said it takes a HOUR to kick in. I said ok I needed to step outside for one minute to make a call the meds assistant Ariel IMMEDIATELY HAD A NASTY ATTITUDE telling me that I can’t talk on MY PHONE THATS RIGHT OUTSIDE THE DOOR. I told her I’m going to Make my call I called my sons teacher back I was outside for two mins she then came behind me and said “ we can’t see your son if you are talking on the phone although she JUST told me it would take a hour this facility has turned ghetto they let anybody who graduate concord in 7 months to come here I’m pissed I missed work my child missed school and I’m calling my insurance company to make sure they didn’t charge for something they didn’t do since he never made it past the entrance..it’s a shame AFTER I do my review from doing a google review you send me this email I’m glad I can edit this comment add this email as well as proof of your UNPROFESSIONALISM AND I WILL MAKE SURE ALL FRIENDS AND FAMILY DISCONTINUE SERVICE AS WELL..EDIT: I stepped three steps away from the door to make a phone call the blinds and windows were up in the pretty humid office you could literally see me..Arielle surely didn’t have a issue with running outside to tell me “ we can’t see you because you are on the phone having a personal conversation” two mins later.. and me scrolling threw the previous reviews I see this is NOT the first time but definitely will be the last.. and THREATENED staff?? How dare you insult my character and definitely my intelligence. Now i threatened your staff member AFTER making a review this is hilarious and NO u do NOT respond to every review good or bad you have your pre canned messages that you do which is fine. You need to establish customer service and definitely teach your med students how to act in front of patients especially “chasing” patients out the door very unprofessional and comments before mine besides how I SAW u treat the autistic child today let me SEE and KNOW everything that I needed to see

Fantastic experience: At his 3 year check up and cleaning, we found out my son had to get a tooth extracted because it was conjoined and had a cavity. I loved how proactive PDC physicians were in getting my child treated quickly especially since he had been complaining of sensitivity and pain. His extraction was yesterday . The orthodontist was quick and left my son feeling better than ever . I love PDC memphis and will be recommending them to anyone i know looking for quality pediatric dental work.

Fantastic experience: PDOC is the perfect pediatric dental office. They are very knowledgeable and they listen to any concerns. They take great care of my daughter's teeth. She recently went for her routine cleaning and examination. She complained of some gum pain, and they told us she was cutting 12yr molars. Also, they found a small cavity on her back tooth and wanted to fill it the same day. They are very professional, detailed, and time sufficient. Our appt was @8, and we were out of there by 9/9:15. My daughter had teeth abstracted previously and we did not have any issues at all. I would highly recommend this practice for pediatric dental needs.

Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a dentist office for your children that will treat you like family- this is it. Dentist are excellent, atmosphere is fun & welcoming, staff are wonderful as well. Kids get “gold coins” to get their own reward from the machine at the end. They offer all the services you could want without pushing things you don’t need on you. Spanish/English speaking. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I Thought this place was a very good establishment until they blocked my child from coming there anymore. This is the only dentist he’s ever been to. They know everything about him. He’s comfortable with them. But Because I CAllED and cancel too many times they removed him from their acceptance list. This is not cool at all. I was never a no show. I always let them know in advance. I would recommend you finding another dentist unless you want this to happen to you.

Negative experience: I was sent a message, asking to leave a review because I spoke the truth about my experience. I was informed that my children could not return. I never said,” I wanted to take them elsewhere”. “I said I had no other choice”.

Fantastic experience: My child was in and out in 3 hours. I enjoyed the staff. Everyone that had something to do with the surgery came and entertained them selfs to us. He was such a big boy that day.

Fantastic experience: Great & Friendly atmosphere. The only suggestion I have is for the doctor/dental asst to communicate with the patient(especially teens) to let them know what they are getting ready to do when having any work done on them.

Negative experience: My granddaughter liked the old dentist better He was very sensitive and cheerful with the children. Mackenzie had her first cavity after 15 years,very small, but she was scared I felt he should have made the appointment sooner so it doesn't get larger.

Negative experience: I do not recommend and will not be going back with my little one. When I got to the front desk, I was asked to state my address and phone number in the open waiting room. I told the young lady at the front desk I didn't feel comfortable doing that in a small room filled with people. She preceded to asked if I lived at "my address" and repeated my phone number out loud. That should be a HIPAA violation for sharing patient information. The second thing was being told I had to sign a sedation form for my child prior to being provided the information for it. I did not like that at all.

Fantastic experience: Dr Harris is very professional and straight forward. He breaks things down so they're easy to understand. He makes my child feel comfortable in the office and at the surgery center. My son just had all his dental work done at the Surgery center and his teeth look amazing! I am very pleased with this office and the doctors. Everyone is always pleasant to interact with and they help me make a plan that works for my child. I definitely recommend them!

Positive experience: Today was my two year olds first ever dentist appointment. The office was really nice and clean the staff was pleasant. The hygienist made my son feel comfortable. The wait time was not bad. The problem that I did have is when the dentist came over to my son the hygienist was asking “are you gonna be a big boy and lay back” well before she could even finish her sentence the dentist was forcing my sons mouth open with his fingers between his teeth which caused him to resist and cry. Had he just been pleasant and asked him to open his mouth he would have done so. The dentist never said a word to me or my son. Definitely considering going elsewhere!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been taking my daughter here for almost 2 years now and I’ve never had a bad experience! I definitely recommend getting an early in the day appointment, it can get very hectic in the afternoons. Most of the hygienists are dental students but they’ve all been sweet with my daughter and very patient. The office is a little small for their patient load but it’s always clean. They also give a rubber duck to your kiddos at every appointment!

Fantastic experience: First time there and my experience was lovely. They were so gentle with my son and that’s all that matters to me.

Negative experience: I took my daughter there today because she is in extreme pain. She has a wisdom tooth coming in. The dentist was did not to be moved at all by our plight. I was told that her tooth couldn't be removed until January 5th. He didn't offer any pain medicine. He only told her to gargle salt water. Now everyone knows tooth aches are no joke. She is taking finals all week. Most of all like I said there was 0 compassion for what my child is going through. My child and I both left out in tears. If I have to wait until January I will, but after that I will not return. I will say the office staff was nice.

Fantastic experience: Our experience is/always great,the Dentist along with his assistants are AMAZING and really made my daughter experience great, I was actually more of a wreck than my daughter and they even made me feel that everything would be good,and it was. I highly recommend PDOC

Fantastic experience: We are so grateful for PDOC after some unpleasant experiences with other pediatric dentists. We traveled 3 hours upon recommendation, and Dr. Harris took excellent care of our son and helped give him a healthy, beautiful smile back. Alice moved mountains to get us scheduled and was extremely helpful every step of the way with all of the paperwork and insurance hurdles. You can trust this team will take wonderful care of your kiddo.

Fantastic experience: Dr Harris was fabulous. My son is autistic and really needed some teeth fixed. Dr Harris was able to quickly get him in and out. April, the surgery scheduler is an Angel! She worked for hours on an insurance issue for us and helped our family more than we could ever express.

Fantastic experience: Our appointment was at 7:30 am and the office was very busy. It was well organized, and everyone was friendly. My son had a cleaning, X-rays, saw the dentist, and we scheduled a follow up appointment. We were in the car by 8:10 am. Thank you.

Negative experience: Have been going to this office for 5 years. I never have been so disappointed in people. Their communication is horrible. Someone needs to be held accountable. They paid and I can't serviced or an apology from their wrong doing.

Negative experience: Waited a month for my child's appointment just NOT to be properly informed. Then lied twice on ways of miscommunication. Never been this inconvenienced in my life. More worried about confirming the appointment than the well being of the child.

Fantastic experience: Mrs. April the surgery coordinator was nothing short of amazing scheduling our son's surgery! Talking with her she made the experience so much calmer. His surgery was indeed a success.

Negative experience: I have been going to this place since my 21 year old twins were 4 years old. I now have a 4 year old daughter and a seven year old son who go here. And today will be their last visit here. The staff has been ever changing for the last couple of years, and not for the better. I’m just done! Far from professional. Far from what they used to be.

Fantastic experience: My son has been seen twice at PDOC and I just made them our primary dental office. Porsha was so helpful with our check and setting up our next appointments! My appointment was at 815am and my son had 2 teeth removed and was back to school by 915am! Fast service and great availability for appointments makes the difference!

Fantastic experience: My daughter needed to have 3 teeth extracted. Her dentist informed me they couldn’t pull her teeth. I called PDOC and was given an appointment for the same day. The dentist got her in 2 days later for her teeth extraction. He was so gently and patient with her. The dental assistant was also very sweet. I watched her rub my daughter arm while the dentist was numbing my daughter’s mouth. I can tell that PDOC really care about their patients. PDOC is now my daughters new dentist home.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Acosta and the staff are absolutely wonderful! They are so kind, patient and thorough. They treat you and your children like family and go above and beyond to make the dentist a pleasant experience. While we were at our last appointment, a special needs child and his family were treated with so much kindness and dignity I was impressed beyond words. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I cannot say enough great things about this practice!!

Fantastic experience: Shedida Robinson was really great with my son. Maisha and Ariel were patient, professional, and overall with him too. They have the magic touch! My son really loves his dental visits now.

Negative experience: My son has been going to this dental office 7 years and my daughter has been going there almost 4 years. My daughter had an outstanding balance that needed to be paid. I asked if the balance could be paid when I come back in the following week to have my son's cavities filled. I was told no. And I could not schedule HIS appointment until HER balance of $30 was paid. The 2 of them do not have the same insurance and I did not understand what his dental services had to do with her balance. I did like taking my kids there. However, they did just lose 2 patients. The balance will be paid but my son will have his cavities filled somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Harris was amazing. And Ms.April was a very great help and really fought hard for my child. She also educated me and for that I am forever grateful.

I’m very pleased with the facility, however on the day of our appointment the patients waiting room in the back was extremely hot and stuffy while the rest of the facility had air which was very uncomfortable.

Fantastic experience: Great atmosphere!!!!!! They are so awesome from the front desk clerks all the way up to the doctors. I really love how they make the children feel relaxed when they get nervous Thank you very much.

Fantastic experience: My baby was seen on 6/16/22. He was in pain and sacred, but they made him relax and he was able to get his work done with no problem. Thanks for a clean and pain free experience. Everyone was nice and friendly.....
