Fantastic experience: I am very appreciative of the care I receive every time I come for my routine exams and cleaning. Nikki, (hygienist) and Dr Suggs are very professional and do a great job. Not to forget, the reception office ladies are welcoming and friendly.

Fantastic experience: You'll never find another dentist like Dr. Covert. He treats his patients like they're friends or family if they aren't friends already. He really is there to help his patients and puts them and their oral health before anything pertaining to finances or insurance coverage.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time seeing Dr. Covert, and took longer with x-rays before cleaning. I mentioned to staff I had another appointment across town and if they start earlier. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient for over 20 years but haven’t reviewed Dr. Covert’s practice for a few years. It continues to be outstanding in every way. The staff at Dr. Covert’s office are efficient and friendly. Dr. Covert is a very skilled and experienced dentist. He is gentle, listens to his patients, and works quickly—a plus if you’re like me and hate being in that chair! He and his hygienists are especially patient and understanding with my disabled sister. I moved from San Antonio to Canyon Lake seven years ago but will always go back to Dr. Covert for my cleanings and other dental work.

Donna is very sweet and professional, and very thorough, but you can’t go wrong with any of the staff. Dr. Covert makes you feel very comfortable and I don’t dread going to the dentist! I recommend to anyone looking for a new dentistry. It doesn’t feel like a cattle call, but more like a small town dentistry where you are remembered every time you go. They take the time to get to know you, and there is never a wait time. That’s a plus!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Covert has been my dentist for several years. He has a great bedside manner, does amazing work and he is gentle which I found rare in a dentist. I switched insurance carriers once I learned Dr. Covert was no longer in their network. I highly recommend Dr. Covert DDS.

Fantastic experience: Staff very friendly as usual. My hygienist Donna is great. Takes the time to listen to my questions and comments. And explains everything very well. There is a small fee of $12 to help cover the extra safety equipment (covid safety) and precautions. Which I do not mind paying. Dr. Covert explains it very well. And it is a much higher cost for him and the staff. I will continue coming to see doctor Covert and his staff and will recommend them to everyone I know. This review was at the height of the covid pandemic. There is no longer safety equipment fee. Everything else this holds true. --Tony Maldonado- updated 05/26/2025

Fantastic experience: I called on a Wednesday due to pains in my jaw, they had availability for same day but I opted for a next day appointment before work. The check in was smooth and paperwork was simple and quick. I think I was only in office a total of 45 minutes, that’s from the moment I walked in, the exam, and leaving! I loved it, I wasn’t even late to work

Positive experience: My wife really likes Dr. Sugg and Stephanie, her new hygienist. We have been going to this dental office for a couple of decades now. Billing and insurance could be better explained and any possible overpayments refunded without having to call the office. Mailed or emailed statements following procedures would be a plus also.

Fantastic experience: Everything went great. The hygienist was terrific. Going back for some dental work. Going into my 4th visit, everything is going according to plan. Teeth pulled and getting crowns. Getting there. Months later, getting my upper and lower bridges next week. Can hardly wait.

Fantastic experience: I visited the office yesterday for a checkup and cleaning. The hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. I had requested a gentle cleaning and she was gentle but through and also friendly. Dr. Sugg always takes good care of my teeth. I’ve had fillings and crowns done by him and he makes sure that they are perfect and a comfort fit. I’m very pleased everyone in this office.

Fantastic experience: I’m 69 years old been to a few different dentist and by far this is the best. They take the time to understand your needs and concerns with your problems and will help you make the best decisions possible. Friendly staff members and doctor Office is always clean, including the urinal I also like how text messages to remind you a lot of other officers don’t do that and just wait for you to miss and then hit you with that $50 . I’m glad to have found this office and wish I had found they 10 years ago .

Fantastic experience: I am a new patient and was extremely impressed with the level of service. From the time I walked in the door I was greeted, filled out paperwork, was seen at my assigned appt. The Dental asst explained the entire process, approximate time of visit, did a complete cleaning with multiple test to make sure they didn't miss anything. The overall experience from start to finish was of the highest quality. All the work performed exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend visiting this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I don't have much of a review right now. However, what I can say about this place is that they don't try to upsell you things like "whitening your teeth" or things like that when you come in for a checkup. The nurses know how to place X-ray things in your mouth as well. Follow up review, some dental hygienists are familiar with neurodivergent patients and are extremely helpful with reminders (and should receive some commendations for them)
