Negative experience: Scheduled an appointment last week after seeing the dentist for a filling and a bridge. The receptionist took down the appointment for yesterday at one thirty. The work was going to be 3,500$ my husband called the day before and paid for the procedure so it would be less stress on me. I get there after waiting an hour for the appointment. I was nervous they take me back and only have me set up for the filling. Obviously I was upset. We paid for the bridge work and had scheduled the appointment for the filling and the bridge. I’m irritated because we already paid for the service and a different guy came in like a skuzzy used car salesman. Saying what can he do to make the situation better. I said by rendering the services we already paid for. Then he starts talking about how I might not need a root canal and they can do a cheaper procedure. I’m like that’s not what the other dentist said. And I don’t want work that is going to need work again later. I said just do my filling. 110$ for a filling reasonable. Then as I left I let them know to refund the remaining 3,390$ back to our credit card. Totally unacceptable!

Fantastic experience: I was in a very uncomfortable position with a tooth infection. Being from out of town I tried to get help. Mountain View was the only one that could get me in that day. Everyone there was very friendly and professional. Doctor told me what my problem was and gave me medication for my discomfort and told me what I needed to get done for my problem. They were great.

Fantastic experience: Truly a safe space for dental-fearing patients with amazing staff. I just started going to this location, but from the initial meeting to my first set of work getting done, they couldn't have been a better place to pick. I have an extreme fear of the dentist, and everyone has treated me kindly and professionally from start. It can feel overwhelming and embarrassing to have a fear of the dentist but they never let you feel that way here. Many options when it comes to getting your dental work done, I did nitrous oxide for the first time and found that it works pretty well for me, paired with efficient and painless work. For the first time since I can remember I had a good experience at the dentist. Would highly recommend this place if you want to feel good about where you go and amazing about your teeth after. Forever grateful to this place for how gentle, caring and attentive they are.

Fantastic experience: This is a great dental practice, I have been coming here for over 10 years. Dr. Guffey is outstanding my absolute favorite dentist. The staff is so caring and knowledgeable. There are two dental assistance that are absolute rock stars there, Jenna and Jo, one word: incredible. This time I had my front tooth chip and Dr. Bowden was so patient and explained everything in detail as to how he could fix this, thank you so much for taking the time to make sure I left confident with my smile :).

Fantastic experience: Went in today to get a couple fillings and I get a lot of anxiety before any dental work being done (to the point I’m tearing up as I sit in the chair), but Jenna was incredibly comforting, made me feel very at ease, and put a lot of my anxieties to rest. She talked about my different care options and best ways to get through the appointment and her advice really worked! She continued to check up on me durring the procedure and distract me by talking about love island while we waited for me to get numb. 10/10 patient care I love her. Dr. Rhett was also amazing and kept things light hearted and fun (as fun as fillings can be). He continued to check up on me as well and would give me warnings before drilling or poking or anything that might feel uncomfortable and was genuinely just so nice. Overall great experience with them I will be going back for any and all dental work and feel less scared about it in the future. Thank you both!!

Fantastic experience: From the initial phone call to schedule my appointment all the way through to the end of my visit, I would say my experience was absolutely amazing. I came in for a same day appointment from some dental pain and was pretty anxious since it was my first visit here. My issue ended up needing a bit more work than usual, but Dr. Sutton and assistants were so kind and patient the entire time. They really made me feel comfortable and cared for. You can tell they genuinely have your best interest at heart. From this experience, I definitely plan on coming back for any future dental work!

Fantastic experience: Mountain View Family Dental is the best dentist office I have ever gone to. My first appointment I was extremely nervous because I have had poor experiences with other offices in the past. Here they truly care about their patients. My hygienist the first time was Marlee she was extremely gentle, patient and thoughtful the entire process. Dr.Rhett is absolutely amazing too he didn’t make me feel bad about having a cavity and gave me realistic and helpful solutions to prevent further cavity’s from occurring. I unfortunately don’t have dental insurance but my front tooth had chipped. I booked a last minute appointment close to closing time but Dr.Rhett and his assistant Jenna agreed to help me. I then received a quote on the price by Heidi at the front desk and I was tearful due to knowing I wouldn’t be able to afford to fix this tooth for quite a while Heidi was extremely kind and told me to wait a second. Jenna offered me a tissue then Heidi helped me come up with a solution. Because of their time, kindness, and empathy my tooth is now fixed at a price I could manage. Such a huge shout out to Heidi, Jenna and Dr.Rhett I will forever recommend this place I appreciate you guys more than you know.

Negative experience: OCT 09 2024 WOKE UP (2 A.M.?) W ACUTE 8.5/10 THROBBING DENTAL PAIN IN AN UPPER CANINE. THE ENTIRE AREA WAS VERY SWOLLEN & BLOOD RED. READ MANY GOOGLE REVIEWS & LEFT FRANTIC MESSAGES AT SEVERAL. MT VIEW CALLED ME FIRST AND SAID I COULD BE SEEN ROUND 9 OR 10 A.M. I HAD TO DRIVE TO SAN DIEGO TO B ON A CRUISE SHIP TO LEAVE THE NEXT DAY SO I HURRIED OVER ASAP. ON ARRIVAL I WASN'T PRIORITIZED IN ANY WAY AND WAS LEFT SITTING IN LOBBY WELL AFTER FILLING OUT PAPERWORK... IN EXCRUCIATING WANNA SCREAM LEVEL PAIN!?! I GOT CALLED BACK AFTER AT LEAST 1/2 HOUR AND DENTIST TOOK ONE LOOK AT MY HORRIBLY SWOLLEN BALLOONED GUM AND BEGAN XRAYS. HE GOT REAL EXCITED BCUZ I HAVE A MOUTHFUL OF WELL ESTABLISHED IMPLANT POSTS; ONE WAS THE ONE INVOLVED. I KEPT TELLING HIM I KNOW I HAVE IMPLANTS... Positive experience: I am a frequent visitor at Mountain View Dental, so much they’ve decided it was time for me to start paying rent (cr: Dr. Rhett for the joke). In all seriousness though they’ve been great. The front office staff is always so friendly and welcoming. I especially appreciate how comfortable they make me feel throughout the entire visit. The dental team is professional and takes the time to explain everything clearly, ensuring I understand what is happening. Especially since after I had a tooth pulled and was in pain for a month. It was Dr. Rhett who took the time to listen and get to root of the problem - a bone splinter. I felt comfortable enough going back to him when it was time for some fillings. Jenna was especially helpful - from making sure I was comfortable with some snazzy shades and cozy blanket, to making sure my bite was ok and polishing my teeth. I also appreciate Lilly for cracking jokes with me while waiting one day and then following up with me a few weeks later. It meant a lot. The office itself is clean, modern, and well-organized, which made me feel at ease right away. Overall, I highly recommend Mountain View Family Dental to anyone looking for quality dental care in a friendly and comfortable environment.

The front desk ladies were very friendly and helpful in scheduling my appointment, while Dr. Bryant and his assistant Jenna made me feel at ease by thoroughly explaining everything. The wisdom teeth removal was completely painless, and my recovery has been smooth with minimal swelling or pain. It was late in the day, but I called anyway was told to bring her, even though the office was closed. I am super thankful for Dr. Bryant and also his assistant Jenna, who came back in to the office even after she had already gone home. Jenna even put on some good music to help calm my mom through the procedure. I highly recommend this office and their exceptional staff for their commitment to their patient care.

We had a very negative experience with the other dentist and Mountain View Family Dental was not only able to fix the problem from the other dentist, but they did it with kindness, compassion and a smile on every face.

Fantastic experience: This place was recommended to me by friends who are fans of this dentist office. I had a broken molar that needed a crown. I managed to get an initial appt the next morning, get assessed, and my dentist immediately started the process thanks to a cancellation. Efficient, careful work. Friendly staff. I’m going back in two weeks for the final crown. I recommend this place.

Positive experience: Total experience was great. I am needle shy so they did a good job to keep me distracted. But today I got a temporary crown and will need to wait 29 days until the real crown comes in. When the numbness wore off I could tell pretty immediately that the temporary crown was not a good shape. It is not bowl shaped like my other teeth. So when I put my teeth together, this tooth is the only one that makes contact. It’s kind of annoying that I will want to use the other side of my mouth to chew, but my teeth on the other side no longer come completely together because this temporary crush en stops them before they come completely together. So for the next 20 days I will need to almost chew my food :(

Positive experience: I have been going to Mountain View for years and my hygienist was very thorough in my cleaning as always. The dentist was attentive and gave me a referral to the endodontist for a tooth ache, possible root canal. My only question was the full set of x-rays that I got, the hygienist did not use the lead cover at all and she never left the room. Is the radiation exposure still a valid concern? Other than that. I had a great visit

Fantastic experience: This Dental office goes above and beyond for their patients and treats everyone like family. My daughter recommended us to go there because we were so unhappy with our former dentist. They have done their best to get us in absolutely as soon as possible in emergency situations. They treat you like you are their only patient. They are very compassionate and caring. The staff is so genuine. I live over 50 miles away and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. They have a monthly payment plan for those who don't have dental insurance. They have the absolute best denture (ARTIST) in Arizona and his name is Ben! He did an absolute beautiful job on my husband's dentures. I can't say enough good things about these people. I have to shout out to Jayda, who I will always remember. Her compassion and effort she made when my husband was in pain and all she did to get him in as soon as she could was extremely appreciated. You all are wonderful in my book!!!

Fantastic experience: Had a little Emergency today....3 cracked back teeth, YIKES! PAIN!! No sleep...Yadda-Yadda...and MORE PAIN!! Mtn View was the only facility I could find open on a Saturday morning, and although they were tightly booked, they found a way to work me in. I'm 77 yrs old, and Dr Rhett Sutton hands-down is the kindest, most skilled, caring and gentle dentist I've ever opened my mouth for :) He walked me through the entire process prior to the procedure, and that I appreciated more than words can express..and he's a lot more handsome than "Rhett Butler. You older folks will get it." Thanks to everyone at the office for making this painful visit a walk in the park.

Fantastic experience: I had to have an emergency tooth extraction, from my initial appointment to my extraction i was treated with empathy and kindness. My extraction made me severely nervous, the anesthesiologist was very kind and made me feel very comfortable. Dr bryant was kind enough to offer his hand to hold while i had my IV placed and the dental assistant, was a saint. I feel sometimes anxiety is overlooked when you are an adult, but this place really catered to that and made my experience great. I look forward to getting the rest of my dental work done with mountain view family dental.

I just had an appointment yesterday, I was super nervous as I was getting multiple teeth fixed at the same time. Jenna, Dr. Guffey and Dr Rhett fixed my teeth up, and they did an amazing job! They helped me fix a huge insecurity in my life that I thought I would never get fixed. I am obsessed with the work they have provided, and I’m comfortable with smiling with my teeth again. &&& Jenna is the best confidence booster, doesn’t matter what it is she’ll make you feel and look beautiful!!

Fantastic experience: I scheduled an emergency appointment as a new patient yesterday and was seen this morning. Taken care of with the utmost respect and attentiveness. Jenna is a rockstar and definitely helped take away all of my dentist anxiety which i tend to feel a lot of all the time. Can’t wait to start my oral health journey with this group ! UPDATE : It’s now been 4 months of me seeing Dr. Guffey and Jenna. I’ve undergone 3 oral surgeries, multiple appointments and truly they are the best team i’ve ever entrusted my oral health with. Nicole is a dream to walk in and check in with as well. They sure know how to make you feel safe in your dental work being done. Over all this is my home for any and all dentistry work and needs !! Would highly recommend to any and every one !

Fantastic experience: I was in a desperate need of a new dental clinic, I was referred to Mountain View Family Dental. I was having extreme tooth pain, and I was scheduled to see a dentist. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a warm and caring staff. A dental assistant took x-rays right from my exam lounging chair, and the dentist examined my mouth, and I definitely had an infection, so was scheduled for an extraction the next day (the only option in this case). He prescribed me meds for pain and to clear up the infection. Shortly after I got home, the clinic called me and said I could have the extraction done by another dentist the same day. I immediately returned and saw "Dr. Rhett" (first name). He and his dental assistant (I can't remember her name but she was excellent as well) did such a wonderful job getting the extraction done. I was numbed up very well due to the infection, and with no pain having that done. The extraction was painless and done very quickly. I am SO HAPPY to have found this dental clinic! The whole staff is absolutely the best, whomever you encounter. The office is welcoming, clean, and very calming. It's like sitting in a hotel lobby while you wait; no "medical" smell; no sounds that can scare you!! No one should be anxious to go to a dentist (I always have been). I would have no issues at all in seeing any of the dentists here. If you are in need of a dental clinic, I can highly recommend Mountain View Family Dental to put you at ease, keep you informed of any procedure you may have and treat you with respect and kindness. I am sure most dental clinics are compassionate about helping their patients, but for me, this will be my new clinic for any dental needs. Fantastic experience: This dental facility is amazing!!! I will be back. I went in for major tooth pain. They scheduled me in for an extraction the same day. I love that I don't think I disrupted scheduled appts.

Fantastic experience: This is a nice dentist, I went to get a sore tooth looked at, and they treated me nice. They took an x-ray, gave me an Rx and gave me a referral for some endodontic work. This is going to be me and family's dentist from now on.

Fantastic experience: Wow where to start! I’ve had multiple disastrous dental experiences in the past 10 years so I’m gun shy to say the least. But this staff truly cares about their patients. Everyone there was compassionate and accommodating! Ben was fantastic not only in his explanation but also the way he spoke with me. He was confident, reassuring and empathetic. Fantastic experience: Excellent Dental Hygienist. I was experiencing infections affecting my head and didn't realize it was coming from my gums. Emily suggested that I start using an electric toothbrush and Parodontax, a toothpaste that helps prevent bleeding gums. The infection cleared up shortly after implementing her suggestions and I'm sure it helped my gums too. Thank you!

Positive experience: **10/2/2024 Update- still great staff. The lady at checkout today must have been on an off mood, she wasn't very kind. Hopefully I was the only one treated rude today. Thanks for everything else. *** Professional, safe, clean, and most importantly, kind.

Fantastic experience: Okay let me start off by saying thank you for being so kind and helpful! I had an extraction done and I was SO nervous but the dr and Jenna the assistant help calm me down and feel Luke I was in good hands. They walked me threw everything and told me all my options that I could do for my tooth and I ended up with choosing yhe extraction. EVERYONE here is SO incredible nice and caring! I won't ever go to any other dentistry! Jenna also sang along to some of the song while we were taking out my tooth and me being very music divine ley me tell you that got me threw this whole experience calmly huming to her singing lol It was so fast and so easy I would 100000 times recommend them for ALL your dental care!

Fantastic experience: Wow they are the best dentistry in Arizona! Just had a crown put on by Dr Guffy and Jasmine. I could not be happier with the service they provided me. I am not the best when dealing with dental work on my teeth but they put me at ease and helped me get through it. If you need any kind of dental work this is the place you should go. Fantastic experience: Dr. Bryant and his assistant Jenna, are so awesome! First time visiting them, I don't normally have good experiences with dentists but he is top notch. They made feel comfortable and without any pain! Heck his whole staff seemed to actually care about me! I highly reccomend Mountain View Family Dental!

Fantastic experience: First time there and I can say this is a very organized office. So, as you’d imagine the office runs smooth without long waits and you actually are called back within 5 minutes or less of your appointment time. The office is clean and the dentists in the office are very knowledgeable and not about charging you for anything and everything just to make an extra buck, but rather express what’s best for you. By far the best office I’ve attended. I will be going back.

Fantastic experience: I would give this office a million stars if I could — Mountain View Family Dental is simply phenomenal. The staff are so warm, friendly, and considerate of your needs. They make every effort to provide you the utmost exceptional care and comfort. I was worried about having my first root canal, but Dr. Bryant made me feel at ease and the procedure felt like a walk in the park! No pain or discomfort whatsoever. I then had some trouble with a temporary crown, and Dr. Guffey met with me to repair it, on a Saturday night nonetheless! I moved to Arizona a little over a year ago and I’m incredibly grateful to have found this office. Most people don’t love going to the dentist, but the staff here make everything simple and worry free! A special thanks to Dr. Bryant, Dr. Guffey, Carleen, Elena, Liu, Jenna and Joanna for helping me to regain a healthy, confident smile! I’ve referred my partner here and he’s looking forward to his first appointment. I’ll refer Mountain View to everyone I know!

Fantastic experience: It's been several years since I've been to the dentist and I was very apprehensive with my appointment. From the time I walked through the office doors to the time I left, I was met with professionalism, friendliness and an eager from everyone to make me feel comfortable. I was very impressed that the staff went into details explaining what they were going to do, how I was going to feel and expectations from my visit. In my opinion; they went well over and above to make sure that I was comfortable and that my visit would be positive and successful. I'm going on 57 years old, I would say this is the first time I've been to the dentist office where I did not feel any pain whatsoever .. You all are fantastic, and I'm happy to have found a new dentist office that I can call home. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had my 1st visit today at Mountain View Family Dental and was very impressed. Everyone was extremely kind, courteous and very patient with me. My comfort and dental concerns were important to the staff. I've never experienced a dental practice that was as thorough in their exam and assessment. The girls in the front office are great. Heidi took her time in explaining the purposed plan for my care and helped to minimize my anxiousness. I'm so glad I found them.

Negative experience: Do not waste your time here. When I went there and was already sitting in the chair they came to me and told me how much it would cost me after insurance, but when I was done and had to pay they bill, they tried to charge me more and are still trying to send me a bill for more, even though I paid what they told me it would be.. Will never recommend or ever go back... Do not try to blame this on insurance!! It was your employee that told me what they covered and what my portion would be. You should honor what you quote your customers just like I do at my job!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Guffey was warm and very personal. Excellent bedside manner with a smile. No judgment. Amelia was so educational as the dental assistant and really calming. I met with Dr. Bryant who had the best handshake and smile. I’m comfortable knowing his going to fix my root canal. I would recommend this office. Jada the receptionist is so friendly and you can tell she loves her job. I’m a forever patient now.

Fantastic experience: I can't say enough about this practice. So many offices could learn from them...how to make patients feel comfortable and welcome. From the front office staff to Jenna the dental assistant and Dr Bringhurst...everyone was pleasant, compassionate and professional. I had a terrible toothache while visiting and they fit me in on a busy Saturday. I am so impressed and disappointed that I live too far away to make them my regular dentists. Anyone who is able to do that will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I came here today because I had a crack tooth and need other work done. I am new to the Mesa area, I also have a very high fear of dentist due to past trauma. All I can say is that the words in the picture I have posted with this review is definitely this facility!
