Fantastic experience: This place is very efficient and well run. The kids actually look forward to going. I highly recommend it... And I don't do that very often for dental or medical services.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience! All of the dental techs were friendly and funny and made my 3 year old feel special. She walked in scared and came out wanting to go back! The entire staff from the front to the back were amazing! Don’t know why this place is reviewed so low but we can’t wait to go back!!
Fantastic experience: My son had a great experience with Dr. Christina and the all of the assistants. Great atmosphere and very friendly front desk.
Negative experience: Hygienist and dentist were good. However scheduling only 1 dentist and an operation during several cleanings was not a good practice. 6-7 kids were waiting 20-30 minutes to be seen by the dentist after the hygienist was finished due to the dentist being in an operation.
Fantastic experience: Best dental office I’ve taken my daughter to, they truly care about your child’s comfort and do their best to make them feel safe. I am happy we found this place, and they take Tricare!

Fantastic experience: My kids went to the same dentist in GA for 12 years. When we moved I wanted to find a pediatric dentistry that had the same values. Today was my son’s first appt with Weis and we loved it. They made him feel comfortable, answered all his questions from being nervous and ended the appt with him giving his hygienist a hug.

I felt comfortable my kids felt comfortable the staff was kind and it was very inclusive. Everything explained before they started. I wish i could go there but its only for 18 and younger LOL!

Fantastic experience: Our little guy went today for his second visit (he’s 22 months old). It went so well! They are great with him and made sure the visit was efficient so he wouldn’t get too upset being held down. He came home so excited to show me not only a balloon and a bouncy ball - but two bouncy balls!!! We were in and out in no time and feel great knowing our little guys teeth are growing in healthy and strong.
Fantastic experience: The atmosphere was great, the staff was amazing, and I love the feeling of family. My daughter always enjoys her trips to the dentist! The best in town
Fantastic experience: The staff is always friendly. My kids love it here. Each staff member has always made my kids feel comfortable. My kids love being able to answer for themselves and ask the staff any questions they may have regarding their treatment. (of course I am there to make sure my kids are honest with the staff.) The staff always takes their time a never make us feel rushed. They've all been amazing and my kids never have the same dental hygienist. Oh a just make sure you are on time. If you are late to your appointment your child will not be seen, they are always so busy they do not have a time window of 10-15 mins. If you are late, they will reschedule your appointment, it has happened to me and I REFUSED to argue or be rude because we were late. They were extremely nice about it and they did everything they could to get us rescheduled. We were able to come back the next day and I was definitely on time.

Fantastic experience: The patience and kindness shown from the hygienist and dentist today could not be matched.. it’s not as common anymore that you go somewhere and get the feeling that the ones working there truly care about your child as a person and not just the next patient. My son has a lot of anxiety with doctors/dentists. Last visit he got so worked up we ended up with throw up all over us (not their fault). Today we walked in with him in tears and scared. When we got to the back the hygienist took the time to talk to him and make him comfortable before doing anything. That extra effort went a long way. He willingly made it through his whole appointment.. x rays and all this time! He got a balloon, a sticker, some coins for prizes which the hygienist helped him open and put on his shoes (he got a couple croc charms). And then the dentist during that time talked to me about any concerns with the x rays and showed me comparison x rays for better understanding. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything. I’m hoping this memory will stick with him and he no longer has to be in fear before we even leave the house knowing it’s appointment day next time.

Negative experience: I dont know what was going on but like 5 people came in after us and left before us..I even ask one lady what time was there appt and it was after ours. Then im pretty sure one of the girls at the desk realized we were still sitting there. The hygienist cane out and apologized for the wait but im pretty sure we were overlooked.

Fantastic experience: Staff is very friendly at the Chesapeake location and they put my kids at ease with their pre-dentist visit jitters, even my youngest who’d never gone before! They did a thorough cleaning, checking for cavities, and my kids especially loved getting a prize at the end.
Fantastic experience: My daughter had a pretty scary bike incident that completely destroyed her front permanent teeth they got me in less than 24 hours and my daughter was able to go to school the next day with her head up high and as confident as ever! Negative experience: HORRIBLE WAIT TIME My son was scheduled to go under anesthesia at 10:30 but the front desk said he might not get seen till 12 because of the others ahead of him. Then why schedule him for this time if he's not gonna get seen at this time? He has not eaten since the night before, 9pm coz those were the instructions. They need to get these appointments scheduled earlier and fix their scheduling. We are paying too much to be waiting this long and they are starving my child

Fantastic experience: They treated my sons who are on the spectrum with compassion and attentiveness. They explained what they were going to do before they did it which made my lil one calm and collected.
Fantastic experience: We just left a visit with Dr Coleman and she was AMAZING. My son is on the spectrum and gets super anxious with dental appointments. The staff and Dr Coleman made him feel comfortable and they were so courteous and patient with him. My son even gave the hygienist a hug in the way out!

Negative experience: Was a very good dentist the few times I took my son. Went for an appointment that had been made last summer to be told they no longer accept his insurance. Very disappointing.
Fantastic experience: My one year old daughter’s second visit was really good. Every one was so welcoming and understood how to engage with the children which was a big plus. Although she didn’t want anyone near her teeth, they did a phenomenal job trying to calm her to complete the appointment.

Positive experience: The staff are polite. Usually, they would call you pretty fast after checking in, but today we had been waiting in the lobby for another 40mins after we checked in at our appointment time.

Negative experience: I was literally 1 minute late walking into the office because I getting my baby out the car seat. I received a call while outside and I let them know I was already in the parking lot and the rep said ok. I walk in and was told I had to reschedule because I was late. Why not tell me that while I was in the parking lot. Highly disappointed I canceled all further appointments. It’s also always long wait times. Currently looking for another dentist office.

Fantastic experience: My experience today at the dental office was great. With my daughter having down syndrome she gets very inpatient if we are sitting to long and today it wasn't long at all waiting. The young lady that work with us was very productive professional and cared about my daughter needs. We was in and out.

Negative experience: The last few times I’ve been have me completely reconsidering this dental office. A few appointments ago, I want to say around June, my oldest two had their cleanings done. We waited almost 2 hours after their cleanings for the dentist to come look at their teeth. I was completely understanding and acknowledged that things happen. My kids are 5 and 6. So of course they were a handful trying to wait that long and I also had a kiddo under 1. So it was a difficult appointment needless to say. Well fast forward to two weeks ago I had scheduled a next day appointment for my daughter because her tooth was pushed into the gums. They scheduled it for a cleaning. Which was kind of irritating because they tried to go forward with the cleaning appointment. I told them no. Because she was in pain and she had an appointment scheduled for today with her brother, so no need to cause even more pain to the area. Fast forward to today, they have NO grace period. I was less than 5 minutes late and they told me they could only see 1 of my children. My appointment was at 2:40 for one and 3:20 for the other. I got in the parking lot at 2:42 and after rounding up all the kids, into the building at 2:44. I accidentally took the wrong turn on the way there, that is what caused me to run behind. It is extremely frustrating that a grace period isn’t offered when we are supposed to give grace to them when they have us waiting for 2 hours. Of only that, but I wait at least 15-20 minutes in the waiting room for every appointment before they even call us back. So why they couldn’t see us still is insane to me. I have a TON of patience. But today really upset me. I ended up canceling both appointments and leaving. I am in the process of finding another dentist for my children.

Positive experience: We had a same day appointment because my daughter had severe swelling and pain. While on the back room getting a cleaning the assistant was very rough on my child in the area she was having pain. She needed 2 teeth pulled and I was told that she needed antibiotics. The dr (who was absolutely sweet as can be) stated we needed to come in next week. When checking out the woman at the front desk making our appointment was rude, never smiled once and when I explained that waiting over a month for the dental work that is causing so much pain and infection wasn’t doable she told me oh well that’s all we got. Then proceeded to tell me to call every day at 1pm to see if there is an opening that day. As a full time working mother that is almost impossible. In addition while in the back getting a cleaning the other assistants were discussing how the last patient put them behind because she was screaming (this child was 3 years old and at her first appointment). Then they said there was an 11 years old old, 2 year old and baby and they took dibs on who got who because, and I quote, “I only want older kids because I can’t deal with crying”. I also learned all about one of the staffs mothers and how awful she is and how she put on a good show when she stopped by. I love the drs there and we go because my daughter has severe anxiety and they are so kind and patient but if this had been my first time I would never go back after. As an adult that made me upset, imagine how my young daughter felt hearing kids like her are annoying and a problem while having an assistant scrubbing hard in your pain area and not listening that you are scared.
Fantastic experience: Great appt! Got my son in for an emergency appt and they were quick and efficent. My son is pretty shy but they made him feel welcomed and he opened up really fast! Will continue to take my son here and am looking forward to more great treatment! ☺️
Negative experience: After 10 years, I had to say goodbye today. While the dentists are PHENOMENAL, the current front desk staff members at the Chesapeake location lack the disposition needed to work their position. They are unwelcoming with questionable decision making skills and the first is a nonnegotiable for me. Today, enough was enough. I wish the back end staff well and would gladly recommend them once these ladies move on to other endeavors.

Fantastic experience: Always love the staff. So far 3 visits and we have never waited over 10 mins to be seen. Staff is always friendly and respectful of my kids. Before anything is done they are always asking for my input. My kids 6 and 9 love going so much so that my 6 year old asked for another cleaning 6 mins after getting out of the chair stating "it is so relaxing and calming."
Fantastic experience: They were very nice. They tried to do a thorough cleaning on her. Very informative about their dental work. Been coming here since my kids were about 3 or 4 yo. Pleased with them. Unset that they wouldn't let an adoptive mother bring her kids w/o adoption paperwork. Had been adopted for years. Made her drive 30 minutes to get paperwork and them told her they could only see one. My children are adopted. I would have left and never returned. You could have told her to bring next time. Very unprofessional and no regard for her time and energy.
Positive experience: Took my 2 year old for her first cleaning appointment. Hygienist and Dr. Lynette were so gentle, upbeat, and wonderful! My girl wasn't scared at all. I was able to go back with her. My only grievance is they schedule your next appointment for you. While I can appreciate reasons why they do so and the fact that I could call and change it, I think it would be much less stressful for parents to be able to schedule it themselves as part of a check out process.
Fantastic experience: My daughter said she would rate them 1000 stars. The entire staff was so nice, warm and welcoming. She was super nervous and they made that all go away. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Definitely recommend!
Fantastic experience: From the front office staff, to the hygienist, to the dentist...very friendly, professional, and easy to talk to. The tweens/teens were very comfortable and felt that they were listened to.

Fantastic experience: Weis Dental gets 10/10 across the board, from making the appointment, filling out paperwork online, and the service with the assistants and the dentist, everything was amazing. Negative experience: I had 2 Techs 3 children. 1 tech was good and busy doing 2 of them. The other text did 1 and wasn't very nice until the doctor came in. The same applies to other Techs in the room. The room came alive when she came in. No one engaged in conversation or even smiled. Makes me want to change dentists!

Fantastic experience: 10 out of 10. Our experience today was great! My daughter was extremely nervous for this visit but the staff was phenomenal with my daughter. Our previous dentist office referred us to Weis Dental since they couldn’t seem to numb my daughter properly for her procedure..Weis Dental was able to get the job done on the first try.
Fantastic experience: This was my baby first dentist at 10 months she has a total of like 8/9 teeth she was a little upset but they took very good care of my baby and she was calmed once the fluoride was in she starting tasting it and was like mhmm yummy

Negative experience: 8/15/24 edit: I've lowered my review to 2 stars. As my son has gotten older (4.5yrs now), he has become more fearful at appointments, and the staff expects us to restrain him for services. A nurse repeatedly asked me if he has had any trauma that could have caused this behavior, which was a huge turnoff. Ultimately we decided to remove him from this practice to a facility more gentle and willing to work with a scared child. My son is 2 and 1/2 years old and has visited Weis Dental twice. I thought he would be scared, but both experiences have been so positive! The doctors take their time, explain everything thoroughly (while addressing him instead of me, which I love), and are so gentle. The nurses are so sweet and caring and you can tell they love what they do! The front desk staff are always friendly when we enter and check-in is quick and smooth! Overall I love Weis Dental and I would not take my son anywhere else.

Positive experience: Fine, just upset that she had a filling done in April and we find out that it has fallen out and we have to go back in October. Hope the next one last, no one likes to go to the dentist and this just makes it worse. Plus we live on the Outer Banks, that makes it an all day event.

Fantastic experience: I love taking my daughter to Weis Dental. This was her second cleaning and we were lucky enough to get Jessica as our hygienist! Jessica is so patient and sweet with our girl. She truly makes it fun for her and maintains a clean workstation. You can tell she works diligently to help others as well as she was helping those around her and providing supplies to those who needed it. She’s the best, hands down!
Fantastic experience: Everyone is very kind and professional. We’ve been going to Weis Dental for about a year and a half for my 7 year old daughter. Every appt has been excellent. We utilize their savings plan because it’s a great deal. My daughter LOVES loves it there. We’ve talked about switching to someone closer to us (we live an hour and a half away) and she’s literally devastated about the potential change! I was worried about her going back alone without me, and she was too at first. But she says the nurses and dentists are soooooo nice and loves the prizes!
Negative experience: Main topic - billing issues / double billing Overall an okay experience for a handful of appts while we were stationed here, with the dental hygienists and dentists. HOWEVER, our last appt was an issue. We’re a military family who is moving from the area. Our child was going to have a gap in care because of the move (staying with family until our new rental is available).. There were going to be 3-4 months of a gap in care. We were called a couple days before the appt to tell us that insurance wasn’t going to cover it because he was a month early, so we decided to pay out of pocket. We paid fully out of pocket at this office in April 2024 so that our child could have an appt that would be covered by insurance upon arriving to our new duty station in July 2024. We received a call from our new office on a Friday for a planned visit the following Monday stating that the appointment wasn’t going to be covered until December 2024 because he just had an appt that insurance paid for in April. I stated that this was an out of pocket appt and that I would look into it. Well… we paid out of pocket but the office STILL BILLED THE INSURANCE. They said they can’t fix any of it and now our child can’t have another appt until December 2024. Bottom line, their billing is sketchy and be careful. They’re “refunding” us because insurance paid them $25 and now we have a credit on our account. Deeply disappointed because we never would have seen this refund (that we do not want back. It should be sent to our insurance and the claim should be void because IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE BILLED TO INSURANCE and it’s truly messing up our health/dental care plan for our child) and also because they never would have sent the $$$ to us if we didn’t inquire about it. The person from billing was rude and unwillingly to accept responsibility/work through this. She was on a 3 way call with insurance and abruptly hung up at the end as she said “we’ll mail your refund” as I was trying to tell her that I have a new mailing address that she’ll need to send it to and all we (insurance agent and I) heard was “click” and we were equally as surprised and upset. The billing staff member then had to call me back about 30 minutes later and ask for my new address, to which I expressed that had she not hung up, she would’ve heard me trying to tell her my new mailing address. All of that said - we obviously won’t be back because we moved but if we were still in town, we would be seeking dental care elsewhere. Unprofessional, sketchy and uncomfortable billing practices that have really put us in a pickle for establishing care at our new duty station. Especially because we were trying to be so proactive about all of it. Overall we’re just disappointed we gave this office our business and you should reconsider going here or be vigilant with checking your bills.

Fantastic experience: The sweetest atmosphere! My daughter is super shy and standoffish but this crowd brought her completely out of her shell! Would highly recommend, she’s so excited to come back.
Fantastic experience: The hygienist and Dentist were awesome! They were so nice and explained everything to my talkative 4-year-old. They also have tokens they give the kids after they finish to put into the machine for a prize. Very satisfied with this staff.
Positive experience: I've been bringing my kids here for years. Friendly staff but every single time we go, the wait is at least 30+ minutes. It's getting old, fast. If you don't mind waiting for a long time, I recommend them. If you're like me and don't have the time to sit in a waiting room for a long while, find someone else

Negative experience: I waited an hour for my daughter’s appointment. I asked several times and was told they were behind and to please be patient. After an hour, one of the receptionists asked me if I had a question, I replied “no I’m waiting for my daughter’s appointment which was an hour ago”. I was then informed that I would need to reschedule because they didn’t have a dentist. I was very frustrated because I was missing work and my daughter was missing school. I asked multiple times why no one said that to me when I asked multiple times, and she just kept telling me I needed to reschedule. I walked out and am now looking for a new dentist for my children. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL on so many levels.

Positive experience: I was not impressed with the bedside manner the doctor showed with my son. She lacked patience when he didn’t understand quickly what she was asking him to do. I chose a pediatric dentist because I was under the impression that a pediatric dentist might have more patience with my child than a general doctor. On top of that, we waited almost 30 mins to be seen by the doctor because she was doing treatment on another patient. Perhaps scheduling was an issue but it was not fair to my son to have to wait so long and then be treated like he was inconveniencing her.

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with Weis dental for my toddler with sensorial issues. The dentist and the assistant gained my toddler's trust through respecting his time ,needs and he has been doing so well .As a mom this is the kind of environment I look for when taking my son to. Front desk staff also super welcoming, friendly and respectful

Fantastic experience: This office is so clean, professional, and has outstanding customer service! My daughter Margo is alway excited for her appointments with these ladies! Fantastic experience: We love it here at the chesapeake location. My daughter has been coming here for almost 2 years. They are very professional and quick. They are also patient for those that are apprehensive about new places and people. I'm always "in the loop" about her care. They listen and address any concerns that I might have. The highlight for my daughter is the prize machine at the end of course. I would highly recommend this office to anyone with little ones.

Fantastic experience: Easy Care! No hassle for new patient process. Good experience with the flexible appointment schedule. Weis Team were a welcoming bunch, from lobby to hygienist chair. More importantly my Kiddo was comfortable and staff attentive to my concerns during and after x-ray process. Happy to make the switch to this Chesapeake location.
Fantastic experience: 100% recommend , our dental hygienist, dentist, and front desk clerk were all amazing. My 2yr old daughter needed 3 cavities fixed and they were so gentle and patient with her. She did so good with her treatment because they made her so comfortable! Her forever home :)
Negative experience: If I could leave a 0 I would.. ‼️Do NOT take your babies to WEIS dental ‼️ In July 2023, my little guy (3 at the time) went for his routine cleaning.. they found ONE very small cavity starting to form, and wanted to fill it, obviously. I couldn’t get an appointment until October to fill it. October comes around, they have to cancel, and move it to January 2024. Thankfully, they had a cancellation at the beginning of December and called me to come in. We go in, they said his cavity has gotten worse and they need to put a crown on it. They scheduled the crown for right after Xmas.. we go in, and I was already upset they wouldn’t let me go with him, since he was only 3. They finish the crown, and come out and tell me he did great, no issues… Fast forward to 3 days ago, my little guy (now 4) has been crying non-stop, unable to eat, or sleep and complaining his tooth hurts. We are home in Illinois for spring break, so I am trying to get him seen at our previous dentist while we are here. We get to his appointment, they do X-rays, and an exam.. they don’t see any other cavities or issues but the dentist looks at his crown and it just popped off with barely any force… he does another X-ray to check the tooth underneath and he find that his NERVE is exposed! He said WEIS did no root protection prior to the crown, and didn’t clean the tooth which cause it to continue decay, hitting the nerve. Basically they shaved the tooth down, and put a crown over an infected tooth. Just like a bandaid! My poor boy had to get his tooth pulled today, with lots of force to hold him down, which could have 100% been prevented have they done the crown the proper way. This isn’t the only thing that Weis has done, but this is the LAST. They just want your money!!

Fantastic experience: Always very nice and even though there is no grace period, they work you in to the schedule. Very professional and my children always leave happy. The staff is very professional and literally play around with my children to make them more comfortable.
Fantastic experience: 5 stars because everyone was pleasant! My daughter and I, both had a wonderful experience! They are great at their jobs! My 2 year old daughter was comfortable and it made for an easy visit. I found out today that they don’t have a grace period which I don’t agree with personally but I also understand the importance of being on time! Overall, great experience and I can only hope that we continue to receive the same wonderful service during each visit! Thank you, Weis Dental!
Fantastic experience: Everyone was super nice as usual - From front of Office till the end. The dentist was very sweet and personable and as was the dental assistant. She did a wonderful job at making my nervous 11-year-old daughter comfortable.
Negative experience: I have never had a HORRIBLE experience here until this morning. It’s 8:19 as I type. My son has an appointment at 8. We were 5 minutes behind so I told him to go in as WE have done before while I park the car. This time I was out of gas, so in order not to have the car shut off (not your problem of course) I got gas prior to parking. So because I wasn’t inside as he was checking in he was bumped. I could see if we were 15 or 20 minutes late but that was not the case. Sometimes companies and PEOPLE should learn to extend some grace because maybe that was the one thing that could have made or break the day. Thank you for NOT being gracious.
