I came in just to ask if they accepted my insurance, and they were nice enough to take me on the same day! Everyone at the front desk, all the hygienists, and the dentists are so friendly. All the great reviews are what brought me in, but the amazing people are what will bring me back. I highly HIGHLY recommend RenovaSmiles! Aaron is phenomenal! He’s the best hygienist in town. I wait months to make sure he sees me and my teeth! He’s so knowledgeable and kind and makes every visit feel so valuable! Nahum is also great! He was kind, gentle, and so friendly! Everyone at the Falls Church location is beyond wonderful!

Dr. Eliana Anderson was very professional. She explained how to care for my Invisalign and provided great recommendations. RenovaSmiles is a wonderful dentistry group! Also, Benjamin was very kind and professional at the front desk.

Negative experience: Our experience at RenovaSmiles (Falls Church) was deeply disappointing and concerning. Dr. Joshua W. Anderson attempted to pressure my wife into getting a root canal, despite her clearly stating that she did not want the procedure. After she declined, his attitude shifted drastically — he became cold, dismissive, and unprofessional. What was most disturbing was the comment he made before removing her tooth: “I swear this is going to hurt so bad.” That is completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior from someone in the medical field. He displayed a lack of compassion and respect during the entire process. My wife left the office in tears due to the way she was treated. This was not just a bad visit — it was a traumatic experience. I would never recommend this clinic to anyone, and I hope they seriously reconsider how they treat patients moving forward.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Anderson is insanely good at what he does! The staff are all welcoming. I’ve gotten my wisdom teeth removed before by a surgeon and before that by another dentist, it was slightly painful and uncomfortable… With Dr. Anderson I had no idea he had already pulled my tooth out, it was that quick. My appointment was at 10:30 I was out by 11am. Timely appointments and timely care! Also a shout out to Louise, the dental hygienist. She is very thorough and did such a great deep cleaning!

This office does such an amazing job of explaining everything thoroughly, guiding you on what to do for your best health and making you feel relaxed and comfortable. Today I worked with Brandon,, Zion and Dr.Rosas and each of them were so calm and caring and knowledgable.

Negative experience: My visit today was not the best dr. Zion She felt rushed and annoying my gums and was careless with the instrument in my mouth. She may have done a good job cleaning my teeth, but her care was not pleasant. I've been coming to this location for awhile now and this was my first unpleasant experience. 8/4/2025. Thank you, R. Negative experience: This office’s billing department is a literal joke. They try to overcharge you then make it so difficult to get a refund. Any other time I’ve been overcharged in a medical office, I’ve gotten an automatic refund or a check in the mail (without asking). This office didn’t even tell me I had a negative balance on my account. They would’ve never told me if I didn’t ask them specifically to check my billing history which is absolutely ridiculous. I have yet to receive my refund and that negative balance has been on my account for over 8 months.

Positive experience: I went in for broken teeth and they came up with a solution that would take away my pain. The office manager was extremely kind and empathetic.

Fantastic experience: Doc Anderson and his staff are phenomenal. Everyone was very patient with questions and concerns, and service was above and beyond. Looking forward to my next appointment. Thank you everyone. Also, meeting a birthday twin was a nice cherry on top.

Positive experience: I was very disappointed to find out that my upper tracks would have to accommodate my lower tracks by making my false tooth (upper) shorter than before. It had not been explained to me in detail so I felt blind sided. This appointment was overdue for several reasons beyond my control. I was there 3 hours but most of it was spent waiting on the doctor’s consultation. Somewhere during the fitting of my new track the lower wall of my jaw was cut and now I have a painful blister inside my mouth. The service has been less satisfactory during my last two visits.

Fantastic experience: The staff was nice! Service was excellent. The fluoride is an additional $32. It appears to be a must. She took her time with my teeth, however. I was provided x-rays and a full exam of my teeth and gums by my hygienist. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Be aware. Please see their reviews in Yelp. Looks like they pay for Google, but not Yelp. Dr Anderson is a crook, and will sell you services that you don't need. I lost several teeth due to malpractice.

Listen I typically wait days before giving a review unless the experience was absolutely horrible- at which point I immediately update folks on what to be careful of with said business. BUT I have to say that Dr. Lobo is amazing! Chair side manners, techniques and communication skills are about the best! I’d visit him again for work needed for sure.

Fantastic experience: Eric was phenomenal! New patient to the clinic and it was a great experience. They take care of you very well and inform you on all things cost, insurance and are very patient. Parking was not easy to find but front desk was super helpful and walked me outside to show me where to park.

Positive experience: 4.5 stars. One of the best dental cleaning I’ve had in years! Eric is gentle and thorough all at the same time. My teeth my were cleaned meticulously without my gums bleeding and in pain (like the usual cleanings). Highly recommend Eric! However, I’m deducting half a star because the front desk kept the free hygiene kit that the hygienist gave me. It’s not a huge issue, but it didn’t feel right. Otherwise, everything else was excellent!

They take the time to explain everything and make sure you understand your treatment options. Sam was a great hygienist as well. The office manager Juan was sweet, kind, and great at his job. Negative experience: Where to start… they permanently screwed up my teeth for life due to their Invisalign “services”. And then refusal to release medical records. Years later I am still in pain, have trauma from pain and issues caused by them, and during my last appointment when requesting records they refused when I stood there in person and then refused via email. During Invisalign treatment, they once “forgot” to place on the attachments (what Invisalign uses to connect to the teeth) my teeth would shift in wrong directions due to the missing attachments, they would then rescan my teeth after they did not properly shift-from their errors. Once I was schedule for an appointment, sat in the waiting room and then waited in the dental chair for staff to then tell me the doctor who they scheduled me was not even in that day/date. The office manager would state “yes, you can have your records” and then withhold them; how is that legal? I spent over $3,000 to deliberately screw up my teeth, from the pain Invisalign has caused from the jamming of the teeth, not properly spaced, but they also “shaved”/removed my teeth layers to have the “buttons” be able to “attach on”, my teeth are now crooked but also shaped like squares - not teeth, due to the “shaving” that was “necessary” to have the attachments. During my final visit, I was due for my 6 month AND had an Invisalign appointment scheduled. I was to have the Invisalign removed and then the cleaning and checkup. They “ran out of time” and dissolved my cleaning appointment. I am not sure if my insurance was even notified but they paid for a cleaning I didn’t receive. I also inquired about a brown spot on my tooth (never had a cavity or history) the doctor denied it was a cavity. I sought another medical office who was confused because YES it was certainly a cavity. I now have not only physically looking messed up teeth, but now cavities, and constant pain. I do not understand how this monopoly is legally practicing but I hope to prevent others from serious issues that they caused and are not competent enough to fix or even release records… which I didn’t know was even legal. *noted to add that YES I have not visited there in years… why would someone continue to visit such a service that PERMANENTLY ruined teeth/dental and refused to release records so I could visit another provider! Hoping to save someone else $3,000, their teeth, and THEIR Health including mental!!! Should have licenses removed!!!! This place should be investigated…. I will add I saw Dr. Anderson but there are two.

Fantastic experience: Louise was absolutely phenomenal! Kind, caring, patient, and gentle. Truly the best hygienist I’ve ever had. I had to request a different dentist, but Juan, the office manager was quick to suggest someone new, Dr. Komilova, who was a much better fit. The receptionist staff was polite and professional, and the wait time to be seen was minimal. The team will work hard to make sure you feel comfortable with your providers and explain the cost breakdown of every service. Overall, wonderful experience.

Doctor K. made me feel included while she was doing the procedure, making sure that I am not in pain. Which is a plus!! I've had three hygienists here, all terrific and kind, including Louise and Kim. The front desk staff, like Andrea, are always helpful and welcoming. Negative experience: This operation targets recent immigrants with the lure of $99 Dental exam, x-rays, cleaning and a free whitening kit. When they are seated for the cleaning, they ask them to pay $481. I made an appointment for a new immigrant whose English is weak and I was assured, he will only pay $99. I made it clear that he is a cash patient. They lied to us. I will be contacting Virginia Department of Health and Fairfax County Consumer Affairs. This happened an hour ago. Be carful of this scam.
