Negative experience: Wait time was terrible. I waited an hour and a half to be seen for an appointment that was rescheduled upon their request. Got there at 4:40pm for a 5pm appointment and left after 6:40pm.

Positive experience: I'm a new patient since my previous dentist had retired. The staff was great! The facility and equipment looked up to date. Dr Patel gave me an overview after reviewing my X-rays. He didn't push anything I didn't want or need. My cleaning was done by Ling who was pleasant. Overall, a great checkup and visit! The only thing I would say that can be done better is to go ahead and schedule my next visit in 6 months.

Fantastic experience: Had dental surgery & felt almost no pain. They make you feel very comfortable

Positive experience: I had an appointment for cleaning at 10 am. The procedure was excellent, and the service was professional as always. However, the wait was extremely long, over an hour. The person at the front desk apologized for the delay and explained that it was due to unforeseen circumstances. Despite the extended wait, the service was still very good. Thank you.

Negative experience: Wish i could give zero starts. Awful. Waiting room and bathrooms are filthy. There was blood in the sink and underwear clogging the toilet bowl. Front desk is so unprofessional they've made me cry. I was made pay for my crown prior to getting it then they canceled the day before my appointment (an appointment i scheduled a month out) with no reason. I found out the dentist i was using on this tooth (who insisted i must return to her) was transferred and they basically told me too bad. They then wanted to Reschedule my appointment another month out knowing I'm already 30 weeks pregnant and that's the week of my due date. It's taken me my entire second trimester to do a single root canal and crown. After basically being told too bad and being HUNG UP on TWICE i got in touch with the Office manager. He got me in with the dentist on her last day the next week. I showed up 5 mins before my appointment and am now I'm writing this review from the filthy waiting area while a wait (so far it's been over 40 mins past my scheduled appointment). I have never in my life have felt this uncomfortable or have paid so much money to be treated so poorly. Would recommend avoiding this office at all cost. Complete trash

Negative experience: Not a good experience on my last visit! Went for regular cleaning with appt. @ 4:30 pm but being called around 6 pm ended up not done as the staff said the office will be closing soon.

Fantastic experience: I had a really great experience at Eastern Dental, given that this was my first time. The staff was amazing; courteous, kind, patient and made both myself and my daughter very comfortable throughout the each step during the appointment. We are both not fans of dental visits but the team made it a very pleasant one. The entire visit time was about 2 hours which I found a bit long and now I know I need to plan for “a wait” on my subsequent visits…but I hope this improves with time. Thanks team!!

My dentist is down to earth he silly and he really makes you feel comfortable! It’s not easy getting your teeth fixed and knowing the expense . So grateful I went to this place this is Eastern Dental in Union ! The lady who cleaned my teeth was great also ! All and all It’s been a good experience at the Union office . Thank you finally found a spot after being ripped off . The lady in Fords ripped me off big time unbelievable and with in one day this dentist fixed my tooth eventually put a crown and I didn’t have to go go homeless ! Lol

Negative experience: The dentist here was good. However, if you need to make an appointment with the orthodontist I strongly recommend going elsewhere. They only have appointments on Wednesdays. So I made an appointment a couple weeks out and requested a day off work, since Wednesday was their only availability. On the day of my appointment, a couple hours before, they sent me a message cancelling. They said the orthodontist was going on vacation and would be gone for a month. I wish I would have known earlier so I wouldn’t have wasted a day off of work. I’m not sure how this could be a last minute decision but I understand sometimes emergencies happen. So I rescheduled for a month out on a day I knew I had off of work already so I would not have to take off another day. A week before my appointment they text me and move my appointment to another day that I did not request at a time that they picked themselves. This place is extremely inconsiderate of anyone else’s time. I cancelled the appointment and will be looking elsewhere for an office that doesn’t cancel and reschedule constantly without your knowledge or request. If you value your time do not come here because they do not.

Fantastic experience: I Was on Step Two of getting my Crown. I knew I was in good hands with Doctor Grober, our Dentist For Years. I Requested Him to Handle this Dental Procedure. He molded and fitted my Temporary Crown and I will go back in Two Weeks for My Permanent Crown Replacement! We have been going to Eastern Dental for Over 40 Years. They have been handling our Family Dental needs, including our Children who are Grown Now! We have a Bond with the Old and New Staff! Fantastic experience: Dr Roquillo and her assistant was awesome and patient with my daughter

Fantastic experience: I had a scheduled appointment for next month for a filling but that tooth broke and paid for an emergency appointment to be rescheduled for the next week. The hole is next to my nerve. Today 8/11 I got a double filling and was told I’ll need a root canal because the tooth has a cavity close to the nerve

Fantastic experience: Professional service was excelent the docter and her assistant were excellent. They make a great team and I’m blessed for outstanding service. I returned today for a follow up visit to have some fillings replaced and once again I Received Excellent service from Dr. Ronquillo and Dental assistant Melissa they are a winning team thanks guys. !!! I had an Emergency today 4/14/2015 and Ms. Jacky Provided the doctor with some excellent x-rays in my mouth and he was able to diagnose my issue and prescribe some antibiotics until my next appointment. I just want to thank Miss Jacky for a professional professionalism her patience and a gentleness with my mouth. Kudos. My visit today 8/9/25 was nothing less then a great experience as always the staff was very helpful and professional and solved my concerns with my visit.

Positive experience: Doctor was very thorough and explained everything to me about my treatment and continued dental care. The hygienist spent time cleaning my teeth and gums. Didn't rush like many other places tend to have you done in 15 minutes. Took a solid 30 minutes to thoroughly clean and polish my teeth. Positive energy.

Fantastic experience: I have to say, very happy at Eastern Dental. Dr. Ronquillo put a filling in my mouth with the gentleness of kid gloves. The dental assistant Melissa was as accommodating and pleasant. They really give you personalized service here. Going back in 2 weeks for a deep cleaning. Negative experience: The Dentist and tech were kind. Really not the place for if you're looking to build a relationship or have apprehension about doing to the dentist. The ability to make an appointment is horrible! I had an emergency, needed a root canal because of a badly broken tooth... They offered me appointment three weeks out. And the receptionist had the audacity to tell me, we have a lot of doctors taking vacation. I tried to give them a chance dispite the poor reviews. Waste of time and energy. AVOID THIS PLACE AT COST.

Negative experience: I thought Dr. Patel was very cold. I didn’t feel relieved after speaking with him but more anxious. He said several times,” This is going to hurt “. After my extraction he left very quickly never saying a word to me. The nurse seemed like they were so busy that she did t have time to repeat the instructions but handed me a paper instead. When I tried to sit up I was nauseous and dizzy. I was all alone. I said “”can someone help me”. No one was there.

Doctor Patel explained that the tooth needs to be replaced with a Cap. Thanks, to him understanding my present situation, he filled it until I'm able to get it fixed properly. Negative experience: 1st appointment due my dentist recommendation of A Periodontist for loose tooth due to bone loss. XRays revealed: Bone loss, and yes I do have occasional minimal bleeding gums. To remedy this a deep cleaning was performed. Will review once I see how spending a $100.00 bucks on the Arestin for one tooth will work out, when I could have received tetracycline for free with my insurance. Updated: 2nd Appointment: Inspected my gums and pocket levels. Arestin did nothing to my pockets or gums. Do not spend your money on it. I do hope this review will reach others. No wonder insurance didn’t cover it. I will continue to floss and brush. 10/09/23 Another deep cleaning and dentist did say my gums were improving but those pockets are still there. Another cleaning will be in January. I never thought this much into maintaining your teeth. Never had a yuck mouth but hey their out there. I bet their teeth are seconds to fall out. I do hope my gums improve as I do need braces to put my teeth back into position. Tried to get an appointment and they are backed up. Need more dentist appointments and walkin for emergency Update 08/24 I left this Dentist and I’m glad I did.

Negative experience: I’ve been a long-time patient, but my recent experience at this dental office with the office manager, Carlos, was beyond disappointing. When I arrived, Carlos mistakenly called me “Mr. Williams.” I jokingly replied, “I’m all woman,” but instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he completely ignored it. Then he told me I owed money from a previous visit, which shocked me because I always pay my balances. I’ve never been informed of any outstanding amount until I show up—after driving over an hour and a half. When I calmly tried to explain that I’d appreciate a call, email, or any notice beforehand, Carlos cut me off and said it wasn’t his responsibility to inform me. When I asked him to let me finish, he said, “No, let me talk.” He said that it was my responsibility to keep up with my insurance, not his. I was shocked. I then asked to speak to someone else, and he flat-out told me no. His attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. This isn’t the first time this has happened. Every visit, I’m blindsided by a balance—sometimes from over six months ago—with no warning. If insurance doesn’t cover everything, that’s understandable, but patients should be informed in a timely and respectful way. Carlos’ behavior made it clear I was not respected or valued as a patient. After this experience, I will be finding a new dentist.

Positive experience: My hygienist hurt me more than expected. I feel like she worked too fast. My gum was bleeding for a little while. She was also the one that worked on my son Brandon and he said the same. Maybe take a little more time with the patient.

Fantastic experience: Eastern Dental is a very nice option for those with insurance or those that require a Dental plan. I have been going to this office for years. The current team are very helpful, proactive and reactive. Easy to make an appointment. Thanks so much to Brandon in intake, Madeline, Nasir, and of course the Dentist and the hygienist. Negative experience: This office cancelled the appointment hour before service and to reschedule take month. Took a day off from work to take my son to remove braces. They said only one person working doing that. Now I lost a day of work for nothing, the only reason I go there is because my insurance pick them

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr. Grober for over 20 years. I now travel about 40 minutes to his practice in union. Today I was seen as an emergency filling replacement. He’s the best at making a big baby (me) feel comfortable and secure with his knowledge and ability. Today was totally pain free and so quickly done.

Negative experience: They’re money hungry! I have a cracked tooth n the back and he’s focused on doing a root canal on another tooth and an implant way n the back of my mouth both n which doesn’t have anything to do with the cracked tooth. I said I need to be able to chew my food and he says, take an ibuprofen for the discomfort and schedule another appointment..I said listen, let’s focus on why I came n! I could honestly feel the money grab… and I have insurance but it wasn’t about my issue it was about what cost the most! And the dragon lady n the front #1 job is to get payment before work is done! Nobody is friendly! They want their COINS! I use to love this office but they have new staff and it’s time to look elsewhere . The dragon lady isn’t new tho… just older literally…

Positive experience: The dental hygienist are awesome had Patricia today and she was stellar. Met a new dentist who did a fill in today and I am in love. She and her dental assistant were amazing. I’m still leery of the people in the back of the initial front desk staff from prior experience but the immediate front desk personnel are Awesomesauce. Negative experience: I had to change my review from five stars to two . I've been there three times for the same tooth. I have to wait long , always ,and I'm still having the same issue. It's starting to feel like my pain is being dismissed.

Fantastic experience: I booked my family for routine cleaning all in one day. It was not hard to book the appointments. This time, they took us in right away for X-ray and to see Dr. Grober. Dr. Grober has such a good bedside manner and talks to us like he really knows us. My kids like coming to eastern dental because of him. His assistants are also very welcoming and engage us in conversations. We did not need to wait too long for the cleaning. Patty and Cheng are great too. Positive experience: Initially my instinct was to be put off due to the facility beating HMO affiliated. However, after getting through some frustration with my insurer, the staff, treatment process and outcome were much better than expected! The receptionist was very sweet and kind and the team of ladies who fixed my fractured tooth were simply awesome. Thank you. However, now I’m a little irritated to got a follow-on additional bill?!

Fantastic experience: My first experience getting my wisdom teeth on my left side removed was extremely traumatic. I waited 3 years to get my right side removed in fear the orthodontist would remember me and treat me the same way. Luckily it was a different orthodontist that removed my wisdom teeth on my right side. Instead of it being the same doctor from my last experience it was Dr. Patel. He explained every step to me and was very kind. He made sure to explain everything he was doing before he did it which brought me peace. His assistant was also very kind and made me laugh when she saw how nervous I was.

Fantastic experience: Today I got my last wisdom tooth pulled and it went so smooth and quick! I didn’t feel anything at all! And the front desk, especially Madeline, is always so welcoming and very professional making sure everyone is seen as soon as possible!

Negative experience: My experience with Dr. Thomas Gulino at Eastern Dental of Union has been painful, stressful, and financially damaging. I went in for a crown and a filling, and I’ve been in SEVERE DAILY PAIN ever since. I experience pain even while doing normal things like chewing and walking. My orthodontic retainer no longer fits, even though it had been perfectly fine for years. When I explained that the retainer would cost more to replace than what I paid for the crown and filling combined, Dr. Gulino was completely dismissive. He offered no solution, no follow-up, and no concern for how much this has impacted me. And while the cost was frustrating, the ongoing pain has been worse than anything. I filed a grievance with my insurance provider, and they still have not received a response. I also submitted a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau, and again, no one followed up. To this day, I have heard nothing from Eastern Dental. They have IGNORED every attempt of communication regarding this issue. This is not how patients should be treated. I left this office in WORSE condition than when I arrived and have had to deal with the PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, and FINANCIAL consequences on my own. Think very carefully before trusting this provider and this dental office.

Fantastic experience: The staff was very courteous. I didn’t wait long to be seen, and I did get my appointment pretty quick. They did X-rays of my teeth and were very knowledgeable and affordable. The cleaning wasn’t painful and I’ve experienced that in the past so I was thankful. I got a Fluoride treatment, a teeth polishing and some sample tooth paste products and other stuff. It was a nice experience.

Negative experience: First time patient coming in for an exam/cleaning but will never come again. Waited MONTHS for an appointment and upon arrival I am told that there is a “possibility” that I will not get my cleaning done today because they are short a hygienist. I am called in at 11:12 and seen by a dental assistant who was extremely nice and took my X-rays. Meanwhile the dentist comes in and goes over my X-rays and tells me what I need to get done. I ask about the cleaning and they brush it off and say I can speak to the manager. At 11:35 I’m already in the waiting room waiting to speak to the manager. One of the rudest and most dismissive managers I have EVER dealt with. Completely in the wrong profession and field. I am basically told I need to make ANOTHER appointment for my cleaning which is extremely frustrating because I had been waiting so long for the appointment and went for basically nothing. I spent more time in the waiting room then in the actual chair. I then waited 25 minutes to be called to the front desk to make my appointment. 25 minutes waiting to make an appointment is something I have never experienced EVER. The manager continued to give me an attitude and almost ripped my head off when I asked for a copy of my treatment plan. The dentist was nice but saw me for a few minutes and I just wanted a copy for my reference of exactly what procedures I needed done. I don’t think that is anything unheard of to ask! Overall the doctor and assistant were professional and friendly. The complete opposite experience as far as front desk and management. I should’ve gotten a phone call letting me know if I wanted to reschedule since I wouldn’t be getting a cleaning done which is what my appointment was for! I understand the frustration of working understaffed but they handled this situation poorly.

Positive experience: Communication from the front desk was horrible had to wait 1hour 45 minutes for a cleaning but once I got in the back felt better because the person cleaning my teeth apologized for the delay made me feel like she cares about her patients

Fantastic experience: I broke and lost a filling in one of my rear teeth. I called as soon as the office opened on Wednesday at 9am and was seen at 10:45. Dr Grober was nice enough to exam me and filled my tooth and I was a happy camper. Excellent
