Fantastic experience: Hendersonville Family Dental is the place to go for all of your dental needs. Everyone is so nice and helpful - from the person who greets me to the one who checks me out. Everyone knows what they are doing. Erin is my dental hygienist and she is awesome. She does a great job of cleaning, brushing and flossing my teeth. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with the choice we made for our dental care. I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Broke a molar… they got me in the next morning even though I wasn’t a patient at the time…..am now. Had a somewhat challenging extraction but Dr. Henkel is clearly a pro and fixed me up in no time! These folks come very highly recommended….you won’t be disappointed!!!

Fantastic experience: HVL Family Dental was recommended to me by a friend who was also a transplant to the area. In my visits to the office, I found all the staff from check-in to check-out to be extremely warm, friendly and professional. Dr Roussel has been my dentist during my visits. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great personality. Another thing I must also point out is the fact that with my Medicare insurance I need to pay up after service is completed. However, the office quickly processes the claims so that my insurance reimbursements come back in a very timely matter. Far better than going into a dental office that takes your insurance plan but does below acceptable work. I have already recommended HVL Family Dental to friends.

Fantastic experience: I had a dental problem arise yesterday where a tooth chipped and I had sent in an appointment request to get this taken care of. They called me back this morning as I got of work and got me in at 1150. Dr. Ashton was able to fill the tooth with no pain or discomfort during procedure. They used a good amount of numbing so I didn’t feel anything with this. They were all very nice, very professional and took my dental office anxiety into consideration. By the end of the procedure I was very comfortable with the office staff that worked with me along with Dr Ashton. Would 100% recommend coming here to anyone. Thank you! Update: I have been getting a lot of work done since my initial chip that I reviewed. I again, absolutely recommend this facility and Dr. Ashton continues to do fantastic work and I look forward to my upcoming appointments. The staff are all fantastic.

Positive experience: Great staff, great atmosphere, got in and out within an hour. Accommodating of my emergency! But when a patient states you that they're hard to numb, please do the nerve block, maybe BELIEVE THEM! Having needles stuck into a severely infected tooth is ABSOLUTE TORTURE and had me literally grabbing the chair and crying out in agony. More than once! A person doesn't have to be a red head to have a strange tolerance to medication. An otherwise fantastic visit, ruined by not listening to your patient. Please do better next time.

He was our dentist over 20 years ago when he had his practice in Woburn, MA, and we’ve never forgotten the quality of his work. Since moving to Florida, every dentist we’ve seen has commented on how excellent his work was. Recently, we tracked him down in North Carolina for an appointment for our teenage daughter. Just before the visit, our teenage son had a dental emergency and broke his two front teeth. Dr. Henkel didn’t hesitate to help—he made time to see him on a Saturday. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, and is just a genuinely kind and caring person. Fantastic experience: Upon arrival I was greeted by the cheerful staff and a clean welcoming waiting area. Garrett, the Dental Assistant, escorted me to the dentist chair, and was a pleasure to chat with while waiting on the dentist. Dr. Norian along with Garrett kindly put me at ease and did an amazingly thorough job on my dental work. The lady at check out was just as pleasant as everyone else in the office. Positive experience: I would say I'm mostly pleased with my experience yesterday. Doctor Buchanan and Faith were great! The Doctor explained everything clearly and his manner minimized any discomfort during the procedure. Saved me some money by suggesting we try fixing the filling and see if that is sufficient down the road. Great! The only sorta negative thing that I experienced was when I went to pay. Check or cash? I elected to return later with a check to save the $19 in the extra charge for using a credit card. I get it. You get charged a fee for that. But how about Venmo or Zelle? I believe they both can be used for free. Cheers!

The technicians don’t just examine and clean your teeth in preparation for the dentist, they educate and encourage you to have good dental health. Fantastic experience: Dr. Robert Henkel is hands down one of the best dentists I’ve ever encountered!!! Naturally, I was nervous at first—because who isn’t nervous about going to the dentist? But as soon as he began working and calmly talked me through it, I immediately felt at ease. He was incredibly gentle, even when administering the lidocaine, and explained some of step the process, including why I might feel certain sensations. When I mentioned my interest in dentistry, he lit up and was genuinely excited to share his knowledge. It meant a lot to be treated by someone who not only takes the time to educate but clearly loves what he does. You can tell he truly cares about his patients’ overall oral health—not just the procedure at hand or a paycheck. He’s the kind of provider who would bend over backwards for his patients—I mean seriously I’ve seen it first hand. He takes great pride in his work, and it absolutely shows. I left feeling cared for, informed, and even more inspired to pursue dentistry myself! 100% would recommend Dr. Hankel!!

I tend to have very little faith in dentists due to a childhood rife with oral surgery, extensive orthodontia, and a litany of other problems with my teeth. Hope did my cleaning today and she's just amazing. They all really abate my fears and make me feel heard. Had gone to Aspen Dental before them and they're more concerned with getting the most money out of you they can than treating symptoms. 10/10 would recommend HFD.

Fantastic experience: I transferred to this office recently, and had a great experience becoming an established patient. Very thorough, professional staff. Discovered that an old filling had broken down a bit, and a cavity had formed. I just had the cavity/filling corrected by Marjie and Dr. Roussel. It was pain free- from the anesthetic to the drilling. I’ve never had a truly pain free dental procedure until today. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable, listened to my past experiences, and did a phenomenal job. 100% recommend this office.

Just love her! Today 6/6/2025-My dental assistant Jet did a great job greeting me, making me comfortable, and assisting Dr. Norian. I can tell that Dr. Norian takes great pride in her work and is very proactive in terms of dental problems that put patients potentially at risk. She provides a lot of good information and is quite thorough in her examinations. The crown work she has done for me has been excellent. She also is fun (Great sense of humor) and works very well with other staff. I look forward to having her as my dentist for years to come. Hendersonville Family Dental is the most upbeat medical group I have ever encountered. Very therapeutic in its own right. Thank you all so much for your care and friendship.

Fantastic experience: Dr Henkel and the team in his office were excellent with me, a nervous patient! I had a two hour appointment to replace a crown and to do three veneers next to the crown. They were swift, described what was happening and the end results are great.

Positive experience: 3 hours of time and 2K, fat lip, cheek bruise, and chewed up inner lip. It has mot been pleasant; but I have to say the staff are friendly and kind.

Fantastic experience: We found the practice to be very patient (we arrived late due to a traffic accident) and very professional. The office staff were very friendly and truly enjoyed working together. Both my husband and I had different hygienists to clean our teeth and different doctors and we were both very happy with all of the staff that we met.

Fantastic experience: 05/12/25 This visit required a crown replacing a 25 year old filling. Dr Roosell and assistant Avery. She was very attentive, anticipated well. Very patient with recalcitrant computer monitor. Procedure was pain free and I love the inhouse crown printing. No requirement for a temporary crown and a second visit. The modeling was virtually perfect with very minor, if any, post cementing adjustments. Looking forward to my next dark chocolate sea salt caramel(s). Decent pricing on the Crown as well. 05/07/25 New Doctor, Michael Russel, renewed relationship with former hygienist Lacy. Great combination. Also like recently married Sarah, hygiene scheduler and Amanda, dentist scheduler. Great team. 01/20/2025 Another positive 8 star review. New hygienist, never got or I forgot her name. Very nice hands. Great cleaning job. Now for the real stuff. Doctors and techs come and go but the support staff, the admins make or break a practice. The front office is very good, consistent and flexible. I showed up on the wrong day, early and the were able to fit me in with zero attitude so I didn't waste a trip. I have cr**** insurance. Sarah has been superb at finding me payment plans for my self caused perio problems. She makes checkout a pleasure and is also great with rescheduling my erratic schedule. So: Today recognition goes to the support staff. But, final thought, maybe they're great because they don't have to smell our bad breath and hear our screams of pain. 4/22/2024 Interesting. The technology gets better, smaller, less intrusive and seems to be more specific in function yet more generally applicable. Same smooth hands, thank you Marcela. Only pain was due to my poor flossing in a couple of places. Nothing fatal. Checking it with pro Sara, always a pleasure. Mike S I have some self caused perio issues. Today, 6/26/23 was a cleaning. Great intake and payment departments. New hygienist to their practice and to me, Marcella. Excellent hands, strong but not rough. Good communication skills. I knew exactly what I needed to know when I left. Previously I got a crown via their "do it right now" 2 hr service. Great fit zero issues. Best practice I've been to in 67 years. Edit on 2/22/23. Next visit. Hygienist was Lacie, named after Chevy Chase's girlfriend in Caddyshack. Great attitude, good hands and she really paid attention to my issues. Just keeps getting better. Edit 12/6/23 New hygienist to me, Erin. Superb hands. Firm and gentle. Kudos to the front office and back office staff, particularly Sarah. I had several shirt term cancelation needs, one, with little notice. Non judgemental, personable and professional in the multiple reschedule. Thank you guys Mike Stritch

Dr. Norian was very thorough knowledgeable and professional. She took the time to answer any questions I had. Avery was very sweet and quite meticulous about each X-ray. She was professional and proficient. I don't recall the name of the hygienist. She did an excellent job in cleaning my teeth. Gave me some tips, answered my questions and was very professional. She takes the time to explain what she is doing, always concerned about your comfort level, and her staff is fabulous with lots of dental experience. I had to have a lot of dental work done and I feel very confident in her work that she completed, she was even able to save a tooth (yeah). She is a good soul who loves and supports the Humane Society so I love walking into her office and seeing all of the pictures of the dogs and it’s such a calming atmosphere. Highly recommend this wonderful dentist and her caring staff!
