Fantastic experience: Needed a place to get an aching tooth checked out right away as I was traveling in two days and couldn't afford to wait. They got me in asap and were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Got my infection diagnosed quickly and back to my day in under an hour. I wouldn't hesitate to come back if I needed soemthing again and my regular dentist was closed.

Fantastic experience: I would recommend this office a thousand times to anyone in need. I had an issue with a tooth that was taken care of 3-5 years ago. I got to walk in and be seen. The compassion and care in this office deserves so much more than 5 stars. I am extremely thankful to each and every one of them. The care I received here made me realize that what I had done 5 years ago, was more than likely, not properly done. I cried, but not out of pain, out of realizing I had been cheated. Everyone was sweet and thoughtful, caring and extremely professional. They make you feel comfortable and give you all the knowledge and let you know step by step what's happening. I am very thankful to have found this office. Seriously, thank you guys so much!! And if you're looking for a place for dental care, please stop here, they're amazing.

Fantastic experience: They quickly diagnosed the source of my pain and performed a wisdom tooth extraction that was effective, relatively painless, and without complication. The staff were friendly . The doc was very careful about making sure was properly anesthetized. And all this was done on a walk-in on a Sunday afternoon. If you have a dental emergency on a weekend , I highly recommend this office. I how I'm never in this much pain and need emergency care on. A Sunday, but if I do, I'll definitely be back here for treatment.

Negative experience: I came here for a simple tooth extraction. They refused to use my recent x-ray from my previous dentist and insisted I had to pay $165 upfront for their own diagnosis and x-ray—no exceptions. Even worse, they refused to tell me how much the extraction would cost until after I paid the $165. Because this is an emergency dental service, they use people’s pain and urgency to make them pay these ridiculous prices. Basically, you’re forced to pay just to find out the price, with no transparency. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews—this place is a trap.

Fantastic experience: Went in for tooth pain and everything was easy and laid out. They were out of my network but they did connect me to an office that would do my oral surgery. Tanika in the front office was helpful and explained all my options without pressing me to receive services that would be costly. My reimbursement claim was sent to my insurance immediately. I was welcomed back if other options didn’t work out. I would return again without questions.

Positive experience: The staff are always very kind and when I started having bad tooth pain couple months ago they squeezed me in same day. I had to do 4 or 5 visits to complete the work I needed done, and they did have scheduling issues where I had to change my appointment twice. It is also a bit pricey. However the care I received was of good quality - better than most dental offices I have encountered.

Fantastic experience: Emergency Dental saved the day (and my husband)! The staff are beyond friendly, kind, and professional. I was able to get him in for a same-day appointment 2 hours after I called. They completed the evaluation, xray, and treatment right away without delay AND on a Saturday night no less! He was in excruciating pain and is now on the mend. THANK YOU SO MUCH for everything! 100% recommended!

Fantastic experience: I had crazy bad pain that woke me up on a Sunday morning, and they were able to see me same day first thing in the morning. Everyone was nice and very helpful in getting my pain relief.

Positive experience: I came in as an emergency case with a 9:00 AM appointment but wasn’t actually seen until 12:45 PM, and I didn’t leave until 3:30. The staff was friendly, but there were moments of unprofessionalism—like openly chatting about lunch while I was in pain and unable to eat, and other staff repeatedly entering my room during the procedure to grab missing supplies. Pricing was clear and upfront, which I appreciated. However, the doctor seemed overbooked and rushed, and administering the numbing shots was more uncomfortable than it should have been. To make matters worse, my shirt was ruined during the visit, and while they acknowledged it, I’m still waiting on confirmation for any compensation. While the root canal is done, I can’t help but wonder if waiting for a higher-rated practice would have been the better choice.

Fantastic experience: Very gentle very comforting experience I was terrified before coming and it wasn’t bad at all tooth took right out with some numbing I definitely recommend and will be back

Negative experience: Had a bad experience today - my 7 year old daughter was doing flips and fell on her front teeth - one of them chipped off and her gums were bruised and bleeding. I brought her in here crying as it was one of the only places opened near me on a Friday evening (along with my other 3 young kids). They asked me for the $160 up front fee that you had to pay for regardless of insurance, although they didn’t even accept my insurance so everything would be out of pocket. I asked them if the doctor could just look in her mouth to see if it necessitates immediate work and if they can do it, that I wouldn’t mind paying for it at that point. They told me they would tell me after the $160 fee. Seemed very unhelpful and indifferent about our situation. I called another dental office that was farther away that also did not accept my insurance, but the doctor I spoke with on the phone (Dr. Anthonio McFadden of Dental Emergency of Royal Oak by Smile Detroit) asked me to send a picture and provided me a partial diagnosis/treatment on the phone just by the picture. This small act of kindness, done without any personal benefit, speaks volumes (as does the act of callousness…). A stark contrast to the healthcare providers who prioritize profits over people, and would not even look in my daughter’s direction while I was there in a desperate situation without the payment. P.S. A little bit of compassion wouldn’t hurt anyone..

Positive experience: VERY kind staff. Was able to get an appointment within an hour on a Saturday night of the holiday weekend. Despite being in some of the worst pain of my life and not being able to eat or sleep, the doctor would not retreat a prior root canal that developed an abcess. I still have no idea why. She also wouldn’t prescribe a narcotic pain med. I understand the hesitation, but even just a few pills to get me through until I could see my own dentist would have been appreciated. Overall, I would return if needed.

Fantastic experience: wonderful place, excellent work. I was relieved of my concern due to pain at 7.5 thinking I had an infection but turns out just I just need a root canal and fillings…My only concern is the up fee charge instead of billing the insurance right away. Other then that I think the place is an excellent option for those who can not see their primary dentist right away for urgent tooth issues.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency dental situation in the late afternoon and Emergency Dental of Detroit took me in for an appointment immediately. I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist due to a horrifying experience with my previous dentist. Dr Cochran, Stephanie, Nicole, and Teri were all so incredible. Talked me through step by step of everything they were doing. I felt apart of all aspects of my appointment which isn’t always the case when you go to the Drs or Dentist. Not only were they all attentive with all my questions and concerns, but their bedside manner was astounding. They took the time to really sit down with me. I never felt like I was being rushed to make a decision or when asking questions. They were all so caring towards me, especially with my anxiety not only going to the dentist, but throughout my unexpected surgery. I would recommend everyone to go to Emergency Dental of Detroit for all your dental needs.

Negative experience: First time I heard doctor saying “you can do what ever you want to do”. If I want to do what ever I want to do why would I come to hospital and pay for consultation and treatment. Receptionist was very kind and answers any questions we ask. Cory Ball was my doctor. Funny part they will just ask you to sign while leaving and unless other than we ask for what I am signing they will not mention it. They are making people to sign that doctor explained all the possibilities of treatment and it’s me not taking treatment- Even my doctor answers me with attitude when I ask a question- is there possibility to recement my current tooth crown. I don’t know how there are lot of positive reviews. Hopefully fake. 587$ and he didn’t even see me for 5 min.

Fantastic experience: Emergency Dental of Detroit took care of me on the spot! I had been having a severe toothache for a few days. I tried all of the home remedies, but I needed professional help with this one. I called EDD and was put through to a scheduling service. I was a bit nervous about that, but don't fear, it was legit. They were able to get me in on the same day! I haven't been to my regular dentist in longer than I'd like to admit. Due to pain from my last dental visit, I've been afraid to return. The staff at EDD was amazing! They were gentle, kind, and informative. I was given details every step of the way, from the front desk to x-rays to the final procedure. I was told I needed a root canal, and I wasn't super excited. The team put me at ease. Dr. Budayr explained the process. The front desk gave me details on the cost. Financing options are available. The staff was patient with me while I called my husband to work through the details of how we were going to make this procedure work with our finances. Stephanie put on a movie for me to help me relax. This is the first time in my life that I had a dental procedure done without gas. Dr. Budayr was amazing with numbing and giving me the necessary shots. I didn't even feel a pinch! The procedure was long, as expected, but the movie in the background kept me distracted. I only felt one thing during the whole procedure, but it didn't hurt (more just a gross feeling). I was given the necessary prescriptions to get me through the post procedure healing. A few days later, and I'm still working on healing. The medication definitely helps. I'm following the instructions, because I just had my tooth opened up and I don't want an even bigger issue with infection. I felt so comfortable with the ladies in the office through this experience that I scheduled my teeth cleaning with them! I brush, I floss, I use a Water pik. It's not enough. Keep up with your regular dental visits, so you don't have to experience the pain I did. But if you do need help, Emergency Dental of Detroit is there to take care of you!

Negative experience: The whole staff was exceptional! Very polite and understanding! I am actually making them my primary dentist! Update… I have completely changed my mind on making them my primary, the dentist does not care about the kind of pain you’re in. The meds he prescribed did not help… When I went there I was in excruciating pain. When I left, there was no pain because they numbed me, an hour later after I got home the excruciating pain was back. The next day I called them and asked him to please prescribe something stronger because the ibuprofen and the Tylenol wasn’t effective. They basically told me they couldn’t prescribe me anything stronger. So I was basically in pain for another day. I missed work because I was hurting so bad. Smh!

Fantastic experience: I had excruciating tooth pain over a holiday weekend and they were able to get me in the very next day at 9am. They numbed me up very good so I didn’t feel any of the procedure. The dentist was very gentle and understanding, everytime I said it hurt he numbed me more. I was there at 9am and had 2 teeth pulled by 12 and on my way home. It is pretty expensive and insurance has to reimburse you so you pay upfront but for an emergency you can’t get into your regular dentist this is the place to go. The dentist was very optimistic and made me feel like my mouth isn’t ruined and savable.

Fantastic experience: I was in excruciating pain, my normal dentist put me on the calendar, but I couldn't wait that long... I called this place, and they had a much greater sense of urgency. Got me in the next day, first thing in the morning, got a few teeth extracted in a few hours. Several payment options. The dentist walked me through every step of the process, made sure I was numb and couldn't feel anything, and all of the staff were extremely friendly! Highly recommend this place!
