Positive experience: I went into Area for the second time in the past few years to establish new patient care. The first time, a few years ago, I went to the Jefferson office where the female dentist nicked my gums with the sharp instrument they use to scrape the teeth. Needless to say, after that experience I kept my old dentist at Fitchburg Family Dental (which is AWESOME, by the way…) But, my insurance changed and I was again on the search for a dentist in the area. So I gave them a second try. This time up in Watertown (where they confirmed the female dentist in Jefferson was no longer employed)… Prior to the appointment, I checked my insurance website and called their office to confirm they accepted Blue Cross / Blue Shield. According to both the website and the person on the phone, my insurance was accepted at Area. I loved that they had early morning appointments and I woke up at 4:30 to get to my 6am appointment. The staff was very professional (even at that hour!) and we went through a very thorough exam. No nicked gums this time! Unfortunately, it was AFTER the exam when I was going to schedule the cleaning that the receptionist told me my insurance wasn’t accepted. I made it clear that they should’ve let me know BEFORE the exam… BEFORE I woke up at 4:30 and drove to Watertown. I WILL NOT be paying the “out of network “ price for this exam. I let them know already that this is on them. Otherwise, they were very professional, the early hours was very nice and the office was clean and comfortable.

Fantastic experience: I went this morning for teeth cleaning this morning at 6:30 a.m. I like the convenience of being able to go before work. Joan did a great job cleaning and caring for my teeth and encouraging me to floss! I like that they had high schoolers in there who may want to be a hygienist or even dentists someday. I would highly recommend Dr Thomas and the Area Dental Clinic.

Fantastic experience: Friendliest people I have ever met. Very helpful and patient. Very open and honest about their abilities and services. Thoroughly explained the procedures and costs. I have had several appointments now and I live an hour and 1/2 away. I would go even if I lived 2 hours away. Everyone that I have dealt with has been really nice. It means alot when personel say they worked their for 30 years.

My entire family, ranging from 38-5 years, loves this place. My favorite part is the way they talk to my kids while they're cleaning and working in their mouths. Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience here! I have had bad luck with dentists in the past, however Dr. Sullivan and his assistant (Im sorry I didn't catch her name) were both incredible. Dr. Sullivan was very welcoming and was quick but not aggressive, very efficient. The cost of services were very reasonable. Although I have dental insurance, they were very transparent about the assistance and flexibility they offer to those who do not which is not something you often see. I did not feel rushed although my appointment was nearing the end of the day and they had many patients, and all of my questions were answered very thoroughly!

Fantastic experience: I’ve had to get an emergency root canal and crown put on last year in 2023 and Dr. Sullivan and his assistant Carrie were wonderful. Eased my worries and helped me through the process. I recently have followed up in October of 2024 for issues I thought you were due to my root canal and the process was very quick and easy. Dr. Sullivan and his assistant Carrie saw me again and got me the answers I needed and told me to let them know if I had any other concerns come up that they’d like to know right away. They were very attentive and engaging in my appointment(s) both times I’ve seen them for dental issues. They do a great job and take genuine interest. I’d recommend Dr. Sullivan for any of your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I have always had quite a bit of anxiety when it comes to dental visits and it has been years since establishing new care. Everyone at the office is friendly, professional and go above and beyond to make visits quick and thorough. While they are pretty busy and booked out in advance, they still make an effort to get you in ans early as possible and reach out with reminders and earlier openings when appointments become available. Highly recommend their office, especially for those with anxiety around dentistry. Their earlier and later hours are also a huge plus!

Fantastic experience: Your greeted when you walk in the door. There is not much of a wait time at all. Dr Thomas, Deb, Joyce and everyone is very friendly and they listen to what you have to say and make you feel comfortable. In the past I was afraid to go to the dentist. Fantastic experience: Dr. Sullivan and all of the staff at Area Dental Clinic are extremely supportive and empathetic. I’m extremely self conscious about my teeth and fear going to the dentist, however Dr. Sullivan has honestly made me feel comfortable going to the dentist and has given me hope that I can actually be able to smile again. Mickey, Becky and Carrie are very kind and helpful everytime I have an appointment. I couldn’t come up with any negative feedback if I wanted to. Fantastic experience: Doctor Eric Baum is one of the most caring, kind, patient and understanding dentists I have ever met. Area dental has always had THE BEST dentists, but to see dr. Eric with my 5 year old has put area dental over the top! He takes as many breaks as she needs. Explains everything, lets her ask as many questions as she wants, and is so very patient. Words cannot express our gratitude for doctor Eric. What could be a scary situation, he turned into something fun, and even ended with my daughter giggling, and saying “I love you” at the end. Thank you area dental, and THANK YOU dr Eric. The hour and a half drive will always be worth it!

Fantastic experience: Dr Tomas is the best dentist in the area. I've struggled to find good dentist for 20 years. I mean rootcanals in my teeth were done so poorly by other dentists that I had to go to orthodontist to fix them, he is the one that suggested Dr. Tomas. 5 years later happy with the same dentist.

Fantastic experience: This is the best place to go. I called in Monday with a chipped front tooth. Not sure how fast I could get in but got an appointment for the next day. Went to the appointment and Dr Sullivan took the time at my appointment to fix my tooth. I am so pleased with how it looks. I was extremely impressed when Dr Sullivan called later in the day to make sure I was doing good. Thank you everyone for taking the time and understanding on what I needed and made it happened. You are the best!! Has to have my tooth fixed again and Area Dental got me in the next day. Did a fabulous job as always. Dr Megan was awesome!!!
