Jacksonville Emergency & Family Dental Care

Negative experience: I had an appointment at 8am today, I came promptly on time, only to get turned around at the door at 8:01am. I called this practice Thursday morning, wanting to know more about this dental practice. I also told them that I am still a patient at ASAP Dental, all I needed was a tooth pulled. I was told to have ASAP Dental email my dental records and ASAP did that for me. I go to this dental office with the private emailed records through email, only for the African American doctor to tell me ‘we need our own records’!!! That not what I was told over the phone and per application. I don’t know her name but her dominant attitude and demeanor honestly made me disqualify her from operating on me anyways, so it worked out for me not having to deal with her in particular. Why would I pay $79 for exams that I already have received from another dental practice? That’s why they are sent over so that the patient won’t have to come out of pocket again for something that has been already done. Oh yeah, I failed to mention, if you are a new patient you have to pay $25 before being seen (that’ll go toward services something that I did not receive )that I non refundable.

Positive experience: They have a very clean facility and are able to take tooth pictures while your seating, also upon completion of the visit I asked for my records to be released to me immediately and they did In accordance with HIPPA and ADA rules that state patients have the right to have their records given to them, so on that sense I’ll give them a 5. I feel they lack effective communication with patients specially new intakers and patients undergoing orthodontic treatments. I went there for a cleaning, unfortunately as a new patient if you need a deep cleaning you need to schedule that separately and it may take 2 separate sections . I wasn’t aware of that and I counted on having a full cleaning done the first visit. Let me remind you this was supposed to be my first civilian cleaning. I feel disappointed but I guess those are most dentist offices rules. I just wish they would have told me that over the phone, send me an email or have it on their page. I have decided to explore overseas options as it allows the patient to have a one and all done usually the same day. They have potential, it’s just not a good fit for me and my situation. This was by far the best cleaning I’ve ever had — thorough, gentle, and professional. The staff was extremely friendly and made me feel completely at ease from the moment I walked in. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. I'll definitely be back!

I had my 1st procedure today & was terrified but my lord has a way of weaving people, energy & procedures together to accommodate all his people in this amazing clean office from front desk easy check while demonstrating great customer service to the lovely skillful caring dental hygienist Mrs. Megan whom made me extremely comfortable the entire procedure. I'm a excellent caring phlebotomist & I saw myself in my patients shoes today when fear is upon us so it meant the world to me to be in such caring skillful hands by someone as great, polite & humble as myself. I'm so thankful for the beautiful work done on me by Mrs. Megan. Thanks to all the lovely ladies & my dentist Dr. T Jacksonville emergency dental is absolutely amazing and affordable. Fantastic experience: Best place ever! I called left a VM and was contacted within the hour and was told I could come in immediately( if needed) they would work me in. The very nice staff was fast and efficient. One hour later I was back home. This is the only place I’d recommend if your in pain and can’t wait. Best dental experience by far!!!

Fantastic experience: Great Dental office with friendly staff and warm office environment! Very quick service and attention to details regarding my appointment! All forms were online, so I was about to pre-fill all my information before the visit. The office had all the latest dental equipment which made me feel secure! The cost was a little higher than the average dental office, but the quality was excellent! I would rather pay more for better care and service!

He recommended what I needed to get done and also explained to me how long it would take. The Dental Assistants are just amazing. Negative experience: So 3 months ago I would have told you they were great . Now I cannot say that . I went after months of trying to get insurance to finally do my deep cleaning . Well they told me my insurance covered a certain percentage and I would have to pay the rest through sunbit . 3 months now we’re in January they say hey the insurance said they wouldn’t cover it you owe us this ——— amount. That apparently they got mislead by one of the insurance representatives and then got mislead by another representative saying it was processing and now I’m supposed pay the remainder of the amount of a deep cleaning anyway. I went in there office 3 times 1 for a consultation 2 for them to clean my teeth . And now 3 months they are gonna to mention this after I am already paying the other half off . Very unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: If you’re having trouble with your teeth, this is the place to go! I live an hour away and called to let them know what I was experiencing, and they fit me in the same day. They are affordable and explain every step that they are doing! Dr. B and Mary were extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and caring. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Fantastic experience: Dr B and his staff are great. Came in with an bad tooth and infection.. They cleared up the infection and we made a plan to get my smile back. Has a root canal along with some filings yesterday. It was not fun.. But bearable. I'm sore today but not as bad as I thought it would be... Thank you Dr B and Staff.

Fantastic experience: Let’s just say I am not a fan of the dentist. However I woke up in tremendous pain and face swollen, I could not chew nor talk, I had to call out of my job so I can have this resolved as I would not be able to function at work. After some google searches I found this place , I did call other places but non could get me in same day nor treat me same day. As I called this facility Hailey answered she was very nice and understanding I really didn’t know what to say other than could you get me in today, we discussed the cost which was around $500 for X-ray and 1 extraction as this was a lil much then I expected she gave an option of a third party service where I could make payments. Hailey got me in same day , even though I wanted a morning slot but they were already booked however they was able to squeeze me in at 2:30. I was so grateful they would see me. Hailey had sent me my new patient paperwork over the phone so I was able to complete it before my appointment, where all I had to do was wait to be called when I arrived. The wait was not long at all Kim assisted me with my X-ray and was along side me with the dr. Kim was absolutely fabulous, I was very nervous and in so much pain coming in/ Kim was very empathetic and was very patient with me even made me laugh a few times, my mouth hurt like hell trying to open my mouth so I really tried not to laugh. Kim made me feel comfortable and answered all my over thinking questions. Finally I met Dr.B omg he was definitely some eye candy for sure he was just super cute and had some kind of charisma with him, nevertheless he was professional very prompt very gentle as my mouth felt so swollen and very inflamed, Dr. B hopped right to it and I ended up getting both wisdom teeth on the top pulled out as both were in pretty bad shape and he did so in a timely manner I was so impressed. After he was done he was getting ready for the next patient. Not to say it was rush but you can tell he had a tight schedule and I appreciated his time spent with me Kim went over aftercare and put my decaying teeth in a cute little box I could take home. I’m weird I wanted to show my kids my bad teeth lol The third party service I used I got approved for a certain amount that covered the cost for both wisdom teeth and X-ray and paid only $235 that same day. Overall I loved my experience for my first visit, I’m overjoyed i got my teeth pulled as I been procrastinating on this for some time and hate that I waited untill I’m in excruciating pain to finally deal with it. I want to thank the team so much for everything from getting me in and treating me same day. Will definitely recommend this place for your dental needs. You guys don’t know how appreciative I am getting these darn teeth out today! Thank you oh so much

Fantastic experience: I woke up Sunday morning with pain, knowing it was time to have a tooth pulled. A quick google search led me here. Emergency walk in at 8am on a Sunday. Had me home back across town by 930. Staff was great, explained everything in detail, and I felt very comfortable the whole time. If the location wasn't far from my house, they would be my new regular dentist office for sure.

Positive experience: I went to get a tooth extraction, the stars are for being able to take me in that day and being one of the only places in the area accepting walk ins. With that being said, it is very clear they are in a rush at this office. Even during my surgery I felt I went through unnecessary pain because the doctor was rushing. I had heard I was the 30th extraction and it was only 11am. Next time I would go somewhere with a more personal touch and a place that’s not so so busy. Overall I appreciate the staff for being helpful I just wish the doctor was more gentle and wish it didn’t feel like they wanted me out asap.

Negative experience: Called this place yesterday to make an appt, was told to fax a dr note regarding X-rays and call back, as they couldn’t see me without doing X-rays and couldn’t do X-rays with my medical condition without a dr note. Before I could obtain the dr note, one of the ladies in the front office called me back not once but twice asking me if I could make it in with the doctors note within the next 15mins, and when that couldn’t work, stating they could fit me in at 1pm if I had the note then. I said ok I’ll call back as soon as I have the dr note. I called back asking for their fax number at 12:15pm, then called a second time telling the office that the dr note had been faxed as of 12:30pm. I was told they were full for the day, but they asked if I could make it in at 8am the next day (today). I said no, I have to take my kids to school, is there a later appt. I was told if I could be there no later than 8:30am that I could be seen. I get there this morning, 3mins shy of 8:30 and am told that it all was for nothing, because there was never an appt on the books for me, and that they wouldn’t have told me to come in for an appt at 8:30 because they only do walk-ins until 10. So if you can make it in right at 8 maybe this place is for you, otherwise I’m not in the business of giving my money to folks who want to gaslight customers and waste my time in order to avoid doing their jobs. Especially when it comes to what is considered a “dental emergency”.

Positive experience: The staff is kind. The doctor Thomasino has a wonderful chair side manner and you can tell he is an expert at his trade. Overall all it was a good experience considering the pain I was in when I arrived. There was a wait, but they got me in the same day I called!!!!

Fantastic experience: Rashme was absolutely amazing I got my deep cleaning done and I was skeptical about the pain that I might have during the procedure but I had absolutely zero pain. She also explained everything patiently prior to the procedure that eased my anxiety. Can't wait to get my other side cleaned. I hope she will be there to clean my other side . I recommend her for your cleanings.

Fantastic experience: Called at 0903 to see if there was an emergency appointment for an extraction. With my surprise, they had an appointment at 10. Was able to do my new patient paperwork over the phone. Check in process was a breeze. The dental tech ( can't remember his name) was super kind and didn't make me feel ashamed over the condition of my teeth. We did xrays, and a quick exam to understand where the pain was stemming from and made an expedited treatment plan. Once the treatment plan was made, I was given clear prices to make sure that it was within my means prior to doing the procedure. I had 2 teeth extracted and had a great experience even with the actual extraction part. Thank you for making a very anxious patient not that anxious!

Fantastic experience: I was able to experience both doctors at the practice. They were both very nice. I enjoyed all the staff throughout the office. The dentist that did my extraction, Dr B, was very thorough explaining the procedure he was doing. He gave information while doing the two extractions as well. The dental assistants were all wonderful. Making them my new practice!

Fantastic experience: My husband had a sever tooth pain and needed dental treatment. We had called everywhere and felt absolutely hopeless. I found Jacksonville emergency and family dental care online and they went above and beyond. They were absolutely amazing. My husband has anxiety and has never been able to deal with the process of dental care due to them needing patience with his anxiety and when I tell you they soared beyond 5 stars with their bed side manner I mean it !! I would ONLY recommend this agency for dental care if you have no insurance. They were very affordable and worked with us through everything as I was even nervous as I have had so many dental clinics just trying to get my money and I still leave with little to no results but that was not the case with them. I am so happy to recommend this agency

Fantastic experience: Rashme was so amazing! I got a deep cleaning in my mouth and my teeth are so amazing! A COMPLETE DIFFERENT . I can literally feel my teeth be healthy and that’s important to me!

Fantastic experience: The deep cleaning I received by Rashme was insightful and done with care. She took great care of me and was very conscious about my pain levels. She took her time to do very thorough work and I’m very satisfied with the results. She used numbing gel instead of traditional shots to numb for long periods of time and I appreciate that as well. If anyone is experiencing any type of sensitivity, please make an appointment with Rashme and take a look at the Carifree kits. I promise you won’t find a better dental practice and hygienist!!

Dr B was thorough in his explanation and listened to my concerns. Rashme did an amazing job with my cleaning. She was gentle and knowledgeable!!! I have no complaints regarding my visit!

Fantastic experience: The Jax ER & Fam Dental Care crew on Dunn Ave is awesome! They are always hustling, but considerate. Dr.B is so quick and does a great job every time.
