Positive experience: New EDIT: Bringing my review back to 4-stars since my issue was ultimately resolved, and I did get my money back. Leaving one star off since it did take an exceedingly long time and multiple phone attempts to do so. I maintain that the surgery and recovery went well, and I'd give an individual 5-star review for the surgical team. Previous EDIT: I had previously given a 5-star review for my wisdom tooth surgery and I maintain that the surgery was very smooth and I had a great recovery. My edited review is regarding their billing office. I had overpaid last year for a consultation appointment and for almost 6 months, I have been trying in vain to get my refund. They acknowledge each time I call that I am due a refund and to wait a few weeks and then call them back, and each time I never receive the refund. OLD REVIEW: I am almost four weeks out from a wisdom tooth removal, and it went as smoothly as I could have hoped for! No issues with recovery, the office staff, Nikki and Dr. Cole were friendly, welcoming and the best professionals I could have found to make this as simple as possible. Surgery dates were flexible and the office was more than accommodating.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist for a consultation. The staff at front was awesome! Mrs. Sheri came to my rescue in the parking deck due to my lack of sense of direction. Mrs. Jennifer was the soothing voice on the phone and the calming spirit that I needed in the office. Dr. Cole informed me of my options for treatment and was very patient. I will be back for treat soon and I’ll provide another review of my experience!

Fantastic experience: Went in today for a consultation. I have experienced depression and anxiety for most of my teens and twenties. As a result, I was very anxious about seeing a dentist, as it can be hard to look after yourself when depressed. Dr. Cole made me feel less awkward and even calmed me down after a panic attack. I really appreciate his patience and I am looking forward to booking my surgery with him!

Negative experience: After my initial extraction procedure in May, I wrote a 5-star review. The staff was really friendly and helpful and my recovery seemed to go well. However, while I was out of town in July I developed complications and an infection. I left a message on July 3rd that explained what was happening and that I realized it was a holiday and probably wouldn't hear back until the following week. I went through two courses of antibiotics prescribed by my GP. I called numerous times on the 17th and was finally able to reach someone who gave me the surgeon's direct number. I called it and left a message. On the 22nd I called my regular dentist in Decatur to explain the situation, and within minutes of hanging up, the surgeon called me. (My dentist obviously contacted her.) She asked me if I left messages and I said that I did, and she told me she was having trouble accessing her messages. I explained that I found an oral surgeon who would be able to perform surgery the next day to remove the infected bone graft. She asked to see me when I returned to Georgia, and I told her I had an appointment scheduled for September. I decided to cancel the appointment and not return to Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery. I was in pain and worried, and it wasn't a priority to anyone there. The care I received in my home state was outstanding, especially considering it was an emergency situation. I saw the surgeon on a Monday, and had the procedure that Wednesday. It will be a hassle to fly north for continued care, but ultimately worth it.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cole and his staff were great! He’s very warm engaging and attentive and I appreciated that a lot. My visit was pleasant and went fast and smooth. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery! The staff was professional, welcoming, and made me feel at ease throughout my visit.

Negative experience: I had a really bad experience here and would highly recommend not coming here. Overall it was unprofessional, and even disrespectful. It felt like they are focused on money and not on providing the best patient experience. I scheduled an appointment for a tooth extraction. I was pushed into having my consultation and procedure on the same day. On the phone prior to the appointment, I was informed I would be paying the full price out of pocket, and that the procedure would cost in the range of $600-800. This was very palatable to me. Once I got to my appointment, I met Dr. Cole for my consultation. He did not discuss the details of the tooth extraction, but only discussed two different options for an implant. I had no prior knowledge of how the extraction or the tooth implant process works, and had no idea we would be doing the implant today. He sent me back to the waiting room while they put together an estimate. When the staff pulled me back, they presented me with an estimate for over $6,000. I was understandably very shocked and didn't know what to do. The staff member did not walk me through the line items, and I had to ask questions to understand it while being in shock and trying not to cry. I felt I had no time to make an adequate decision, and that the doctor/office was pressuring me into an extremely expensive surgery. I think this could have been easily prevented by providing me an estimate of the implant prior to the appointment. Or not pushing me to have a same day consultation and surgery. I decided to go ahead with just the tooth extraction because I had an infection that I did not want to wait any longer to treat. I was taken back to the procedure room and put on laughing gas. The doctor came in and noticed I had been crying and asked why. I explained the pricing was shocking to me and the lack of communication around it had made me very flustered. He offered no reassurance or compassion. He literally said nothing. He numbed my gums and left while that set in. At this point I was alone in the room and I continued to get more panicky and stressed, as I now did not trust the doctor and I also did not know what was going on. The doctor had still not explained any details about what the extraction would be like or what the recovery would be like. I was also stressed that I wasn't getting the effect of the laughing gas becuase my nose was stuffy from crying. One of the staff came in and told me to try to calm down and offered to turn up the laughing gas. When the doctor came back in, he asked if I was numb and I said yes and then he started working on my mouth. He did not explain what he was doing and I was terrified I was going to feel more pain because of the laughing gas not getting to me. The doctor could tell I was uncomfortable, I still had tears in my eyes and was wriggling around in the chair, so he told me I shouldn't feel any pain, just movement and to raise my left hand if I felt any sharp pain. But he still didn't explain what he was doing and it all happened very quick. It felt very crass to come in there and rip my tooth out in 30 seconds without trying to calm me down. It was traumatic. Then he left abruptly without any further information. I got very little verbal after-care instructions from the staff in the room, and I felt left alone to figure out what to do despite being given four different prescriptions (including a narcotic) and two different rinse procedures. I'm also left confused if it's normal that there were no stitches done, if I'm suppose to have any kind of follow up appointment, and also what the next stage of the process looks like for me now. One thing is for sure, I won't be getting the implant done by Dr. Cole. They also charge $10 for wifi in the waiting room which gives you an idea of their priorities. Edit: I reached out to the email provided below and have not heard back from anyone. I also called the office on Thursday 7/24 to ask about some symptoms I was having and left a voicemail and no one has gotten back to me on that either.

Fantastic experience: The service before my appointment was incredible! As a 13 year old it really made me feel more comfortable coming to a new oral surgeon. The oral surgeon who i talked to was very friendly and clear when giving directions.

Positive experience: The doctors office is really nice the staff are amazing my only concern is the location of the office is hard to find and we can’t decipher where the door . In my opinion this location needs better directory in the car garage leading to it or a door person to help assist overall 9/10 experience

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this practice. It’s definitely more pricey than the first quote I got for my wisdom teeth removal but was well worth it. Dr. Satish took the time with me as a patient to explain what was going on and causing my issue/pain and even did the removal the same day as the initial consult. Great aftercare as well. Fantastic experience: I had to write a review for Dr.Cole and his team!!! I’ve never had a procedure done in my life so you can imagine the anxiety I had walking in the room, but then I meet Dr.Cole and his lovely assistant Alysia and they made sure I had a emotional support teddy bear and even played Tasha Cobbs for me while he worked. His patience and his care was extraordinary, I hope I don’t have to come back but if I do I know who to call on

Fantastic experience: Good Experience! I was a big scary cat, I had an experience at a previous dental office about 2 years ago that made me be SCARED. But the staff here made me laugh, and get through it with no pain!

Positive experience: Everyone is very kind but this office is not timely. If you have an appointment, be sure to bring something to do because you will not be seen at your appointment time. Appt #1: When I walked in it seemed very full for a dentist office. I arrived at 10:04am for my 10am appt and was told to sign in. - 10:37am front desk took my ID & insurance - 11:15am taken back for xrays & asked about medical history - 11:30ish saw the doctor Appt #2: During my 2 week post-op up today I arrived at 9:25am for a 9:15am appt and was seen at 10am. My biopsy was explained to me but surprisingly my mouth was not looked at to see if everything was healing fine nor were there any questions about how the area was feeling. Maybe that is standard, but it was a little weird to me. Like I started with, everyone is very kind and helpful, but I would want to go somewhere that is more punctual.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing wisdom tooth removal experience. The scheduling process over the phone was quick and easy. Everyone was so nice and efficient, including the front desk staff and the doctor’s assistant. Dr. Satish was kind, attentive, professional, and removed my teeth super fast. The post-op instructions they gave were clear and comprehensive. They also provided me with a syringe to flush the area. I experienced minimal pain (although I was very uncomfortable up to 4 days post-op), but healed within a week. Although healing time does vary by person, Dr. Satish’s expertise definitely played a big role. She also responded very quickly when I texted her about a concern. Overall 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Wow where do I begin with the care at the Decatur Oral and Facial Surgery. In a big city like this, referrals can be tricky and feel political at times but this referral was God Sent. I didn’t get everyone’s name but everyone from the front desk to DR. COLE did what they do exceptionally well. The process was seamless. I took a nap and woke up with pain gone. Simple as that. And to top it all off, Dr. Cole gave me a call at the end of the work day just to check in with me. Fantastic experience: I call 10 minutes before they closed, explained my situation they got me in the next day in doing so they possibly saved my life. (I had in infection in the lower left side of my jaw. If left untreated the infection could have spread to my brain) very affordable with or without insurance and they have such a kind staff. Definitely worth the 2 hour round trip!

Fantastic experience: Today I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed and I had a great experience. My anxiety was so high but once I was called back by Nikki the nurse, I felt more comfortable. Nikki was very calming and very reassuring while prepping me for my surgery. She answered all my questions with ease and helped me calm my nerves. I was talking to her asking her lots of questions and giving scenarios and she told me everything I needed to reassure I was in good hands. I had anesthesia and IV fluid hydration. She explained all my after care to me and what to expect. By the time Dr. Cole came in I was ready. Dr. Cole greeted me with a great smile and great energy. I can tell they love what they do and practice with care and kindness. I had all my meds called in for me to cover infection, pain, and nausea . The printed after care information and Gauze really helped me and my husband out once we got back home. 10/10! Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery through the VA's community care program. To date I have attended three appointments. The first was the standard consultation. My final two visits were for a major oral surgical procedure. During each visit Dr. Cole and his staff were always courteous and exemplified exceptional professionalism. They really made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Dr. Cole took the time to explain the procedure to me in great detail, afterwards he asked whether or not I had any questions or concerns. Ultimately the staffs courteousness, Dr. Cole's ability to ease my concerns in addition to his professionalism were the determining factors in deciding to move forward with having my procedure performed at Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery's Decatur office.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Satish did her big one. They talked me into doing local anesthesia so i could do same day surgery and I don't regret it! The initial needles into the site hurts very badly for like 20 seconds. But then everything is numb! I felt nothing and I was awake whole time. I thought I would feel pain day after surgery and I feel nothing. The pain the tooth caused me is gone. My face was numb for about 3 hours after surgery thankfully. My pain after numbing was minimal I didn't even have to use the Oxycodone . I'm glad she was recommended by my dentist.

Fantastic experience: I came in for wisdom teeth extractions. I didn’t have a referral, so I’m extremely pleased with my choice. EVERYONE was professional, pleasant, and moved with a sense of urgency! Dr. Cole was amazing! I didn’t feel like a conveyor belt patient. Fantastic experience: Last Friday was my first time going to Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery. From the time I got there, the staff was very polite and professional up until I left. They checked me in and was very helpful with everything I needed to know or do. Once I was in the back, Dr. Satish was very attentive to all my needs. She did an awesome job with my extractions. I have not had any complications everything is healing just fine. I will definitely go there again as well as recommend their services to family and friends.

Fantastic experience: It all started with Jennifer answering the phone making my appointment she was kind and friendly when I got to the office the staff was smiling and made me feel at ease because I am terrified of the dentist. Alisha call me back took my X rays and chatted with me to make me feel comfortable. I was them met by Dr Satishchandran she explained everything that she was gonna to and what to expect after surgery. I had all my wisdom teeth removed plus another molar. This is the day after I haven’t had to take any pain pills I just have swelling. Thanks to the entire staff 10/10 service.

They went above and beyond! My extraction went extremely well. I have little to no pain in the area. I really appreciate the attentiveness and care I received. I highly recommend Dr. Cole and his sidekick, Nikki!

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here! Dr. Satish and Angel (who assisted with the procedure) were kind, explained everything thoroughly, and made the entire process easy. Dr. Satish even directly communicated with me in the days after the procedure to answer any questions or concerns I had. The entire team created a great environment and were very thoughtful. Negative experience: Dr. Satishchandran and her team were very informative about the work I needed done. The office is clean and I’d recommend them to anybody who needs work done. Edit: I dealt with a lot of dental pain after my procedure, I contacted the office multiple times and requested the doctor to call me. And I never received a call back. I wish I didn’t have to deal with the after care alone. Edit: Triple check to make sure they're in-network. I received a large bill 10 months after my operation, even though I was told they were within network. Also, they pay people in gift cards to give five star reviews. Update: 5/2/2025: I’ve called the office multiple times and have been given nothing but excuses for my bill. Nicole at the front desk told me she was the manager, and later followed up and said her manager would contact me. I’ve never received a phone call. I’ve reached out to whoever responded to my review, I’ve never received a call back or an email. The billing department will leave you on hold forever and never call back when prompted. It seems the only way to get in contact with anybody is through a google review. This place is NO BETTER than any other chain dentistry. They will take your money and lie to you to get your service. You’re better off going to Mint dentistry or someplace similar. At least you know what you’re getting. I can’t get anybody to follow up. It looks like I’m stuck with a large bill. Multiple “managers” have said I wouldn’t have to pay the bill. More lies. I wish I could give this place zero stars.

Fantastic experience: I came in with four wisdom teeth that needed to be taken out and two impacted lower teeth and I was in so much pain. I was very nervous about getting the surgery done but Dr. Satish helped me through the process and it went very smooth. She’s truly so great at what she does and makes me feel comfortable everytime I come in. They gave me all of the information I needed and Angel was very kind to me too. Jennifer at the front desk is so sweet and answers any questions that I had as well. I was referred by my dentist and I wanted to be treated at a facility with a woman doctor and staff and I was not disappointed. I definitely recommend their services! I would say parking is a little complicated for first timers and i’m not a huge fan of paying for parking but I do think treatment here is worth it!

Fantastic experience: Dr. David Cole and his staff were wonderful. He was patient and attentive. He answered all my questions and concerns. The staff were kind and supportive. Their behavior lowered my anxiety in preparation for the surgery. The only reason I didn't rate them a 5 star was to my knowledge I did not receive an at home followup call a few days after surgery. Added Review April 25th. I needed some insurance information. I stopped by there on the way to see my optomalogist next door. I spoke to Nicole. It was at the end of the day and you could tell she was tired and most likely could have done better without another request, but she said she would drop it off before she went home. Honestly, I imagined her sneaking out a back door.....but she kept her promise! Not only did she provide the needed info she added details to clarify its meaning. Nicole went the extra mile when I know she could have taken the short trip home. I'm sure her office appreciates her dedication. I sure did!

Fantastic experience: Dr. David Cole and his team are excellent. I was actually referred by my dentist to another oral surgeon and the reviews were horrific. I went with my gut and searched and found Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery. Dr. Cole is extremely funny and informative. He Is thoughtful about the right approach for you. I’ve heard horror stories of how people couldn’t get in touch with the office or doctor after the surgery. They have that all laid out for you. The experience was so impressive that my husband is going to schedule an appointment to have his wisdom tooth removed as it has a unique situation similar to the one Dr. Cole extracted for me. Please keep up the good work. I’d give 10 stars if I could.

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my dentist for a tooth extraction, and I'm so happy she did. I called Wednesday afternoon and was given an appointment for the following Monday afternoon. Everyone was amazing from my check-in process to billing and of course, my surgery completed by Dr. Cole. My extraction was painless with the exception of the local anesthesia being injected. Hopefully, I won't require anymore extractions, but if I do, I'd come back and recommend everyone I know to this dental practice.

Negative experience: What a joke. I called this office after being referred from my doctor. They were eager to get me in and when I finally spoke with someone they kept me on the phone for more than 20 minutes getting all my insurance information and history. I came to my appointment 30 minutes early and good thing as their directions for parking and getting to office were clear as mud. I checked in, and 25 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start they call me up and tell me that they didn’t take my insurance. They had that information long before my appointment. So morning wasted and 12 dollars for parking. I would give zero stars.

Fantastic experience: Edit 4-8-25 I had my implants done today . I must say my first review was good but didn’t do full worth. The office it self is “A well oiled machine.” The atmosphere is one of the best I have ever seen . Front desk young lady and her assistant Angel made me feel so comfortable about my procedure . Angel is so professional yet knowledgeable and friendly Dr .Shuriti is the Absolute best . She truly cares for her patients and goes to bat for us . They truly make everyone feel like family . She is so good about following up and explaining exactly what is being done . They work very quickly and yet so detailed and efficient.. Hands down my top 5 best experiences. Fantastic experience: So I had my wisdom teeth extracted today. I was crying like a baby because I was so scared of getting put to sleep. Dr. Cole has been fantastic with the procedure. I didn’t remember anything of it all I remember was getting prep and bam woke up in the car. It was so quick. No pain just lil swelling. I’m grateful that I was able to get through this process because i needed my 4 wisdom that are impacted to come out asap. I highly recommend this place for extractions or just needed to get a tooth pulled. It wasn’t bad at all it’s real quick. The atmosphere made me very calm and I’m so glad to experience this at this facility. Thank you Dr. Cole and the entire staff that help me got over this fear. I’ll definitely do sedation again in the future with my teeth.

Fantastic experience: Everyone at Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery was AMAZING! They all made sure I was confortable since day one of consultación. Negative experience: Months after my procedure they billed my insurance incorrectly and then tried to send me another bill after I already paid the 800 out of pocket price in clinic. I reached out to my insurance company to see why it declined and my insurance company stated they submitted the icd10 code incorrectly and needed to fix this and resubmit. I told the office this and they rudely said that’s not their problem and now I need to pay the addition almost 900 they failed to get from my insurance company. Threatening to put on my credit due to their lack of knowledge!
