Academy Kids Dental Vision and Orthodontics

Positive experience: Had issues coming into the place due to scheduling, however the team handled the issues very professionally! Mia helped us through the whole process and made sure we understood everything we were getting into, alstwhile making us feel comfortable.

Positive experience: I have been bringing my kids here for quite some time, however extremely disappointed in the professionalism of some of the staff especially the doctors. I know that Colorado does have HIPAA and your information should be kept private between you and your patient. However, whatever is going on with someone’s teeth or just their dental care in general they announce it over the whole room. I don’t think that’s very professional. I think they should be able to talk to you in a quieter manner giving you the information about your child. But instead they yell the information over the room. It is not everyone’s business rather or rather not my child has a cavity or doesn’t have a cavity, recently went there, and my son was embarrassed that all of his dental information was spread throughout the room. I found it very unprofessional From the dental hygienist and the doctors. This is not the first time this is happened. I tried to bring it to their attention however, continuously happens. I will continue to look into who I have to speak with in order to get changes. I understand that everyone’s care is being done in the same room however, my information is not everyone’s information. Other than that, they do a good job at what they do. They just need to learn to respect people’s privacy.

Fantastic experience: My daughter just turned 3 and it was her first time ever at the dentist! Dr. Marcie and her assistant Diana are a KILLER team! They made my daughter feel comfortable, safe, and she even left smiling! Couldn’t be more thankful!

Fantastic experience: My 4 children go to kids academy on Austin bluff for vision and dental they are very friendly and get the job done quickly and work with you. I have chosen the best place. Go see them and they will take care of all your needs.

Fantastic experience: My 3 year old went to see Audrina and it was a wonderful experience. My daughter was nervous and she put her at ease and made the whole experience so fun that she asked me a few weeks later if she could go back to the dentist! Negative experience: Don’t bother. Over the years, we have been understanding and patient but have experienced numerous miscommunication and issues with scheduling appointments, showing up and saying that we don’t have an appointment, etc. Long wait times historically over 7 years time as clients when you do show for appointments. We have also experienced issues with billing, having charges communicated from our insurance company for things like education, instruction etc for our kids, which literally should be covered anyhow during a normative cleaning each year. We attempted to visit this morning, 9am for both boys to have cleanings, and were told that we did not have an appointment for either. Then said that, yes, I do have an appointment for one, but it’s just not showing up on their system. Then changed her mind again, reiterating after talking to the manager that I never had an appointment. I confirmed both appointments via email yesterday. I showed her many times from my email (also, for some reason she has to keep double checking my confirmation as though I’m not being honest) the confirmation for said appointments. Still, we rescheduled for 2 PM this afternoon, and unfortunately, we were 10 minutes late because construction up and down Austin Bluffs by their office. We did our best to be understanding, drive across town twice to come in today, even after their error. At 2:12, after checking both kids in on the tablet, I was told that I would have to reschedule for an hour and a half later, even with all of the aforementioned, and knowing that their cleanings are only allotted a 30 minute time space because I’m beyond the 15 minute cut off. We walked in to check in at 2:10, their “cutoff” is 2:15. Ironically enough, the wait room was also almost empty today, so it’s not as though there weren’t providers available. I will never return again, as that is absolutely ridiculous to have two children sitting in the waitroom for that long when I was already bending over backwards to be kind, and reschedule from your error this morning. You just lost 2 clients, from both vision & dental permanently. You cannot waste people’s time, and have them take off of work and expect them to be treated that way. Super disappointing!!!

Negative experience: We love the ladies on the vision side. Lauren is so fun, knowledgeable and helpful the doctor is also amazing. As far as anything else goes it's been a nightmare. We've been coming to academy kids for over 10 years I'm not sure what happened but I had to leave the dental clinic after 6 huge instances of my child "falling through the cracks" to name a few things they lost her retainer for over a month, demanded I get a wisdom tooth pulled (wrong patient all together but refused to help until I argued and came in with paperwork showing it was the wrong patient.) They are rude and uncaring and nothing gets passed along to management. None of my issues are noted ever and it's gotten to the point where I will need to find a new eye doctor as well, which stinks cause shes a gem. Idk why but everything has absolutely gone to poo. Save yourself some time and stress and find literally anywhere else to go. I previously rated 4 stars and if you would've asked a year ago I would've recommended them, I'm sad that I have to change after all this time.

Fantastic experience: Excellent team! Beautiful humans treating kids with gentleness and patience. My kid never cried while procedure was being done. They explain to both of us everything they were doing at the moment. They are awesome!

Always easy scheduling and have always been mostly professional and considerate, but never experienced as good as a team as Ms. Audrina, Estella, Hillary, & Dr. Oliver! Thankful for anyone so kind to my kids & I. Thankful for all their efficient care and timelines! Update: had our vision appt today with Miss Sherrie! So sweet, quick & efficient! Edit 7/11/2025: always such a good staff when I come into this office. Very efficient and kind. Does not mind answering questions or pausing for anxiousness.

Fantastic experience: During my experience at Academy Kids Dental, I would admit that it was a little nerve racking since I’ve always never been a fan of going to the dentist but when Hillary took place of my appointment I had felt a lot more comfortable in the space. She made sure I was okay and checked to see if I was comfortable. She was very gentle and quick with removing and filling my cavity. I’d say she was one of the nicest and kind hearted dentist. Fantastic experience: Staff is extremely friendly and really work together as a team. Saw first hand how supportive Dr. Seth was when communicating with another dentist in the office during a slow end of the day, giving a thumbs up to her needs and taking care of patients at the practice.

We've been coming to Academy Kids for years and really appreciate Dr Shaw's wonderful bedside manner. She's friendly and the kids know what's happening every step of the way. She's always been great for our annual eye checks and also for the few times that random things have happened. She's knowledgeable and so quick. We will definitely continue to come here.

Fantastic experience: I've never been here, but I can speak to the character of the dentist named Marcia. Walk to King Soopers without the expectancy of rain. It started to pour rain, so I sucked it up, dealt with it and started walking back home in the rain. When Marcia, a dentist at this place, popped out and gave me her umbrella to use while I walk home. Marcia, thank you so much. I returned your umbrella to a young lady with red hair who was one of the receptionist. Thank you so much once again. That speaks to the heart behind one of the dentists that works here.

Dr Flack also always brings laughter among the room as well and it really helps lighten the mood especially when I don't want to be there.

Although there was some confusion with our appointment times, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, and I was truly impressed by their effort and professionalism. Adrena from the dental team was especially helpful she kept me informed throughout the process and ensured that the transition between appointments was smooth and stress-free. Over in vision, Lauren was incredibly patient and had a great sense of humor, which helped put my daughter at ease. As a mom, I often worry about how staff will handle her dramatic reactions, which are her way of coping with fear. But Lauren handled it all with grace and kindness, finding humor in the moment and helping my daughter feel comfortable and safe. Thank you to the entire team especially Adrena, Lauren Dr. Seth and Dr. Marcie for your compassion, patience, and professionalism. You truly made our visit a positive experience!

Had to update because Jess is the one who worked with my 17 year old daughter, and she was incredible herself! We walked out in good tears, because my daughter finally showed her teeth when she smiled! Update to add…. We just visited the eye side and oh my goodness…. Lauren was the absolute best!!!!!! Her energy and patience with the kiddos is unmatched.

My little candy snatcher had to get a cap on his tooth and Hillary and Claudia were amazing with him and myself. They made sure my son and I were comfortable every step of the way. Fantastic experience: Lauren in vision was great with my younger 2 kids. She had tricks to get them to do the eyedrops with no issues. Very Friendly. Thorough and quick. The lady that did my older 2 I wasn't in the room but they said she was funny and helpful and quick.

Fantastic experience: I had originally brought in my 2 daughters for their eye exam (5 &12) & my 3 yo son had came along as well. So as we were getting thru the appointments they asked if I wanted my son to be examined as well .. mind u this would be my son first appointment besides doc ever! I was nerves because he doesn't talk very much & is kinda wild lol & I don't know if he was ready for all that but I went with my gut instinct & I said yes & I'm so glad I did Lauren made us feel so comfortable like we were fam honestly & he did so well! My kids all loved her and the process was great even after my son got a bit irritable at the end of the appointment. Great customer service. Thanks again Lauren!
