Negative experience: I don’t mind waiting past my appointment time, I get it, things happen. my appointment was for x-rays, cleaning, an evaluation and making new appointments for fillings. The young gentleman who took us back, didn’t seem to be to enthusiastic about his job. My mom had to ask for x-rays, to see where fillings are needed. He took the wrong x rays and then told us that , because they are short staffed, they were out of “X-ray material “. When the dentist took Quick Look in his mouth, she was talking about his wisdom teeth, which are coming in, but are not an issue at this time.. we are driving 2 hours to your clinic, but no cleaning, no explanation unless directly asked twice, and noticeably being in a hurry was not a great impression and needs improvement

Fantastic experience: I had a issue, when the lab lost my bottom dentures, but that is been resolved, so ill be waiting for my dentures, can't wait to get them back ,otherwise I have had good experiences with the employees, very nice

Negative experience: I've gotten cavities filled here and the cap falls off within the first year. You can't call them and leave s voicemail, either, so they are impossible to get ahold of. Have had problems getting my meds sent to the right pharmacy. They also expect you to pay 100$ if you need to be put unde, they won't let insurance cover it. So if you're somebody who needs to be put asleep to see the dentist, this isn't the place to go. They also cancel your appointments frequently, even after having been waiting months to get in and have extreme pain.

Fantastic experience: my son had a toothache and we couldn’t get him in anywhere and they got him in right away and fixed a couple of his teeth a couple days later and he has another appointment to fix more.

Positive experience: I was a bit apprehensive at first because there was a bit of miscommunication about my initial appt and having an anxiety/mood disorder made it that much harder for me. Regardless, I scheduled my next appt– which was to remove the rest of my bad teeth to make way for dentures– some 13 teeth or more. I was called to the back promptly after arrival (this was this morning) and the nurse got my vitals etc,– the doctor who was close behind, asking me what I wanted to do‐ all of them at once– a few at a time– etc. I chose removing all of the bottom ones as they were the most painful and plentiful of the ones I needed extracted. The doctor went right to work with the numbing agent– always a bit painful– they then went to look after another patient as that took hold. Upon returning, she asked if I had any spots that weren't numb, which I did, and she got another shot down in there and started to work on the other side. Her asking me what teeth I was comfortable with being extracted and where I needed more numbing agent made me feel cared for– I wasn't just the next mouth in a factory belt type manner. After a few minutes– like the time it has taken you to read up to this point, she said "Ok, all your bottom teeth are out," and she began reciting the aftercare instructions. I realize now that the weird feeling of very thick hair in my mouth was the doctor making the final stitches in my gums. That was 8 o'clock this morning, and its nearly 4pm now. No pain whatsoever. Sure, it's a little tender at the gums, but Ive only taken ibuprofen. The moral of ths story is: I choked on getting all of them done at once because this was my intial experience with this doctor– what if they butchered my mouth? I'm now kicking myself in the butt because had I known I would've let her taken all of them and even more! I have no qualms at all about recommending this dentist!

Fantastic experience: I have absolutely terrible dental anxiety, to the point that I haven’t went to the dentist for years. I booked here with Dr.Gudym, him and his dental assistants were very kind and he did great with my teeth. I took my 4 year old daughter to him also and she had no pain or fear. She left feeling very happy, and with all the work he’s done for me I’m also left feeling very happy and grateful for my new smile. 10/10 I highly recommend this dental place.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Guydm is always so great with my son now (10). He started seeing Dr. Guydm around the age of 5. My son was so afraid of the dentist. Dr. Guydm made sure to spend extra time with him and explained everything very well. My son now is no longer afraid to go to the dentist. He is a excellent child dentist. I love how patient he is with my son. He is the only dentist my son is ok with seeing. You guy's are amazing. Thank you for everything you do.

Negative experience: Every appointment I had to wait 30 mins or more and that's after I got called in back. The lady I saw always in a hurry and her English couldn't hardly understand. Every room that I was in in the back the seats were ripped, paint chipping on walls, the female who took my X-rays was rushing cause the pictures was not clear, "Doctor" couldn't even see clearly but didn't ask to redo the X-rays. So they don't care about you, they just want your money.not worth it. I'm currently looking for another dentist. 1/2 a is better. And clean your 1 bathroom.

Negative experience: I paid 138$ for a cleaning and said my teeth are very sensitive and ask for numbing gel applied with Q-tips and they wanted to reschedule cause they didn’t have the 5 min instead gave me literally 2 min polish for 138$ would not recommend any body to go there they suck

Fantastic experience: I want to say a big thank you to Dr. Oleksii Gudum. He’s the first dentist who was able to treat my 5-year-old son without any crying, fear, or stress. Before this, we had tried other dentists, but my son was always very scared — it usually ended in tears and frustration. With Dr. Gudum, everything was different. He was calm, gentle, and really knew how to talk to my child and make him feel safe. My son didn’t cry or panic — he actually let the dentist do everything without a problem! What also meant a lot to me was that I was allowed to sit next to my son during the whole appointment. I could hold his hand and comfort him, which helped him feel even more relaxed. Not every clinic allows that, and for a small child, it makes a big difference. We’re very thankful and will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend Dr. Gudum to any parent looking for a kind and professional children’s dentist.

Negative experience: Getting my teeth gum depth majorly poked and prodded by Dr Chavez was the worst dental experience I've ever had. Nothing was even offered for the pain or to numb the gums. Her attitude was rude and unprofessional. The young female office manager didn't have good customer service, empathy or really even seem to care. I wouldn't go back, and definitely stay away from Ms Chavez.

Negative experience: After making me wait for 45 mins, I was told that the office was under staffed and not had the equipment to do teeth cleaning procedure. This was the second time I experienced such un professional behavior at Familia dental. Never going back again. Time to find a new dentist office. I am not able to post without a minimum one star here. So yhisb1 star is just to post my review otherwise zero stars for customer service.

Positive experience: Lately, the scheduling has been an issue. Twice now- I had my appointment scheduled with the wrong doctor and had to go back. My son had an appointment scheduled and even gave us a card.. go to the appointment and he’s not even scheduled. Extremely frustrating. Dr. G is still amazing! My kids and husband have other dentists there. Not as impressed with them; wish they had the same person as me.

Fantastic experience: They have a very hard job and I wouldn't want to do it. My doctor was a little testy today but she's working on a Saturday and women are so cute when they are just trying to get through the day like the rest of us. So if your experience wasn't perfect, nothing in life is!

Negative experience: Not very good experience told them I was kinda in pain for a curtain tooth and all they did was just an x-ray and said I shouldn’t feel any pain blah blah but then I went to another dentist after and they actually did tests on the same tooth and finally figured out the problem. Familia really didn’t listen that’s why I’m only giving them a one star.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist in like 16 to 20 years and I had to go because I developed a sore jaw and I had a really bad experience when I was a kid throughout my growing up years and I was petrified. I started freaking out and they worked with me and they were so kind And I’m happy to go back.

Negative experience: absolutely awful experience i will not be returning. the dr was very disrespectful and wouldn’t listen to me and had a very bad attitude and was being disrespectful to my friend that i had with me and actually stabbed the inside of my mouth where i had a sore from anxiously biting my cheek that he stabbed and made me bleed. worst experience ive ever had at a dentist in my life. Negative experience: There are so many times they have canceled my appointments with late notice because there wouldn't be my Dentist there, or they scheduled me with the wrong Dr for the wrong proceedure. This last time I went in to have my gums shaved for my dentures to fit, and they scheduled me for a checkup and a teeth cleaning for teeth I dont even have! Theyre the ones I even got my dentures thru so its not like they shouldn't have known. Im pretty disgusted but have no other options because of my insurance and they know it so they can just mess around with you at their leisure. If you have the option, go somewhere else.

Negative experience: Horrible custome care and service Witnessed someone walk in who had an appointment to get an infected tooth removed (something obviously painful and behavior altering) only to get turned away because they "ran out of instruments". When the customer asked why he wasn't called and informed they made excuses instead of taking accountability or offering a solution for his time and money. After he'd left upset they made fun of him for an issue they caused, it was gross behavior to witness. During separate instances I have been stuck waiting for over an hour while they took people back with appointment times after the ones I was there for, have listened to people complaining of pain and being told "it's fine". This place is a nightmare, don't come here.

Fantastic experience: - I was able to easily book an appointment that was within a reasonable timeframe online. - Reception desk was very kind, got my insurance all set up. Great service. - This is a “no frills” dental office which works for me! - The cleaning was more so a “polish” and I personally prefer a lot more scraping (I have a permanent bottom retainer than can trap a lot of gunk). The dentist did scrape some for me when I requested which I appreciated. They may be short dental hygienists and that is why? Just guessing. - They addressed some old fissures that needed to be filled. The dentist was able to have me wait, and complete the work the same day!!! I was so blown away by the convenience of that. I was very appreciative my teeth didn’t have to wait. - My dentist was so incredibly kind and personable. 10/10 professional manner. Overall, if you have Medicaid/badgercare definitely go here. If you value your time and need procedures done, absolutely a great choice. If you are used to the Cadillac of dental plans, their no frills approach might not be your cup of tea. I may pay out of pocket to get a thorough cleaning somewhere else, but you betcha I will be back at Familia if I have any work to be done!

Fantastic experience: I would give it a ten star if I could. From check in to check out everyone was friendly efficient and knowledgeable. I went in as a new patient with an abscessed tooth and was promptly treated by Dr Gudym. Excellent dentist. Took the time to throughly explain my options. I opted for an extraction which he did immediately. No waiting weeks to get a new appointment. He removed the abcessed tooth with very little discomfort. It was a busy time but their efficiency showed. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I went all the way to my appointment for my teeth and then they wouldn't let me take them cuz the other dentist has to deliver them to me not the person they had me scheduled to see. I drove over a hour to get them defiantly zero stars

Positive experience: The dentist that was assigned to me was very abrupt and rough working with my mouth. I had to talk her into putting my crown on my tooth that had fallen out a few days before. I was on vacation and it needed to be done. I didn't want my tooth exposed and would not be back home for extended period of time. The positive aspect was all the other people that I came in contact with. The appointment folks got me in that day and we're very sweet. The front desk and the dental assistant were all wonderful!

Negative experience: The staff ( at least the ones that helped me) were completely unsanitary! One of the nurses pushed garbage down in a garbage can then put on gloves without even thinking to wash hands. The Dr. running in between rooms kept the same mask on!! When you laid down in the chair and looked at the small light it was filthy. Looked like flossing your teeth and the spit was all over it.Then at the end of the appointment just left the room. I didn’t know if I was waiting for someone to come back out of I was supposed to leave. After about 10 minutes I showed myself out while someone yelled have a good night! She was with a patient! Never had such a bad experience with any company this is a place where you are putting hands in my mouth. Just very unhappy with the appointment.

Fantastic experience: I loved the place! Very friendly atmosphere. Thank Goodness I went in for this appointment to finally have realized, what quit a few times, was floating in my mouth chipping even my teeth. Even more amazing is now I know what calcii is in my kidneys. Plaque calci. I've swallowed a few of these. And I now know even more details, I didn't know, about my periodontal condition. I did get sensodyne toothpaste and even found a kind that had a little pain relieving ingredient in the toothpaste.

Positive experience: My wife had a bad experience with a woman dentist here, we believe her name is shawman. She had the nerve to say "please don't scream" after she screamed in pain because she didn't numb her enough after being told it still hurt. But my experience was better with a different dentist. Please be aware of the dentist you go to.

Negative experience: I went in for a filling and they didn’t even fill in my tooth all the way on one side causing it to hurt when I bite down and the other side of my tooth was causing a blister on my tongue. So uncomfortable I will never be back. I also sat in the chair for almost 40 minutes before they started to work on it

And it was a very good experience with not much pain at all, really.

Fantastic experience: I went with a broken tooth. Eli, hygienist, is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The young lady at the front desk was very patient and helpful while I fumbled for insurance info. The doctor showed concern, compassion, and good judgement. She was also friendly. Overall I was very happy.

Negative experience: This is the worst dentist I’ve ever been to. I've only been here four times due to my insurance, which they only accepted. The waiting lobby wasn’t bad but the actual waiting room takes the longest. Every time I wait in the client waiting room, I wait for about 30 minutes, and I get very irritated because people don’t have time to wait that long just for their check-up or so. I have Dr. Chavez 4 times now, and she is not on time with her time with clients and not very great with your “professional” attitude. It seems like she rushes to finish her clients. Yesterday, I thought she would do both of my cavities but she only did one on my right side due to the hours closing at 6pm and my last-minute appointment was at 5pm. My appointment was 07/08/2025 at 10am, so I came the next day, to finish off my left side. Came in and said I’m not on the schedule. I showed them my text messages and told them what happened. The front desk did talk, to make sure and said it might be a mistake if Dr. Chavez scheduled a different client for 10am. Then the client had already been here for her appointment at 10am and Dr. Chavez said it’s not a mistake. Um, it is a mistake! Because she told me to come to my appointment the next day so I did! ALSO, my original appointment was on 05/23/2025, but I never received anything, and never knew that Dr. Chavez was on vacation. Because I walked in and was told that she is on vacation, I’m upset. And so they rescheduled to 07/08/2025. I’m upset and very disappointed. Please do better! Now I have to come back tomorrow 07/09/2025 to finish my left side!

Fantastic experience: Yes, the wait times are long. But that seems to be the only real complaint in other reviews. I, however, have nothing but good things to say about this place. I have been to other LaFamilia clinics, both for myself and my son, and I surely cannot say the same. The dentist we see, Dr. Chavez, is very is knowledgeable and professional. She knows exactly what she is capable of doing and will do everything within her skill set to help. She explains things thoroughly and takes time to answer our questions. I, for one, trust the expertise of her and her staff. The office and procedure room are kept up well. Our appointments have been quite late in the evening and they were still very clean. In my opinion, the care provided is well worth the wait.

Negative experience: They did surgery on my wisdom tooth and gave me absolutely nothing for the pain It got infected and I needed to be seen ASAP, they scheduled me out 2 1/2 weeks! Will definitely be finding a new dentist

Negative experience: Dr. Shin saw my familyand I. Spelling could be different. She was rather aggressive with the cleanings. Pretty sure she chipped my wife's tooth. She also tried to act like the surgeon we where sent for her oral surgery didn't do his job, so I know she don't check records. Shows lack of professionalism on that aspect. Short staffed or not, no excuse for the lack of professionalism. Even doctors check the notes before they act like the procedure wasn't done. Also when the xray shows 1 tooth instead of 2, most would ask why it's left rather than say you didn't get the surgery.

Negative experience: Never have the items need for sedation have gone down 2 times and they didn't have it even though I called ahead and asked if they had it all in.

Negative experience: Dr. Chavez does not have good bedside manner at all. She is very dismissive. I fear for children who recieve her care.

Negative experience: Made an appointment for my daughter’s chipped tooth which had a pretty good chip out of it and they said she was due for a cleaning that they could do them at the same time. Dentist said we are too busy to do this today come back in August? WTH why make the appointment in the first place and don’t tell her your too busy. Didn’t even do the cleaning. I did call back and the scheduling lady was very nice and got her back in sooner.

Fantastic experience: I called because I was having a severe tooth ache. They scheduled me the same day. I arrived 20 minutes early. As soon as I sat down, they called me In the back. The nurse was attentive to my concerns and needs. She listened, explained what might happen and took my x-rays. Shortly after the dr. Came in and she gave me options. She explained in detail and also showed me the x rays and what she recommended. I went with her recommendation. Overall it was a very good experience. They were all so kind. I definitely will be going back.. pretty sure I'm going to make Familia Dental my primary dentist! I would recommend my friends and family to also be seen here! Highly satisfied.

Negative experience: Qwaited 1 hr before seeing the dentist. As she was working on a walk-in customer. Shouldn't people with appointments come 1st since the time ran out she was only able to work on 1 tooth totally ridiculous!

Negative experience: Well are appointment was at 11:00 they took us back at 11:23. Took X rays left us sit. Around 11:45 I ask how long yet they said another 10 minutes or so. I had other appointments this day, we had to leave at 11:48. So my son never seen the dentist or had his teeth cleaned. This happens often there. We have to wait so long. Not good. The dentist chair was all ripped up. I did not like my son to sit there. How can you keep it clean from patient to patient. Bathroom had blood on the floor. Did not feel safe with all of this. Not Sanitized at all.

Fantastic experience: I had my Implants done on the west side of Green Bay and the doctor did a phenomenal job! The staff are awesome and they take good care of my teeth every appointment! There dentist is the Guru GOAT of Dental Care!!!!

Fantastic experience: From check in till the end of my appointment everyone there was so nice and I had every question or concern I had answered.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I have to go here because I cannot afford anything else. If you can go to the east side one, go there. This west side one is horrible. East side is faster, nicer, cleaner people. I went in and got a cleaning done but the guy was going full speed on my front lower teeth which u can see are thin and little he goes hmm that's weird. Usually people slow down towards the front... anyway it was messy and he left didn't say a word and I had to get up and rinse my mouth out. Then I waited literally 45 minutes until the doctor came in and they couldn't find the tool to do the rest of the cleaning. The assistant said they were using one that was floating around all day! Gross.... I had to reschedule. SMH.

Negative experience: The clinic look very dirty! They make me fill out forms that I already did. I was scared to get treated in a facility that looks like nobody is taking care of.

Positive experience: They got me in 10 minutes late even though I was there 20 minutes early. I was told that they may be able to work out a payment plan if I need extensive work done and then was told by the receptionist that they don't do that anymore and I don't have insurance. The people were very nice and not judgemental tho and I did appreciate that. And I love the x ray machine, so much nicer and no pain to have x rays done.

Negative experience: I went in for 6 month check up and cleaning, new patient. They didn't clean my teeth, was told they didn't need it. I've gone every 6 months my entire life and have never been told my teeth didn't need cleaning. Actually it's always been the contrary and that I need a deep cleaning done. Now hoping they didn't bill my insurance for a cleaning or I'll have to fight it and/or wait 6 months or longer to go elsewhere. Some other issues as well, but will address elsewhere. In and out in 15 minutes, normally takes an hour. Lol The staff and Dentist were very friendly though.

Negative experience: Wait was horrible they call you to the back just to have you sit there for over 30min. They are not very kind, and are running around and yelling very unprofessional. Doctor came in for 1min (if that) and that’s was it, like if she had more important things to do. Front people don’t even smile, we had to changed dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had a full set of dentures and a partial made and each visit i had the doctor was very accommodating, friendly, and professional! She made sure that I was satisfied with my impressions at every visit When they were finished they looked and very nicely.

Negative experience: Honestly I will nit be going back on more than one occasion the actual dentist was super rude and unprofessional. The first time I personally left in tears. Today I took my daughter and was scolded I stead of informed and the dentist had no sense of privacy for the gentleman next door to my daughter she was super rude and I heard all of it.

Fantastic experience: I have found the Staff at Familia Dental to be very patient oriented. They exhibit professionalism at all times. The Staff provides efficient care and, they take the time to address any questions or issues that may arise while at the appointment.I am well pleased with this Dental Facility. Thank You.

Fantastic experience: Dr Gudym is the best dentist there is. He has been my dentist the past 2 years, and dealing with the challenges of what Chemo can do to your teeth. He cares about his patients

Negative experience: You'd be better off doing your own dental work with a rusty pliers. The staff are rude, the wait times are insane (1 hour+ past appointment time) and the service you get after all that is abysmal. Seriously, go anywhere else, a back alley would be better than this place

Fantastic experience: Needed a walk in appointment and Familia Dental was accommodating. I had to wait but at least I got in. Very professional and helpful staff. My dentist was very knowledgeable and did a great job.
