Fantastic experience: Just finished with some major dental work over the last 2 years and Dr Henley and Chasity were amazing the entire time. I have spent years trying to find the right dentist for my dental work and Village Green Dental team is wonderful. I have a very busy schedule and the text feature they offer works wonders for me. Fantastic experience: This is an update to my initial review 2 years ago, and by far, this office still provides the BEST Dental experience I’ve ever had. Their process, from scheduling to check-in, are easy and convenient. The staff are always kind, accommodating, and Dr Cho is thorough and had a truly pleasant bedside manner. I definitely recommend Village Green!

Negative experience: Edited to add: Dr. Henley has received four disciplinary actions per the IDFPR, including a suspension of his controlled substance license in 2007. I should’ve done my due diligence beforehand, so that’s on me. Trying to be thoughtful about this review, but I’m really disappointed in the ethics of this practice. I’m in my 40s, go to the dentist religiously, and I’ve never so much as had a cavity/filling, let alone other dental work, in my entire life. I have no pain or issues, but came in to establish care since my last dentist retired recently. The hygienist was absolutely wonderful and the office was comfortable and clean. Once I saw the dentist, however, I was shocked to be told that I have numerous cavities, including one tooth that was so decayed I need an extraction. I was quoted a price for this work and encouraged to pay upfront to receive a discount, and they wanted to schedule soon, “before this gets worse, which it will”. I did ask how this level of decay could have happened so quickly since my last visit, and he advised that this had to have been ongoing for many years for it to get this bad. (In short, my last two dentists apparently missed this, in his opinion.) The next day, I requested my records (which was quick and easy, at least) and did some research to find a second opinion from someone experienced and highly-rated in the area. Needless to say, the second dentist’s recommendation did not align at all with the treatment plan I was given at Village Green (which I told them after they evaluated me). The second dentist was careful with their wording, which I appreciated the professionalism, but confirmed that aggressive treatments can compromise the integrity of the teeth, leading to issues and more work down the road. I’m so glad I didn’t go through with their plan without getting another set of eyes on my teeth. Finally, as others have mentioned, I would say to *make sure you know your insurance policy in and out before you proceed with treatment*. When I got home that night I reviewed their estimate against my actual policy. As others have said, the estimates they provide for treatment plans are not actually ran through your insurance, so they quoted me half the cost of what I would have actually owed, leading to a surprise bill had I gone through with the treatment. I can recognize there’s nuance with any healthcare evaluation, as well as preferences to treat more/less aggressively based on personal experience and training. That said, based on my experience alone, it seems like this practice compromises the patient’s best interest in order to maximize profits.

Fantastic experience: This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a dentist appointment. Hands down! The staff is super friendly. Dina was a joy to be around, funny, explained things thoroughly, and answered any questions I had. Great place to go for your dentistry needs:) Saying they are amazing is an understatement, they go above and beyond!

Fantastic experience: Dr.Cho and Brittany are great! My front tooth chipped and I was leaving for vacation in less than 24 hours and they got me in last minute and did a great job. Thank you, Village Green.

Negative experience: The office was clean, modern, and visually welcoming, but that only goes so far. I want to be impressed by a practice’s ethics and transparency, and in that regard, I was not. A major red flag was the misinformation I received about my FSA. I was told I could prepay for a procedure using it, which I knew wasn’t true. It seemed like a tactic to lock me into a treatment plan before the appointment date. Even when I pushed back, the hygienist insisted that billing had confirmed my FSA would prepay. That was misleadingly false. I’ve been receiving regular care from another dentist, yet this office didn’t seem to have my records. Without consideration of my dental history, their aggressive treatment plan felt speculative. When I questioned it, I was told, “some dentists are more conservative.” That only confirmed my suspicion that they tend to push the most invasive (and expensive) options. Between the misleading FSA claim and questionable care approach, I quickly lost trust. I left concerned that this was only the beginning of potential billing issues and unnecessary financial stress. The last thing I want at the dentist is to be on constant lookout for inconsistencies. Patient care should inspire confidence, not suspicion.

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Village Green Dental. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and did a wonderful job making me and my toddler feel welcome during our first visit. They thoroughly explained what they will be doing during our visit and were upfront about costs and insurance coverage. Jacora was my hygienist and she was very personable. She did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. My dentist, Dr. Robles, was also very friendly and did a great job explaining what to do to best care for my oral hygiene. I look forward to going to Village Green Dental for many years to come!

Negative experience: I’ve been a patient at Village Green Dental for many years, and while the dentists and hygienists have always been kind and professional, the experience I had with the front office staff during my most recent visit was extremely upsetting and disappointing. Upon arrival, Makena stood at the front desk without a greeting—no “hello,” no warmth—just immediate concern about a payment needing to be made before my daughter could be seen. I asked why, since the visit hadn’t even gone through insurance yet, and was told that “Codi in billing” said patients couldn’t be seen unless payment was made in advance. I asked to speak with Codi, and Makena returned to inform me that Codi was too busy in her office to speak with me. Then, rather than helping resolve the concern I was raising, Makena began discussing an upcoming balance for my other child’s fluoride treatment—something I had already approved and had nothing to do with the appointment at hand. I found that both unnecessary and inappropriate. I simply wanted clarity on why I was expected to make a large out-of-pocket payment before insurance had even reviewed the claim for this visit. To make matters worse, Codi eventually did come out—not to speak with me professionally, but to tell me she was off the clock and holding her child. I told her I didn’t see the relevance of that if she was choosing to engage with me. What followed was an argument that felt completely avoidable and unprofessional. She accused me of disrespecting her in front of her child, but the reality is, if she was truly off the clock and concerned about that, she should not have come out to confront me while holding her child in the first place. The entire interaction left me feeling that the staff—specifically in billing and front desk—cared far more about money than about patient experience or basic respect. After years of being loyal patients here, it’s incredibly disappointing to be treated this way. Again, I want to emphasize that the dentists and hygienists have always been wonderful, but the front office staff today made us feel unwelcome and dismissed. This is not the experience any patient should have—especially one who’s been coming here for so long.

I was given a stress ball because they knew I was a little nervousthat made me feel a lot more comfortable:) Dr.Cho was great and quick! I have been going here regularly for over 8 years and I am consistently impressed with the professionalism and effort that the team puts in. Negative experience: Been waiting for a refund for many months now. I don't understand why this is so difficult. It from checking to see if it's a true refund, they will expedite it to now it's on the refund list. I'm sure if I owed them, I will be sent to collections.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment to extract my wisdom tooth and do a filling. Dr. Robles and his assistant Margi were both calming, informative, patient, and overall phenomenal at what they do. They understood I was nervous and took the time to explain things thoroughly and reassured me during the process - which made a world of a difference. Dr. Robles also did a post-op check in later that day to see how things were going. I'm thankful to both for such a positive experience.

I have had the pleasure of being cared for by Derrick on my last two visits, and experienced what I feel to be genuine concern for my comfort level. Positive experience: 5 star review for our dental hygienist, Dina! 4 stars for our experience with the dentist. I was excited to find Village Green Dental after several dental offices told me that they would not see my 16 month old son until age 2 (even though the American Dental Association recommends children be seen for the first dental appointment by the age of 1 or when their first tooth erupts). When scheduling the appointment, I requested to be seen by a dentist that is good with kids, as this would be my son’s first experience with a dentist. Dina was wonderful with my son! She let him use the suction to suck up water from a cup and playfully engaged him before, during, and after his time with the dentist. She was helpful in getting him to open his mouth wide for the dentist, took him to a special prize treasure chest after the appointment, and provided helpful toothbrush recommendations to our family. The dentist that we saw was not the dentist that I was told we had been scheduled with (we were not notified of this change at any point). The dentist we saw was not particularly engaging with my son, and simply used a dry toothbrush to touch and examine a few portions of his mouth. I understand that it is tricky to get inside a toddler’s mouth, and I appreciate that the dentist did not upset my son by pushing too hard with an examination or cleaning, but I was a bit disappointed that I am easily able to do a more thorough teeth cleaning myself twice a day with him at home than was completed today at the office. Overall, a happy first experience at the dentist for my son, especially with Dina! Just hoping for a more child friendly match and a more thorough dental exam/ cleaning from the dentist at our next visit.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Village Green Dental Center since 2019, and Dr. Lakha never ceases to impress. Most recently, she did two small fillings that turned out absolutely perfect—so smooth and precise that I didn’t even need to be numbed. Her gentle approach and attention to detail make every visit stress-free. I always feel confident I’m in great hands at VGDC.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a likely root canal and two fillings, left with two fillings and a crown. One of the fillings was the root canal that became a filling due to the Dr.'s skill; the final filling became unnecessary once doing the work and getting a better view. Got a crown for the bigger filling to make sure it all stays in. I appreciate the nimbleness and skill of the Dr. and his team! Easier than I thought, comfortable throughout, and a happy smile.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Henley is a phenomenal dentist made me feel very comfortable during my first consultation and today’s appointment he addressed all my questions and concerns and made sure I was okay throughout the whole process. Jessica his dental hygienist was a nice, pleasant and welcoming person explained every step and made sure to schedule my next appointment for the appropriate procedure . Fantastic experience: This practice is fantastic!! I’m honestly such a big baby about the dentist and today couldn’t have gone better. My hygienist asked if she could use the water tool to clean my teeth which i HATE and she was so happy to do it by hand and just be chatty with me it took my mind off everything. The dentist was so sweet and not a pusher, just someone who really cares. She’s someone that just makes you feel so comfortable you would trust her regardless of your dental fear. I’ll never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend! I had a great experience with Dr Thomas Adams! This Dentist is an artist, and a perfectionist so every detail matters to him. He and his team, Jessica and Makena are absolutely awesome. After having a few bad experiences with other dental offices and being a very nervous patient, Dr Adams was able to put my mind at ease and gave me my smile back. He has a wonderful sense of humor and a gentle hand as well. He took his time and explained everything he was doing during the procedure. Honestly I don't remember the last time I smiled without feeling self conscious about my teeth. Dr Thomas Adams literally has given me my self confidence back & my smile. The office is spotless and relaxing the staff is very attentive and they work well as a team. Fantastic experience: Dr. Robles, and the dental assistant Marg, did a phenomenal job. I was desperate to get in after an accident that happened the night prior, and the team answered the call and got me an appt within the hour. My family and I are making the change and will be going to green valley dental from here on out!
