Negative experience: My son went in for an emergency and was told they took his insurance and then said it was not in network and he owed 125.00. Would not treat the emergency on that day wanted him to come back on a different day. He’s now been to urgent care, his own doctor and is now admitted to Sparrow possibly being transferred to U of M for cellulitis and and a deep infection. It’s all about money not patient care. You should be ashamed. Don’t say you offer emergent care when you don’t.

Fantastic experience: I’m a new patient here and Deb is incredible! She talked me through the entire process as a new patient and never made me feel like a bother. If she ever happens to move offices, I will too!

Fantastic experience: These people are nothing short of complete miracles!!!! I have been with them for just under 10 years and couldn't be happier than I was the day I walked in the door for the first time! They are professional yet completely friendly and make you feel like you are part of their team. Their work is par none, if you tell them that you are afraid of anything as far as Dental goes, they will put you with people that they know are exceptionally good in your area of fear. They try so hard to work with your insurance companies to get things approved, they don't look at you as a customer, you are their patient and I would say even more so a friend. Which is why they will be in my heart forever as friends, along with being the most professional Dental office I've ever come across. I would suggest them to adults as well as children!!!!!!Thank you for all your help!

Fantastic experience: My kids were patients at this dentist years ago and loved it. We ended up just coming back here again recently and my child still loves it so much. He's had this fear of dentists for years now and when we came back here that all went away. They are genital and make you feel so comfortable. They have Netflix and coffee and most of the rooms have a beautiful view out the window of the woods which is a nice change up from a typical dentist setting. Will continue staying with this dentist. We love it here!

Unfortunately I went in for a teeth whitening and paid in full came out with zero difference I am extremely unhappy. I would have never went here in all honesty if this is what I was getting. I just gave them 300 dollars for zero difference.

Negative experience: I've had an appointment scheduled for weeks. Sent them pictures of my insurance cards only to be told the day I walk in that they don't accept my insurance. They tried to get me do a payment plan for 80 bucks and a basic cleaning. They said it could be more depending on the type of cleaning I need and that they have three different cleaning levels. When I asked what the price levels cost they told me it depends and and I have to have my xrays to determine that. They still couldn't give me a price what a joke. A day of work missed and no appointment done because they don't accept my insurance. Do not use this dentist office. They try to hard to keep you there probably to jack up thr price!

Fantastic experience: This place is just amazing they really do great work and help you gain your best smile thru great conversation about. Your needs. They guide you thru tough financial decisions about your teeth. Which make you understand your options fully. I’m definitely always going to come here.

Fantastic experience: We came to this dental office for 2 reasons emergency wisdom teeth extraction and desperation! My significant other has a very complex cardiac procedure coming up for a congenital heart defect. In the beginning of January he seen his dentist and received cardiac clearance for heart surgery he also got a referral for wisdom teeth removal. Mid February UofM calls and he needs his wisdom teeth removed. If he would like to keep his appointment the dental procedure would need to be completed in 6 days due to not being able to have any dental surgery 2 weeks prior to cardiac surgery... I'm desperately calling every dentist from Saginaw to Detroit even after explaining the urgency not office I was able to schedule with that wasn't 60-120 days out. I came across Smile Fresh they completely accommodated his needs in the short amount of time but it had to be one of the most positive dental experiences we've ever had! From the receptionist to the end I have nothing but good feelings for them all. They cared about his needs and insured me they will do all that can be done to resolve any issues. We left knowing our family will be returning for all our dental needs.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THIS DENTIST. They recommend work you don't need and overcharge to run the bill above what your insurance pays to get you to apply for Care Credit. Once you get approved they charge 100% of the limit before they do any work or even bill your insurance. Then, once they received that money, they bill your insurance the full amount as well. I called to ask about this and was told they do it that way to ensure they get paid because a lot of patients don't pay their remaining bill leaving them short. If I apply for the line of credit thru you, you have the account number on file and can charge it the difference after my insurance pays their portion. I will be contacting the BBB and looking at having them investigated.

Fantastic experience: Deb is an excellent hygienest with an eye for detail and a gentle touch. She makes every visit feel special with her bubbly, care-free personality; and yet is able to balance this with the utmost level of skill and professionalism.

Fantastic experience: I had such a wonderful experience here. I had to get my wisdom teeth out (all 4 of them). My insurance doesn’t cover extractions, so they worked with me on a payment plan so that I could get them out. During the procedure, I wasn’t put under, just numbed up, but I didn’t feel any pain at all. The healing has gone very nicely with no pain at all and I feel a whole lot better. The staff is super nice; they even texted me to check how I was doing. Dentists terrify me so I was super anxious, but this is the first dentist i have ever gone to that didn’t make me scared to come back. Highly recommend!!

It had been many years since my last dentist visit. Shavon, the Dental Hygienist, was extremely friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and skilled. The office was very clean and the technology they are using now-a-days was very impressive. They explained in great detail the total costs of my needs. If something did not make sense, they took time to explain it several different ways until it clicked. This is a great business that employs great people.

Fantastic experience: UPDATED REVIEW. I originally came here 6 years ago for my first exam in 14 years. And just so happens, that when my insurance recommended a place for my children’s dental services they sent me here. And once again, this office went above and beyond for myself and my family. They were SO patient with my twins. Shavon turned on their favorite show for them to watch on the TV in their room. And while the dental X-rays were an absolute pain to get through, she never got frustrated or lost her patience. One of my children had two small cavities, and the entire team that worked on her teeth were professional and caring with her. I’m just so impressed with Smile Fresh. Fantastic experience: A bad experience at another dental office had made me shy away from scheduled dental care for a couple of years. I brought my kids into Smile Fresh and loved the staff and their experience so I decided to give it a shot for myself. Long story short this is my new home for dental care, the staff is exceptional and I have had a couple of treatments now with Deb and she was absolutely amazing. Thanks Deb! My experience with them has me back on track for regular care and comfortable with the dentist and maintenance again. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Called to see if they were accepting new patients. They said they were. Asked if they took my insurance. They said to setup an appointment and then verify my insurance after I sent them photos of insurance card and driver's license. They then sent me a message. "Good Evening Dustin! We look forward to seeing you tomorrow morning at 11:10am. - Chanelle". So I showed up for my appointment and they told me my insurance had not been verified. They got a call back after waiting and they did not take my insurance after all. They then told me if I drove to Troy that they would take my insurance down there. So to sum it up they wasted my time, and I will not be using thier services. Had a very unprofessional experience.

Fantastic experience: I felt welcome as soon as I came it. The staff was amazing and very patient and kind. The hygienist was so sweet and made sure my teeth were throughly cleaned. The dentists was amazing and addressed all my conserns. Even the office manager took the time to thank me and let me know if I have any concerns to reach out. They have a very soft approach that I love. I've had some bad experiences with other dentists but this was by far my best dental experience. I also want to mention they don't try to sell you on unnecessary dental work as other offices tend to do.

Fantastic experience: I called 10 dentist because my tooth broke in half. My dentist who I seen for 20+ years was not open on Monday. so they could see me Tuesday but was not going to help because they were booked. Well you lost my business. Smile Fresh got me in took xrays and pulled the tooth in about an hour which includes my new patient paperwork. Thanks for helping when I needed it.

Fantastic experience: First of all, I haven't been to a dentist for a really long time like two hands long time. It was time because of a month long tooth pain. They got me rather quickly. Unlike all other experiences with dentists. No extra B.S. was done just straight to the task at hand. X-rays were done and came up with a plan of what could be causing the pain (bad tooth and had it pulled). For once, a dentist didn't make me lie to them. Aka, ask how many man times a day you floss? Really, who has time/commitment to floss. If I had that much dedication in my life, I wouldn't waste it on flossing. I believe the doctor name was Ali but was in a lot of pain and really high anxiety. So some details are missed. What I'm sure of is. That his wife is a very lucky lady. His hands were gentle but yet firm at the same time. The doctor made sure I didn't feel any pain and asked me lots of times if I had any pain. due to that fact, I was visibly shaking my legs. No pain, just kinda awkward after meeting some 15 min later nuckle deep in my mouth. Thinking I hope this guy doesn't have to put his foot in my chest to pull the tooth out. What you can take from this review is that the staff is great, and so is the dentist. So much so I'm going back for a complete rebuild of what can be called neglected, unloved, road hard, put away wet kind of mouth. P.s I believe they are moving to a newer building but once again not a 100% sure of the validity of statement.

Negative experience: First time I went here and got a root canal, the dentist was sick and gave me a nasty sinus infection. My root canal failed and I made an appointment to go back and have received just the most awful service. 0 bedside manner. Left me infected and swollen and with 0 options for pain management. I went to see a specialist who referred me for an extraction and got me on proper antibiotics. I tried to get my tooth extracted today, appointment at 10:30am and ended up walking out after waiting over an hour in the waiting room without anybody checking in or letting me know I wasn't forgotten about. Taking my business elsewhere.

Negative experience: I have been going here for the last few years and never had an issue with any of the staff. I have a very busy schedule like a lot of people and I had to call and cancel my appointment last minute due to a meeting that came up at work. I have been trying to make time to come to the dentist but I have had to reschedule a few times due to either being sick or work. I have no problem with the cancellation fee as I understand that they are loosing an appointment for the day. However, when I called to cancel my appointment I do not understand why I was being talked to like I was an inconvenience. I was told in a bit of an annoyed voice by the staff member that due to my canceling last minute there was no way they can get a patient to fill that spot and to not call and schedule an appointment until I could 100% be there. I do not feel it was appropriate or professional to say that to a patient who honestly just could not make and I was not even arguing about the cancellation fee or being mean in any way. She could have simply just told me about the fee and to call when I was able to schedule a time to come in since I was unsure of another date off hand but instead I feel like I was talked down to. Customer service is all about perception and how you talk to people so it is important to listen to how you sound when talking to people because things can be easily misinterpreted.

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 stars, I would. There are never any other patients in there, which is why they can get you on the schedule so fast. That should have been my first red flag. They quoted me for $6,700 of work (2 fillings replaced, one root canal, one crown, and a deep cleaning) and said it all needed all to be done right away, most of which was unnecessary. I got half of my teeth cleaned before I found some red flags. I cancelled my next 3 appointments and went to get a second opinion… lo and behold NONE of the work I need done is emergent. And I do not actually need a root canal AT ALL. My actual cost at a different dentist is less than a quarter of what they quoted me. They also charged my credit card for the full $6,700 of work even though all I had done so far was half of a deep cleaning! My portion after insurance should have been $220! I have asked around, checked with my new dentist, and checked with care credit and this is absolutely NOT normal or okay. The office manager kept saying she did this so I wouldn’t have extra payments when I get the rest of the services, which is not correct at all. She obviously doesn’t know how a credit card works. No one in their right mind would pay for services they haven’t received yet!!! They also offer a contest if you leave them a review. It seems to me they only ask that of people who they are sure had a good experience. Sounds like they are trying to drown out all the negative reviews!

Fantastic experience: It has been years since my last dentle visit. All the staff were so so kind. I did not feel judged or looked down upon for how my teeth were. I wish I had dentle care like this for my whole life. Deb and Angela were just the best.

Fantastic experience: I went to the dentist for the first time in 15 years as a grown adult at the age of 24. Absolutely terrified out of my mind, shaking and sweating. Visibly nervous. They did everything to make me feel as comfortable as possible. For the amount of work needed to be done, and my anxiety level… I will say this couldn’t have gone any smoother! Great environment and incredibly professional. I walked out of there feeling so good about myself. I didn’t think after 15 years my teeth would ever look the way they do…. This place does a great job and the reviews speak for themselves.

Fantastic experience: After calling dentist and urgent cares we finally found Smile Fresh Dental and they were able to do an xray free of charge because the other dentist he went to couldn’t send them over until 3 days and were able to remove his two top wisdom teeth out because they were infected and in a lot of pain!! I’m so glad they were able to help him!!

Fantastic experience: I called Smile Fresh thinking I would have to make an appointment months out in advance, but they got me in within a week of me calling. Everyone there was so kind and nice to talk to. Deb made sure nothing was bothering me too much and would take a break if needed while cleaning my teeth. It's such a welcoming environment and would recommend Smile Fresh to anyone looking for a new dentist office.

Negative experience: I’m updating this months after having work done by them that is still not right. I had 4 fillings done, which are flat, sharp and do not feel like a tooth. I also cannot get floss in between the two teeth that have fillings. I found a new dentist and the hygienist cannot even get floss in between them. When the dentist came in to take a look, he told me they never should have filled the one because the cavity was so large and now I need a crown and a new filling to fix it. They ask you to review them right in front of them to make it awkward and get a discount. Don’t believe these reviews as they are paid for by discounts in dental work. GO ELSEWHERE unless you want further issues.
