Negative experience: I have not heard back from your company since my February visit. First impressions are important, color me NOT impressed!!

Negative experience: This was my first time at this office, and it wasn’t the best experience; I had really high hopes, since I was referred by someone I know. I was asked to arrive 15 min early, so I did, however I had to wait 30 min past my scheduled appt time to be seen. I was referred to as “honey” my entire visit, which I did not like, it’s not very professional. I did not know the name of the woman that took me back to get x-rays, she did not introduce herself. I was there for a chipped tooth. I was asked by who I am assuming was the dental assistant why I was there, I explained, and without examining the tooth, she told me that it was “probably tartar that chipped off,” and that she would set me up for a cleaning. That was after she asked how long it had been since I had gotten a cleaning. I take very good care of my teeth, but accidents happen. I had to reiterate that it was in fact a chipped tooth, and that’s when she went to get the doctor, who confirmed it was what I knew it was and told me what they needed to do to fix it. Again, I am assuming this is the dental assistant, she told me that before getting a treatment plan for the chipped tooth I needed a cleaning to determine if I needed anything else done like a filling, which I suppose makes sense, but I was told the person that performs the cleanings is booked very far out, so they wrote my name on a sticky note, but didn’t actually schedule an appt. I would have appreciated some advice on how to care for the chipped tooth in the meantime, or told how long I can leave the tooth in the condition that it is in, but I wasn’t provided with any of that. I very much felt like I was rushed out as soon as I sat down in the exam chair. Maybe an hour after I had left, I attempt to call a couple of times to verify if they are in network with a specific insurance, I heard whoever pick up the phone and hang it right up. I understand being busy, but that is extremely unprofessional. I won’t be going back. Very affordable out of pocket cost for the exam though, that’s about the only good thing I took away from this visit.

Fantastic experience: Got all my options explained. Took care of checking with my medical provider about some questions. Had an appointment on Monday after a bridge fell out on a Saturday evening. Looking forward to get this completed. Would recommend this if you need one of the services. Very professional every one that I came in contact with.

Fantastic experience: They were the most professional and easiest to work with. I just needed a new set of dentures. The whole process was explained and very easy. I will be a customer for life.

Negative experience: Don't go to dds in Joplin off of 20th range line they used to be good but not anymore. They make a horrible product crazy expensive like 6000 and they don't stand behind it. I have asked to speak with the manager but here I still sit 30 minutes later they are more worried about collecting more money than the customer service. Since I received the dental work a year has passed and an implant came out which I was told never happens the teeth had a hole in them so thin you could see thru them and now a tooth has fallen out. Please save calls money and don't go here

Fantastic experience: IF YOU TREATED AND SERVICED EVERYONE , AS GOOD AS YOU DO ME ! YOU WOULD NEED AT LEAST SIX LOCATIONS IN JOPLIN, JUST TO HANDLE THE WORK LOAD. THANK YOU GOD BLESS

Fantastic experience: Update : I ended up getting instant dentures from them. I was very nervous but the staff is so nice they put me at ease. Dr Robinson was so efficient I didn't even realize he had extracted all my teeth. Made it quick and very little discomfort. Would recommend ! They did an amazing job with my fillings , can't even see them. Dentist was friendly as was the staff. Made me feel comfortable and were quick and efficient .

Negative experience: My first appointment was at 9 am to drop off my teeth my second appointment that day was at 3 i showed up at 230 they didnt call me in until 430 total bs i almost just left the teeth and went home very unprofessional

Fantastic experience: Both the Dental Assistant and the Doctor were friendly, informative and kind. When you have dealt with unsightly teeth for a time you learn to be embarrassed...they both were understanding and listened....and didn't run away screaming when I opened my mouth...the Assistant..who i am so so sorry I dont remember names ..was honest about my options in her perspective even before the Doctor came in. The Doctor was very honest about my options and also addressed some of my main concerns...he gave me hope. I have scheduled my procedure for a week from my consultation, I am that confident in the abilities of the Doctor. I will update this review after my procedure, but I would reccomend this Dental Clinic highly.

Negative experience: Broken tooth? In pain? Forget getting help here. They want to play games with "consultation" a week out and then make an appointment for extraction.

Fantastic experience: Definitely recommend! What really stood out was how much care and attention I received. I never felt rushed, and they answered all my questions with patience and honesty. I’ve finally found a dental office I can trust.

Negative experience: I wish I could give no stars because that's what these people deserve. I got my 1st set of dentures here 7 years ago when it was DDS. Had a wonderful experience and everything was great for many years. Then one day Im eating a burger and lose a tooth. Ok no problem things wear out. I got my monies worth. I call up what is now Affordable Dentures of Joplin because I had such an awesome experience the first time. I wish I had known what the next 6 months would bring because I would've ran away at warp speed. I initially inquired about repairing 1st set and they were willing to do so. We struck an agreement that the repair would be free and I would in turn purchase a new set as well. We figured once a tooth pops out its time to get a new set. So we embark on this journey. I got my new set and within the first 3 weeks I lose an upper tooth. I call, return to appt and they replace said tooth and send me home. I call back for an adjustment about 2 weeks later and the day after said adjustment I lose a bottom tooth. I call back. Im furious of course and set yet another appointment where I demand a new set to be made. I get new set and go home. Everything seems to be in working order, for a while anyways. About 5 weeks into new set Im sitting at home watching TV munching on trail mix and my bottom plate literally splits in half right down the middle. I call back and they act like Im the issue. Im bothering them. They made an appt for yesterday. Thankfully my husband said no we aren't going back there. He called the grove office instead. They got me in yesterday, attempted a repair on split set as they had to per policy, and when it broke on my way home had me come right back today and built me my 3rd brand-new set of dentures this year. At no time did they make me feel like I was wrong or inconvenient for them. They will say call Holly if you have a problem, save your breath and time. She's the biggest joke of them all. Just go to Grove Affordable Dentures. So much nicer and from all appearances better quality of work.

Negative experience: Affordable Dentures & Implants wanted to charge me $1500 for less of a deal than Midamerica in Mt Vernon is offering me for $325.‍

Fantastic experience: They was very fast and made sure I was comfortable and his assistant talked me through everything helped with my anxiety so much

Fantastic experience: Had my 2nd appointment and staff was very friendly, from front desk to hygienist, and also made sure my mouth was numb and even checked my blood pressure before working. My cleaning made my teeth look so much better and Hayley was amazing, if you ever get the chance to work with her you will see how awesome and the pride she takes in her work!!!!

Negative experience: The first appointment: I went in, they evaluated the situation, started me on antibiotics, and set a date. The quote was to the penny what I had saved over the last year. I was ready. The day of the procedure came. I had a lot of anxiety, but the staff assured me it would be quick and simple and I would have a beautiful smile. They started with molds, that frankly, we're incredibly painful and I was told that's just the way it is. I left, got lunch, picked up prescriptions, and returned to get started. I was given a light sedative to take orally. I was told to take it at 1300 and they would call me back around 1330. At 1313 they called me back and immediately started the procedure. This played out like something in my worst nightmare. Anxious, not fully numb, one person prying my jaw open, one person breaking my teeth off. The staff kept Telling me to open wider, stop moving, stop crying, this will be faster if you don't fight us. All while I cried out that they were hurting me, I wasn't numb, and I wasn't fighting. I was simply trying to find a way to swallow the pain and allow them to just finish. When the procedure was done they slapped a pair of horse teeth that came nowhere to fitting and sent me out the door. I was covered in blood, head pounding from crying, and by this point drunk from the sedative that didn't have time to kick in prior to the procedure. I bled for days. Any time I tried to remove the dentures blood poured from my mouth. The first 24 hours I left them exactly as they were placed. My boyfriend, my mom, and I all tried calling for the first 48 hours to asked what to do about the excessive bleeding. Day 3 I finally reached the front desk. I came in to be checked. The bleeding subsided but the real problem was the poorly fit dentures. A remake was made after the dentist saw how horrible the dentures were. I'm not convinced they had not given me someone else's dentures completely. The new dentures were better, though I cannot say they are great by any means. My first softliner appointment was very uncomfortable. I was prepared for it to be tender. I was not prepared for it to make my soul leave my body. The dentures are not, and have never been, the same shape as my gums. They were forced into position leaving my gums scraped and bleeding when I left. I suffered through a few weeks before asking if I could come in for an adjustment. The adjustment was due to large quantities of bone fragments protruding through my gums. My bottom dentures couldnt even be forced over the shards of bone. While there I pointed out the top dentures pressed so hard up into my lip that it was aggravating my septum. The assistant left to adjust, came back saying they were fixed but they were just as obnoxious as before. The dentist shaved down the bones sticking out of my gums. It's an awful procedure. He made it as pain free as possible. Returning for my second softliner appointment. I made several attempts at explaining my distaste with the dentures fit. After the softliner was applied she recognized something was off. She stated she would set me up for a bite test at my next appointment in September. I now have an underbite if I do not force my bottom jaw backwards in an unnatural, uncomfortable way. My top teeth come down very low in my mouth and tilt backwards towards my tongue. The top gums push hard against my nose. The bottom dentures...bad. I can't eat, drink, or speak clearly with the dentures in. One of my biggest concerns is not being able to close my mouth. The drying effect is devastating. 24 hours after the last softliner appointment I called to see if I could be seen. When I removed the top plate, after the softliner was installed, the skin on the roof of my mouth peeled off on the plate. The top gumline wore blisters in the top of my lip and ripped my frenulum in half. I was told they couldn't get me in to be seen for another month. This entire experience has been so disheartening. I worked so hard to be able to have this procedure done.

Fantastic experience: This is my second set of dentures my first set last me almost 8 years! Just received the second set and I love them they fit me well The service everybody there was so friendly and nice! You get your dentures back the same day you go in! I would suggest anybody to go here to get any kind of dental or dentures or even implants! They do an excellent job!

Negative experience: Didn't make it past check in so I can't share much. An hour wait was all I could afford to give from my schedule. They were too busy in the ofice for me to let them know I had to leave. Disappointed.

Negative experience: I went for a full dental replacement. They were super nice and helpful but after my teeth weren't straight. They redid them and it wasn't aligned right. Months went by without me complaining and I went on a fishing trip with my newly boyfriend and I tried his fried ravioli and my tooth fell out in front of him. I was mortified. This shouldn't happen so soon to anyone and it happened 2 times to me. I looked like a dand hillbilly and even after they fixed it, my alignment was still off, even to this day. Take your money and go anywhere else!

Fantastic experience: I am always treated with respect, kindness, great care from everyone from the front office, hygienists, to the Dentist. It's ran with a great leadership a team that really works together to help there patients.

But they made for sure they fit perfect and didn't hurt! They discussed every detail of every option and made sure I was making informed decisions! That is the difference here ...can't forget to mention I was referred by Mt mother .... if she loves them they gotta be the best!!!

Positive experience: Everything went well, until I received my hardliner, the pressure of one part of the denture caused a sore on my gums. I called for an adjustment of the denture, a five minute job, and was not able to get in for 3.5 weeks. Now what do I do if this delay causes an infection in my mouth.

Negative experience: They say they take Medicaid, but they don’t take all types of Medicaid. I set up my appointment, gave them my insurance info, got a babysitter, showed up for my appointment only to be turned away. A phone call so I don’t waste my money and an entire day would have been preferred.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and prices. Dr. Jonathan Callahan and assistant Lydia were spectacular. I had so little, however if it was being more painful, they would deadening me more. I cannot recommend these two professionals more. I've had a lot of dental work done through the years and always dread going. This was a great experience. This time all of my teeth were pulled, place two implants, and stitched the implants into place. Installed dentures, which were made in one day. My photo is next day following surgery. Minimal swelling, and the dentures look so natural.

Negative experience: I went there to have dentures repaired and Dr Robinson talked me into new dentures for 980.00.he told me they was would be done that day. I took the impressions and was told to come back at 1.An hour later they called me and said to come back in for more impressions which I did. I then came back at 1 o'clock and was informed that my dentures wouldn't be ready until 4 pm the next day. I was very upset because I live 100 miles away and had a Dr appointment the next day. So I waited 2 days to get my dentures and driving 200 extra miles. The dentures didn't fit right and flop around and my mouth is extremely sore I called to get an appointment a week in advanced. And was told there was nothing available. Due to the business I am in my next day off is July 5th. I explained this to the lady but it made no difference. I am back to wearing my old dentures after almost 1000.00 until July. My sister was going to go there to get new dentures and I told her to go anywhere but there.it is nothing like it was when it was dds

Negative experience: You guys claim to be affordable dentures and you try to send me a link to get financial aid and I told the lady I don't have a job so obviously I can't get dentures so you guys are very horrible
