Fantastic experience: My 5 children all go to Townsend dental and due to my own dental needs i decided to trust this office which with a fear like mine from past experiences says a lot. Dr.Darin made me feel at ease even as a grown woman tearing up from fear and panic. I’m hopeful for the near future work we are about to do so i can get back to normal, thanks again!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I both were seen at your office today. It was a first visit for both of us. We definitely were overdue for dental appointments. There's so much I could say, but honestly if I could put a million stars on here I would. Everything was perfect, start to finish. Fantastic experience: I’ve come to Townsend to begin using VA dental benefits, which can be a bit of a headache to initiate and understand on the VA’s side. Townsend’s staff has made it an incredibly easygoing process to understand and double check covered care, which is usually not the case when using any provider outside of a VA facility. I’ve had the same hygienist, Genesis, who has been a delight each time we work together. Overall, I’m incredibly happy to have switched over from another location and I’ll be recommending Townsend both generally and particularly for VA dental coverage friendliness.

Fantastic experience: Had a great first experience at Townsend Dental as a new patient. I switched from another dental office in Hinesville and I wish I would’ve switched sooner. Everyone from the girls at the front desk to the employees around me were super kind and accommodating. Giving my two young kids coloring pages, crayons and a movie to keep them happy. Mallory was my dental hygienist and she was incredibly sweet! Dr. Townsend was also really great and efficient. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

They have restored my faith in Dentist! Everyone there from front office to dental assistants were the sweetest and kindest staff and it wasn’t fake like some places I have been to it’s very genuine! Ms. Barbie and Dr. Townsend recognized my anxiety they were comforting in their tone explaining the recommended treatment plan and procedures. I cannot say that I am looking forward to the process but what I can say is that I feel safe knowing that I will receive great professional and skilled care❣️

Fantastic experience: This was my first time going here. All the staff were so polite and welcoming. I felt nervous going to a new place but soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with the nicest receptionist. The doctor took his time and explained step by step everything that was going on. The doctor also made sure that I understood everything.

Negative experience: This used to be the best dentist in SE GA. Ive been going here for over 10 years. Dr. Townsend Sr. Used to see every patient. He grew and starting seeing less and less patients. I would specifically request him and get someone else. I specifically said my 2nd to last tooth is bothering me. Random guy said he didnt see anything but he could drill and fill it and eventually get a root canal. He ended up performing this on my back tooth, a tooth that I had no issues with. When I brought this up the ladies at the desk kept recentering the conversation about scheduling my 2nd to last tooth (when that was the reason I was there in the first place). They still made me pay >$600 for them drilling the wrong tooth. What a catastrophic disaster this clinic has turned into.

Positive experience: My experience with Townsend Family Dental Center is most likely are rare one. I came in with an emergency appointment after being hit in the face with a metal bar. i was able to get an appointment within an hour of the incident. After trying to repair the tooth Dr. Smith made the decision to extract it. The surgery was well paced and completed with minimal pain. Townsend Family Dental Center even 3D printed a mouth guard for me to wear until my denture protect is made. With that said, the only negative I have with Townsend Family Dental Center is their time management. I understand that I was an emergency appointment, and they were busy, but I did sit ideal in the dental chair for about two thirds the total time I was there. Mind you I've only been here once!

She explained how the entire insurance process works so I understood why insurance is so beneficial even from the first day. If it wasn't for her help I would have not came back after my first visit. I went to his office very upset for a failed front tooth crown from a previous practice and he not only took me immediately but spent 3 hours brainstorming and implementing a procedure to remedy my situation. The end result….I walked out of his office with a brand new tooth and he made me feel like a million dollars. Totally went out of his way to help me. That is very very commendable and caring. Also his very diligent and professional assistant Barbie made me feel so at ease and comfortable knowing she had me in complete support and took care of me in the most caring way. Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved the dynamic between Heather and Dr. Patel. I was there for very long (on purpose) while they fixed several old fillings and made me a PERFECT crown. Something that should have been a real pain or time consuming was so extremely pleasant that I hope I need more crowns in the future… I know, crazy- but true!

Fantastic experience: What I am about to tell you is the truth. I am retired from the Army, and the VA sent me to Townsend Family Dentist. Today, I had an appointment at 0730 for a permanent crown replacement. Dr. Darian took really good care of me. Here, the fascinating part, Dr Darian numb my mouth around 0745, and by 0800, he started prepping my tooth for the crown. An we all know how tedious that process is. Guys, by 1030, Dr Darian had finished prepping my tooth for the crown , and I left the office with my permanent crown. Yes, you heard me right. Dr Townsend has invested in his very own machine that creates same day crowns. I was very impressed because getting a crown normally takes some time. Well, not at Dr Townsend. Everything is done at the office the same day. An Ana does a great job maling the crown. No more waiting 3-4 weeks for the permanent crown. Again, my appointment was at 0730, and I was done at 1030. Make your appointment today if you need a crown. Go see Dr. Darian he is a professional. He is young, kind, and determined to get the job done for you. Dr. Darian, thank you. My crown feels amazing!!!

Fantastic experience: I lost my long time Dentist, so I did research to find me another Dentist. Well I found Townsend I don't go by what other people say ,I go by what I experience . And I was very impressed with the young lady that cleaned my teeth . I will be going back again.

Negative experience: I had a good experience at first. Then I got a younger doctor. She wasn’t who I saw at first. Then she proceeded to talk down to me. I have a fear of choking and I let them know that. With the guard in my mouth it felt like I had saliva in the back of my throat and felt like I was going to drown. She got frustrated with me. After the filling two days later I was having pain when eating anything. So I talked to the doctor to let her know. She tried fixing the bite but even touching the filing hurt but she didn’t seem to believe me and went at the filling with no numbing. It was literal torture. When I told her there was extreme pain she hit it with numbing but I think it was novocaine which I’m highly tolerant of. It numbs the outside skin but no nerves. So I was still having pain. As I’m still screaming in pain she’s telling me I needed to calm down. I told her I couldn’t do any more. I still have pain when eating I can’t eat on that side of my mouth anymore. I do not recommend this place if it still has that doctor.

Fantastic experience: They are the best in all of Hinesville. I went to four dentists in the area, and I didn’t like any of them as much as I liked this one. I’ll stay with them forever. If you’re Latino or Hispanic, they have staff who speak Spanish and help with translation. They are very kind, responsible, and professional. They also treat children and are excellent with them.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Townsend dental for about 6 years now and have always had a pleasant experience with every staff member. I recently had to have a filling replaced and a crown put on a previous root canal that was done many years ago. All the work was done by Dr. Smith and I have to say she is quick, very thorough and knows exactly what she's doing. I really love the staff at this dentist office they have been nothing but kind and patient with myself and my children.

I called yesterday and was able to get an appointment today, and they were able to do my x-rays, exam, and cleaning all in one visit! The staff and service there is excellent! The dental hygienist, Genesis, did an amazing job cleaning my teeth, and I didn't experience any pain at all! This was my first post last year in May 2024. I always have a pleasant experience when I go to Townsend Dental Center, and I can never tell with Dr. Townsend who's the son and who's the dad, but I always have a great visit!

Fantastic experience: I went in for my initial appointment which was scheduled for X-ray and cleaning. At completion of my cleaning I asked the doctor if he could take care of my minor issue. It was basically lunchtime and he said you know what I will forgo lunch to get this knocked out for you instead of you having to come back. He went the extra mile for me when he didn’t have to.

Fantastic experience: Had a Hygiene appointment and a consultation for Invisalign. The team was extremely accommodating and friendly. My hygienist Lahome was the gentlest cleaning I have ever experienced. I have literally walked out of cleaning appointments at other dental offices with my mouth sore and bleeding (I won't say any names :). So thankful for this office.

Fantastic experience: This office is amazing. I have pretty bad anxiety when it comes to going to a dentist office. Especially knowing I'll have to get work done. We move around quite a bit due to military and this is probably one of the best offices I've been to. They are so sweet, reassuring and really do seem to care about you as a patient. Anxiety can be embarrassing and they make me feel less anxious, calm and talk through you through everything. When we move again, I wish I could take the whole staff with me
