Fantastic experience: My recent experience at Tampa Smile Co. was fantastic. Dr. Gray and his assistant gave me Invisalign and were very helpful throughout the process, detailing exactly what would happen and explaining every step of the process in great detail. Dr. Gray is kind, personable, and I felt as if he cared about my teeth as if they were his. Would highly recommend Dr. Gray and this facility to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here for a few years now and every visit has been a great experience. Dr. Gray is super friendly and always takes the time to explain everything about my treatment in a way that makes sense. The staff is just as great, always welcoming and easy to talk to, and the cleanings are always really thorough.

Negative experience: This is the first bad review I have ever left online in my life - it was that bad of experience. Dr.Grey was the primary dentist & Yolanda was his dental assistant. Yolanda was kind and patient, I appreciated her bedside manner. Dr. Grey on the other hand walks in, says my dental X-rays are perfect and that I have no evidence of cavities. He then proceeds to talk 15 minutes about my need for Invisalign. He then looks at my teeth for about 3 minutes, stating my back tooth needing a crown and was decaying. He then walks out of the room without addressing any concerns or questions I may have. I then get an instant quote for thousands of dollars. Mind you I have had no tooth pain or any other sign of any decaying. I fly back to my hometown and go to my family dentist, he states there is no evidence of even a cavity. I get one more opinion from another dentist….not even a cavity. I call and tell them to cancel all future appointments I had. Weeks later I get an email that I “missed” my scheduled appointment. Everything seemed like a money grab to me and very untrustworthy atmosphere, which is so sad because this isn’t a minor purchase, this is your health. I would hate for anybody to experience something similar and actually go through without without a second opinion.

Fantastic experience: My first visit at this dental office! Its very clean, professional and everyone was very friendly!

Negative experience: I first gave them a 5 star. Then recently I broke a filling instead of going into the tooth and deciding if I needed a root canal or not. Dr. Grey recommend a root canal that was going to ultimately cost me 1700 dollars with the crown. However, when I went to a different dentist she fixed my tooth without a root canal, this office also saw a decay in another tooth. Decided to ignore it to ultimately make it a root canal to make more money off of me. I am very disappointed in the dishonesty . Also the same dentist I went to told me whoever did my cleaning AT THIS OFFICR did not do a very good job. I will not write about the Treatment PLANS REGARDING YOUR CLEANING AND HOW IF YOUR GUMS BLEED THEY WOULD RECOMMEND CRAZY THINGS. All I am going to say is they are money hungry please stay away from them. You will thank me later. Ohh I fixed BOTH TEETH FOR 150.

Negative experience: Seems like they recommended a procedure I didn’t need. Now my insurance denied the claim and I have to come out of pocket even more. Guess it’s a business at the end of the day.

Fantastic experience: Very comfortable atmosphere. I did not feel hassled or pressured into my dental plan. Yolanda the dental assistant was very attentive of my trouble tooth during my X-rays and exam. Dr. Bawany was very thorough and explained everything in layman’s terms. He explained my treatment plan very well and left no room for questions. I will definitely be continuing my care with you all.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Grey at Tampa Smile was exceptionally friendly and highly informative. I visited three other dentists before him, all of whom took identical X-rays and scans of my teeth. The key difference with Dr. Grey was his detailed explanation of the results, clearly outlining the reasons behind each finding, which made the pricing transparent and reasonable. I unfortunately have to get a lot of dental work done and they have made the process nothing short of easy and painless. The staff is very kind, accommodating, on-time and Dr. Gray makes the process comfortable and painless. I have never experienced a numbing process as painless as I have with him! I can’t recommend this place enough. This is the best practice I have ever gotten dental work done at and I can say it will be the only place I will be going from here on out! Latoya the dental assistant is incredibly skilled she was equally wonderful-she was gentle and attentive, ensuring I was comfortable during the procedure.; They work seamlessly as a team, ensuring that every procedure is done with precision. I always leave feeling well taken care of. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I went in to get my wisdom tooth pulled due to a cavity reaching my nerve and I was seen by Yolanda and Dr Bawany. They were absolutely fantastic, walked me through every step of the way. Extraction was very quick and easy and they knew exactly what they were doing. The both of them were great, super kind and true professionals!

Fantastic experience: Got a cleaning here last week and could not recommend this place enough! Front desk was super nice, I didn't wait long at all until someone brought me back! Dr. Gray came in before and after my cleaning, he was super thorough and communicative! (also really great to look at) Definitely will be back for all dental needs!! go see Dr. Gray!!!!

Negative experience: I went to Dr. Gray for a standard root canal and disclosed that I have TMJ. During the procedure, I was numbed so thoroughly that I couldn’t feel my jaw slipping out of socket — and unfortunately, neither Dr. Gray nor his team noticed. I left the office with a dislocated jaw, which became painfully obvious once the numbing wore off. I ended up in the ER to have it manually put back into place. When I returned for the crown placement, I explained what had happened and was told the office wouldn’t cover any part of the ER bill because, as Dr. Gray put it, “they can’t very well work on a root canal without my mouth being open, so it’s an assumed risk.” That response, combined with his lack of awareness and poor bedside manner, was incredibly frustrating. Despite knowing I had TMJ, he repeatedly asked if I could “just open a little bit wider,” rather than adjusting his technique or approach. If a dentist isn’t comfortable working in tight or limited spaces, especially with patients who have known jaw issues, they might not be in the right field. I hope this review encourages more consideration and caution for others with similar conditions.

Fantastic experience: Tampa Smile Co is an exceptional practice. The technology they use is state of the art. The layout of the office is comfortable and relaxed. I cannot give enough positive feedback about the staff and dentist, Dr. Bawany. Every single staff member was involved and my daughter and I were treated with great respect and exceptional care. The staff were very professional, knowledgeable, thorough, and comforting. Yolanda, was beyond gentle, I could not imagine anyone else caring for my young adult daughter. She completed the X-Rays with precision and explained every step of the way. Thank you for your patience, Yolanda! Jonathan provided care throughout the visit. As a Care Coordinator he offered everything from basic patient needs to careful explanations of the service and financial details, all while being personable, professional and sincere. Amy was wonderful in reviewing all of the financials and carefully planning follow up patient visits. Everyone was sincere and remarkable in their roles! Dr. Bawany, is an amazing Dentist. He thoroughly explained the details of the process, his insights, and next steps. He truly brings the patient (and their moms!) into the entire visit and respects the patients decision making. My daughter and I now feel as those we have a whole care team who will continue to keep us aware of our options and provide guidance on how to maintain good oral hygiene. There was zero pressure, the entire visit was transparent and the information was easy to understand. We have never been to a dental practice that left us with a pleasant feeling-we look forward to continuing care within their very capable hands. I highly recommend!

Negative experience: -First visit a couple weeks ago and I would not recommend. -The provider that I saw came off a little more arrogant that what I had anticipated. I got the feeling that I was being spoken to as if I should know these dental terms. -On my new patient paperwork, I put that I have an amoxicillin allergy. I told the triage nurse about my allergy. The provider gave me a prescription, and that same triage nurse asked me if I told the doctor about my allergy. Well, no I didn't, since I put it on my paperwork, and verbally told you 15 minutes before the provider saw me. So that was very alarming and concerning to my health. -Due to these serious concerns, I decided that it was best for my health to cancel my appointment. My appointment was at 3pm on Tuesday, I called first thing Monday morning to cancel. The woman I spoke to said she would take my name down, and give it to the front desk to cancel. -Yesterday, my scheduled appointment. I get a text that they will see me. Weird, since I cancelled it the day before. I immediately call to see what is happening. The young lady who answered cut me off in the middle of explaining what was going on. She informed me that my appointment was never cancelled. I work in healthcare and that is very unprofessional and sets someone up to owe a cancellation fee. -This morning I get an email stating that I "missed" my appointment. I am not sure if it was ever cancelled. Best believe, if I get a bill for a no show, it will NOT get paid and I will fight it. -The disorganization, lack of communication, lack of notating life threatening allergies to medicine, arrogance of the provider is more than enough for me to not go back.

Fantastic experience: I’m visiting this area and I needed treatment immediately for an emergency. The dentist and staff got me an appointment right away and I needed more procedures than originally expected and everything was taken care of on the spot. I had to wait a tiny bit in a very comfortable room so that the staff could be free to do the procedure I was super pleased with the treatment I received.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dr. Bentivegna and her incredible assistant Olga enough! From the moment we walked into the office, we felt welcomed and at ease. My mom needed major dental work to be performed urgently and right before holidays, and Dr. Bentivegna was able to acommodate us and develop the treatment plan that worked for our schedule. Dr. Bentivegna is not only highly skilled but also has an amazing ability to explain procedures i the way that's easy to understand. Her assistant, Olga, is wonderful - kind, attentive, and extremely helpful, especially since my mom does not speak English, so Olga was translating for her when I was not available. Together they make an exceptional team that goes above and beyond to ensure positive experience!

Negative experience: Good luck trying to get ahold of them. They keep sending me a balance reminder email but no can seem to answer my call to tell me what I owe for. I have called like 5 times, have been told I am getting called back multiple times and nothing. Really sketchy stuff here, I would not recommend if you want a good reliable dentist.

I was greeted by Ivan, he was helpful in checking me in and out. He was attentive to me and gentle with the scans and X-rays. And I had a great experience with Dr. Gray he was very friendly and detailed in his analysis. Looking forward to coming back!

Fantastic experience: Great visit! I had a new patient exam, which didn’t include a cleaning like I expected. But there’s was a cancellation and I was able to have the exam and cleaning. Everyone was nice and gentle. Will return!

Negative experience: I didn’t experience any sensitivity issues until I visited dentist here. A young female dentist performed fillings on my cavities. During my second appointment, I had to ask her to adjust the fillings because they felt too tall, and I had to come back again for the same reason. During my last visit, she filed down my fillings like ten times, I had to keep telling her to keep doing and I usually visit dentist every year in another country and never had to ask anyone to file down my fillings because they were always done properly. A couple of weeks later, I still can’t drink hot or cold liquids because it hurts, I can't bite into hard foods, and flossing causes me pain. I will not be returning and am currently looking for a new dentist to correct the mistakes of the dentist at this place. Also I see a lot of people saying they lie to your face about having cavities and they told me I have 10 which never happened before but I am prone to cavities so I just blindly believed them. I wish I went to a different place.
