Fantastic experience: The wait was long due to a surgery running behind but they updated me frequently. Yasmin at the front desk was very nice and helpful, Dr. Arnette was very informative and made sure we didn’t have any questions regarding surgery.

Negative experience: Went here twice; once for the initial checkup/cleaning and once to get a filling. When I went to get said filling, the dentist hurt me by giving me shots in my mouth without warning me first. I told him off for it, which was word for word “You should’ve warned me before you did that. Please tell me if you’re going to do something like that again…”. I didn’t yell or fuss, I just told him flatly. I pushed that bad experience to the side and scheduled my next appointment. Today I got a call from the receptionist and told me my appointment FOR TOMORROW has been canceled due to the dentist being “uncomfortable seeing me” and that “he said to find another dentist”. That is completely unprofessional and just plain sorry. If you can’t take a patient telling you that you’ve hurt them, you need to RUN away from the medical field. This review is for the dentist himself (don’t remember his name, but he’s of Asian descent). The office ladies were nice enough. If this place gets a new dentist then this review is moot.

Fantastic experience: The front staff were very friendly and welcoming!! Even though the waiting room was full, I was seen at my scheduled time. That makes a huge difference versus having to wait forever. Both the dental assistant and the surgeon were very thorough. It really put my mind to ease about having the procedure. If you're looking for a dentist in the area, I would recommend them. They even have a plan for those that currently do not have dental insurance. I actually found them through my, United Healthcare dental policy online account, as they are "in network" as of the time of this review!!

Fantastic experience: Today I came in for a cleaning and a check up since I came here for a 2023 emergency visit. Brenda took care of me, and did my cleaning and was absolutely amazing. She is such a sweetheart and made me feel extremely comfortable the entire time. She is 10/10 amazing.

Negative experience: I was told I'd no longer be able to take my stepson or myself to this office (Mt. Olive) because I couldn't afford the co-payment much less the gas to come to our appointment. They wouldn't even allow me to reschedule for after I get paid. It's hard enough being poor, but when someone throws it back in my face... It's not right. Their policy sucks and so do the 2 employees I spoke to. I hope they never have to go without. Then again, maybe they should so they'll have some compassion and understanding!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: My 85 year old mother was treated as if she was a family member. The dentist, Dr. Michael Arnette, took time from his busy schedule to ensure that his patient returned to her vehicle safely. Everyone is so helpful and very friendly. If I didn’t have a dentist, I would drive an hour to see him.

Negative experience: Surgeon was rude don't give a crap. I would avoid this place . Very prideful even tho I made a mistake I didn't deserve this at all I just had a baby I'm breastfeeding couldn't even reschedule.

Negative experience: Came here to get a cavity filled. Within a week it was falling apart, I was able the retain some of the bits to show them. Enough of the filling fell out that my tooth was getting super sensitive. Called and they set me up a return visit. Left me sitting in the room for over an hour before dentist came in. Looked around and said it was just a rough spot that needed smoothing. Told him I had some of the fragments and was ignored. He left the room and began working on other patients. Did not let him 'smooth out' his mistake. They did not stand behind their work. Did not try to make it right and tried to make me believe it was just a rough spot when I knew it was bad dental work. I believe that's called gaslighting.

Negative experience: The hygienists are great, but any experience that is positive with the hygienists is ruined by the experience you have with the dentist. I went back in July (2024) and waited 45 minutes after the cleaning for the dentist to come by and spend less than one minute with me. My family wanted to give them a second chance, so my wife went this week (November 2024) and spent one hour after her cleaning waiting for the dentist to come and finish the exam. After almost 45 minutes, the hygienist came back and apologized for the long wait. Finally, after an hour, the dentist came by and spent one minute and ten seconds with her. The hygienists are great, but there is a ton of room for improvement in how the dentist on staff cares for his patients.

They have switched our hygienists twice which upset my daughter as Sarah has always been hers and she was very comfortable with her, but Kim was great with her too! EDIT: We ended up leaving. So much disorganization. Every time we go it's a new dentist that we've never met. Half the the time they'd recommend a filling but when I came to get it, it'd be a different dentist who would say they didn't know why the other dentist said I needed one because I didn't. My new dentist has to correct several fillings because they were done sloppily and allowed bacteria to get inside them which is the whole point of fillings in the first place!

Fantastic experience: Lane & Associates Family Dentistry I would definitely recommend to family and friends the staffs are very friendly, they did a very great job taking my wisdom teeth out. I asked one of the staffs there how long it would take she told me 90 minutes and finished on time and they are every fast.

Fantastic experience: We had the BEST experience today with Lane and Associates that began in Erwin with an excellent oral evaluation for a root canal, an honest assessment (that DDS was not comfortable with doing the procedure) and a referral to Dr. Yizu Jiao, in Mount Olive. They got my friend worked in immediately (a 19 year old young man) and treated him patiently, and respectfully, all the way up till they closed. The root canal was extensive. All of the staff was very kind and professional. I would highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: 4/10/24 Ive had almost every procedure and ive been on both sides of the dentist so ive met almost everybody and ive had the best customer service ever!! Today i was serviced by Ms.Cindy (even though i just met her she’s one of the best) Dr.purks (even better) the most 2 genuine fast paced ladies they provided me with the best care and answered all of my crazy questions. I always recommend this dentist i wish i could broadcast it!! Thanks to the ladies who serviced me today i cant wait to see you all again.. Now all of a sudden the dentist is my favorite place!! Fantastic experience: Today was my first visit, and definitely not my last. Dr. Purks, and her assistant (I forgot her name, I'm sorry ). As old as I am , I've always had a fear of needles plus previous bad experiences at my (was) dentist. I'm not sure what kind of numbing agent they use, but it only took one time. I didn't even feel the initial pinch I usually feel. My blood pressure was kind of high, I(due to fear). I relaxed myself, took some deep breaths, and boom it was normal. She took that tooth out so fast i didn't realize she was done until she said something 5 minutes max if that long to pull a wisdom tooth !!! Y'ALL BETTER GET YOU A LANE DENISTRY MT.OLIVE !!!I said all of this to say, the entire office staff that I came in contact with was very nice. I have found my new dental home, no matter how far, I will be there. Shout out to Dr. Purks Theresa S.

I have been to a few of the offices of Dr Lane and Associates. The staff in their Mt Olive office were the best by far. Mrs.Pat, Paula, Kaitlyn and Dr Arnette are terrific and I will definitely recommend them to my friends.

Fantastic experience: I was seen at this office yesterday. The last dentist I went to left me terrified to go to anyone again. I was a patient here several years ago and had a great experience every visit. I only left because of the distance I was driving. Now I am in need of some extensive work, this office was the first I thought of. Needless to say I was very nervous, but when I stepped in the door I received the warmest hello from the young lady at the front desk. That was very soothing to the nerves. Five minutes after checking in I was called to the back by a lady and she introduced herself as Brenda my dental hygienist for the visit. It only took a few minutes of being in her presence for me to really start to relax. Brenda was extremely attentive, she made sure I was comfortable with everything she did to me. She made me feel so special from the time I met her until she said goodbye after walking me to the checkout area to schedule my next appointment. It was a great experience, which I needed badly. I highly recommend this dental team to everyone, especially if you are the least bit afraid or nervous at the thought of visiting a dentist.

Negative experience: The receptionist was very rude and did not "have time" to explain to me the process of how the surgeons schedule works. I was calling in regards to concerns with co pay because I had a family emergency happen over the weekend and the receptionist explained to me that the surgeon was strict on cancelations because he's very busy. Which I understand. She did not want to hear about the fact that I'm busy myself constantly because I'm a business owner and that's something that would be very possible for me. Apparently, because I have a life the surgeon is unwilling to work with me because he's "strict" on cancelations. Absolutely absurd the way she chose to spoke to me. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Don't join a professional field that requires professionalism and understanding if you lack the capacity for it. I'm not saying they're a bad dentist's office, but their lack of respect for their clients is very apparent for a receptionist at that to speak so arrogantly to someone.
