Negative experience: my sister has been coming her the have been changing her for the last year and have not done anything about her tooth that was bothering her she has to pull it out herself now she has another tooth that has been bothering her and came back because the have been charging her is no work done so we are here today and i came with her to help her make some changes i told the front desk worker that there was things we had to speak about she she pushed it off and told us to have a set 10/10 don't recommend this place rude and not friendly and they are taking her money without doing anything work on her

Negative experience: Somos in Mesa treated me like a pariah when I called to get my tooth glued back on. Shuffling me to o5 different people only to tell me that I would have to go to the camelback and 67th ave location to get it glued back on again because they would not help me after the last dentist glued it on leaving it 1/8 of an inch longer than the other tooth. Do not go there unless you like being treated like a piece of dirt.

If I have to give them constructive criticism would be to not talk so fast and speak in layman's terms especially for those that are not medically trained. That way you all don't have to repeat yourself. I like that the entire staff is bilingual.

Negative experience: I had a really bad experience at this dentist i went in their website to look at prices because i needed my wisdom teeth removed on the website it says $250 per teeth when i went they wanted to charge me $750 also on the website it says 60 for basic cleaning and the wanted to charge $450 i was mad because they promote prices on their website and when u go is a a different price this place is a scam....

Negative experience: Update: Apparently, as far as the sedation goes, they were unter the impression that I had come in alone (I was there with my mother) so they didn't want to risk me having to drive myself out. The "surgical" aspect of the procedure was not the sedation itself, just a method for extracting an impacted wisdom tooth. They called me earlier this morning to try and make things right, and have sent proper medication to my pharmacy. This does not erase what I went through yesterday, but I am grateful that the people at Sosmos were committed to rectifying this situation. Original Review: I went in for an appointment because of an extremely painful impacted wisdom tooth, and was told that I'd need to make an appointment at another location for the extraction, as it had to be surgically removed (the surgical procedure costing 100 more than the advertised extraction price). I was assured that I would be sedated and properly numbed. I was concerned that my tooth may be infected, but was told it was simply pain from the tooth trying to grow, and was given ibuprofen to manage it. A few days later, the pain was excruciating. I would wake up multiple times in a night, having to hold an ice pack to my face to try and sleep. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen combined only reduced my pain for an hour with the maximum dosage. I had made an appointment with an oral surgeon, and went in holding my cheek and praying for it all to be over. I told the nurse that the ibuprofen I'd been taking hardly did anything for my pain. I was given a numbing gel to apply to the swollen gums around my wisdom tooth. When my doctor saw the area around my tooth, he took note of the fact that it was indeed infected, and I was given four shots in the back of my mouth. Unfortunately, the pain of the infection seeped through the numbing medicine. I was told to raise my hand if I felt pain while the doctor worked. I was waving my hand like a maniac and groaning as the doctor steamrolled through the extraction. While I'm grateful it was over quick, the experience has affected my trust in dentists. I was NOT sedated, as I had been assured. And afterwards, I was given a perscription for--can you guess? IBUPROFEN to manage the pain alongside an antibiotic for the infection. After the shots wore off in the parking lot, I had to rush to the ER and wait for five hours because of the excruciating pain I was in. I was sobbing, pacing, and drooling in the waiting room. Finally, they were able to help me manage the pain with numbing gel and a percocet to get me through the night. Through the ER, I was prescribed a lidocaine numbing gel and a pain medication that actually works. The experience I had at Sosmos was downright mideval.

Negative experience: This place is the worst. I have been there once, and I don't feel comfortable with anyone there. They never really washed their hands, and when they dropped something, they just picked it up and used it again. All the rooms were taken and We had to wait in the lobby and there were more and more people coming in. Also, they never clean up after themselves!!!!

Negative experience: Very bad experience with Somos Dental & Orthodontics. I signed up as a new patient online for an appointment to get my teeth cleaned. Right away they sent a text about my appointment day and time. They also sent an email requesting that I confirm my appointment, WHICH I DID!!!! None of the texts they sent asked for me to confirm. Then an hour before my appointment they cancel my appointment because they did not get a confirmation from me!!!! Let me repeat what I just said. I confirmed through an email message, which they asked me to do. They did not ask for confirmation through any text message. This dentist outfit has very bad customer service. Bad, Bad, Bad.....As you can tell, I am very upset.

Negative experience: I was treated very well my first visit and after i gave them over $1200 in cash. After that i was treated very badly by the front office staff. The ones who answer on Saturday are the worst. I was just in for a cleaning. They already knew my tooth history and made no effort to get pricing before I arrived. They told me a tooth that only needed a filling before suddenly needed a crown because it was to the nerve. No concern about the tooth that is broken in the back of my mouth only the more expensive dental procedure. When I decided to only go with the extraction they made me sit in the waiting area for 30 minutes to be told an extraction would be $90. I had to reschedule and she tells me I need to have the cash when I arrive next week. All they are worried about is the high dollar things they can get you to do. This was the worst visit I have had. I will not return to this office. The manager is who I spoke to. She needs to find a new profession because if you aren’t the right color she just dismisses you.

Negative experience: By far the worst experience I’ve had at a dentist office. Especially after paying cash upfront instead of payments for better and faster services when it came up to my son’s braces. I was never called for a follow up or to explain that my son no longer will be provided any other work done unless I payed an additional 2900 if I didn’t make an appointment before a specific range of time. Also I requested a manger and I was denied the assistance taking me for a fool saying she was in vacation when another manager by law needs to cover the other one. I will be looking in to this as it was a lot of money I’ve already paid for to now be asked for the same amount in order to continue with the process for my sons braces. This feels like a scam now and definitely stealing from hardworking people. The staff is really bad experienced, they don’t know how to make sure if what they’re saying is even accurate they seemed all confused and didn’t get help.

Fantastic experience: Went in with my daughter to see about getting her some braces. Appointment was taken on time at 9am although we had to wait for the orthodontist to arrive at 10am he came into the room EXACTLY at 10am. The staff conducted X-rays and cleaning while we waited for the orthodontist to arrive so we wouldn't just be sitting around. My daughter got her braces the same day. Staff was very polite and their payment plans make paying for her braces painless. Of course my daughter is experiencing the normal pains of new braces but nothing a little acetaminophen and ibuprofen can't handle. I've already recommended them to a friend who's daughter also needs braces.

Positive experience: Very bad customer service. Not very happy with the way I get treated here. They don’t greet you, they don’t make en effort to make you feel welcomed. They do talk amongst themselves, and completely ignore the customer. The dr. doesn’t even say hi to you when he sits to work on my braces. As someone who gets anxiety, when it comes to any dental procedure it would be nice to have someone explain to me what’s going on, or what they are going to do, instead of me having to ask them. It’s like they are working on mannequin’s instead of actual people. They get three stars because the place is well kept. Looks and smells clean.

Negative experience: Beware they will treat you very nice as a new patient, to get your money. After that they are a nightmare to work with. You can't reschedule because they don't answer the phone, they don't call you back when you leave a message. Now they are using a membership fee so they can charge you in case you need to reschedule and use the excuse that you didnt call and let them know. You have to get in your car and drive down there to make a appt or reschedule. Your better off going to another dentist! Turning this place into the BBB so they don't screw over other people.

Somos Dental by far has been the best Dental experience of my life and I know, (been goin last couple years) and could not be more pleased. I am one of those who have high sensitivity every visit yet somehow, they make me feel at ease and cater to my needs without ever making me feel guilty or shaming me! Nice staff, feels warm and like you're at home! They all maintain a professional disposition while also making it fun! Shout out to Raiinene, hope I'm spelling that right and most of all to Marlin who has made it her mission each visit to be sure she's got me . BTW, To her son whom I had today, he took off my braces, (Thank you,) you did so well and have that magical touch like your mama making me feel comfortable through the whole process) I will recommend Somos again and again!!!!

Positive experience: The services are great, the prices are really good and the people are really, nice, knowledgeable and professional. The negative is that we are ALWAYS called back at least 15 minutes AFTER our appointment time, sometimes even 30 minutes. Also, at the last appointment my minor daughter's appointment info was pulled up on a screen in front of another patient - not on the screen in front of my daughter.

Fantastic experience: I just had my wisdom teeth removed at this location today and it was a perfect experience for having gone through the extraction without sedation, by choice. Dr Hendricks was fast, kind and did incredible work! I felt very little and was in and out within an hour. I will be going back, no question. Everything was very affordable!

Negative experience: The dentist was fine, but I went here for an emergency root canal because they advertised $599 cash pay price. However, it was double. They even tried to charge me an additional $1000 for something my regular dentist charges way less for. False advertising and high pressure sales, and if I wasn’t in pain I would have left. What a scam.

Negative experience: I have been trying to call them for the past month and they don’t answer my tooth filling hurts and I signed up with them to make payments every month which I want to cancel since I no longer want to come here and get the rest of my tooth done here. This is Littertally insane. So unprofessional. And the wait is insane I waited 4 hrs to be seen.

Fantastic experience: I came in as my front tooth that chipped. Raiane was able to get me in right away. Dr. Hendricks was very kind, examine my tooth and was able to get it fixed within minutes!! Highly recommend!!!!! Thank you Raiane and Dr. Hendricks! Will be back for my regular exams, cleanings and all future work.

Fantastic experience: They got me in very quick as a new patient. They were professional, friendly, and were not judgemental at all. I very much recommend this place :)

Negative experience: Don’t come here, waited for over an hour and the cleaning took around 12 minutes. Paid $60 for them to just brush my teeth, did not tell me about the health of my overall teeth. The workers were also filming videos for social media and constantly walking in and out of clinic making a ruckus. It felt like they were just rushing you in and out as fast as they could. Never had a bad experience at the dentist until now.

Negative experience: They started off good and everything but after I got my braces off, I would call them to ask a question and when given the option to press 1 if i was a new costumer or press 2 if I was an existing costumer, I would press 2 but no one would ever answer. Right now I just called and pressed number one and they picked up right away, I asked if I can get back my retainer money and they immediately hung up without letting me explain my situation so I'll do it here. I got my first pair of retainers that somos dental made and I didn't like them. They were hard to talk in, extremely uncomfortable and they didnt fit. they were temporary until the professional retainers came and I loved those bc they were very comfortable and easy to talk in. Then those broke after I accidentally stepped on them(lol it was a mistake) so I went back and paid $300 for a new pair and they mentioned that they are no longer with the company that makes them professionally and then asked me to bring in a teeth model that they gave me with the retainers. I was to shy to say it then but I didn't want the retainers that were hand made. So I just called today after a few months of me procrastinating it and they just hung up. If they see this, I want my money back and the name of the other retainer company so I can pay them to make me retainers.
