Fantastic experience: Recently moved, tried this dentist. Dr. Bald is great, caring, attentive, with great patient support. Tricia was the hygienist and I had one of the best experiences in 70 years. Friendly, caring, gentle and thorough was just a great experience. Staff is very friendly and supportive. Highly recommend Riccobene, from a 79 year with years of experience.

Negative experience: For 8 months I have been harassed by endless bills and even sent to collections because this office can’t process insurance. First they assigned me a dentist who wasn’t credentialed with my insurance. Insurance claim is for a non preferred provider because the office failed to assign me a credentialed dentist. Now the office can’t figure out how to unscrew their own mistake so they sent my bill to collections. They’ve lost an insurance check given to them months ago. The office keeps giving me the same excuse that it’s being taken care of, same story for 8 months. Still now a year after my visit and giving them a second insurance check, because they let the last one lapse, they still send me to collections, send me emails and texts for overdue bills. I call the office and I am told there is some kind of delay and to just continuously ignore their harassment. If you’re a veteran and use FEP, stay away from here.

Fantastic experience: My experience with Riccobene Dentistry continues to be exceptional. My most recent visit for implant post placement was in all aspects routine and uneventful (which is a very good outcome). Jessica, the dental assistant, provided exceptional care during the procedure. The staff are always caring and make you feel appreciated as a patient. Dr Madsen’s procedure went swift and flawlessly, I have had no bleeding and only taken one pill (Ibuprofen ) as the anesthetic wore off. Two days post surgery if the post wasn’t there I wouldn’t know I had anything done. Highly recommend Dr. Madsen and his team.

Fantastic experience: I am 65 years old, I have been seeing a dentist twice a year since I was a young boy, so long story short, I have some dental experience! My hygienist Ashley is fantastic, she is always deliberate and precise. I am really happy with my dental care.

Had to have a tooth extracted and he worked me in quickly and went to great lengths to ensure my comfort and pain free experience. Dr. Madsen has a very calming personality and I cannot express how that helped calm me down too. Thank you Dr. Madsen!

Fantastic experience: My visit to Riccobene Monkey Junction was a standard six-month appointment. Beth, the Dental Hygienist, was professional, knowledgeable and very patient-oriented. She cleaned my teeth, took the X-rays, answered my questions and set my next appointment, all in about an hour. Then Dr. Madsen reviewed the results and offered some options for an emerging wisdom tooth issue. I look forward to seeing them again six months from now, or earlier if necessary.

Negative experience: These people refuse to prescribe me Percocet for pain, even though I am highly allergic to everything else. They tried to tell me there was some interaction and I have never had an interaction with Percocet. Otherwise I would not take it for as long as I have been prescribed this medication. I felt like I was treated like some cheap drug addict. Give me a break. I am 60 year old senior. Now I am left with this toothache for the rest of the weekend with absolutely no pain medication. They also said they were going to prescribe a benzodiazepine for me to take so they can pull my tooth on Monday but, they aren’t pulling anything out of my mouth without pain medicine!!! Plus the prescription never got sent to the pharmacy either. They tried to say I didn’t sign a paper for the medication to get called in but, I don’t work there. No one said anything to me about a piece of paper that had to be signed. They claimed the Dentist was not in today and refused to page her. All the pharmacist needed was a pre-authorization from her.!!! I will not be returning here. I do not like being treated like I’m some sort of drug addict. I am quite the opposite of that and a lady with a lot of class. I don’t suffer from addiction problems, I never have and I never will. For Christ sake, I don’t even drink alcohol.! . My family has to fight with me for me to take my pain medicine Because I don’t like the way that it makes me feel but, unfortunately it is the only one that I can take that I am not allergic to, but they didn’t care.

Negative experience: Botched my root canal, leaving me in excruciating pain for days and refused to do anything to help me. They also don’t accept Visa? Pretty sure they’re a bunch of scammers. Don’t trust them as far as I could throw them

My Second visit: I always have a great experience with this group. They are all nice and give me excellent dental care. Latifah was my hygienist today and she was very kind and efficient in her work. Dr Bollendorf is very pleasant and took excellent care of me! I no longer have a fear going to the dentist. My semi-annual cleaning/check up and same great service, sweetest hygienist & doctor! I’m very pleased with this dental office!!

Fantastic experience: This week has been crazy tooth wise - crowns and such. But today was cleaning & it was amazing. Strongly recommend Jennifer Gordon for cleaning- she was patient with my anxious self. Also Dr. Stephen Regnier was great explaining everything with crowns (scary) & what was happening as it occurred. Overall nice experience & would recommend Dr Stephen for dentist & Jennifer for cleaning especially if you are a scardey cat like myself.

Negative experience: Quoted me $2000 for a "Special" deep cleaning. Went to another dentist and they said i barley needed a level 1 cleaning and my teeth were perfect. This is the same place that said i needed 4 root canals and i ended up only needing one cap Stay far away from this place!

Fantastic experience: This location is so close to my home near Carolina Beach so convenience is the #1 reason I give them 5 stars, but that is only the beginning. The staff is top notch, the waiting room is comfortable and welcoming. I see Dr. Madsen and Tricia Norris is my hygienist. Both are amazing in how they show kindness, and understanding. I never feel rushed and I'm always asked if I have any questions. Throughout my cleaning Tricia makes sure I know what's going on inside my mouth and even gives me a mirror to really see the process if she's teaching me something.

My dental hygienist was amazing as I am a mess going to the dentist, no pain yesssss!! I had a question regarding my implants and with no hesitation a doctor was called in to take a look and give me a referral name for a specialist that I can call to discuss my concern. This is definitely a place I would recommend to all that ask about a good dental place in Wilmington to visit!! 5 stars from me, hands down!!!

Fantastic experience: I had my regular 6 month check up today and it went great! My hygienist Tricia, as usual, made it that way. She always takes the time to explain what she's doing and why. And I always am made to feel comfortable, which most people don't say about being at the dentist! Lastly, the dentist was a fill-in whom I hadn't met before but like everyone in that office, she was professional and kind.

Fantastic experience: The most excellent staff I've ever met!!!!! TOOTH PAIN SUCKS .....I had a emergency today and i needed attention immediately....I could not wait I was in so much pain. I came in and they got me back to the dentist promptly. The ladies up front made me feel so special the pain went away for a couple of seconds. The dental assistant or nurse was awesome, she was nice and wished me a happy belated birthday the lady up front did the same..The Dentist came in and educated me on the problem and came up with a gain plan and solution to make me feel better...I feel better already and I have not had any work done yet .I have not been there in 2years and they still the best Dentist office ever.

Highly recommended! Update- 1/2/24 The staff is incredible! Alyssa Wilson was so fantastic. She took time to help me fill an appointment for someone who did not show up and to understand the financing options. Such a huge help. Christine was also incredible. My dental experience was very professional. Together we all explored options for the best outcome. I highly recommend this dental office.

Fantastic experience: I had to get a periodontal cleaning and as always I am a nervous wreck when I enter a dentist office. It is not something I really look forward to. My normal hygienist left and I had to look for someone else that I felt comfortable with. You have to get this done every three months and you do need to have a connection with that person. At least in my opinion. I chose Beth. I go in sit down and she starts talking and asking questions of concerns and she addresses all my concerns. I am nervous of course and for whatever reason as she began to do my cleaning it all just seemed to fade away. I was very relaxed and before I knew it she was done. I do not get any kind of numbing agents because they make my anxiety worse. I felt no pain and she was very sweet and gentle and understanding my anxiety. The dentist, Dr. Madsen came in after she was done and checked things over and talked with me about a few questions I had on different options on care. He was very helpful and let me know what I needed to do. I left there that day with a smile. I am now ready for my next appointment. Can’t wait to see them again. I do hope that by my words it will help someone see how great they can be. I had a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service from Tricia. My bottom teeth are tight and previously the hygienist I went to before would butcher my gums during flossing. Tricia took her time and made the cleaning process smooth and pain free.

Negative experience: Writing this review on behalf of my elderly parents - horrible experience if you use the Humana Dental insurance. The staff was rude from the minute they found out that was the coverage. The office gave a quote of $248 for a crown after checking insurance coverage which was agreed to. When leaving the appointment, the actual amount due was over $1,100 and we were told it was because insurance didn't cover it.
