Positive experience: Nice people work there. Over priced procedures. Money comes before patients. I have been going jet 6 years. I have a chipped tooth Swaney fixed and said he would fix one more time for free...about 2 years ago. Last time he wanted to grind my 4 front teeth down and put crowns on them instead of repair for ONLY $5000.00. I have had enough...good luck. Update: After this review and an appt. confirmation issue I had with front desk a few weeks later, I received a letter signed by Walker Swaney stating they no longer would do business with me. Letter stated they would forward my info to my new dentist. I will move on to new dental practice.

Love this dental practice. I have now seen Dr. Lensing as well. She was great! I was a work in because of an infected tooth with associated toothache. They could not have been nicer. Update: This time I had a cleaning and checkup by Allison Collums and also a check by Dr. Lensing. Both were exceptionally thorough and explained things well. They are also both very nice. The technology used at this practice is the latest and that is comforting. I highly recommend them.

This was my first time here and my first time at the dentist without my mom and everyone was friendly, kind, and patient. The office is clean and the equipment seems well taken care of. I was offered water upon my arrival, given a tour, and I was treated like family! I recommend this dentist 100%! Especially for college students away from home.

After getting my first root canal a little over a year ago… I’ve avoided it like the plague. Buttttt decided to put my big girl pants on and booked an appointment. I’m so glad I can check it off my list. Oxford Dental was amazing. From the front desk ladies to my amazing hygienist, Ashley Kate, I couldn’t have been happier! Fantastic experience: Taylor and Hannah took the best care of me! I hadn't been to a dentist is years, I get a lil nervous in those things. They kept my spirits high and plaque low. They also let me change the music, brought a hot towel at the end, and sent me off with souvenirs. Fantastic experience: I absolutely love Oxford Dental! Several years ago I did a Google search for dentist offices that were good with patients who had an extreme fear of the dentist office. Oxford Dental was the first to pop up and I can confirm - they are INCREDIBLE at calming any fears you might have! Dr. Phillips and her registered dental hygienist , Ashley, are two of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. On top of my positive experience, they are also wonderful with my kids, one of whom has autism and all the sensory and communication issues that come with that. He actually enjoys dentist visits because our hygienist, Ashley, does everything she can to make him comfortable. She gives him a big mirror so he can see everything she’s doing, she follows his cues if he’s unsure or nervous, and she never pushes him. I cannot recommend Oxford Dental enough!

Fantastic experience: Went in for a cleaning and was hopeful I could get a cavity fixed same day. My hygienist was very knowledgeable and patient. The dentist had a great personality and was fast yet very efficient in repairing my cavity. All pricing was discussed up front so there was no surprise at check out. I signed up for their adult dental care plan. Highly suggest if you don’t have private insurance. I received a cute reusable welcome bag with a t-shirt, tumbler, toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. First experience with Oxford Dental was pleasant.

Negative experience: I actually hate giving reviews, but due to a “filling” that I had done here I’ve gone through hell since. Went in for a routine cleaning back in 2021 and was told I needed a filling. I had absolutely no pain but why would I not believe the dentist knew best. Moved forward and after my tooth was filled I was in excruciating pain. Ended up being told now it needs a root canal. Over $2k later I’m still in pain. Go in for an xray and I’m told there’s nothing wrong. So after a year I go see a new dentist for an X-ray. Unfortunately I’m told the same thing. I deal with it until almost a year ago. Start going a dental school where they go in depth with my teeth and they X-ray a foreign material deep past the tip of my root. They belief it to be the tip of a metal file left from the root canal. I call this dentist (Oxford dental) and explain to them what’s going on and ask if they will take care of the issue (since it’s their mess up) and they say no I have to see a different dr now and they will not take responsibility. So I pay another $500 for the dental school to redo the root canal to see if they can repair it with the least invasive thing possible. Does t help. I’ve now had surgery where they cut into my gums and drill through the bone to remove the foreign material. My face is swollen I’m in pain and I’m told if this doesn’t give me relief then it’s possible nerve damage that was caused in the initial root canal. Oh and let me mention while I was still a loyal patient as was my daughter, they continued to bill my account after her braces were paid in full. I called to see and an employee apologized and confirmed I was overcharged. When I called back days later they denied it. While I’m here giving this review let me remind the clinic before they feel any type of way about it, I gave y’all several opportunities to do right by this mishap and yall refused each time. I should not be dealing with this pain and trauma or paying someone else to try to fix it

Fantastic experience: In and out my experience was real good. There was a smiling face to greet me. Good teeth cleaning, and the lady that checked me out was real nice. Everybody just had a smile on their face like they were glad to be there.

I had never been to this office before, but the professionalism of the staff and overall care given by Dr. Morrison and his assistant Laura was exceptional. Fantastic experience: I was super anxious to go to the dentist as I haven’t been in a while, and I didn’t have any dental insurance. The staff could tell I was anxious but they did a phenomenal job of making sure I felt welcomed and okay the entire time. They gave me a tour of the office and also explained everything that was on my x-rays, and what was going on in my mouth so I didn’t feel like I wasn’t informed on anything. They also informed me of the cost of all treatment before proceeding and made sure I was okay with everything. They never once made me feel ashamed for the way my teeth were taken care of prior. As someone who works in a service industry, their service is some of the best in the world! 10/10 recommend!

Fantastic experience: I love this place. My partner and I have been going here for a few years now and we always know to expect excellent service, friendly staff, and a welcoming environment. When we first started going here, we didn't have dental insurance so they hooked us up with a saving plan that really kept us out of extreme debt. We appreciated their attentiveness to our financial needs -- many times they've chosen a less expensive treatment plan to save us money in the short term without damaging our teeth in the long term. They really listen to your needs and make what you need work. The doctors are top notch and really kind people. I love going to see them because they are so attentive and wonderful people. I really recommend this place!

However, I must clarify several points that were not adequately addressed: 1.Billing Discrepancies: You mentioned that the balance issue was "appropriately addressed." This statement is unclear to me. Please communicate via email or text to specify what you mean by this. 2. Out-of-Network Providers: Your explanation regarding the use of out-of-network providers was insufficient. Would any patient with insurance knowingly schedule an appointment with an out-of-network dentist for a cavity that shows no symptoms? The only plausible reasons for doing so would be an emergency or superior expertise, neither of which applied here. You did not clearly communicate that the dentist in question was out-of-network. In fact, I had no idea who this provider was initially. 3. Provider Assignment: I had specifically requested to schedule an appointment with a doctor within the network. Among the five dentists at your clinic, only Dr. Swaney is out-of-network for my insurance. Yet, he was assigned as my provider without my knowledge or consent, and he never showed up. After I identified this issue, you reassigned Dr. Rebecca as my provider, who is a doctor from another clinic and out of network. Unfortunately, of the two fillings she performed, one failed within a month. While she redid the filling the following week, that tooth continued to hurt, developed an abscess, and eventually required a root canal at another clinic. I ended up paying the price—both financially and in terms of my dental health—for your clinic's mistakes and my initial misplaced trust. 4. Product Recommendations: You persuade first-time patients to undergo deep cleaning and urge them to buy your expensive dental products out of concern for potential oral issues. Your clinic sells a water flosser at a price significantly higher than the market rate for the same model. This appears to be driven by profit motives rather than a genuine concern for patient care. 5. A Cautionary Note to Other Patients: My intent in sharing these concerns is to prevent others from being misled as I was. I urge all patients to carefully review their bills, especially those unfamiliar with the U.S. healthcare system. If you receive a bill that significantly exceeds your expectations, please scrutinize it closely. In summary, I believe I have been unfairly burdened with the consequences of your clinic's errors, resulting in unnecessary pain, expense, and loss of trust. ------the original review------ This dental clinic has been a deeply disappointing experience for us. We encountered several issues, including being encouraged to purchase unnecessary and costly dental products, seeing out-of-network doctors without clear communication, discrepancies in billing, and receiving what we believe was substandard care. These issues have led to significant time, financial, and emotional strain. We genuinely trusted this clinic, but our experience was far from what we expected. Unfortunately, it seems difficult to address these concerns through official channels. Please approach their 4.9 Google rating with caution, as we now believe it may not fully reflect the experiences of all patients. If this review is removed, we will repost it to ensure our voice is heard and to warn others about our experience with this clinic.

Negative experience: Do not go or take your kids, especially to Dr. Morrison. He can not do the job. He did a filling to my daughter's baby tooth. A few weeks later, my daughter's gum swelled due to an infection on the same tooth. The reason, based on what he said, was that the filling was too close to her nerve. He said it should be extracted, then attempted it poorly and could not do it; he sent us to a pediatric dentist (out of our network, and we had to pay hundreds of dollars) for the extraction. Then, since we could not find a pediatric dentist in our network in the town and wanted to follow up with him to place a space maintainer, we called the office to see him, and he refused to see my daughter—the reason "because he doesn't want to scare her." All this is a mess; if he used his professional judgment and not done the filling in the first place, this would not have happened. Plus, refusing to see a patient again is unprofessional and shows a lack of knowing what to do.
