He and his assistant made sure I was comfortable throughout what could have been a very stressful procedure. Fantastic experience: This was hands down the best dental experience that I've ever had. I was dreading the procedure so much because of previous dental experiences. The only thing that could have made this better is if it was free. Dr Gibson is absolutely wonderful!

Fantastic experience: I’m a general dentist, and I trusted OMS with my own wisdom tooth extractions. Even though I only came to see them for this one procedure, Dr Quinn and his staff took the time to really get to know me and make sure I was comfortable. The facility is very clean and organized and all of the staff were very polite and efficient! Having oral surgery can be scary, but they did a great job keeping me comfortable and relaxed, and my recovery went very smoothly. Overall I highly recommend OMS and Dr Quinn.

Negative experience: I just called for an appointment. Joey, my son has Aetna and I have Anthem. The lady who answered the phone felt she was terribly inconvenienced. I called because they were listed on with both of our insurance sites to call. She rudely informed me they only "EXTRACT" OK then. . . Since Joey and I don't get cavities I guess we will go somewhere else. Maybe to people who aren't so hateful. . . Too bad -- She could have used some of Joey's happiness.

Fantastic experience: This was my first experience with any kind of surgery. I was incredibly nervous, but Dr.Gipson's team kept me positive and did their jobs efficiently and effectively. I had one wisdom tooth extracted and it was virtually painless. Dr.Gipson did tell me at the consultation that there was risk of nerve damage because of how the tooth was growing in. But, that did not come to pass. I'm guessing because he is so highly skilled. The worst part of my experience was not paying close enough attention to the pharmacy instructions for taking hydrocodone. EAT BEFORE TAKING!!!! One dose where I did not do that had me vomiting everything I tried to eat for more than 12 hours. I developed a fever from not being able to keep fever reducers down. But, again, that was my own fault and had nothing to do with Dr.Gipson or OMS. I just want to assure anyone who might be as nervous as I was. . . You're in good hands with this team.

Negative experience: I called these people to schedule an appointment with a referral for surgery to fix my jaw due to domestic violence. Apparently they don't do that. It says on their website that they do. My doctor said that they do. Yet every time I call, they say they don't and to go to St. Louis. Please update your website and information. If you don't do jaw surgeries, and you don't do trauma/injury corrections, please don't advertise that you do with other doctors and patients. It's odd. Not a good experience.

Fantastic experience: Truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with dental work. I went in Monday with a swollen face and Wisdom tooth issues without an appointment and it wasn’t a problem to get me in. They would have pulled the tooth same day but I didn’t have a ride home. They got me scheduled for the next day. I will be getting any future work done here! No anxiety or stress involved! Just amazing staff and dentists!

Fantastic experience: I had the few teeth I had left pulled, and all off my broken teeth cut out this morning at OMS in Springfield. It was a pleasant experience. I had pain right afterwards, which I was given a pain med for, and now, about 5 hours later, without taking any other pain meds, I only feel very little pain. Everyone there was so friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing an oral surgeon.

Fantastic experience: OMS is by far the best oral surgeon group I have ever been to. I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed in 2018. When I had complications a few days after the procedure they were able to get me in the same day and fixed me right up. My sister recently had her wisdom teeth removed a few days ago. She was naturally very nervous for the procedure, so we called the nurse’s line the day before with a few questions. We spoke to Terri, who talked to us for over 30 minutes. She answered all of our questions compassionately and eased my sister’s mind more than I ever could. She is now 4 days post op, and her recovery has been nothing but smooth thanks to the hardworking staff. Everyone that works there, from the receptionists to the surgeons are so incredibly kind. I would recommend OMS to anyone!!

Negative experience: DO NOT GO THERE! unless you would like to deal with unprofessional, inhuman staff. Please find a different place. They don’t care about you, financially or aftercare and LIE LIE! Save yourself. I am already in process of filing a formal complaint through state of MO.

Before, during and post-op (I had a difficult recovery) he showed compassion and couldn't have been more patient with answering my many questions and fears. Fantastic experience: The staff at OMS is second to none. I had to go there for a Tori removal surgery and was extremely nervous about the entire process. Dr. Myers nurse, Terry, put me right at ease, calming me by answered all my concerns. The anesthesiologist and the nurses in the room were phenomenal. Dr. Myers did a stellar job. I would recommend this place and the staff to anyone. This group of doctors and nurses are the real pros!!! Side note: Dr. Meyers is one HOTdoctor

Fantastic experience: This is the second time I’ve needed OMS and I’ve had great results each time. I had a tooth pulled today and will get my 2nd implant in the near future. I believe their pricing for an implant is competitive compared to other places I inquired. I highly recommend them!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Arquitt is amazing! He knew I was uncomfortable and afraid when it came to needing my wisdom teeth to be surgically removed. When I went in, my blood pressure was 169 over 86 because if my anxiety. His staff had me so completely at ease that before they could start an IV, it dropped to 136 over 79. When Dr. Arquitt came in and verified the procedure, he gave me a "test" dosage to put me under. That is the last thing I remember until the staff was moving me into a wheelchair to recovery. No pain. No swelling (yet)... I would recommend this office to anyone that needs oral surgery!

Fantastic experience: The staff was excellent when my teenager had their wisdom teeth removed. They were able to squeeze in an appointment when one spot was acting up, and had them taken care of quickly and easily, with info about what to do at home. Very friendly and caring!

Fantastic experience: The staff at OMS was awesome from the minute I walked in the front door until I was leaving after my procedure, Doctor Myers. And his assistant were excellent and especially concerning my anxieties With the dentist he listened and understood and took care of everything. It was a great experience. Positive experience: I got all 4 teeth pulled. They gave me a lot of anxiety about the time of the appointment because they called me two days before the appointment to tell me that they have to reschedule me because the doctor will be doing a different surgery during that time, which put a dent in my plans since I'm in school but I adjusted. Then they sent me a message the day of that my appointment was for 8.15 when I talked to two nurses about the reschedule and they told me specifically that it was 8.45am. I asked about the change the day of and they say they just do it to try and get people to come in earlier and that's okay since I came when I did. Talk about anxiety ridden the moment the day started. Everything went well with surgery, I was a little frustrated and upset with how they kept telling me I won't remember anything but I do in fact remember everything that happened before they had to completely put me under. I think it's just the way I react to anesthesia. Though they should warn people about the pain beforehand!!! They jabbed needles in me, stuck things in my mouth to keep it open, while the whole time my whole body was shivering really hard and my teeth were trying to chatter. They give warm blankets but again that's just how my body reacts to anesthesia. I was also crying profusely because of all the pain, and here I thought they were just going to make me count and I would wake up not remembering anything bad. Some people can remember that pain beforehand so warn people instead of scaring them profoundly in the moment! It would have helped to be prepared for it. I also felt bad for the nurses because I was a cry baby afterwards. I was having an anxiety attack because of the whole scare factor of the needles and everything I remembered and I just couldn't calm down. They eventually got me to calm down in the recovery room and informed my fiance of everything he needed to do. This was an unpleasant anxious experience, but they did a good job in taking care of me despite all this. I only have a little bit of soreness a couple hours after the fact and I'm trying to avoid taking the hard stuff for now. Just a few warnings for anyone that might not do well with anesthesia.

Fantastic experience: While the wait time was about an hour longer than my original appointment. They were able to decisively decided that the abcest in my jaw that was found while looking at a separate incident would not be able to be taken care of with just antibiotics and instead had put me under sedation and sleep while they extracted the molar and quarter sized abcest. Thank you, Doctor, for your timely and decisive actions that saved my life.

Fantastic experience: Everyone is very professional and very caring. They did lots to make you as comfortable as possible during a procedure. The Assistant, whose name I did not get, was just outstanding! She should be commended for her attention to detail and to your care. I hope everyone there is just like her!!

Fantastic experience: I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed here by Dr.Collins. While I barely remember anything of the experience. I do vaguely remember laying my head down in recovery and the individual who was present kindly but firmly asked me to raise my head. My healing process has gone smooth. I have had pain and swelling which is to be expected but the pain medicine prescribed has helped greatly. My whole family commented on how well done the stitches are! Thank you OMS, for another successful oral surgery.

Fantastic experience: These people took good care of me. I just had my wisdom teeth removed and they made me comfortable, and gave me everything I needed to take care of myself at home. They were kind and very attentive to all my questions and concerns. And for the record. Having all 4 wisdom teeth removed at once is not as bad as some people make it out to seem.

Fantastic experience: The OMS surgeon and dental assistant did a very good job. All others OMS employees were so nice to me. I mixed up my appointment time but doctor accepted me that day. I am so happy!

Positive experience: They were really good on the dental work. I would say my first complaint is it felt like they were trying to constantly reschedule me. First time they did it I was a few minutes late so they rescheduled me nine days later because of it. Second time they did it was when I had a hard time paying them due to their usual system was down they tried to rescheduled me. But after I begged for the surgery due to the fact my wisdom teeth caused me to have debilitating pain they finally allowed me to pay and have my surgery. Second thing is that their payment system was weird. What I mean is that they weren't willing to send me a bill for the surgery. I asked about other options they told me me about the care credit which I tried to sign up for but their system was down and the other option they told me about initially required a voided check but who has checks nowadays. My saving grace was my parents who gave me their credit card to pay them with. To summarize they are fantastic in terms of dental work, less stelar with in regards to rescheduling, them not willing to bill me, and the fact that the dental credit website was down.

Fantastic experience: All upper teeth were extracted while I basically slept. I had lots of swelling on my cheeks about 9 days but never had any pains. Also recieved 8 to 12 stitches then got my new dentures in. After about 2 hours I was sitting in a restaurant eating biscuits and gravy. Great, friendly, caring people work here. As far as Dentists go I had the best experience at OMS ever. I will return if ever I need anything else done. Thanks everyone!!! Carol D.

Fantastic experience: My son (7) had minor oral surgery today but required anesthesia. The cost was relayed to me well in advance. Brie was awesome at keeping him (and me!) calm and comfortable.

Negative experience: By far the worst dental office and most un professional, girlfriend went in for teeth extractions and it was nothing but awful dealing with them. They laughed in her face, denied her insurance that was taken there because they did not believe they were gonna get payment from her insurance after being on the phone with insurance all morning and they said they would cover all but 20% of it. They are a bunch of stuck up snobs in that office. Save your time and go to Julie Becker Dental office.

Fantastic experience: This is a great place the staff was so nice. Dr. Arquitt took great care of my husband as my husband has heart trouble and other medical issues. Highly recommend OMS. After his surgery the Dr. came in a talked with me let me know how everything went. Great place

Fantastic experience: Had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Meyer, couldn’t have asked for a better doctor to do so. Made me very comfortable and educated me at the first consultation and then surgery was very sweet. The staff back in recovery also was a 10/10 when I started to not feel good. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience than with OMS.

Fantastic experience: I was very pleased with the implant process. Very quick and easy. I did not have anesthetic and had no problem with the process. Very little pain. Some swelling and a little pain later that day, but very manageable.

Fantastic experience: I had my surgery done August 27th, 2024, by Dr. Shaner. Dr. Shaner and his staff did a wonderful job on my surgery and answered all my questions and concerns. I didn't catch the name of the nurse that inserted my IV but she did a wonderful job since I have had a traumatizing experience in the past due to the way my veins are. I will recommend this place to anyone that needs oral surgery. This place cares about their patients!

Fantastic experience: Got my wisdom teeth removed and was super scared to do so. The nurse (I did not catch her name) was so nice. She was making jokes and that made me feel 10x better. 10/10 would recommend Dr.Meyer he was very nice and helpful as well.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Shaner did a really good job numbing me really well, & the nurse as well numbing me before Dr. Shaner came in. The receptionist ect were friendly with smiles which is a really uplifting, especially when you're about to get your mouth worked on. The nurse was thorough with explaining what I needed to do after my teeth were extracted, & they gave me a kit with instructions & plenty of gauze which was needed along with a ice pack which was needed. I had 2 teeth pulled today & my mouth is feeling good tonight , I'm definitely very glad my Dr. Dentist Dr. Jump in Bolivar, MO recommend this Dr.s office. For sure if you want a thorough job with great staff this is the place for you. Thank you & God bless

Fantastic experience: Took care of my tooth removal and implant with no issues. From what the cost would be to the actual procedure details, all issues were covered as well as all the questions I had. Very happy with results.

Negative experience: I had an appointment to have 3 teeth removed. February 2024. Because of it being 3 molars I requested sedation. First thing I get there and I am told I can't have sedation. The nurse and doctor both assured me all will be fine. Finally I gave in. He yanked and pulled till one tooth shattered. He got the other two out and went back to digging tooth bone shards out of the one he busted. Since February I have been in constant pain. Shards of bone / tooth work their way to the surface. I've had as many as 3 at once. 12 so far. Each one gets very sore and infected till I can work it out over many days with my tooth brush. I called these folks and was told I couldn't come in without another referral from my dentist. To call him means its classified emergency and it's costly just for a referral. It's now the end of June and yet another shard just started working through my gum My tongue is raw and the shard is solid. I guess another week or more of feeling like I have a needle on my gum. I would not recommend these folks for anything

Fantastic experience: Was recommended here from my dentist (Buzbee) to have upper wisdom teeth removed. I have always had horrible dental fear to the point I would get to dentist, panic, and leave. 30 years I lived in Michigan and not one good dental experience. OMS was awesome, Dr Arquitt came in, asked how I was doing, let me know he was going to get me relaxed and comfortable and before I knew it I was back awake and out of there, completely pain free and not a moment of being uncomfortable. Wanted to come here and write this review because I didn’t get a chance after to thank them and let them know their efforts matter.

Fantastic experience: My experience was great! (Well, for having surgery on my gums to remove roots of teeth I no longer have) They made me feel relaxed & confident in their ability. I was given medication so that I didn't remember a thing (thank God). They were nice to me when I regained awareness & I know I'm not very pleasant during that time. Fantastic experience: Cannot believe I’m saying this, but my extractions with OMS has to have been one of the most pleasant dental experiences I have ever had in my life! They take great care, belay fears, make sure you are comfortable, are non-judgmental, and just take what could be an anxiety-producing experience and made it simple. Very impressed!

Fantastic experience: I came in for a consult this past Monday for wisdom teeth needing to be removed, Dr. Meyer was INCREDIBLE with explaining the process to my very obviously anxious self, with no room for me to even think of a question. They got me in for surgery the next day and while i was still very nervous Dr. Meyer and his nurses made it seem like a breeze, explaining everything before it happened and putting me at ease, i almost fell asleep before they came in with the anesthesia!! if you're someone with a fear of dentists/ medical settings THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!

Fantastic experience: My family has used OMS for years. First my kids wisdom teeth and now its my turn for some work. They worked me in very fast and I am already scheduled. Excellent surgical group. No one likes dental work; however, these doctors are the best.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Collins and his team, Courtney, Mallory, Deb, and Dwayna were wonderful!! They got me in quickly and had excellent bedside manner. Dr. Collins really took his time to make sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Collins and his nurses to anyone needing oral surgery.

Fantastic experience: I was treated with respect. Dr..Meyers was very caring in that he had deaden the tooth completely before continuing to extract. I was treated as a person not as a number. Dr. Meyers and Jennifer are a wonderful team. Thank you so much!

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience at OMS. Everyone was kind, professional, and interested me getting the treatment I needed. Dr. Arquitt pulled my tooth easy peasy and I luckily didn't even have any pain when my jaw "woke" up. I would recommend OMS to anyone needing the services they provide.

Negative experience: The staff is dismissive. I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled 10 days ago, they keep saying that they look great. That everything is fine. All I know, is that all 4 quadrants of my mouth still hurt. Not just a low grade ache, it hurts. I've asked for advice, solutions, help. The nurse on call that I've spoke to twice has an annoyed tone. I'm annoyed, too. I've birthed 2 babies, and that was an easier recovery. Good thing they talked me into all 4 teeth at once, because I definitely wouldn't have it done a second time.

Fantastic experience: From arrival to aftercare, the best, most caring, compassionate group of professionals I've ever experienced in the medical field. I had a large tori removal surgery and they promptly had me in the chair and prepped for surgery. I was very nervous because it's very painful surgery/ recovery and they all made sure I was comfortable before and after. They just care. Very highly recommend them if you have oral surgical needs.

The Dental Assistant who worked with me was notably skilled and conducted herself with the utmost professionalism. Dr. Shaner, in particular, stood out for his ability to instill confidence in his patients. He and his team exude a level of competence and expertise that immediately put me at ease. What I appreciated most was Dr. Shaner's transparency about the procedure. He was forthright about all the potential risks involved, ensuring that I was fully informed before making any decisions. Moreover, he was incredibly patient in answering all my questions, never making me feel rushed or that any query was too trivial. Overall, my consultation experience with Dr. Shaner and his team was exceptional. Their blend of friendliness, professionalism, and open communication truly sets them apart. I left feeling confident in their abilities and reassured about the care I would receive. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need of dental care.

Fantastic experience: Everyone was very kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Arquitt was very thorough and personable. I appreciate him taking the extra time to make sure everything was explained and we knew what to expect. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Historically, my experiences here have been positive. However, today I am at the clinic with a friend who has requested my presence as an advocate. The staff made the choice to say this is not allowed. Even though the patient asked. Not every patient is comfortable with the dentist, and others may need assistance understanding jargon. This is being denied to patients.

Positive experience: It wasn't horrible, my only complaint is actually for the persons next to me in recovery. One needed to use the bathroom and asked a few times and kept being told they had to had someone stay with them so it would be a minute (because some non patient/ non employees were there with their kids ) and the person on the other side of me started vomiting with the curtain open.

Fantastic experience: Receptionists dental assistants and the dentist all did a very professional job on the removal on one of my teeth. Gave me good instructions on taking care of and help the healing from it. Thank you to the whole crew!!!
