At Western Dental & Orthodontics in Chula Vista, we're all about teeth - young ones, old ones, shiny ones, crooked or chipped ones. Our friendly and experienced dental professionals provide a wide range of family dental services including orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and emergency dental care. Our general dentists, specialists and hygienists are all under one roof. Which means that treatment for implants, braces, or periodontal care can take place at the same office. Here, we gladly treat patients of all ages, including young children. We also welcome walk-ins, offer evening and weekend appointments, and accept a variety of dental insurance plans. FREE exams and x-rays for new patients.

Negative experience: My experience at this orthodontic office has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, especially when dealing with the office manager, Jackie. For the past 7 months, I continued going to appointments and was never once informed that my contract had expired. That only became an issue when it was convenient for them. I later discovered they had added extra charges to my account without notifying me. I had to call multiple times just to get basic information, and Jackie was extremely difficult to reach. When I finally did speak with her, she constantly talked over me and refused to actually listen or take accountability. Now, after all that, they’re telling me I can just “end my treatment” and that I won’t receive my retainers because my contract expired something they never mentioned until now. On top of that, they’re saying I have to pay out of pocket for the retainers. I even went in person to speak directly with Jackie about it, and still got no real help or resolution. What kind of service is this? How can you fail to communicate critical contract information for months, continue scheduling appointments, and then suddenly say it’s all expired and the patient is responsible? Because of the way this entire situation has been handled, I’ve chosen to stop my treatment here. I would absolutely not recommend this office to anyone looking for honest, clear, and respectful care. Patients deserve better than this.

Negative experience: I made appt for today to get my dental implant tighter. Waited 30 min to find out the person who does that wasn't working today. What a waste of my time. Now what do I do. Bad service.

Negative experience: Today I was treated terribly. I don’t know but I think my Gaza shirt offended my dentist. She refused to tell me after asking 3 times whether I would be done in time for my scheduled ride pick up. She never answered, never made eye contact. In fact she rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. I have never been treated so disrespectfully as I was today. I definitely will not go back and I will let everyone I know what a terrible appointment this was

Negative experience: I do not recommend this place. They put braces on my 14 year old son without having his extra tooth being extracted first. The orthodontist said he forgot all about it when I mentioned it to him on our second visit. Then they told us that his teeth could be extracted that same day under local anesthesia and then later they changed their mind and said that it would have to be under general anesthesia and they would have to schedule the day of the procedure. Apparently, they do not know what they’re doing.

Fantastic experience: Patricia C. - very efficient My only problem with Western Dental is that from the time I check in until finished, it can take up to 3 hours just for a teeth cleaning. Sometimes I have to reschedule because it takes too long before seeing the doctor and then the hygienist. Very frustrating! I have complained several times, but no improvement. Will probably find another dentist.

Negative experience: I just don’t see how you can justify a three hour wait time. After three hours of not receiving initial exam I had to walk out. My appointment was at noon and I left at three without ever being seen by a dentist. I guess I can now agree with all the other reviews. Staff was friendly but wait time is unacceptable. They Offered to reschedule the next day when they would have more dentist. It would have been nice if you offered this before I wasted three hours of my day.

Negative experience: Whole front desk needs training on customer service and trying to be sympathetic to patients that are especially in PAIN and discomfort from a procedure that was just done in their office. Negative experience: Not sure how this place is still open, workers are incompetent & lazy. Takes forever to get seen, they will randomly cancel your appointment with no warning in advance. If you’re thinking of going here because they have payment plans you’re better off saving up and going to a real dentist

Negative experience: The service for ortho is good the scheduling process is rediculious not everyone’s on the same page some people will assist with scheduling ortho and others will not and say we have to call on the days ortho is open delaying services when spoke to office manager about my concerns she constantly cut me off and was disregarding my concerns as if she had a personal issue with my complaints. Not happy with the way the office is ran at the Chula Vista location.

Negative experience: This Chula Vista location is filled with incompetent people. No easy way to put it. First they don’t have me on the schedule after I schedule, then dentist called ok(I’m ok with this) then they never ran insurance , then had to reschedule due to overbooking and this weekend I scheduled and wasn’t on the schedule again. This is by far the worst dentist

Negative experience: This place is by far the worst orthodontics I've been to. Apart from the fact they take their sweet time making you wait when you have an appointment, they are the biggest scam artists and have been charging me monthly for a treatment I never received and when I tried to cancel my subscription for it, they either don't answer my calls or avoid them and refuse to cancel my subscription. They're basically forcing me to pay for something I dont have with the intention of stealing from me. The sooner they get shut down, the better. I will keep bugging them until they do what's right.

Negative experience: I came in for an exam, which started off as a hour wait (partly my fault for not having my insurance card ready) and then once started was that rather vigorous, and rushed, and painful for an exam. Dentist left the room and turned me over to the figurative used car salesman who then gave me a cost and offered a payment plan without any details what I was paying for. Never were my issues actually discussed except the Dentist’s desire to correct an underbite. Had to ask the assistant to go back and print my exam results and go over each of the many line items because she did not offer to do so in the first place. Came in with no issues and luckily don’t need any immediate work. Even still I was on board with doing the cost research until I was told cleanings are charged based on “quadrants.” As if I’m going to go in an only get a forth of my teeth cleaned. I got back in my car and canceled my dental insurance before leaving the parking lot. I could have been in and out of nearby Tijuana for 20% of the price I was quoted. Even for a cleaning you can find local dentists who charge half for new customers. Waste of time especially if you think you have insurance. An extra star for the administrative staff who is very nice and friendly- it’s not their fault.

Fantastic experience: I was there for the allignment consultation last Monday. Sergio Moyer the receptionist at Orthodontics desk was amazing! He was not only friendly, helpful but also super informative. Kudos to Sergio please!! I decided to do my braces at Western Dental because of his service. Also Isabella and Doctor Gereb were all great. I didn’t have good experience with Western Dental before because of their waiting time is always bad. Doesn’t matter if you have an appointment, you will always expect at least 45 mins to an hour waiting in the lobby. But the Orthodontics desk is so completely opposite, fast service and friendly!

Negative experience: Wait times over an hour and sometimes only for them to tell you the dentist left for the day... And when they do see you it feels like they only care about selling you braces and other expensive treatments, not actually trying to help. Insanity. Been coming here the past year but this is clearly a shop and braces pyramid scheme first ($$$) and a medical center second. Will be switching to a different dental center.

Negative experience: Worst dentist you can go to! The Chula Vista location needs to hire better employees than who they have at their front desk. They are so rude to their patients! I will never recommend this place to anyone! I went to the national city location & waited 35 minutes for them to tell me I had to be seen by my primary dentist. Whoever trains these employees need to make sure they know what they’re there for. If I had known I would not of waisted my time in the waiting room for nothing!

Negative experience: Didn't even get seen. First time going in. Already off put by the setting. Receptionist was rude to a customer. Her demeanor was off putting as well. Just her saying "these bathrooms are worse then gas stations bathrooms" or w.e she said was like wow. Complaining about there own business. Isn't really somewhere you wana be seen. Calling thier own business gross. Waited an hour to not even be seen. Me and my 17 yr old were over it. We got a walk in appt down the street at Dental place in front of Food for Less on palomar quick. Daughter was super happy and impressed. You figure being a Western Dental it woulda been a more reputable place but we were disgusted with the whole experience. I'd give 0 stars if I could. Rude. Unclean. Take forever. You can tell if they don't care much for you, you'll be left on the back burner for sure. Unprofessional place.

Negative experience: 1 hr 30 min + to take me in . Had my appointment at 4:30pm they took me in at 5:30 took some x rays came back at 5:51 to tell me they have to see me tomorrow because they about to close . It’s always been like this . Schedule some where else

Negative experience: I made an appointment online and filled out all their paperwork online. They made me fill it again on paper. I went for an emergency temporary filling. I had scheduled my appointment as a broken crown. Nobody asked me why I was there. I went through a whole exam just to find out they don't do temporary fillings. Not even on a tooth with an exposed nerve. I would have just waited to see my regular dentist if I'd known that.

Negative experience: Chula vista office never have I been treated this badly from a business.. it seems people with dental cal are not very welcome here.. very poor service from office manager.. basically tried to up sale into things I didn't want or can afford... very poor communication from the desk.. I'm going to Woodside Dental instead.

Negative experience: Appointment was scheduled for 230. At 330 I asked if we would be seen today. Receptionist stated that it would be another 2 hours. I asked if this was normal and she told me it was and to expect to be there for 2-5 hours for a single cleaning. I asked if there was a point to making an appointment and she raised her voice at me and told me to stop screaming at her at which point another customer said “he’s not screaming he’s asking when he’ll get his appointment.” At which point the manager said to “call corporate if you have a problem.”

Negative experience: First off the staff seem disinterested in wanting to help and more interested in talking with each other. After waiting an hour and attended for maybe 20 minutes st the most. I again proceed to wait another hour with nobody coming to check in on me. I decided to leave do not go to this place.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment at Western Dental today for a cleaning and overall check-up, and I had a great experience! Connie, who did my cleaning, was amazing she was thorough, gentle, and very professional. The doctor who did my check-up was also great, as well as the staff who handled my X-rays and check-in, though I can’t remember all their names. Everyone made me feel comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you to the whole team for the excellent service!

Positive experience: I have been going to this WD for 3 years now and love the staff. The dentist and assistants always make me feel at ease. Yesterday I had my yearly exam and the only complaint I have is the young lady at the front desk was concerned more about videos on her phone than checking me in. I had to repeat my name and date of birth to her 3 times just so she could find my appointment.

Negative experience: Worst visit I’ve had with them.I went to ask for a cup of water and they tell me that I can’t drink water as I’m there(I had water before the visit).Also they didn’t tell me that I needed a driver back to monitor me back to my residence till I was there.Receptionist are also very unprofessional having lunch as they are talking to clients on the phone at the front desk while other people are in waiting room.After all this I had to reschedule for the next month because the Surgeon only comes once a month.

Negative experience: Services not rendered. One hour into scheduled appointment I was still waiting, not counting the 25 minutes I arrived early to complete new patient paperwork that took five minutes to complete. Dentist was running late, approximately 3 hours per staff conversations. I walked out after waiting an hour and having heard that information. Unprofessional to see staff on personnel calls and talking about personal matters at front desk. Unprofessional to see and hear front desk staff call my insurance and not waiting for assistance , just hanging up, they were waiting to obtain documents they needed to “check me in”. I called insurance they were faxed to them while I was on the phone with them, but I was still waiting. If that’s a glimpse of how things are run in that office they don’t deserve my business. They are lucky to receive one star. My time matters.

Negative experience: Made appointment through a phone call and THREE times they said that I didn’t have an appointment when I made a call and got appointment from their headquarters. Their headquarters and local office do not communicate whatsoever. When I call the number listed it shoots to the headquarters, and they know nothing. Negative experience: Ok, so first of this post is outdated. This is from a visit from last year, so I hope they have improved by now. That being said, I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone if you have a good experience. That's great, but I'll tell you my experience and why I'm giving this rating. So we went here cause it was the one under our plan and I wanted it checked cause of a toothache. Well, when we went in, it was OK . The ladies were friendly and helped me out for my appointment and told me to wait and that I did for quite a while, a little annoying but fine whatever the real issues started shortly after being seen we went to do the xrays real easy no problems but then when I went to lay down in the chair the female dentist came in started to check my teeth I don't even recall if she gave me her name anyways she checking my teeth then suddenly gets up walks away talks to another lady for about a few min talking about coffee or something I don't recall then guess what happened next she walked away didn't say anything to me and just left in like ok fine maybe she had to do something use the restroom idk but anyways after being there for at least 10 min of not more another lady came up to me to let me know that my dentist went to lunch.... you read that right she went to lunch without telling me anything, so they asked if I wanted to stayin the waiting room it'd be about an hour cause you know lunch so I go back into the waiting room meeting with my wife and daughter who was 3 or 4 months old we waited for longer than that and my wife was getting stressed cause she wasn't feeling good so I told her to go home and I waited yet another 20 min or so I get fed up waiting and went to talk to the girls at the counter and they told me my dentist went home already you can imagine how upset I was so for anyone who might say they simply forgot about me that won't work either because they didn't forget to print me out my bill I never went back who knows maybe they're better now and I don't bland anyone but the dentist the others were just doing their job sorry this was so long if you don't read this whole thing I understand and I see a lot of positive reviews so I'm really hoping they improved but it gave me more than enough for me to know I never want to go back hopefully it'll treat you better if you go to it

Negative experience: Took my mom here for a Dental Clearance for a complex surgery. The surgery was urgent and was scheduled only less then 2 weeks in advance due to the urgent nature. The staff would not let us explain why we could not book an appointment 6 months in advance. We just got talked down too. They made a list of things that would take weeks to get done before the they could give the clearance. She did not have weeks....between the attitude and lack of empathy I can not recommend this place to any one. Luckily we found another dentist in the area that took the time to call the doctors office and asked what was needed exactly for the clearance and was able to fit her in for an appointment same day.

Negative experience: Horrible every time that I come I have to wait over an hour to be seen. I used to see Dr.Arriola such a good person today 9-11-24 I was seen by a Asian female dentist horrible she was upset that my crown didn’t fit and she told me in a rude way that’s why you don’t miss appointments and I told her I did came to my last appointment the thing is that the wait was over 2 hours and she stated in a smart ass voice tone you should go to a private office because we are public like ok didn't asked her for her opinion so I told her the thing is that you get paid to be here I don’t get paid to be waiting for over 2 hours to be seen that’s why I reschedule that appointment.

Negative experience: I had an appointment Tuesday this week I knew I couldn’t come in I was calling since last Friday to cancel every time I call I get hung up on receptionist is rude or whoever Hilda is.!.!.! I work in customer service if you don’t like helping people that is not the job for you!! How ever Dr and back staff is awesome.. Front office needs a new staff with cheerful personalities. Never in my life of all places have I felt negative vibes dentistry is supposed to be pleasant, patients are nervous and or in pain as it is and then to have to be greeted by attitude isn’t how I would want my appointment to be…… I’d give no stars if possible!

Negative experience: Horrible patients care.First visit took over 4 hrs and then referred out for root canal and told needed 1 of my crowns replaced.I Had my root canal and was told to go back to western dental for crown.Made the appointment and they said i had to wait for the auth but will work on removing the crown on the other tooth.Crown removed and impressing done and told to schedule in a week and would call on the auth for rtc and schedule when approved.i scheduled before i left for crown replacement a week after and on my way to the appointment i got a call that the impression was not there yet.Its been over a month now and no call and when you call the office the call keeping hanging up on you.I worked for a dentist that took mostly denti-cal patients and never seen impressions take sooooo long.

Fantastic experience: I had such an amazing experience at Western Dental. Every single individual there was so friendly and so dedicated to providing quality service. EVERY SINGLE PERSON! From the receptionist who greeted me at the door, to the dental assistant who took my x-rays, to the orthodontist who administered treatment, and Jackie, who communicated with me at every step of the process and personally ensured that I left with a smile on my face. I felt genuinely cared for, which is incredible considering their work load. They are so few, yet they serve so many people! I was blown away by their ability to remain courteous, in spite of the challenge of balancing quality care with expeditious service. Every single hand-off from one team member to another was so graceful... They operated with a level of efficiency I can't say I've ever seen. I am so grateful that their Orthodontics team is available every 4th Saturday. This provision is so helpful to those of us who struggle to find time during the week, yet need that regularly scheduled treatment. I am very much looking forward to my next visit!

Negative experience: BEWARE!!! Do not pay for services upfront. This office charges for services not rendered and then when you call to complain they tell you no refunds. They charged for multiple procedures upfront without ever actually doing the work. When we got tired of being strung along and canceled the procedures they refused to return our money, paid upfront and refused to give us our medical records and xrays. Now our credit is ruined.

Negative experience: Avoid this place like the plague. Made an appointment for 4/13/24 at 1:30 for molar pain. Waited 2 hours to be seen because their xray machine was down. When they finally called me in they told me i was not going to be seen by any doctors because it was after hours, they were all gone for the day. Mind you i told them i was in pain. Stupid me decided to schedule for an exam to go over what i needed or why i was in pain. The lady at the front scheduled me for 4/15/24 at 4:30, i get there Monday on time only to be told that my appointment was scheduled in error as the dentist that took my insurance was gone for the day. I had a bad feeling about this place i figured i give them the benefit of the doubt. Don't waste your time and effort these people have no clue what they're doing. The lady who assisted me unfortunately informed me that the person who scheduled me was the "store manager, Mara". At the same time I was there, a customer walks in and was told that they "called and left her a voicemail to reschedule her appointment". She had no missed calls or messages from Western Dental. This place has no sense of cordination, no communication, and very unprofessional.

Negative experience: Just read a previous post and I can concur this place has no respect for patient’s time. My wife had an appointment at 11:30 am and two and half hours later was still not seen for her APPOINTMENT. Really?? If someone has an appointment then they should be seen at their appointment time. Negative experience: By far the worst dental experience. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I was scheduled at 1130. Was told it would be a three hour wait to be seen. Three hrs later I get x-ray and since the doctor goes to lunch. I had to leave mid x-ray. Unfinished, unsatisfied and unseen by doctor. Service is horrible, waiting room hot and crowded. FYI know. In advance for morning appointment you will be all morning and afternoon waiting. This office has no regard for people's time or customer satisfaction.

Negative experience: Worst service ever. Would never recommend this place. Had my appointment rescheduled twice when I was already in the office waiting. Had an appointment at 10 waiting 4 hrs for them to say they will see me at 430. I was rescheduled came in again a week later at 10 to be rescheduled after waiting 2 1/2 hrs. Last vist was at 9 to be called at 12 for them to do nothing. Will never reschedule to be seen here again. And the front desk girls are rude.

Negative experience: On my daughter's first visit, her entire appointment took four hours and that was just for her teeth to be x-rayed and looked at. On our second appointment (a week later) for the cleaning, they seemed to have gotten our files mixed up with another patient and insisted that we previously had her teeth cleaned four days earlier when we were there (we were not there on that date). After they checked her in we actually didn't have a long wait time for her to be seen, I think it was only about 30 minutes. The assistant comes out and goes over some forms with me about local anesthesia for numbing and fillings. We were not there for this procedure, my daughter has no cavities (per her first appointment). I had to advocate for her with two different assistants before getting them to only do a cleaning and sealants. I was not pleased with the initial wait time, and the fact that they clearly had no idea what procedure my daughter was actually there for. Kind of seems to me that they are either trying to scam insurance, or very unorganized. We will not be going back.

Negative experience: This is my 3rd time actually making it inside. But I have been here 7 times. My experience has been horrible from staff and management! This place has great doctors but management needs to be updated right away. The 1 st time I got here at 09:50 they told me it was an hour wait as they were behind, if needed please check receipts. I left at 04pm! The next time I came I wait on the lobby 1hour and a half for them to tell me there were still 4 people before me and I was on time for my apptm. I left… then came back and and same history except I was smart on my time and left after the wait was 45 min. For the next one and 4th visit I went in on time and I was so excited I didn’t wait not even 1 min after my appointment time, but then I was sent to a chair and my waiting there for a doctor was of over an hour. The next time I came I made the appointment on the phone and when I got here o check in and waited the hour and asked if it was going to take longer or should I leave they said that they were ready for me but apparently the people on the phone put me as new patient and no continuance for my treatment. So I had to leave. They asked me at the beginning about it why did I had to wait a whole hour for nothing ? This happen another time too. Today I’m here… Appointment at 2 o clock got here at 1:45 pm no one person at the desk bc everyone took lunch at the same time and they were at an office having a laugh. At 2:10 I’m checked in and after asking and pressuring about my appointment at 03;30 I’m lead to the back where I wait until 03:50 to start my treatment but only part of it because they are really busy. So now as I’m typing this I’m waiting again. Waiting for the doctor to come and do my fillings. It’s 04:26pm. Why does this keep happening, why are you all over scheduling so many people of you have not the time. Is worse the customer experience you all giving. Western Dental you owe me babysitter hours for all time spend waiting to be seen past my appointment time. 10 min/15 min is understandable because is the most you get as a courtesy when late to an appointment but past that mark is just WRONG. And the worse is no matter who reads this, most likely this won’t change at all.

Fantastic experience: My daughter is getting ortho treatment at the Chula Vista location, with Dr. Bisbas. So far she’s had a great experience, it’s been a few months since started treatment and we can already see a huge improvement. She’s very happy with the results she’s getting. Negative experience: I’ve had three appointments with them, out of those three appointments the wait times have been between 40 min to 2hours. The dentist do good work the dental team does a good job overall. Their biggest flaw is that they overbook and lack of organization, they’ve canceled on me twice .

Negative experience: Should've listened to the review below. First time at this dentist. Arrived 10 min early to complete paper work. My appointment was 10AM. At 10:30 the front desk calls me over regarding my insurance plan. We get that resolved and they say I'm all set and I can sit to wait. I had already been there for 40 min (arrived 9:50) so I ask how much longer until I'm seen and they say another 30-45 minute and it's due to corporate overbooking their office and they only have 1 X-ray and 1 tech. I said that waiting over 1hr to be seen is unacceptable and ask if we can reschedule, however if the same thing will happen again. They said yes, they are very overbooked and wait time can normally be at least 1hr. This sounds like poor management skills and will find another dentist in the area where they can respect their clients schedule and not overbook to simply have people sit and wait over one hour to be seen.

Negative experience: I've been here 3 times. Each time I showed up for my appointment early and have had to sit and wait an hour past my appointment time to finally get seen. This last time, I was waiting in the lobby for over an hour in a lot of pain, was finally seen by someone, the dentist looked at the x-rays for a minute, gave me attitude because I didn't have to tooth fixed sooner, and then referred me to another office and just walk out of the room. I was left wondering if they were coming back, was the appointment over, who do I call? And after a while I realized they really just walked away and left me to find the exit myself. I was in SO much pain, at a loss for words, and honestly felt judged. I ended up going to a new dental office who treated me amazingly, was so kind, not judgemental at all, and put together a plan to get me out of pain as soon as possible. Fantastic experience: Thank you for the kind and professional services you have provided. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well as being very knowledgeable. The only negative thing I have to comment on is the WAIT TIME with an appointment. It just seems to me that whether or not you have an appointment or merely a walk-in, the wait time is still the same. Not to mention that I saw quite a bit of people come way after me, whether on appointment or walk-in, alot of them were called to see a dentist BEFORE me and I think that's something that definitely needs to be worked on. I'm sure I'm not the only one but nevertheless, IT'S NOT FAIR. Other than that flaw, everything else was good.

Negative experience: Worst financial mistake! I decided to get braces through them, and they are so quick to take your money and install them, then put you as the least of their priorities. The regular dental treatment is managed by a separate team which is truly incompetent; starting by the front staff (Enrique). I made an appointment on Friday, and had requested the latest appointment available, Enrique told me the latest appointment he could make was for 3:30PM. I show up on time and end up waiting 1 hour 30 mins. When I announce that I’m tired of waiting to be seen although I had an appointment, they tell me I’m next. I waited another 15 minutes to bee seen. Next, they take my xrays and some pictures, just to let me know that thats all they will have time to do and will have to reschedule my appointment. Fast forward a week I show up and again wait to be seen for 1 hr. I’m finally seen, just for the dr to look at the xrays and a quick glance of my teeth; no longer that 3-5 minutes. All this time, I have been telling them that I’m in pain; his conclusion is that I need a root canal and they can’t accomplish it there so I will need to be referred elsewhere which will take 3 weeks. Nothing else was accomplished on this appointment, and I truly don’t understand why they could not have saved the time and see me for this check up last Friday since the whole interaction with the doctor took less than 10. minutes. I have to add that both days I left work early from work to make it in time, just for them to disrespect my time like that. Unfortunately, the outcome of this is $3K in debt from braces without being able to switch to a better location, remaining dental pain, and wasted time.

Negative experience: They mess up your appointments. They say they schedule you but don't or do it the wrong time. I called to clarify an appointment after they messed up my last appointment and they put me on hold midsentence and then was eventually i was told by an automated message that no one is available. They do things incredibly fast so it doesn't feel through. The wait is very long in the office. They say one thing at one appointment and then change and say something else at the next appointment. They're just a big company that focuses on making money like by pushing products that are unclear if you need it like the gumx. They make you pay before giving you the services. I wish I hadn't gone there. I don't believe the star rating they have now based on my experience going there twice.

Positive experience: Service is usually pretty OK friendly staff but the thing that I have come into most problems with is the fact that no one seems to know how to answer a phone on time. I’ve called back multiple times throughout different months for about three months four months in a row, and for some reason every time I either call directly or asked to be connected through the Western Dental hotline they tell me the stores open when they never answer the phone and the ending message says that the store is closed.

Negative experience: You ask their front desk if you owe anything after a visit and they tell you you’re good to go and then a year later attempt to get more service done only to find out you actually did owe them money but they made zero attempt to contact you, to include failing to call or send a bill in the mail to inform you of a balance due. Instead they just send your bill to a collections agency and even the agency they hire out fails to use proper methods of communication to inform the person of a bill that is owed. Extremely unprofessional staff and shady business. Highly recommend all DOD personnel and families to stay away from this business.

Negative experience: Over an hour and 20 minutes into my appointment, and they haven't even started cleaning my teeth. All I said is that I want a cleaning. Nothing but upselling, and a ton of x rays and pictures I didn't ask for... stop wasting my time and just clean my teeth! The dentist literally just jabbed my gums over and over again calling out numbers to the other person. If you're just counting, please don't jab my gums for no reason.

Negative experience: Do not go here if you are a Senior and have Dent-i-Cal. The only person in the facility who showed any respect and compassion was Patrice. The tech who was taking impressions for dentures was very rough and rude. Plus, they didn't hear anything I tried to tell them.

Negative experience: Last visit was in 2015 this was my go to dentist. But they take so long to call you and when they do they take you back and leave you there forever. Then I was wiered out because I needed to speak to the dentist and as I walk to speak to her I find her in her office on her chair twirling. I was wierded out so I left and never went back. LOL.

Negative experience: A GIANT WASTE OF TIME… Booked my appointment for 3:30 pm, which I’ve had to cut work short for… When I arrived, I was informed that instead of the exam and X-Ray, they “can’t do the exam today… just c-Ray…” okay so 45 mins later, they said “would you like to reschedule?” Waiting for 45 mins, not getting acknowledged, despite people ahead of me being seen… Hmmm. Get it together, Western Dental CV! Inconvenient and unprofessional… WONT BE BACK…. PROs: Hmmmm close to home.

Negative experience: The back staff is amazing. Now the front staff, they are rude, triple schedule patients so you are waiting 2 to 3 hrs just to be seen. It's awful here.

Negative experience: Update!!! I'd give it no stars if I could. This is a shady business with bad practices. Does not care much about the patient, only their insurance money. In the past I've never had issue with dentists OR tooth aches until I came here. Initially i thought it's the wait time that's the biggest problem about this place. Well, now I know that overbooking leads to poor service. My appts were rushed. If it's more important for the dentist to leave work at 5pm than to do proper job on my teeth, then what is there to even talk about?! I had 2 teeth that needed fillings fixed in this place. Ive never felt such sensitivity. Turns out one of the teeth has been drilled down too close to the nerve, then patched up with the filling.. now the only way to save the tooth is doing root canal. The other tooth has been chipped during the appt and has also become senstive. It was my fault for giving this place my business. Don't know how i thought 15min of work on a tooth can ever be a good job.. Moreover, i also had a consultation for braces. They quoted me a certain price but once I told them that i am gonna see what other places offer, they started trying to sell me with price match. Like wth. How can you bargain on things like these? That's when it was clear to me that I probably can't even trust their evaluation. Outrageous wait times, sloppy job, bad business practices. I am N E V E R coming back and not recommending this place to anyone unless you wanna ruin your teeth. Prev. Review- I don't know how to feel about this place. I just cannot justify waiting 2.5 hours to have a cleaning and tooth filling done in 15min. Wait time is horrific, and while the ladies at the front office seeem nice, no one ever checks in with you or even just apologize. I'm not sure if I'll be coming back.

Negative experience: Don't come here especially to this office in chula vista! The manager is very unprofessional! She likes to hide from patients, never is available. Dosen't fix problems that they did. Every negative review is real. I should have read reviews before coming here, it is a nightmare!

Fantastic experience: I normally hate the dentist but today Connie made my cleaning and my filling turned to prepping for a root canal easy and painless. Love that she gave me a window seat while I waited in my chair for her to prep everything. It was a really rainy day so it was calming to look outside at the rain. Connie is so kind and nice thank you I will see you in a few days for that root canal

Negative experience: Negative a million stars. If you truly love your children you won't send them here. I am over 30 years old and my teeth are thin, see though and messed up from this place. It's so sad they are still in business messing with kids teeth. They thinned up my teeth. My teeth are easily chipped and I have to use special toothpast because I have very sensitive teeth. When I go to my dentist for a cleaning they have to be careful because of how painful it is to clean all my front teeth. I haven't been to the place in probably over 20 years now and I to this day tell everyone to run the other direction from this place. I am writing this review in hopes that this place goes out of business so they don't experiment on other kids teeth. If you're children start complaining about there teeth after going here I'm very sorry but there is no going back... Your childs teeth will forever be messed up.

Negative experience: Western Dental is THE WORST! After my first appointment, they told me they had to get authorization, which would take 10 days. They said they'd call me at that time to set a second appointment. After more than a month, and unable to get a live person on the phone, I called Denti-Cal and found outauthorization had been sent 4 days after my 1st appointment. After numerous calls and complaints to corporate, I was finally given a Saturday appointment at 1pm. I wasn't called in until almost 4pm. I'm a little hard of hearing, and none of the staff, would speak slowly and clearly enough for me to understand what they were saying. I wasn't told the name of the doctor who did my exam, or the person taking impressions. I wasn't given any information about the exam results or notes. Finally, and worst, when she did the exam, she overlooked a very obvious and serious problem that she should have caught. It's shameful. The service, attitude and quality of care are of the lowest level.

Negative experience: Not a quality dentist.. when you show up for your appointment, there are always several other people sitting there with the same appointment time so after an hour or so of waiting every single time, then another hour or more usually waiting in back but besides all that.. their work isn't really that good. Everything they did for me failed within a few months so if you value your time & $ don't go here.

Negative experience: Most horrible experience ever! They book you by2pm! I came 30 Minutes earlier than appointment! The reception told me I have to wait until my 2pm appointment! By 2pm the reception told me the doctor go to lunch and I either wait for 1 more hour or cancel appointment! When I asked why you did not told me earlier or check me in earlier She said it not her who talk with me! She doesn’t know!! Extremely disappointed! This is happened 2 times of my 3 visit ! Will never come back again!!

Fantastic experience: Met with Dr. Arreola who was professional and made me feel at ease. He patiently answered my Qs. His assistant was knowledgeable and helpful. Lilliana did my impressions and I found her to be efficient and friendly which is important to us 'old' people. Overall beginning with the front reception desk your staff made me feel welcome and I could trust your dental expertise. I know I'm in competent hands.

Negative experience: The Receptionist were okay and the Dentist was nice but the wait time is too long. There always short staffed in the front and back office. Took forever. I Brought my wife here for 3 cavity’s to get done today but they didn’t get more than one cavity done due to short staff and a lot of patients. We definitely won’t be coming back.

Negative experience: Waited for 3 hrs didn’t get seen because they closed. I also had an appointment! I had a babysitter and everything. I’m pretty sure these reviews are fake. It’s also dirty. Don’t say you weren’t warned!
