Fantastic experience: Crestview Dental Care in Maryville is the ONLY HOLISTIC Dental Center in the Knoxville area. They won't poison you!! Since the lockdowns in 2020, most people have realized the big pharma medical system does not want to CURE anyone. It's all about getting more money and reducing the population. The dentists, and everyone else at Crestview Dental are really friendly and gentle. I will gladly drive 30 miles to go there. I'm old and my teeth (what's left of them) are a mess. Dr. Tommy Spears looked in my mouth and saw what I already knew... I need a lot of help! Glad I can get help from a holistic Dentist, even if I have to run up a credit card bill. We can't count on our Medical Insurance to cover what's needed but I'm worth saving, IMHO. I'm 70 now and still feeling like hanging around, probably because I avoid letting the system poison me.

Fantastic experience: Had teeth (implanted implants) cleaned by Susan. She checked with me several times to make sure I was not experiencing any discomfort. Looking forward to my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: I went in for a cleaning yesterday and I had many questions for the dental hygienist about the differences between a bridge and an implant. Ashley Weir was SO patient as she addressed each of my concerns and told me not to worry when I thought all my questions might make her run late the rest of the day. I ALWAYS feel seen and heard when I'm there. I love this office!

Fantastic experience: If you can switch to Crestview Dental then you need to ASAP. They are so kind and professional! They also go above and beyond to take care of their patients. They use hydroxyapatite instead of fluoride and send you home with the healthiest brand of natural toothpaste and a bamboo toothbrush!! I’m so impressed and love going here!

Positive experience: I really like the dentist and have been very happy with his work, but issues with the front office may make me change dentists. Details? A few years ago I found out by accident that I had a credit balance of about $700, and had been carrying that credit for a year! They never told me. The latest issue is that when I made the co-pay for my dental work, they applied it to my husband's account. Then they asked me for more money, more than insurance said I would owe as a co-pay. I paid it. Once the work was done, I looked at my statement and saw I had a $400+ credit. Both myself and my husband had crowns done and paid what they said we owed and what insurance said we owed. I asked for the $400+ to be refunded and they said no, because suddenly my husband had a new charge on his account for a couple hundred. When his dental work was done, they said he had paid what was due and now there's a new charge. The final straw is when my husband got an estimate for work to be done on "tooth #x" and told him what he would owe. Well, he doesn't need any more work, and tooth #x is MY tooth that they just crowned and the work was done and paid in full, or so they said. They gave HIM a treatment plan for MY tooth that has already been fixed! I have no faith in the billing office anymore. The amounts they ask to be paid rarely match what insurance says we owe, they mix up our accounts and payments, and delay refunding an overpayment. As I said, the dentist does good work and the staff is fabulous, but the front office issue is making me consider switching dentists.

From Bethany with the Myology, to Dr. Spears for dentistry, to Amanda and Dr. Giza for orthodontics, and every between, we’ve always encountered competent and friendly providers and I especially appreciate their willingness to listen and approach care from a holistic viewpoint. Fantastic experience: New patient today. Great experience. Very professional staff. I was notified by text that my new Dentist would not be available today and was given the option of a different Dentist. I accepted and was able to keep my appointment. The cleaning and evaluation went better than expected because of the high tech cleaning equipment, x-ray, equipment, and photographic equipment. The Dental hygienist (Susan), went over my dental pictures and x-rays after the cleaning and explained everything that may be of concern. I really felt well informed. Based on my initial visit, I highly recommend this group to anyone looking for a new Dentist.

Even though we've lived here for 20+ years, we wanted a dentist office closer to home and had heard really great things about Crestview, so despite being nervous about going somewhere new, I am SO GLAD that we did. Ashley cleaned my teeth and was extremely friendly!! She was gentle when she cleaned and explained everything thoroughly. I saw Dr.Zacharia and she was very friendly and also explained everything clearly! The front office staff was super friendly from the moment we walked in until the minute we left. Fantastic experience: The folks at Crestview are amazing, caring, and accommodating folks. I called their office and left a message on a Sunday (I was having a lot of pain). They called me at 8:34 am the next morning (note that they open at 8:30) and got me in to see the doc at 10:30 that morning. It was determined that I needed a root canal and they got me in to a center in Knoxville at 9:30 the next morning! The entire staff was helpful and did everything possible to address my immediate needs. The only ‘negative’ is their cleaning schedule availability — 6 months out is difficult to handle!

Fantastic experience: This was a semi-annual checkup. The office two called two hours before my appointment and said they had an opening an hour. I had been working in the yard and needed to get cleaned up and told them I couldn't be ready in an hour. I was able to get a shower and called them back and they said to come in. I arrived a few minutes after my new appointment time. I was immediately taken back to the exam room. The hygienist, Tammy did an x-ray and Dr. Goza checked my teeth and said all is good. Tammy cleaned my teeth. Dr. Goza read the x-ray and said no problems. Everything went as planned and I was done. It was a quick, efficient, complete treatment and enjoyable experience. I am very happy with Crestview Dental Care and would recommend to a friend.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the area and had not yet established with a new dentist. I started having an issue with a tooth and a friend referred me to Crestview. They got me in asap and it was a great experience with Tory the practitioner and Dr Spears. They not only have a plan in place to fix my current issue but also have identified something that if let go could cause major problems down the road. None of my previous dentists brought this to my attention. So grateful we found them!

Negative experience: My UPDATED Review 4/20/25: If you are looking for a dentist that you can trust to be supportive of your dental needs and put forth the effort to provide you with the best quality dental service you deserve, I do NOT recommend that you put your faith in Dr. Goza. Up until 10 weeks ago, I was happy with Dr. Goza and his dental team (see original review). Every thing changed when I found myself in terrible pain from a toothache and went to Dr. Goza for advice and he said he recommended pulling it and to get an implant, stating, “It will only take a few months”. Unfortunately, he didn’t review my X-rays and when I had the tooth pulled 4 days later, I was informed it could take a year for the implant due to needing a bone graph. When Dr. Goza sent me away to get my tooth pulled, he could have had an impression done of my mouth to prepare for an implant, bridge, or a temporary partial, knowing my intentions were not to go without a tooth. He did not do it. The surgeon asked me why he did not do an impression on the day of surgery and I could not answer. The surgeon even suggested that he send me back to Dr. Goza before tooth removal but I trusted Dr. Goza’s decision and I said, no. After expressing my concerns of how long it was going to take for an implant, Dr. Goza told me he did not want to do a bridge and I should hold out for an implant. When I had my teeth cleaned just a few weeks after my tooth removal, Dr. Goza avoided conversation with me by not coming in the room to review my exam. It seemed like he was in a hurry to get somewhere else. When I tried to hold off for an implant, I paid $250 more for a partial ($475 total) to get it expedited, only to get it and it did not fit my mouth. It was a snowy day when I picked it up and his dental assistant (Nikki) did not want to assist me with any adjustments that day because the office was closed and she had forgotten to lock the door. She told me to come back the next week. I did not get refunded for the $250 expedited fee. When I went back the next week, Dr. Goza replaced my partial, which I thought was kind of him, but it broke just a few weeks after. Every time I called asking for help with the partial, I felt I was a nuisance to Dr. Goza and his staff. Finally, I could stand it no longer and decided to get a bridge. When I told Dr. Goza my decision to do a bridge the conversation was intense and I don’t know if he was mad about my decision or something else was going on with him, but it was uncomfortable. On the day I went in to get the temporary bridge, his dental assistant messed up my temporary bridge when making it, openly admitted it, but yet Dr. Goza and his staff wanted me to be happy with something that looked like a small child made. I was also told that if I could not live with the temporary bridge that I would have to wear my broken partial. It felt like a threat. When I stood my ground, Dr. Goza finally did do some cosmetic work on the bridge but it was not what you would expect when paying $3500 out of pocket for a bridge, $1800 up front. After walking out the door, I was hurt that I put my faith in a doctor that did not care about the quality of product he sent me out the door with. I had a terrible night replaying the experience in my mind because I was not happy with a poor quality temporary bridge and being expected to accept it. The next morning I called to express my dissatisfaction and I was told that Dr. Goza told the office manager to give me my money back and for me to go somewhere else because, “he did not think he could make me happy”. I am devastated by how I was treated by Dr. Goza and his staff. The only thing I expected was for a doctor to take pride in the work he did and not expect me to live with something that neither he or his staff would dare put in their mouths. My review 3 months ago: I have only been going to Crestview for about 3-4 years but they have been amazing from day one. Dr. Goza is the kindest doctor and he takes his time with his patients.

Fantastic experience: One of the best experiences with a dentist in a very long time. The staff was very pleasant. Dr. Nia explained my issues and the course of action. I felt at ease in her care. Did a follow up today (1-23-2020) with the anticipation of having a tooth extracted. I got some very good information and have postponed it, with other options made available. My concerns were addressed and I was put at ease. Thank you Dr. Nia and staff. 4-16-2025 . went in for X-rays and cleaning and to see if anything needed attention. All went well. In good shape. Cleaning was a breeze. Dr. Nia was pleased. Explained any issues, which there were none pressing. Scheduled 6-month cleaning. Highly recommend.

They are friendly and extremely prompt in returning calls and working their magic to find you a quick appointment. Their after hours assistance/ emergency care is unmatched. Their clinic staff.. I have no words. But, too many words all at the same time. I’ve never seen an office work so fluidly. So often, you are left waiting til an “assigned person of the task” can help you. They ask for assistance from a co worker, they get it immediately! There’s no “that’s not my job” attitude here. I’m honestly impressed with how efficiently they run and how obvious their respect is for one another. I truly feel cared about as a patient. They do go the extra mile, always.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely loved it here! My baby had a tongue tie, lip tie, and cheek buckles. We were referred by our lactation consultant who said Dr. Spears was the BEST dentist for this. I totally agree! Him and his team made us feel so comfortable. We also loved Kristen who took amazing care of my baby. She sung to him and made him feel comfortable. As someone who has suffered from crippling dental phobia for years, I can honestly say this is the only practice where I have ever felt truly comfortable. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this office was different—their state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge techniques make every visit smooth and stress-free. Both Dr. Spears and Dr. Zachariah are simply outstanding. They took the time to answer all of my questions and address every single one of my concerns with patience and understanding. Dr. Spears, in particular, is worth every bit of the 45-minute drive I make just to see him. He is one of the few biological dentists in all of Tennessee, which means he specializes in safe filling removals—a game-changer for those of us who care about holistic dental care. If you have any anxiety about the dentist, Crestview Dental is the place to go. I never thought I’d say this, but I actually look forward to my appointments now!

As a new mom, I’ve had to bring my baby with me on several occasions and the staff are so helpful, patient and understanding. Even willing to walk to him and entertain if needed. They have been gentle and understanding with my dental anxiety and genuinely feel that they want to help. On top of all these wonderful things, it is a very clean and well maintained office. Fantastic experience: I broke my front tooth, and Crestview Dental was able to fit me into their busy schedule the same day. The staff was friendly and helpful and put me at ease. Ashley took care not to damage my tooth further while taking x-rays and molds. Dr. Tommy Spears worked to save my tooth, and when he realized it was too badly damaged and cracked, personally ensured an immediate appointment with an oral surgeon to have it extracted. I could not be more pleased with my treatment and care. The staff is friendly and concerned for their patients. I am looking forward to Crestview Dental providing my family's regular dental care in the Knoxville area.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Crestview for X-Rays and establish myself as a new customer. Their equipment and facility are awesome. Fantastic experience: I could not be more satisfied. Dr Spears removed seven amalgam fillings from my mouth and replaced them with new safe fillings. Everything was done professionally and with no pain. I've used several dentists in the Knoxville area but I have finally found the dentist that I want to stay with as long as possible. I could not recommend this practice any more.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Crestview Dental was wonderful! Not a fan of the dentist but from checkin to checkout, the staff was really wonderful and I loved the Dr. Jake. They did everything so efficiently and as I was a worked in case I didn't expect to get the procedure started the same day but they were able to accomodate that as well! Excellent experience!
