Fantastic experience: Had to edit...the way these people just hooked me up not just today but for my next appointment hands down RECOMMEND. I was not expecting to cry today lol #happytears Thank you for my gifts. Definitely helps you have no idea what you guys just did for me!!!

Negative experience: HORRIBLE SERVICE BEWARE So I set up an appointment with the location on McClintock and Southern in Tempe and I went in there to get braces. Everything was nice. The front desk girl was really sweet. The girl who did my exams was really nice to me and got me a water and was welcoming and then I waited in the office office number one for the doctor to come in. The doctor comes in (Dr. Denny)Doesn’t say hi to me does not welcome me. Look at me like I am a foreign object tells me to get into the seat opens my mouth starts examining it and then tells me straight away. Do I have any questions about the Braces. I tell him my questions. He answers them very dryly, not nicely at all. And then he direct me to the girl with the financing talking to me. (Josie)She has a disgusting attitude. As if I work for her, I’ve been waiting a whole week and I’ve been so excited about getting braces and then this is what happens now I have to look for another location to go to and this is just stupid that I had to deal with this you guys expect me to pay $3750 at least treat me nicely. I’m willing to pay whatever it takes to get my braces but at least treat me with decency and be nice or act like you’re nice. I’m a grown man. This is a horrible location, and if this is what you have dealing with your people or if I had a child that I brought here or an elderly parents or whomever, I would never recommend them to go to this place or even step near it I go back to ask for the doctors name and the assistant name the assistant whose name Josie the one who was in charge of the financing standing there and she responds when I’m asking her coworker what her name is she responds and says my name is Josie with a smile on her face, as if she’s proud of providing bad service and giving me an attitude for absolutely no reason like I said everyone else was nice besides these two horrible horrible horrible.

Fantastic experience: My recent visit to this dental office with my teenager was, without a doubt, the best dental experience we've ever had. We typically deal with a lot of anxiety during these appointments, but the entire staff made a huge difference. From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which immediately helped put us at ease. Gaby, the x-ray technician, was so caring and patient, taking the time to explain everything. The gentle and empathetic approach continued with Josie, the dental assistant, and Dr. Tapia, the dentist. They were outstanding, ensuring my teen was comfortable, consistently checking in with her, explaining each step, and demonstrating genuine compassion. Their calm demeanor helped to reduce the usual high anxiety my teenager feels when going to a dentist. We left the office feeling not only relieved but also genuinely positive about the experience. I can't recommend this practice enough for anyone, especially those with dental anxiety.

Dr. Tapia and Monse were both very sweet, kind, and gentle. it was quick and painless, and they listened to all of my concerns and did a terrific job. The service and attention was excellent and really fair price, especially with the promotions they run.

Fantastic experience: I have been at risas dental and brace(Tempe location) for almost 3 years now and have enjoyed the affordable prices, and services from the front desk, dentists and dental assistants. I have also referred Risas Dental and braces to other individuals and families and they have gone to Risas Dentals and Braces at locations near them. Today I saw Dr. Han and his assistant Monse. It was was second time with Dr.Han and he was very attentive asking me if I had any inquiries, and Monse asked throughout the cleaning if there was any left over products when biting and if I felt any discomfort. Thank you everyone at Risas Dental and braces Tempe!

Fantastic experience: Staff is always kind and friendly at this location. Had a appointment for a checkup and clean up a week from today but due to a filling breaking off. Had to do walking in, they where busy with no openings available. But Dr Nelson and his assistant Irvanna took x-rays and looked at my teeth. Confirmed it was a filling that had breaking off. He decided to fix the filling although he was busy he made time to fill in the filling. He was very considerate of my concern he fixed my teeth fast and easy didn't have to wait till next week thanks Dr Nelson and his assistant Irvanna.

It also doesn't feel like constant pressure on you need to do this, and that just to get more money for the office. I always feel like my family owns this office it's so welcoming and comfortable there.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming here about 6 months now and have always left satisfied, all the doctors and assistants are very kind, gentle and helpful. Risas is very affordable compared to other offices. When I first came in my teeth were in bad shape, it had been a long time since I’ve gone to the dentist and I was worried about any judgment, but Dr. Han never judged and instead was very kind and assured me that all he wanted to was to help me have a healthy smile again. Gabby tightened my braces today, she was quick but efficient and walked me through every step, I highly recommend this location.

Negative experience: I didn’t even wanna leave a one star but I did wanna let people know that I would never recommend this place to anybody. I paid Dr. Nelson to remove two teeth and a few root tips. He couldn’t get one root tip because he couldn’t seem to get the anesthesia in the right area to numb my mouth All the way so I felt a lot of the pulling and grinding. He did manage to get one tooth out, but left a bunch of tooth fragments Or root tips, which he was supposed to be trying to get out in my gum. I decided to go have a second opinion and go and get an oral surgeon to look at my mouth. I’m so glad I did. He didn’t even wanna give me my money back he wanted proof that he left root tips that he was supposed to have already taken out. I’m really glad I took my x-rays with me that the oral surgeon took. I do not recommend this place to even my worst enemy And they should be investigated for malpractice Because this is bullshit they should be paying for me to see this oral surgeon to do the work there Dr said he did but didn’t this Dr screwed me over and I am considering going to court

Negative experience: I had a filling done here and shortly after, experienced a great deal of pain. After contacting them about a follow up appointment, they told me it was "normal", and that I should wait for it to subside. Well, it turns out the filling had fallen out after the appointment. The new hole rotted out beneath the gumline before I had a chance to come back it, necessitating an incredibly painful extraction and absurdly expensive implant process. The whole thing could have been avoided had the receptionist not shrugged off my pain and actually followed up. Edit: After contacting them, they chose to do nothing. Because, you know... Their own policies. Also apparently they can't figure out what tooth it is somehow? (Hint, it's the one that was extracted) So their record keeping policies are as unreliable as their dental work.

Fantastic experience: Had my crown and root canal done in February then deep cleanings in March. It's been a minute since I have had stuff done for my teeth so I was a bit nervous But during all my visits the staff were always so friendly and polite! Super helpful too and explained the dental process as well as financing well. Now I have no more tooth pain and feel much better about my teeth. Thank you!

Negative experience: New patient experience - arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment, right when they opened. Waited in lobby for over an hour past appointment time. Employee called my first name to go back, but there was another person with same first name waiting that went with them first; employee was about to take back the incorrect patient and no ID verification methods used until I inquired if correct patient. Spent 2.5 hours in office for new patient x-rays and cleaning. No initial apologies for delay. The dentists complete the cleaning rather than dental assistants which likely is large reason for delays.

Fantastic experience: My child got braces in another state and they broke. Without charging me they fixed our issue with no appointment and no cost! The following week they put complete new hardware in for almost half the cost then before. They were so fast and efficient and were super supportive and caring for mine and my child's questions and needs. I love the front desk receptionists at this location. Always smiling and caring. Only thing I would change is some more welcoming decoration on the walls for it to be more welcoming to children and maybe little prizes for the kids to go home with but they do provide great little teeth care kits and include a lot with one overall price.

Negative experience: Quantity over quality, it's that simple. I stayed at this office far too long. Honestly, I didn't think I had options to go elsewhere with my insurance. I was wrong!! Do your research. Not all dentists are owned by large corporations.
