Fantastic experience: We recently switched to summit family dental. Myself as well as my daughters had a great experience during our cleaning. My youngest gets very nervous of new encounters and I will admit the dentist can be scary! They went above and beyond to make sure she felt comfortable during her visit. I am so glad we made the switch.

Fantastic experience: First time there...I had a toothache and was in lots of pain. I set up a time to meet but I got lost and it was near closing on Friday July 25 by the time I got there. She still took me in and looked at the tooth that was infected. She made some calls and set it up for Monday first thing to set up an appointment for a root canal, and in the meantime she put in a prescription for an antibiotic to pick up that day. They were just wonderful. I felt so welcomed and I felt truly cared for. I left with a joyful heart. I would highly recommend them to anyone. :)

Fantastic experience: Dr Mark and his entire team are Awesome!

Negative experience: The staff was nice and respectful.. I was told it was a free consalt. As I went to leave i was charged 129.00. That was not told to me over the phone. I would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I have to thank my dentist, Dr. Krista Wortman, who works at Summit Family Dental, for making me realize my teeth needed to be fixed. I also decided to get my teeth straightened with Invisalign, and she's doing a great job with that also. The staff are so friendly and sweet. I'm very pleased with Summit Family Dental, and I highly recommend that's the place to go if you need any dental work.

Fantastic experience: Today, after calling other emergency dentists due to being in immense pain for a few days, I was able to get an appointment with Summit within an hour, which I was very grateful for. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly by the receptionists, especially Maddy. After filling out the necessary forms, in just a matter of minutes I was taken to the x-ray room by Bella. She was very thorough and explained things in detail. Next was the procedure room, and I was quite impressed with the new patient gift bag awaiting me on the chair. Sydney, the technician was kind, caring, and friendly. Dr. Akhtar then came in, the preliminaries were explained, then she began the procedure which was very detailed. I felt zero pain and everything went perfectly. Many thanks to all of the great staff, and I give my recommendation to this fine dental practice!

Fantastic experience: Summit Family Dental is truly a special place. The caring and kindness of the staff fill the air. Such a nice facility, clean and calm. Dr. Krista, Dr. Lauren, and Dr. Mark are all top-notch, talented dentists. A special shout out goes to Karyn, the best hygienist around. I went for a cleaning midway through Invisalign treatment. My teeth are sensitive and "dancing" and I was very nervous. Karyn was careful and gentle, no discomfort. Thank you to Karyn and everyone at Summit Family Dental.

Fantastic experience: May 27, 2025 My first appointment with Summit Family Dental was on May 20, 2025. A few days prior, when I walked into the office I was greeted by Maddie. In no time she scheduled me for my appointment, took down all my basic information, provided me their "Welcome Folder" with all the necessary paperwork to complete for their records and then she answered all my questions. First thing I thought was that she was extremely helpful and very efficient -- always a great sign. Next, Hanan introduced herself as my hygienist. She immediately and professionally had all my x-rays done quickly and then Dr. Lauren entered, introduced herself, performed a preliminary exam and reviewed my x-rays with me. Again, I was so impressed by their efficiency and yet they both made me feel so comfortable and completely relaxed -- another great sign. Then, Hanan begin her hygienist duties. It had been several months since my last dental appointment and being 81 years old, I have been to my share of dental hygienist but I have NEVER had my teeth cleaned like this before. Hanan obviously knew what she was doing and was so professional while doing her job to perfection!! The best part of all was that her demeanor was so calm while she worked her miracle. For the first time in my life I am looking forward to my next dental appointment. Bert Gelmine

Fantastic experience: Love my experience every time I walk into the office, the most professional and kind staff!!

Negative experience: I had work done here and had a follow up in two weeks. When I went for my follow up appointment I waited for over an hour with nobody coming to check on me or give any details. I ended up leaving and the lady at the front desk didn’t care one bit. If I wasn’t already in the process of having work done I would never walk in these doors again. The kicker is it’s been nearly two weeks since this has happened and I haven’t had one call from them to reschedule or offer an apology for their lack of service.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Lauren is the best. The first time I saw her, I needed a root canal—and she made it as painless as possible. The second time, I had a cracked tooth. She did a same day crown for me, squeezing me in to her already busy day. She is kind, knowledgeable, and skilled. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: No one answers the phone and they send you a prescreening by text to make sure your insurance pays, before they even call me back. How hard is it just to answer the phone and have a conversation with me or call me back.

Positive experience: First time patient today, next week I have a consultation so the dentist can further explain some things from my appointment today, I’ll leave a review afterwards, maybe things will make more sense, came in worried about a tooth and some other concerns about the overall health of my teeth, and advice to improve them or ways to manage for my future, as someone that worries and overthinks, I left even more worried

Positive experience: I have mixed feelings on my first visit to this dental office. The receptionist and x-ray technician were excellent. The waiting area is very welcoming. I thought I was going to see a dental hygienist but instead I had a new dentist to clean my teeth She used a drill to clean my teeth. I usually have a hygienist scrape tartar off the teeth and polish teeth. Also, the first room I was placed in the equipment did not work and had to be moved to a second room. I had to hold the suction tube which was a fist for me. I have a another appointment coming up and I hope it will go more smoothly.

Fantastic experience: Oh, do I have a story! In mid November I went to Dr Szandzik for tooth extraction. During my visit Dr. Szandzik told me to contact my doctor and tell them that he sees calcium buildup on my carotid artery. I saw my Dr on Dec 16th, had a Doppler on Dec 27th. CT of the heart on Jan 16. Cardiac catheter on Jan 28th. My LAD was 95% blocked, they call it the widow maker. Two days later I’m home feeling very blessed and thankful! Thank you Dr Szandzik!! You saved my life!

Fantastic experience: from the front desk, to the assistants, hygentist and dentist everyone is so kind and friendly. quick, efficient and always answer all my questions and concerns! highly recommend.

Negative experience: I was a new patient. I was told that I had approximately 9 cavities and 1 cap needed, after xrays and another scanning machine. I was shocked. Yes I hadnt been to a dentist in 3 years due to no insurance for this but it seemed extreme. I called my old dentist which happened to take my insurance as of this year. I got a second opinion thank god- they said 5 cavities no cap and it wasnt that bad. Cut my cost down more than half. They said its possible that this dentist was misdiagnosing with the scan technology which shouldnt diagnose cavities as its not fully accurate or meant to disgnose that. Its upsetting that this office would have put me through work that wasnt needed and was going to be terribly expensive. This office seems out for money. Im glad I did second opinion and will not return. I do not recommend.

Positive experience: Had a new dentist and I prefer to have who I usually see, I am not sure if she still works at office. Felt like they were trying to get me to spend money on a sleep appliance and invision line to correct teeth alignment. Didn’t even get a new toothbrush

My last appointment was going to be stressful as I was having particularly difficult decay issues. Dr. Mark reviewed what was happening and put forth a thorough treatment plan. Fantastic experience: I started coming to Summit with my 3 children in mind. I have been to 2 other dental offices with them in the past, one with such a horrible experience, so as I searched high and low I came across Summit. My kids don't mind coming in for their cleanings, enjoy the toys/arcade game in the waiting room, and have always been treated with respect. My younger 2 children had their first cleanings at this office and they have been champs about them ever since. I'm glad we've found the perfect place for them.

Negative experience: Consult was done online. Was turned down for treatment in less then 5 minutes. Has had consult by our current dentist that says he can have them, but we were looking for better pricing because our insurance doesn't cover orthodontics. He is having a consult at another office that ensures me he will not be turned down nor will it be a skimpy consult.

Fantastic experience: Not too sure how this is possible but I feel like I just left a spa not my first dental cleaning experience at Summit Family Dental. Staff was kind, patient, gentle and kept me well informed during each step of the visit. You can tell this team goes out of their way to provide a welcoming environment for their patients and even offer a variety of comfort items to help keep the visit as stress free as possible (see pics). They have some pretty cool tech as well - great to know this practice is embracing the advancements in dental health! Fantastic experience: Our hygienist Karen was amazing. I warned both Dr. Lauren and Karen my son had a gag reflex. Sure enough he threw up, and Karen was prepared. She was wonderful at explaining what she was going to do so he knew what to expect. Surprisingly, my son made it through the entire exam and cleaning. I would definitely recommend family dental.

Fantastic experience: New patient here! My fiancé started coming here and had a great experience so I made an appointment when I started my new job and finally had insurance. I can’t even describe how wonderful Dr Lauren, Sierra, and Karen were. I have a rare disease and Dr Lauren had even researched it before I even came in. That is such an amazing thing as a patient used to having to educate health care providers about my condition. It was above and beyond. The technology here is top notch with the 3D imaging and x-rays. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 7 years because of insurance/money so to have had such a great experience was so nice. I can’t wait to get my wisdom teeth out and start the Invisalign treatment so my smile is where I want it to be for our wedding next year.

Fantastic experience: New patient, love the technology and people. They offer options all under one roof. I also love the location. Walking thru the office the pictures, tell a great story of volunteering, local history and the staff as a team. I will be moving our family of 5 here.
