Dental Care of Boca Raton

Negative experience: I have been a patient at Dental Care of Boca for over 5 and a half years. Today, after my cleaning, I was quoted for a crown and given an estimate of what my insurance would cover. Thankfully, my boyfriend is familiar with insurance, and I also contacted my insurance provider directly to confirm the information. During that call, I learned that my dental coverage is not even active due to an HR error at my job—yet the office still quoted me based on supposed “benefits.” In addition, I was told my out-of-pocket cost would be $1,800, even though an employee at Dental Care of Boca explained that my plan covers 50% of all major work. This discrepancy makes it appear that the office was attempting to collect significantly more than what I would actually owe. This also raises broader concerns about my billing history. It appears I may have been overcharged in the past, both directly and through my insurance, with excess funds being credited to my account rather than processed correctly.

Negative experience: Dr. Sam is an amazing dentist. Very kind and caring. The office staff is horrible. They will change your appointment time to a time where the patient is unable to make that time. They won't give you answers to why they change your time.

Negative experience: It was a terrible experience and a complete waste of time and money. My wife and I booked an appointment for a simple teeth cleaning, but after spending a frustrating hour, they tried to charge us almost 20 times more than what we had agreed on. Totally unprofessional and misleading. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Ardeshana. Although the staff seemed friendly, he was extremely rude to me. All I needed was to have my crown re-cemented (a procedure I had already paid for before), but instead of helping, he told me I “wasted his time” and refused to provide the proper support. On top of that, the clinic did not offer any flexibility or payment plan for the nearly $28,000 worth of additional treatments I needed. As someone who had recommended this doctor to many people for years, I am deeply disappointed by such unprofessional and disrespectful treatment.

Fantastic experience: Extreme tooth pain had me calling them in a panic early on a Saturday morning. They saw me within 2 hours, diagnosed me and my root canal was s successfully completed by the end of the day. Doctor and whole staff were friendly, helpful, and patient with me despite some early blood pressure issues. Would definitely recommend.

She did a crown on me in only about one hour with absolutely no pain and made me feel very comfortable and secure that I’ll get my dental goals 100 percent met. I love Ronald and the front desk he is wonderful and also Eli is AMAZING. I can not express enough how happy and grateful I am to all the team at Dental Care Boca Raton.

Fantastic experience: I’m getting excellent care from Dr Watts who replaced my crown which had detached. She was competent, gentle, cheerful and had a great sense of humor. The work was done on Sunday morning, which was excellent.

Negative experience: The reason I do NOT recommend this place is because they are on the business for themselves and not the patients. I sent my son over for a cleaning and I called before the appointment requesting them NOT to perform an XRAY without my authorization, I emailed them his last X-rays from just 5 months prior the appointment and they didn’t care to call me and say the reason they didn’t want to accept his last X-rays. Ridiculous that I asked and requested them not to and they still did it. I called them next day and asked why and guess what ? they didn’t even have a reason on the notes, could not explain why I was not notified as per my request. Not only that but I myself went for a cleaning and the Doctor had the guts to lie to my face saying they were required by Florida Law to have one x ray per year and could not do the cleaning without. At the moment I told the state law doesn’t require such thing. Still they keep try to convince you of the opposite. By the way here is the state law Chapter 466 of the Florida Statutes. A place that do NOT care for you as a patient.

Fantastic experience: My crown fell off in middle of night and they were only ones open on a Sunday and able to get me in. Everyone was very friendly as well. Will continue to go to them as my primary dentist.

It’s not optimal for a patient receiving care to have to answer more questions during treatment. Area to improve would be to be completely versed in each case and introduce yourself before treatment.

Fantastic experience: Oh my gosh! This place is SUPER AMAZING! Everyone is soooo nice! Very professional and friendly! Explained all my questions and addressed all my issues and even pulled off some things that were impossible for my old dentist (in Virginia)! They fixed some chips in my front teeth- one was almost 30 years old and it looks like it never happened! I can’t believe it- I didn’t know it was possible! They have incredible people who are working there and they work hard to give you a great smile while preserving as much of your original teeth as possible which is rare because a lot of dentist where I was from would just do more work, take more teeth and charge more money- but not here! They were in network with my insurance which never happened where I was from and they were able to get me in the same day or next day! They are open 7 days a week and open later hours on week days so that’s super convenient for my working spouse and I just couldn’t appreciate them more! I have a few names to throw down like Vadiel, Giselle, Ellie, David, and of course Doctor Ardeshana or Doctor A but honestly hands down everyone there was super incredible and very talented and helpful! I’D HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM EVERYONE!!!! Especially if you’re nervous and/ or been mistreated by a dentist before- GO HERE! YOU WON’T REGRET IT- YOU’LL BE RELIEVED AND ALL YOUR FEARS WILL DISAPPEAR!!!

Negative experience: This place is a complete scam and all they care about is money . First off they lead you into making their dental insurance, that only covers a cleaning and they claim that you get discounts in dental procedures and the discount is usually like $100 less LOL. They will ALWAYS push you into doing something that costs hundreds of dollars, even if you don't need it. They charge around $333 for 1 cavity!!! Just insane insane insane. Also when you call them to cancel the dental plan, they have the audacity to ask which place we found that is cheaper! I said no comments and they insisted! Who even does that?

Fantastic experience: Dental Care staff were super friendly and patient with me. I had to make an emergency appointment on a Sunday and they were kind enough to fit me in. They answered any questions or concerns I had and were very helpful. This was my first time at their office and will now make this my primary.

Negative experience: The office is freezing first off. I was sitting in the waiting all alone. The man at the desk left to go to the back and I needed help getting up. I was yelling for help before the office manager cam to help Mel she asked where the man was and Iibsaud he is in the back doing G-D knows what. Then the hygienist had such a thick accent I could bereft understand her.! I took the doctor 45 minutes to come in and his name is unpronounceable. He made me feel that Unwas wasting his time. Never had such a horrible experience. They are thev worst. .

Negative experience: Please read the other less favorable reviews and everyone will say the same thing . Be AWARE do not go ! From the moment the dentist came in he recommended 3 different cosmetic procedures without barely looking in mouth , none of which were covered by insurance. Once he realized I only wanted a cleaning - without doing an X-ray low behold " you have 8 cavities to be filled which would cost 1500$ mind you I have excellent dental insurance. One year ago I had no cavities how could it be I now have 8? Went to another dentist and to what I already suspected I have NONE!! Should really be ashamed - you are medical professionals , people are relying on you for honesty and proper healthcare only to be scammed out of their hard earned money!! Go elsewhere ASAP and spread the world around BOCA!!! Side note - the dental assistant was super nice she doesn't belong with them !

Negative experience: Go somewhere else! It seems that they really like pushing this scaling procedure. I said I didn’t want to do the procedure because of the cost. They sat me down with the person who goes over benefits. I was told oh don’t worry your insurance covers X and you would only need to pay for Y. Perfect. I paid my portion went through with the procedure. Now months later I get a bill because my insurance denied the procedure. I understand that insurance can deny anything but I got a second opinion. They stated I did NOT require this procedure my gums and teeth were fine. Now I’m stuck with this bill for something I didn’t want to do because I didn’t have money to pay for it….

Fantastic experience: I had a interdental brush tip stuck in between 2 molars with wire sticking out irritating my gums and cheeks! I walked in and I was seen within 5 minutes. Lianne x-rayed my teeth and she was able to remove the the irritating wire tip - an expert - it was her first wire brush extraction! Lianne was also very pleasant and friendly And I was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable amount they charged me for an “emergency”!walkin on a late Saturday afternoon This will be my go to clinic when I am wintering in Boca! For me, it was a most memorable experience. She is a 10 member of the team from my perspective. Then I went to David. What a pleasure it was to have him do my scan. Negative experience: I have been coming here for many years , the pushing of getting treatments done is more like used car sales. If one person can’t convince you then the office manager will come in and pressure you. Everything is negative when discussing your teeth, i’m suprised I still have teeth the way they talk about what needs to be done. After refusing a deep scaling treatment I just asked for my regular teeth cleaning which was done so fast and my teeth didn’t have the clean feeling i usually get after a cleaning. I then called a different dentist the next day to clean my teeth and there was no mention of having to do a deep scaling treatment and my teeth felt amazing after they did my cleaning. I could go on, I don’t know what happened to this office but it sure isn’t the same place , it’s all about $$$$. Very unfortunate

Fantastic experience: On a scale of one thru ten I would have to give it a ten. Comfort personable and very professional. I am very difficult to please when it comes to dentistry and very anxious and they changed that .

Negative experience: The staff at the office was courteous, but I felt that the practice was primarily focused on profit-driven motives. I was informed that I required six fillings, and throughout the visit, additional treatments were continually recommended. Ultimately, they proposed a treatment plan costing over $3,000 for issues I wasn’t previously aware of. After seeking a second opinion from a different dentist, I was advised that a simple paste would suffice to strengthen my teeth.

Negative experience: Scammers. I have now reached out to lawyers to see if I have a case against them. Stole my deposit for a procedure that was never finished, when I asked where my money went they told me they have no idea. Tried sending me to collections for the same procedure that was never finished. Manager never called me.back out of the hundreds of times Ive called, Ive previously left another bad review thinking that would prompt a phone call also but nope. Now the manager is trying to say I never called. Your calls are recorded- go back ans check. I am in excruciating pain due to having a nerve exposed from where they never finished the crown. They are telling me now they want me to pay an additional $700 for dental xrays so they can see what is going on because of the issue THEY HAVE CREATED by ignoring their patients hundreds of calls for MONTHS. I have gone to the ER for pain management because I dont have any dental insurance for another month. I refuse to give these money hungry scammers another penny because they should do whats right.

Fantastic experience: I’ll be the first to admit I’m terrified of going to the dentist especially when I know I need some extra work. Dr. A and his assistant Angie done everything to assure I was comfortable and pain free throughout the entire process. It’s been years that I’ve been able to say I look forward to my dental care in the future. Amazing staff in the entire office.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dental Care of Boca Raton. Both my husband & son have been there & I had my first visit three days ago. Everyone is very nice, professional & explains everything very well through each step of your visit, whether you're speaking with a dental technician, the front desk or anyone else. The same is true of the doctor himself. I really appreciated the time & care he took, explaining different options for my particular issues, starting my procedure & making me feel respected as a patient. It was wonderful feeling like I was not on an assembly line, something that is rare these days!

Fantastic experience: The facility was clean and pristine and the staff was warm and welcoming. I was greeted by the reception and the wait time was within a couple of minutes. The hygienist, Natalia asked me if I had any concerns and then sent in the tech to take pictures of my month. Both women were very friendly. Although the cleaning was a little long, I was overall pleased with the care. Natalia was gentle and thorough. The dentist followed up with me and let me know that I had a cavity, but it could wait until I was done with my Invisalign. He asked if I had any questions and was also very helpful and friendly. Overall recommend Dental Care of Boca.

Fantastic experience: The staff was excellent and friendly. The dentist and his assistant was very concerning of how i felt during my procedure wanted to make sure i was comfortable. It was very affordable having my teeth being so decayed and needing to be pulled. This is my new dentist and dental office .. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

This was my first wisdom tooth extraction experience and I couldn’t be anymore pleased with the results. I was very nervous, But the dental assistant reassured me that everything was gonna be OK. She walk me through the process which was very comforting. Dr. Mehulkumar Ardeshana Is very efficient and gentle. The whole procedure I felt no pain. It was over within minutes. Over all 10/10 experience.

Fantastic experience: This place is a hidden gem! From the ease of making an appointment to the fabulous staff that greets you, this place is amazing! Dr. Carlos Villacis was the most gentle and personable dentist i have ever experienced! He was kind, had a sense of humor, and really took my feelings into consideration. During my visit, the gentleman who did my x-rays was thorough and walked me through every step. Maricruz (I hope I spelled that right) was just as wonderful! I just wish my nerves didn't get the best of me, and I remembered the name of the beautiful young lady with the braids who got me settled in my room....she was amazing, too! From someone who loathes the dentist, this office has changed my mind! I will be moving my entire family from Sage (gag) to this office. If you need a fabulous dental office, look no further!!! I am one happy patient!!

He has been very patient and understanding through the whole process as I was looking for perfection. He even came in on his day off to accomadate me and give me a perfect smile. Thank you so much!
